The blogs are ragging on the USDA “wasting” $2 million on My Plate, but I personally think it’s worth it. I hated the Four Food Groups and was delighted when they threw it out. (YOU try raising dairy-allergic kids who are being forced to memorize and regurgitate the “fact” that 25% of their diet should be something they’re not allowed to have.) The Food Pyramid was a nice try, but it was too confusing. This is much better (even if our Smarter Than Gawd president doesn’t seem to get how to use it).

Everyone knew they were inexperienced. The people who voted for them didn’t think it mattered. The rest of us hoped they would grow into the job.

But they’ve been in the White House for two years and four months and were on national and international stages for at least two years before that.

I think it is now safe to say they aren’t going to grow into anything.

Either they’re not capable or they’re unwilling. Whatever the problem, we need them gone. Please.

I hope the Brits know how bad we feel

The Obamas’ behavior makes me cringe.

At a time when many Americans can barely afford Burger King and a movie, Obama boasts of spending a billion dollars on his re-election campaign.

Questioned at a recent appearance about spiraling fuel costs, Obama said, “Get used to it.”

It’s so offensive when we hear Obama say, in order “to restore fiscal responsibility, we all need to share in the sacrifice.”

The American people have been sacrificing.

It’s the Obamas who behave as if they were sharecroppers who hit the Powerball and are now determined to spend away their feelings of inadequacy at the taxpayers’ expense.
