Some things just upset me too much UPDATE

I received the following from someone who really knows about this stuff. It’s important, so I am passing it on without any comments of my own.

The biggest problem with the word Jihad, is what the fanatic Muslims have done with it. Jihad (or holy war) is a very important part of the Muslim faith, just as Reconciliation is to us Catholics.

Jihad is the struggle to purify yourself. Most Muslim theologians will tell you that this should be an inner struggle, to make yourself pure for God, but Fanatics have distorted this teaching to mean, Kill everything and everyone who is not a crazy fanatic.

I wish that the west would not use this word to identify as the fanatics, it only helps to justify their quest for so-called Jihad.  It frustrates me that we use their words, because we then identify that word with something bad instead of something that is actually in true sense of the word, a very good and holy thing.

I absolutely support Israel, and I understand what the ad meant to say, but they should have stuck to terrorism, that’s a good word to define the Muslim fanatics and how they have distorted God’s teachings into something sick and disgusting.

Some things just upset me too much

There are issues, important issues, that upset me so much, I can barely bring myself to even read the news, much less study, digest, ponder enough to write and/or graphic them.

This is one of those. The article covers the points and provides links and video.

The only two coherent thoughts in my hair-on-fire head are, one, the gall of a spray-painting vandal comparing her defacement of the ad with the long, hard slog the makers of the ads went through to post it and, two, the ad says to oppose JIHAD, not Islam or Muslims in general.

Well,Bozo did his ‘eye candy’ thing on The Spew today,then went to the UN to bow to his superiors from all the tinpot nations of the world.If you haven’t noticed,I try not to post too much of Dear Reader because its difficult to tolerate,even for a trained professional like me and I care  too much to put you through it.The header for this video thread came to me in an epiphany while I was doing my daily Durbin.I think I should get an increase in my already-obscene salary.Maybe I should go on strike.Hey,it worked for the teachers union and the Chicago symphony orchestra.

Left vs Right — It really is all about God

Some time ago, I was pondering the odd breakdown of highly polarized Left and Right issues.

E.g., the Left is very big on outlawing capital punishment and allowing (encouraging) sex without shame or consequences, anytime, anywhere and with whoever or whatever partner(s) you choose, yet the Left is also very active in support of the hard-line Muslim Sharia movement that openly practices capital punishment for adultery and homosexuality.

Meanwhile, the Right is very big on keeping the government out of our personal lives, yet is also very active in getting abortion outlawed and keeping marriage between one man and one woman.

I could cite more examples, but you get the picture. And you know what they say … an apparent double standard is a sign of a single underlying agenda. I found the underlying single agenda when I compared the polarized issues with Scripture.

Today, I am passing on an article by the highest-ranking Soviet-bloc official ever to defect to the West. He lays out evidence that the Left’s support for both Atheistic Communism and Muslim Extremism is not a coincidence.

Excerpt to whet your appetite:

In 1972, I had a breakfast with then-KGB chairman Yury Andropov in Moscow. The Kremlin, he told me, had decided to transform Arab anti-Semitism into an anti-American doctrine for the whole Muslim world. The idea was to portray the United States as a war-mongering, Zionist country financed by Jewish money and run by a rapacious “Council of the Elders of Zion” (the KGB’s derisive epithet for the U.S. Congress) intent on transforming the rest of the world into a Jewish fiefdom. Andropov made the point that one billion adversaries could cause far greater damage than could a mere 150 million. Even Muhammad, he said, had not limited his religion to Arab countries.

The KGB boss described the Muslim world as a waiting petri dish, in which we could nurture a strain of hate-America, grown from the bacterium of Marxist-Leninist thought. Islamic anti-Semitism ran deep, he said. The Muslims had a taste for nationalism, jingoism and victimology, and their illiterate, oppressed mobs could easily be whipped up to a fever pitch. We had only to keep repeating, over and over, that the United States was a war-mongering, Zionist country anxious to take over the whole world.

The KGB community threw millions of dollars and thousands of people into that gigantic project.

At 8:45 AM, the President and the First Lady observed a moment of silence to mark the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, then they went to the Pentagon Memorial 9/11 ceremony. In the afternoon, the President visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. At 5:00 PM, the President and the Vice President met with Secretary of Defense.

Meanwhile …

Armed Muslim extremists attacked and burned our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, murdering our Ambassador and three security guards. Our State Department responded with apologies to the attackers for whatever we did that made them so mad at us. The Libyan government and citizenry apologized to the United States for the attack. Romney condemned the attack and the State Department’s apologies. The Obama campaign condemned Romney. Obama said nothing.

The White House let us know that Obama will be Much Too Busy to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister when Netanyahu visits the U.S. later this month, but that Barack will be squeezing an appearance on David Letterman into his “busy” schedule.

Last month, Obama arranged a meeting with Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi for later this month. Morsi is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood whose motto is, “Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.” Its most famous slogan, used worldwide, is “Islam is the solution.”

Then, he and the First Lady welcomed the 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams to the White House.

In the afternoon, Obama went to attend the Transfer of Remains Ceremony to the United States of the remains of the four Americans killed this week in Benghazi, Libya.

In the evening, he went a campaign event.

I can’t say I’m pissed off today.I’m way,way beyond that.I will go into some detail in the links,but here’s the gist of it.

Owing to the significance of 9/11,both campaigns planned to pull down their ads for the day.One side kept its word.I’ll let you guess which side did not.Some goofball made a film mocking Muhammed the pedophile and the feral rats in Libya and Egypt used it as an excuse to attack the Egyptian embassy and burn the American flag.The embassy apologized for insulting Islam and the Obama Regime disavowed the apology!This morning J.Christopher Stevens,the US ambassador to Libya and three others were attempting to move to safety when a murderous savage fired a rocket into their car,killing all four.Predictably,our fearless leader issued a statement condemning the attack in the strongest possible terms.I’m sure that made the bastards feel really bad.

Meanwhile,the Prime Minister of Israel formally asked for an audience with the president when he visits next week.Obama,regrettably turned him down citing scheduling conflicts.He’s going on Letterman that night.Can’t let foreign affairs stuff get in the way of his campaigning.The only interview he granted on 9/11 was to a radio rapper nicknamed ‘the pimp with a limp.’ Just to let his peeps know he’s down with the homeboys.The tragedy of it all is it will make not an iota of difference to acolytes blinded by ignorance or ideology.Well,maybe this will push gas prices to $4.50-$5.00/gallon.They would still blame Bush and Big Oil.

The media are scrambling this morning to find ways to deflect criticism from the limp-dicked nincompoop they foisted on the nation four years ago.That will take a Pulitzer-prize effort,but I’m sure they’re up to it.Hell,they’ve been doing it forever.

Petition for Purple Heart

On June 1, 2009, Private William “Andy” Long was killed and Private Quinton Ezeagwula was wounded outside a Little Rock Army recruitment center.

Despite the fact that the shooter said his actions were motivated by his commitment to Muslim jihad, the Obama “Justice” Department decided to classify it as a street crime, which made Andy and Quinton ineligible for Purple Heart medals.

The Obama Defense Department similarly refused to classify the Fort Hood shooting as a terrorist act. The 9/11 Pentagon victims got Purple Hearts, but hey … Dubya was in charge then.

In 2012, Congress attempted to rectify these shameful situations by including Purple Heart citations in the Defense Appropriations Act.

Obama said he’d veto the bill if they didn’t take the medals out.

For the record

NOTE: My family has had numerous contacts with good, peace-loving Muslims. I do not condemn all Muslims any more than I condemn all priests for the sins of the tiny number of pedophiles who have caused so much damage to individuals and to the institution they were sworn to serve.

I think the good people who practice Islam are in a tough place and I pray God will grant them the graces they need to combat the extremists who violate the rights of others to live and worship freely.
