Media March Coverage

Matt Walsh writes:

If somehow you need a reminder as to how scummy and vile our news media actually is, all you have to do is look at how they treat the March For Life.

The March For Life is the largest annual human rights demonstration in the history of the world. It attracts hundreds of thousands of people in the dead of winter every year. Every. Single. Year. And they are marching right through the heart of DC, literally where the media lives, speaking out about one of the most divisive and contentious issues of our time. To call that “newsworthy” is a considerable understatement.

But the media goes into almost complete blackout mode. They either ignore it entirely or report on it briefly, as an aside, while blatantly lying about the number of people in attendance. The media is so terrified of the March For Life, and harbors such utter disdain for the point of view it represents, that they cannot even bring themselves to refer to it by its name. As you can see in the example below, they will only call it “the anti-abortion march.”

2017_01-march-coverage

This has all been put into even starker contrast in 2017 because it just so happens that the week before there will be a pro-abortion “Women’s March” on Washington. Even though this march will have a significantly smaller turnout, the media has been reporting about it ad naseum. One can only imagine how much it will dominate the coverage on the actual day. And, as you can see, the very same newspapers that refuse to refer to the March For Life by name have no problem calling the pro-abortion march by its official (and misleading) title.

These people are liars and moral cowards. They deserve all of the contempt Trump shows them, and then some. And if you ever begin to doubt that, just turn on your TV on January 27, the day of the March For Life, and notice what they’re saying about the largest political demonstration of the year: nothing.

Absolutely reprehensible.

Definitely go read Hope ‘n Change today.

“Okay, Trump isn’t really going to be pee-boarding anyone (darn it), but just because a story isn’t true is no reason not to report it.  At least, in 2017 that seems to be the prevailing journalistic philosophy after a number of news outlets, with varying degrees of enthusiasm and hyperbole, published reports that the Russians were ready to blackmail Donald Trump with secret videos …

Media Poke Honey Badger… Get Bit

After eight years of fawning, butt-kissing, and constant tongue baths, the media have resumed their adversarial role to the new president. Following up on scurrilous, unsubstantiated smears the press were drooling over the opportunity to savagely attack The Donald and treat him like meat before ravening hyenas. They found out an unfortunate fact of life. Prod a dangerous creature and you could wind up having a real bad day.

The Media Is Outraged That Trump Criticized CNN. They Must Have Forgotten When Obama Did The Same To Fox News
The media was furious after Donald Trump refused to take a question from a CNN reporter at his first press conference as president-elect Wednesday
The press was incensed, but why did Barack Obama not generate the same outrage when he repeatedly criticized Fox News and questioned its legitimacy over the last eight years?
YOU’VE SEEN THIS:

CNN’s Sciutto Calls Colleague Jim Acosta ‘Brave’ After Trump Press Conference Diss
THESE BOTTOM-FEEDING SCUM THINK IT’S FUNNY TO DISRESPECT REPUBLICANS. IT’S GREAT SPORT.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcKNs9eCk90
Sciutto discussed the ordeal soon afterward and jumped to his colleague’s defense, calling Acosta “brave” for what he did.
“If I could just add this: a lot of charges were leveled at CNN, including my brave colleague there, Jim Acosta,” Sciutto said.

Killing CNN
Yesterday, Trump made it crystal-clear to CNN that they have crossed the red line – you know, the one Obama dared the Russians to cross in Syria. They crossed it, and Obama whimpered. Trump is done with red lines. He is building a wall, and CNN is closed out of Trump’s news conferences. He flatly refused to allow them to exercise the pretense of journalism by refusing to permit them to level questions at him during his presser.

NY Magazine: Trump ‘Owns the Press’ at First Press Conference
But observed as spectacle, Trump came away with a resounding victory. That’s because Trump won even before he stepped before the microphone, by making the media the story. Last night, BuzzFeed published a salacious 35-page oppo-research dossier on Trump that alleged Russia possessed sexual and financial dirt on Trump that could be used to blackmail him.
Journalists receive oppo research frequently during political campaigns, but publish only what they can verify. By amending this standard for Trump, BuzzFeed handed him an opening to play the victim. Trump thrives in a world where facts are fungible.
“We are now fully immersed in the anonymous, the unverified, and the unverifiable. And he hasn’t even taken office. Trumpism sure is fast.”

U.S. says Navy ship fired warning shots at Iranian vessels

The incident, which occurred Sunday and was first reported by Reuters, comes as U.S. President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office on Jan. 20. In September, Trump vowed that any Iranian vessels that harass the U.S. Navy in the Gulf would be “shot out of the water.”

THE RAGHEADS WILL SOON LEARN TRUMP IS NOT THE PUSHOVER THAT OBAMA WAS

The Navy destroyer fired warning flares and a U.S. Navy helicopter also dropped a smoke float before the warning shots were fired.  The Iranian vessels came within 900 yards (800 meters) of the Mahan, which was escorting two other U.S. military ships, they said.

Hillary Clinton Receives Ovation at ‘The Color Purple’

Mrs. Clinton, accompanied by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and their daughter, Chelsea, received several ovations from the sold-out audience as she arrived, and then another round of applause when she was acknowledged by the cast after the show.

[Did she get a booboo sticker too?  Cuz, you know, she lost the election, then she lost the recount, then she lost the electoral vote, then she lost the Congressional confirmation of the electoral vote.]

Farewell to a Decade of Media Drooling Over Barack Obama

From the moment then-state senator Barack Obama showed up on the national stage to address the Democratic convention in 2004, the news media were in love.

“Obama is a rock star,” NBC’s Andrea Mitchell exclaimed during MSNBC’s live convention coverage back on July 27, 2004.

When Obama ran for President four years later, news reporters led the cheers.

“It’s almost hard to remain objective because it’s infectious, the energy, I think.”

As a candidate, the Associated Press celebrated Obama as “something special,” while as President-elect, the Washington Post drooled over his “chiseled pectorals,” on display during a vacation in Hawaii.

“He transcends the racial divide so effortlessly that it seems reasonable to expect that he can bridge all the other divisions — and answer all the impossible questions — plaguing American public life.”

[CtH: And, eight years later, 14½ million more Americans are out of work than when Mr. Hope and Change took office, 25 million Americans are still without health insurance, domestic violence is rampant, we’ve endured a record number of terrorist attacks and entered a record number of wars, and the racial and political divides are worse than ever.  Answering questions plaguing American public life?  More like being the plague on American public life!]

“On the bus ride along the snowy road to Lebanon, New Hampshire, I showed him this week’s Newsweek, hot off the presses. [to Obama] How does this feel, of all the honors that have come your way, all the publicity?…Who does it make you think of? Is there, is there a loved one?”

— NBC’s Brian Williams on the January 7, 2008 Nightly News.

Greta Van Susteren Borrows a Familiar Phrase to Describe Her New Show on MSNBC

Van Susteren told her longtime pal and new colleague Rachel Maddow last week that she hopes to bring in many of her former viewers over from Fox, and the lines drawn between Fox News and MSNBC didn’t end there.

[CtH: Fat chance, Greta. If anything would convince me that she’s an idiot, it’s that she left the cable news leader Fox for the cable news joke MSNBC.]

Van Susteren revealed that on her first episode she’ll be sitting down with Valerie Jarrett and Reince Priebus. “And, to steal a phrase you may have heard before, I consider it fair and balanced.”

SHE’S GOING TO REALIZE SHE’S DESCENDED FROM THE PENTHOUSE TO THE OUTHOUSE.

The latest pathetic excuse for Hillary’s defeat

Last week, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes blamed Hillary’s defeat on Twitter.  It seems a study revealed that the top three election controversies on Twitter all involved Clinton.  The graph is hard to read, but from what I can make out, a bunch of the lower ones also involved Clinton.  E.g., Abedin/Weiner, Clinton’s Health, Loretta Lynch.

2016_12-30-msnbc-blames-twitter

WikiLeaks = 33,083,038 tweets

Hayes claimed that the WikiLeaks e-mail dumps “produced no legitimate scandal” which is a flat out lie. The revelations from the leaked e-mails was so damaging that Debbie Wasserman Schultz had to resign as DNC Chair and CNN fired Donna Brazile.  And do let’s recall that Twitter is user driven.  It was VOTERS who were tweeting all this stuff, not the media or the campaign machines.

E-mail scandal = 21,123,778

Hayes claimed the FBI found “no wrongdoing” in Clinton’s sending classified e-mails via an unsecured, private server while she was Secretary of State.  That’s also a flat out lie.  The FBI did not find grounds to prosecute Clinton, but Director James Comey made it perfectly clear that her handling of classified material had been extremely reckless, which was obviously a concern for those deciding if she could be trusted with the more important and more sensitive post of POTUS.

Her “basket of deplorables” smear of Trump’s supporters = 5,989,433

Interestingly, Hayes had nothing to say about this one, maybe because he was another of those Leftist “journos” who didn’t have a problem with Hillary’s Sept. 9, 2016 statement, because he agreed with it.

Hayes said he also agreed with the conclusion reached by the organization that did the study, that Twitter helped Hillary lose, because “the medium moved on too quickly for anything to really stick to Trump.”

NEVER MIND that it moved just as fast for Clinton as it did for Trump.

Psychophant Symphony

OK, it’s sycophant. I know that. It’s called a play on words. Poetic license. I can do that. My post. Get over it.

The media whores have been slobbering over the Magic Negro for more than eight tragically long years. He had no credentials other than his daddy was black. No experience, no ambition other than a chance to impose his twisted vision of a disgraced and degraded nation. They were foursquare behind him and never made a hint of a protest to anything he did.

I was no fan of Donald Trump at the outset, but it retrospect, he’s the only candidate who could have beaten the Clinton machine and the media attack dogs. He was the right man at the right time. He used social media to get around the chattering class and go directly to the people. The press will resume their adversarial role, but it won’t make much difference to someone who earned everything he has by himself and apologizes to no one.

This is how the slobbering media started covering Obama’s reign of terror and it never let up:

Colbert Gives Final Praise of ‘Passionate, Intelligent, and Dignified’ Obama at Kennedy Center Awards

The 39th Annual Kennedy Center Honors show on CBS is yet another awards show you probably don’t watch, but it actually honors people who do have talent. However, if we’re to believe lefty host Stephen Colbert, that talent apparently also includes our lame duck president. Barack Obama has proven to be “passionate, intelligent, and dignified” over the past eight years, Colbert proclaimed as the D.C. audience gave him a standing ovation. Give me a break.

“A keen observer of the public mood, he knew how to cast blame on an unpopular industry that was hardly in a position to fight back,” he proclaimed in the opening paragraph of his rant. “He was a one-person driver of ratings and readership and a serious menace to press freedom,” Stelter smeared.

Barack Obama Wishes Everyone A Happy New Year With A Picture Of . . . Barack Obama

The Worst of MSNBC in 2016
With the hopes of steering another election into the Democratic column, MSNBC leaned far forward in 2016 on behalf of Hillary Clinton and the hopes of an ascendant Democratic Party to carry on the legacy of President Obama (“the most noble man who has ever lived in the White House”).
Those hopes were dashed.
Here’s the worst of Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell and the gang in another year of left-wing lunacy on cable’s most ridiculous news channel.

Media lapdogs resolve to become real journos again

2016_11-23-amanpour

2016_12-31-nyt-real-journo
Tweeters had some excellent snark to offer in response.

  • Media’s back from its sabbatical?  Good to know.
  • So you admit that “real reporting” hasn’t been going on during Obama years.
  • Lap dogs? You were ventriloquist dummies for the Democrat party.
  • What recent developments caused this realization?
  • “Now more than ever” means “now that Obama’s gone.”
  • Refreshing to see you admit that you’ve taken the last 8 years off from real reporting. Baby steps.
  • Should the whole “watch dog” gig not work out, you can be Hillary’s therapy dogs.
  • They should be well rested, since they weren’t doing any real reporting 2008-2016.
  • The people who destroyed journalism with their partisan lies are now worried about the demise of journalism. Still no apology. No remorse.
  • This right here is why people hate you guys.
  • Sorry, not interested in your newfound “morality.”
  • The thing about reputation and respectability – once it’s gone it’s gone.
  • Like you can just magically create credibility after 8 years of non-stop ass kissing?
  • Time to blow 8 yrs of dust off those homelessness and hardships of working poor stories. To the grievance-mobile!
  • Don’t forget the “young soldiers’ lives tragically lost in stupid Republican wars” stories. Those are always a big hit.
  • Translation: Before, we just lied. Now that Hitler is President, we will lie with conviction!

“I shot and killed Donald Trump”

National media yawns.

2016_12-21-man-kills-trump-media-yawns

Rush Limbaugh noted that the case has received no national coverage in the U.S.

“If this were Hillary Clinton, if there were some lunatic out there that had shot a woman and claimed that he was shooting Hillary Clinton, do you think the media all over America would be talking about it? And then condemning any and all supporters of Trump and Trump himself for the incendiary rhetoric that he’s engaged in and has inspired this violence. Because remember when [Rep.] Gabby Giffords got shot out there in Arizona, they tried to blame me and Sarah Palin. … Can you imagine the uproar? Can you imagine the wall-to-wall coverage?”

This murder happened in our back yard on December 8.  We passed the police road block while driving to the grocery store.  The local police did a great job talking the shooter down with no violence.  By the time we came home from the store, Barkley was in custody and the road block was down.

This is from Bill Schumacher’s obituary:

Bill believed that a man only needs God, family and hard work to succeed in this life. He was a roughneck who stood for God and country and whether you agreed with him or not; you always walked away loving the man. Bill was loved by many and will be greatly missed. So often these are filled with pretty words and eloquent descriptions of life but that was not Bill, he was honest, he was raw, he was real, In his honor if the Lord so lays it upon your heart, reach out to the family or donate to a local charity in his name, because Bill said it best “ Do I look like the kinda guy who wants flowers at his funeral?”
