Saudi-Born Singer, Shams Bandar, Flees to the West to Escape the “Hell of the Arab World”

Somebody should tell her that Barack is busy duplicating that ‘Hell’ right here, so she better hurry.

Shams is a very brave woman who has already been called a traitor to the Arab people many times for her views. In this video, the interviewer insists that the USA and UK can be no better, and that we “caused the catastrophes of the (Arab) peoples.” She points out that Arabs have been slaughtering each other for 1400 years. America has been around for less than 300. How is it that we are responsible for all their catastrophes? The lady makes a good point. I hope she survives the next few months. This video is also particularly interesting for it’s commentary about the current Syrian crisis. Hat tip: Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler.

Halloween Science: Your Cats Really Are Trying to Kill You

cat-filing-nailsDailyMail[via Whoopie at BlurBrain] – They are well loved for their immaculate fluffy coats and unique personalities but new research suggests cats do have a much darker side.

A study carried out between the University of Edinburgh and Bronx Zoo compared our beloved domestic cat with its wilder relatives.

Compared with the snow leopard, the Scottish wildcat and the African lion, researchers found these larger predators shared similar characteristics of aggression and neurotic behaviour to domestic cats.

‘They’re cute and furry and cuddly, but we need to remember when we have cats as pets, we are inviting little predators into our house,’ psychologist Dr. Max Wachtel told 9NEWS.

‘For a lot of people, it is worth it. Cats can be fantastic, sweet companions. Until they turn on you.’ Only their size prevents the cat from being able to unleash its full predatory qualities.

Russia Rising: Has the Newly Confident Culture of Putin’s Russia Captured the Magic that America Has Lost?

Masha4There is no longer any doubt that Russian energy production will eventually crush OPEC and the once mighty Saudi oil empire. Even now in the Middle East and broader Asia, Russia has happily replaced the weakened American military influence, especially in Syria. Russian Television has increasingly replaced western media as a source of unbiased, hard news. But in addition to all this flexing of Russian muscle, Moscow has found an unexpected way to capture the heart and soul of the world in the cultural arena. That’s very bad news for Americans who have dominated the world culture wars for a century and seem now to be abandoning that prize.
Bear2
One striking example of this strategic shift is the rise of an extraordinary animated media company that has been called “the new Pixar.” This company is not located in the United States or in the West at all. The company is Animaccord Animation Studio, and it operates in Moscow, but it’s reach is becoming long. Since 2008, it has produced over 50 popular episodes of a children’s cartoon called “Masha and the Bear,” and it’s recently released many of these in English and secured contracts with Netflix and other western distributors.
Chess
By itself, that accomplishment doesn’t sound like much of a threat. But aside from achieving Pixar-like quality in just a few years, their creative talent – notably that of creator Oleg Kuzovkov – has struck a chord all over the world by capturing the fresh charm of old American Warner Brothers cartoons or the original Little Rascals. At a time when most children’s media is creatively paralyzed by political correctness and multiculturalism, Masha is free of all those things. Its stories are full of charming drama that can no longer show up in western cartoons. For example: a hyperactive little girl with zero parental supervision who’s a colossal pain in the ass and an actual existential threat to her woodland neighbors. Ethnic costumes and characters with no apologies or multi-culty stupidity. Christmas episodes that are not paganized or winter-solsticized. And, thank GOD, very little compulsive preaching about social issues! And it’s all hilarious. We should learn from this. But we probably won’t.

Ghost of Ambassador Stevens Shows Up at Hearing; Absolves Hillary

A surprise witness showed up at the House Select Committee on Benghazi hearing during former Secretary of State Clinton’s deposition. The deceased Ambassador Chris Stevens showed up to testify indirectly through the words of Secretary Clinton. Prompted right on cue by the Democrat members of the committee, Clinton spoke long and eloquently about Chris Steven’s sacrifice as if they were dear friends. She spoke of his willingness to be at the Benghazi post and his most intimate feelings about the danger involved and his willingness to sacrifice for his country.

It was almost as if she had actually spoken to him once or twice. Of course, that was not really the case, beyond taking official State Department photographs together. In fact, she famously forgot his name immediately after his death, and she admitted today that he never even had access to her personal email address. But she put on a marvelous show of knowing his motivations and, apparently, his lack of posthumous regret. As they say, Ambassador Stevens was unavailable for comment. But she tried to fake it pretty well, anyway.

At least one Benghazi hero’s uncle is not buying the lies today: “She should be ashamed.”

Vox: Medical Tests Prove Barack Obama DNA “No More Than 12.5% Pussy” Despite Putin’s Claim

BarackCat1j
Vox [Gruntington Post Parody] – Wild claims by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who stated on Russian TV that Obama was “100% pussy,” have been disproven by hard science.

Medical tests using a DNA sample voluntarily surrendered by the President, were processed by the George Washington University Hospital, and the results were published on the WhiteHouse.gov website as a PDF file image showing text in various incongruous fonts assembled haphazardly on a green, official-looking background, just like the previous versions of President Obama’s very convincing birth certificates.

The results, signed off by GWU senior research scientist, R.U. Cirrus, indicated that the President was “almost completely human,” with a break-down including East African, Southeast Asian, Irish-German Communist and a curious trace heritage of Chicago alley-cat, “probably Sphinx-tabby mutt.”

Several anti-science Republicans in the US House of Representatives immediately called into question the results, despite the bomb-proof conclusions. Ben Carson, who isn’t even a politician, stated in a Fox panel: “I really think that President Putin was speaking figuratively…” but he was immediately shouted down by Juan Williams, who is a senior and respected scientific voice in the journalistic community. He argued that Putin’s remarks were “typical of ignorant white Christian terrorists on the wrong side of history.”

Earth To Universe, 1969: “We Come In Peace;” 2015: “Stay Away If You Value Your Sanity”

I’m not going to comment about the movie “The Martian” or its director, Ridley Scott. I liked the book by Andy Weir, but even though I work for NASA, I think it was a bit cheap and tawdry of us to time our recent press releases about water on Mars to promote the movie. Why did we do it? Because the studio asked us, and the studio happens to share a lot of the same political sentiments with the administration that tells NASA what to do.

As for Ridley Scott, he was the subject of the first public hit piece I ever wrote. It was about Scott’s disgusting movie “Kingdom of Heaven” which distorted enough history to make Oliver Stone blush, depicting the butcher Saladin as a wise and just leader and all Crusaders as murderous thugs.

So, I’d much rather comment on Gavin McInnes’ letter to the Martians who may be hiding on Mars in all that water. I think it’s just what they need to hear:

Welcome to America. We are members of a cultural group called “The West” and it’s generally understood the West is the best. America is known as the best of the best. We’re the ones who sent you the signal and it’s likely we’re the ones you’d most like to deal with from here on out. We’ve been sending out signals for a long time so we’re going to assume you’re at least partly familiar with our culture up until the end of the 20th century. There have been some drastic changes since then, however, and we will try to make them clear.

GOP Leadership Squanders Perfect Moment; Will NEVER Defund Planned Parenthood

Brent Bozell, in his Fox News piece today put it fairly well. “There’s no pretty way of putting this.” When Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that conservatives need to be patient and that the time is still not right, there can be no other conclusion except that he has no intention of ever voluntarily voting to stop giving taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood.
giphy
How do we know this? Easy. Just imagine what could possibly make the situation more ripe for doing so – right now. A mere few months ago, no one could have imagined the complete and total havoc wrought on the reputation of Planned Parenthood by seemingly endless undercover tapes showing PP officials swigging wine and gloating about making a fortune selling intact baby parts that could only be obtained by harvesting in illegal (and horrific) ways. PP CEO Cecile Richards has been publicly forced to admit embarrassing things in front of Congress that strip virtually any remaining legitimacy from the organization.

What else could we possibly be waiting for? What science fiction writer-on-amphetamines could come up with anything more compelling? The answer, of course, is ‘nothing.’

They’ve had one job that was a no-brainer for 40 years. One job that could surely be done with good conscience even if nothing else on the conservative agenda got done. Instead, zip, zilch, nada.

They’ve made themselves immoral and useless. It’s time for us to make them extinct. Please vote for a Tea Party extremist next year, instead of a RINO.

Pentagon Downplays Significance of Taliban Taking Over All of Afghanistan Last Night

Pent1j
WASHINGTON, D.C.[DuffelBlog] — Following the Taliban’s complete takeover of Afghanistan late last night, Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook noted in an early morning press briefing that the Pentagon remains “generally positive” about the war effort and that “there is minimal cause for concern.”

“That’s how things go in a protracted counterinsurgency,” Cook told reporters. “You face some minor setbacks regardless of how many troops lose their lives or how many billions of taxpayer dollars are spent equipping local defense forces incapable of defending their own country.”

After the Taliban overran Afghan forces in Helmand earlier this year and took over the city of Kunduz this week, sources say the Obama Administration and many senior defense officials seemed surprised that major media outlets expressed even the slightest bit of interest in a war over a decade old.

At Central Command in Tampa, Fla., Gen. Lloyd Austin — who oversees forces in the region — assured reporters there was little cause for concern.

“We’ve seen this time and time again,” Austin said. “This modest spike in Taliban attacks shows that our strategy is working. These massive coordinated attacks are merely the death throes of an insurgent movement.”

Shake2
Telegraph/UK – Vladimir Putin snubbed Barack Obama and revived Russia’s historic role in the Middle East on Monday by calling for a new “broad coalition” to fight Isil based on co-operation with the Assad regime, report Richard Spencer, Harriet Alexander in New York and Roland Oliphant in Moscow.
Toast1
In his long-awaited speech at the United Nations, the Russian president fiercely attacked American policy in Syria and around the world and criticised the West for “exporting social experiments” in the form of democratic revolutions, which he blamed for the Middle East crisis.
