John Lewis Speaks

Down Georgia way resides a despicable race-hustling fraud named John Lewis. He made his political bones some 5 decades ago, marching across the Edmund Pettis Bridge arm-in-arm with Jeff sessions, the AG nominee the Democrat {arty is trying to smear as a racist.

Lewis seized on his 20 minutes of fame and was rewarded by his homeys with a permanent seat in Congress, evermore labeled a “civil rights” icon. Truth is, he’s just another Democrat liar and hypocrite who’s not ashamed to make an ass of himself while attacking any Republican when the opportunity presents itself.

Desperate for a little attention he slandered the president-elect as being “not legitimate.” Of course, the media reported it and glorified it as the word of an ‘icon.’
There’s an old expression: ‘Be careful of the toes you step on today. They may be connected to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow.”

He’s used to meek Republicans who go out of their way no to offend him. He’ll find out The Donald don’t play.

Rep. John Lewis Calls Trump’s Presidency Illegitimate

When Todd asked Lewis if he planned to try to work with Trump to pass legislation, Lewis said he believes in forgiveness but that Trump is not legitimate.

“It’s going to be very difficult,” Lewis said. “I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president.”

I don’t plan to attend the inauguration,” Lewis continued. “It will be the first one that I miss since I’ve been in Congress. You cannot be at home with something that you feel that is wrong.”

You, Sir, Are Unfortunately Being Used By Democrats

Sent to speak for saddened Democrats who are now frothing at the mouth in greater desperation to silence the voice of the people and delegitimize the election, Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) was played as a pawn today. This is unjust and despicable on the part of Democrat leaders who just tested political winds.

Trump to John Lewis: Fix your ‘horrible’ Atlanta district

SAY WHAT YOU WILL, TRUMP DOES NOT SUFFER IN SILENCE.

Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results,” Trump said in a pair of Twitter messages ahead of the city’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrations. “All talk, talk, talk – no action or results. Sad!”

Seating the Press

After CNN’s Jim Acosta twice shouted over the reporter Trump had called on, Trump’s press secretary told him if he behaved inappropriately and disrespectfully again, he would lose his seat in the press pool.

Spicer also said he would “absolutely not” kick out news groups for critical coverage.

No so Barack Obama.

2008-obama-campaign-plane

In 2008, three reporters lost their seats on the Obama campaign plane because they worked for papers  — Washington Times, the New York Post and the Dallas Morning News — that had endorsed McCain.

The Obama campaign said it was about a shortage of seats, but non-news rags like Ebony, Jet, and Glamour got to keep their seats.

Media Hypocrisy

msm-obama-v-trump

Definitely go read Hope ‘n Change today.

“Okay, Trump isn’t really going to be pee-boarding anyone (darn it), but just because a story isn’t true is no reason not to report it.  At least, in 2017 that seems to be the prevailing journalistic philosophy after a number of news outlets, with varying degrees of enthusiasm and hyperbole, published reports that the Russians were ready to blackmail Donald Trump with secret videos …

Media Poke Honey Badger… Get Bit

After eight years of fawning, butt-kissing, and constant tongue baths, the media have resumed their adversarial role to the new president. Following up on scurrilous, unsubstantiated smears the press were drooling over the opportunity to savagely attack The Donald and treat him like meat before ravening hyenas. They found out an unfortunate fact of life. Prod a dangerous creature and you could wind up having a real bad day.

The Media Is Outraged That Trump Criticized CNN. They Must Have Forgotten When Obama Did The Same To Fox News
The media was furious after Donald Trump refused to take a question from a CNN reporter at his first press conference as president-elect Wednesday
The press was incensed, but why did Barack Obama not generate the same outrage when he repeatedly criticized Fox News and questioned its legitimacy over the last eight years?
YOU’VE SEEN THIS:

CNN’s Sciutto Calls Colleague Jim Acosta ‘Brave’ After Trump Press Conference Diss
THESE BOTTOM-FEEDING SCUM THINK IT’S FUNNY TO DISRESPECT REPUBLICANS. IT’S GREAT SPORT.

Sciutto discussed the ordeal soon afterward and jumped to his colleague’s defense, calling Acosta “brave” for what he did.
“If I could just add this: a lot of charges were leveled at CNN, including my brave colleague there, Jim Acosta,” Sciutto said.

Killing CNN
Yesterday, Trump made it crystal-clear to CNN that they have crossed the red line – you know, the one Obama dared the Russians to cross in Syria. They crossed it, and Obama whimpered. Trump is done with red lines. He is building a wall, and CNN is closed out of Trump’s news conferences. He flatly refused to allow them to exercise the pretense of journalism by refusing to permit them to level questions at him during his presser.

NY Magazine: Trump ‘Owns the Press’ at First Press Conference
But observed as spectacle, Trump came away with a resounding victory. That’s because Trump won even before he stepped before the microphone, by making the media the story. Last night, BuzzFeed published a salacious 35-page oppo-research dossier on Trump that alleged Russia possessed sexual and financial dirt on Trump that could be used to blackmail him.
Journalists receive oppo research frequently during political campaigns, but publish only what they can verify. By amending this standard for Trump, BuzzFeed handed him an opening to play the victim. Trump thrives in a world where facts are fungible.
“We are now fully immersed in the anonymous, the unverified, and the unverifiable. And he hasn’t even taken office. Trumpism sure is fast.”

IN A CHANGE OF PROTOCOL I’M RETURNING TO THE OLD FORMAT, POSTING DIFFERENT THINGS IN THE COMMENT SECTION SO THE HAPPY WANDERERS CAN BROWSE AT THEIR LEISURE.

What Clinton Won

The Left never tires of telling us that Hillary won the popular vote.  “The majority wanted Clinton!”  Blah blah blah.

  • She knew that presidential elections are decided by the electoral vote the whole time she was campaigning.  She LOST the electoral vote.  Period.
  • Then she lost when the recount effort failed, again when the corrupt electors effort failed, and again when the make Congress debate every vote effort failed.

She also lost in all the swing states, which means her much-touted popular vote win occurred ONLY in states that were already blue.

2016-prez-wins-by-county

That’s a lot of losing for someone who was allegedly the more popular candidate.

2016-counties-won

She did win 2.9 million more votes than Trump.

hillary-won-pop-vote

But let’s look at that number more closely.

  • She won California by 4.3 million votes.  Deep blue Los Angeles has a population of approximately ten million and 4.3 isn’t even half of that.
  • She won New York by 1.7 million votes.  Deep Blue New York City has a population of 8.4 million.  1.7 is about 20% of that.
  • When you add California’s 4.3 million to New York’s 1.7, you get 6 million.  But Hillary won the overall popular vote by only 2.9 million, which is a little less than half.

So, again, I say … Hillary won the popular vote.  Blah, blah, blah.

More Tweets Re: Streep’s Speech

I think I’m going to donate my only Streep DVD to the library book sale.  I don’t care to watch her any more.

2017_01-09-kellyanne-re-streep

Conservative actors Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn were underwhelmed by Streep’s speech. There’s a very brief video embedded here:

https://twitter.com/AndrewAutio/status/818333236883492866/video/1

I also just read Meghan McCain’s tweet about how Streep’s attitude is why Trump won and if Hollywood doesn’t wake up about this, they’re going to get him re-elected.

The responses from other tweeters demonstrate that the Left is not likely to wake up any time soon.  Lots of bleating about how Hillary won the majority.  Blah blah blah.

Who CARES?!  She knew the election was decided by electoral votes.

1. She lost on election day.

2. She lost again when the recount effort failed.

3. She lost again when the effort to pressure electoral voters failed.

4. And she just lost again when not a single Democrat Senator stepped up to help the whiners in the House hold up Trump’s confirmation.

Fiat Chrysler announces $1 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing, 2,000 new jobs

The Warren plant will make the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer large SUVs. A plant in Toledo, Ohio also will get new equipment to make a new Jeep pickup.  The move by Fiat Chrysler follows a similar recent announcement made by a competing auto brand.

U.S. says Navy ship fired warning shots at Iranian vessels

The incident, which occurred Sunday and was first reported by Reuters, comes as U.S. President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office on Jan. 20. In September, Trump vowed that any Iranian vessels that harass the U.S. Navy in the Gulf would be “shot out of the water.”

THE RAGHEADS WILL SOON LEARN TRUMP IS NOT THE PUSHOVER THAT OBAMA WAS

The Navy destroyer fired warning flares and a U.S. Navy helicopter also dropped a smoke float before the warning shots were fired.  The Iranian vessels came within 900 yards (800 meters) of the Mahan, which was escorting two other U.S. military ships, they said.

Hillary Clinton Receives Ovation at ‘The Color Purple’

Mrs. Clinton, accompanied by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and their daughter, Chelsea, received several ovations from the sold-out audience as she arrived, and then another round of applause when she was acknowledged by the cast after the show.

[Did she get a booboo sticker too?  Cuz, you know, she lost the election, then she lost the recount, then she lost the electoral vote, then she lost the Congressional confirmation of the electoral vote.]

Farewell to a Decade of Media Drooling Over Barack Obama

From the moment then-state senator Barack Obama showed up on the national stage to address the Democratic convention in 2004, the news media were in love.

“Obama is a rock star,” NBC’s Andrea Mitchell exclaimed during MSNBC’s live convention coverage back on July 27, 2004.

When Obama ran for President four years later, news reporters led the cheers.

“It’s almost hard to remain objective because it’s infectious, the energy, I think.”

As a candidate, the Associated Press celebrated Obama as “something special,” while as President-elect, the Washington Post drooled over his “chiseled pectorals,” on display during a vacation in Hawaii.

“He transcends the racial divide so effortlessly that it seems reasonable to expect that he can bridge all the other divisions — and answer all the impossible questions — plaguing American public life.”

[CtH: And, eight years later, 14½ million more Americans are out of work than when Mr. Hope and Change took office, 25 million Americans are still without health insurance, domestic violence is rampant, we’ve endured a record number of terrorist attacks and entered a record number of wars, and the racial and political divides are worse than ever.  Answering questions plaguing American public life?  More like being the plague on American public life!]

“On the bus ride along the snowy road to Lebanon, New Hampshire, I showed him this week’s Newsweek, hot off the presses. [to Obama] How does this feel, of all the honors that have come your way, all the publicity?…Who does it make you think of? Is there, is there a loved one?”

— NBC’s Brian Williams on the January 7, 2008 Nightly News.

Greta Van Susteren Borrows a Familiar Phrase to Describe Her New Show on MSNBC

Van Susteren told her longtime pal and new colleague Rachel Maddow last week that she hopes to bring in many of her former viewers over from Fox, and the lines drawn between Fox News and MSNBC didn’t end there.

[CtH: Fat chance, Greta. If anything would convince me that she’s an idiot, it’s that she left the cable news leader Fox for the cable news joke MSNBC.]

Van Susteren revealed that on her first episode she’ll be sitting down with Valerie Jarrett and Reince Priebus. “And, to steal a phrase you may have heard before, I consider it fair and balanced.”

SHE’S GOING TO REALIZE SHE’S DESCENDED FROM THE PENTHOUSE TO THE OUTHOUSE.
