CLICK https://twitter.com/MattAttack009_/status/1695123026939953661 [4:44] to hear Matt Kim ask some really excellent questions about the legitimacy of this guy. I’ll confess that I thought he sounded really good the one time I listened to him and, like Barack Obama, he is “articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”
Also like Obama, he seemingly came out of nowhere to suddenly become one of the top three contenders for a presidential nomination. Also like Obama, and even sniffier than all of the above, the Left Stream Media is praising him … despite him saying stuff that would get the rest of us canceled.
Prior to his sudden and meteoric interest in politics, he was CEO of Roivant Sciences, which he founded in 2014. Roivant is a holding company whose only purpose appears to be losing money via the buying, selling, and merging of companies specializing in health care technologies and therapeutics. Three of its partnerships are with Pfizer.
Then, inexplicably, it’s stock price shot up from $3/share to $8/share just as Ramaswamy was about to sell off a bunch and announce his candidacy. Wikipedia says his current net worth is more than $950 million. So, who did he sell his soul to get rich and famous? Black Rock … State Street … Vanguard … George Soros … World Economic Forum … these are not people we want owning a puppet in the Oval Office!
Edward Teach at Not the Bee says, “the ruling elite is so Machiavellian and obsessed with power, that if they sensed a large-scale revolt against the American political establishment, they absolutely would put forth an “anti-establishment” puppet to get elected, so they could still rule through him or her. Again, I am not saying this is what’s happening with Vivek. I AM saying keep your eyes open. The ruling establishment is familiar with neither rules nor morals.”
ABORTION: Abortion is going to be high on the list of topics for the presidential election. The Biden campaign has launched a $25 million “we will restore Roe” ad campaign that will run for 16 weeks in purple toss-up states Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
CANADA: Pastor James Coates of GraceLife Church was arrested and held in prison for refusing to close his church during the plandemic. Alberta authorities sent hundreds of police officers to close it for him, going so far as to build a fence around the property! So the church did what the church had to do in its first centuries … it went underground.
On July 31, an Alberta court ruled that public health orders issued by the province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) during the pandemic were invalid because they were enacted outside the powers of the Public Health Act, and were made by cabinet, not the top medical officer. IOW, Pastor Coates was right all along. The orders were illegal. He and his church are about to be formally acquitted of all charges.
COVID-19: Over the last week, the average number of confirmed ‘rona hospital admissions was up 21% over the previous week, leading to some calls to restore mask mandates. However, the past week’s average was 73% lower than the average for last January, suggesting the hype is like the “heat dome” garbage … more about lefties grabbing power through fear than about public health or common sense.
Meanwhile, Texas Governor Abbott and Florida Surgeon General Lapado have assured their citizens that there will be NO mask mandates.
NEW AGE: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbDE_BEHREU [1:35:47] to hear Michael Knowles interview Jenn Nizza, a now-Christian who once made her living as a genuine psychic medium. She reveals a lot about the New Age, what’s real, what’s a con, and how dangerous it all is. “The Trinity of the New Age is Me, Myself, and I.”
POWERLIFTING: When I was writing yesterday’s blog, I got curious how “Anne” Andres had fared against male competitors. The scores for the most recent competition that she allegedly won in the female division are not posted yet, but the previous ones from February are. I discovered I had no idea how to read them, but apparently you can learn anything on the internet. So if you’re interested, here is the 411.
Lifters compete within a category determined by their gender (ha ha), age, and weight. There are two genders (ha ha); seven age classes; seven (female+) and eight (male) weight classes; and a whole lot of weight subclasses. Lifters get three tries each at the three types of lift – i.e., squat, bench press, deadlift. A minus red number means they failed that lift. This doesn’t count against them so long as they completed one of the three in each type.
TOTAL: The sum of the heaviest weight they lifted in each of the three categories; the highest total wins the category. As you can see from the totals in the graphic above, “she” is a total loser when compared to other lifters of the same age and body weight.
POINTS are handicapped based on age and body weight to give juniors and women a chance to win an overall with a highest point total. “Anne” only wins on points, because her pathetic lifts were handicapped as if he were a real she.
“L” has been liberated from a very ugly case of possession. But the demons still harass her from the outside. Demons are sore losers and hate to let go of even one soul they claimed. Perhaps it reminds them of their ultimate defeat, which is soon upon them.
Her father and L saved up some money to buy her a gold chain with a medal of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This image bears special importance for her since it was the Blessed Virgin, under her title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who was so instrumental in her liberation. In this miraculous image, Our Lady is shown crushing the serpent’s head, which she certainly did in L’s liberation. Moreover, the name “Guadalupe” is from an Aztec phrase that means: “She will crush the serpent of stone.”
Ever since her liberation, the father is still getting demonic texts taunting him and saying, “We want her back.” He bought the medal, had it blessed, and planned to give to her the following day. Then the demons texted him, “You’re not putting that chain on my “L” tomorrow. You won’t dare!” The next day, there were more threats: “You won’t give it to her today. [Expletive deleted] She won’t make it alive to have you put that on her throat. She belongs to me.”
The father and daughter went to Mass together. He placed the medal around her neck. As soon as they got into the car, she yelled, “Ouch!” A two-inch cut instantly and inexplicably appeared on her right leg. Then a threatening text came across his phone: “One day you [expletive deleted]. F…. you!“
It is interesting and important to note that, since she started wearing the Guadalupe medal around her neck, the amount of demonic harassment they have received has dramatically reduced. It has had a powerful effect!
There are several important takeaways from this incident. Some of which strike me are:
+Demons threaten all sorts of direct consequences but they are on a short leash by God. They could only give her a small cut, although they threatened to kill her.
+Demons can’t stop you from doing holy things, although they will try.
+Demons curse constantly and use foul language including the “f” word. Obviously, we do not want to be like them and should not do so.
+Most importantly, this incident reminds us of the importance of using holy sacramentals, in this case, wearing a blessed medal. Most commonly people wear miraculous medals, brown scapulars, crucifixes, Benedictine medals, and many others.
A common practice among exorcists is: “If the demons hate it, do more of it!“
To those reading: if you don’t wear one, why don’t you purchase a holy medal of your choosing, have it blessed, and wear it? CLICK https://www.catholiccompany.com/ or check your city directory for a Catholic shop.
*I have worn a miraculous medal since childhood. I was privileged to visit the Daughters of Charity chapel in Paris where Sr. Catherine Laboure received the design for the medal directly from the Blessed Virgin.
**People typically wear medals that mean the most to them and have some personal significance. L wears the medal of Our Lady of Guadalupe since she was so instrumental in liberating L under this title.
2024: Apparently, DeSantis and Ramaswamy did the best during the first GOP 2024 primary debate and their war chests each saw a $1 million boost in the 24 hours following.
CLIMATE HOAX: Fourteen major American cities – Austin, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Seattle – are part of a global climate group dedicated to making our lives worse. Their 2030 targets include:
0 meat consumption
0 dairy consumption
0 private vehicles
3 new clothing items per person per year
I am about as far from being a clothes horse as you can get without joining a convent, but even I need more than 3 new clothing items per year.
DEI WORKSHOP: Above is one of the slides shown at a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Decolonization (DEID) workshop held recently at Western University. This indoctrination is required for all housing staff (e.g., residence dons, front desk staff, student advisors). CLICK the link to see three more.
EXORCIST: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlRbT5MfFSw [2:55] to see a small clip from a long interview I have posted in the past. In this one, Father Martins explains why even the most extraordinary demonstrations of knowledge and power by demons eventually becomes boring.
GERMANY: In June, one of the day care centers proposing a sexual exploration room sent an email to parents explaining the ten rules of the room, which made it clear that nudity, mixed sex examinations, physical and sexual games were all permitted, provided “No child sticks anything into another child’s body openings (bottom, vulva, mouth, nose, ear) or licks another child’s body.”
The backlash was so intense that the plan was scrubbed.
HAWAII: When CBS reporter and anchor Jordan Segundo went looking for footage of the devastation in Lahaina, he found a statue of Our Lady that was perfectly intact. The homes behind it were burned to the ground; the homes in front of it are still standing. CLICK https://www.instagram.com/p/CwH5JAzLC8n/?img_index=1 to see him show a 360° shot of the scene.
As of late Thursday night, more than 1,700 previously unaccounted for people have been deemed safe and well. One hundred fourteen are confirmed dead, while 388 people were still missing on the island of Maui.
ISRAEL: Some years ago, I reported on how Dr. Solowey had successful germinated the seed of the extinct Judean date palm tree that carbon dating showed was grown in 30 AD … the year Jesus began his public ministry. They’ve currently got five trees that are mature enough to bear fruit, which is absolutely delicious. CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd75wjdTMnc [27:42] to see a lengthy report if you’re really interested.
MIRACLE: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkG0WYpyrvc [1:58] to hear Fr. Chris report that his mom has been healed liver failure, traumatic brain injury, and advanced Alzheimer’s disease. She says hi at the end and is clearly lucid.
PAPER STRAWS: Plastic straws have been banned in many places in favor of the allegedly more “eco-friendly” paper straws. A recent European study analyzed straws from shops and fast-food restaurants and found 18 out of 20 brands contained Poly- and Perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Although the concentration in a single straw is low, the chemicals, which could accumulate in the body over many years, have been associated with a number of health problems, including lower response to vaccines, lower birth weight, thyroid disease, increased cholesterol levels, liver damage, kidney cancer and testicular cancer.
WOMEN’S SPORTS: The International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) has changed some of its policies about trans athletes. Prior to this, there were no requirements beyond claiming to identify as female on the day of the competition. From now on, trannies must provide a valid passport bearing a female gender and undergo testosterone level testing. Any male who competes as a female is banned from male competition for a minimum of four years. Any trannie who can’t meet those requirements can compete in the new “open division.” It’s not perfect, since trans males still have biological advantages, even if they are on estrogen. But it’s a big improvement.
GRAMMY NOTES: I thought y’all might be interested in seeing Buzz’s speech device. There are different pages he can scroll through by topic. This is part of the “Personal Care” page. When he pushes a square, the device will say that word for him. There is room on each screen for 76 word squares, which are color coded. E.g., pronouns are yellow, verbs are green. I moved the orange ones to the top so you could more easily see how it works. Dulcamara is a homeopath that is useful for hay fever and headache. As you can see, Buzz has word buttons programmed not just for homeopaths and essential oils, but also for antihistamines and OTC pain meds. I think it’s a real testament to the effectiveness of these alternatives that he usually asks for them rather than for the drugs.
CLICK https://twitter.com/3sidedstory/status/1695095444354052393 [:56] to see CNN report with dismay that Trump supporters are photoshopping themselves into Fulton County mugshots and posting them on social media. “His base is sticking with him more than they ever have.“
“It’s pathetic.” What’s pathetic is that y’all are so sure you understand us and so wrong about what makes us tick that you can’t begin to accurately predict how we’ll react to anything.
“The left’s overzealous political prosecutions have backfired and turned Donald Trump into a force of nature. Now, Trump represents someone persecuted by the man and he represents the forgotten man. Democrats thought the mugshot was going to be the end for Trump, but it may be the start of a new beginning.” – Jesse Waters
The day after Trump rejoined Twitter: “Biden has 37m followers. Trump (first hour) has 85m. 81m votes my ass.” – Kathy Richards
BORDER: US officials have welded open 114 massive gates along the Arizona border to allow endangered antelope to migrate and monsoon water to flow freely. It’s also allowing an average of 1,400 migrants to migrate freely into the country every day.
GEORGIA: Just days after receiving an inquiry regarding two pornographic books in their school libraries, the Cobb County school district thanked the writer and sent an email to parents and staff notifying them that the books had been removed. A check of the libraries showed they have been removed.
INDIA: India just landed a lunar rover near the south pole of the moon. It is only the third nation to achieve this and the people of India are very proud, as they should be.
Joan Meyer co-owned the Marion County Record with her son Eric. On the basis of a flimsily prepared warrant that was likely in violation of federal law, the city’s entire five-officer police force, plus two sheriff’s deputies, raided the newspaper’s office, as well as the homes of both Eric and Joan.
The raid was apparently in response to a claim that the weekly paper had illegally obtained DUI information about a local business owner. The judge who signed off on the warrant has two DUIs.
The county’s top prosecutor has since withdrawn the search warrants and asked authorities to return everything they took. The paper is considering whether or not to sue.
LIFE: Jen Psaki’s tweet and a whole host of “what she said” tweets were in response to a statement Ron DeSantis made during the first GOP primary debate. “What the Democrats are trying to do on this issue is wrong, to allow abortion all the way up to the moment of birth.”
Not The Bee staff wrote, “This should be Republicans’ number one talking point on the issue leading up to 2024. They must corner Democrats on this issue and make them speak with precise terms.Try the question out on your Democrat friends, too. Ask them if they support abortion up until birth, and if not, when is their cutoff. Oh, and why then?”
MARYLAND: A District Court judge denied Montgomery County Public School parents the right to opt their pre-K through fifth grade children out of pro-LGBTQ lessons. The judge wrote that the fact that “teachers will occasionally read one of the handful of books, lead discussions and ask questions about the characters, and respond to questions and comments in ways that encourage tolerance for different views and lifestyles … is not indoctrination” and therefore does not violate parents’ rights. I guess that depends on how you feel about encouraging tolerance for sin.
TRUMP: Former President Donald Trump surrendered himself to authorities at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia, on Aug. 24, and was released on a $200,000 bond after being booked. He followed up by tweeting the mug shot with a defiant message (above).
TUCKER: The Legacy Media breathlessly reported that the FOX News Republican Primary Debate “drew a staggering 12.8 million total viewers,” making it the “most-watched non-sporting event cable telecast of the year.”
As we have heard before, Tucker Carlson tweeted his 45 minute interview with Donald Trump at the same time as the FOX debate. CLICK https://twitter.com/atensnut/status/1694370491253862469 [1:56] to hear a CNN political commentator assure lefties that, “Trump’s counter programming is horrible. Nobody will be watching the Tucker/Trump interview.”
In the first 4 hours, it has 100 million views. Not The Bee notes, “Even if a third of those views are from spam/bot accounts or people who only tuned in for a quick minute, that is a number that is wild beyond belief.”
As I write this at 11:43 am on August 25, it’s at 254.7 million views. The previous record holder for most watched interview of all time was Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Michael Jackson in 1993, which reached 62.3 million views.
VIRGINIA: A Bedford County high school revoked this student’s parking pass when he refused to remove the American flags from his truck. His parents decided it was time to home school.
2024: At Fox News’ GOP Presidential Primary Debate, five of the eight candidates indicated they would vote for Trump if he were to be convicted – i.e., Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Doug Burgum, Tim Scott, and Ron DeSantis. The three who did not were Chris Christie, Asa Hutchinson, and Mike Pence.
COVID-19: The CDC says the new BA.2.86 variant is different enough from previous variants that it may cause breakthrough infections in the vaccinated and the naturally immune. The variant, which has been found in Israel, the UK, South Africa, and Denmark, has only just reached the United States and that it is not responsible for the recently slight increase in hospitalizations here.
FLEEING: Over the past several years, banks and big tech firms have fled high-tax, high-regulation Democrat states. According to a new analysis, California and New York have nearly $1 trillion apiece in managed assets, including thousands of high-paying jobs. In addition to sapping the tax revenue Dems rely on, the exodus has created a glut of empty commercial properties.
SOUTH CAROLINA: The state’s Supreme Court has upheld the Fetal Heartbeat and Protection from Abortion Act, which bans abortions after six weeks of pregnancy. In a 4-1 decision, the court said South Carolina’s constitutional protection against “unreasonable invasions of privacy” does not include abortion and that the state law was “within the zone of reasonable policy decisions rationally related to the State’s interest in protecting the unborn.”
TRUMP: While the other GOP presidential wannabes debated on Fox News, Tucker Carlson streamed his recent interview with Donald Trump, who blasted the indictments against him, calling them “ridiculous,” “nonsense” and “[expletive],” adding that “maybe there’ll be more.”
2A: Excerpts from an awesome gun rights Twitter thread – “Can we take a minute to appreciate how many women have protected themselves and others with firearms in the last two or so weeks?”
Aug. 12, Houston – Police say that an argument between a husband and wife turned into physical violence and the husband threatened the wife with a gun. She drew her own gun and shot him in self-defense, wounding him.
Aug. 11, Jackson (MS) – When three teens tried to carjack a woman’s husband and son at gunpoint right outside of their home, the woman armed herself and came to her loved ones’ defense, opening fire on the carjackers and killing one of them.
Aug. 11, Tucson (AZ) – A woman living by herself fatally shot a would-be intruder who kept trying to break into her home despite knowing she was armed.
Aug. 11, Pottstown (PA) – A woman shot and wounded the father of her child after he assaulted her, leaving various injuries. He not only had an active restraining order against him, but also had active warrants for violating that restraining order.
Aug. 10, Farmington (MO) – A man who’d served 8 years in prison for domestic violence threatened to kill his wife during an “alcohol-fueled rage” and went to get a gun. She apparently got to her gun first. He’s dead. She isn’t.
Aug. 8, Texarkana (TX) – A woman’s ex-boyfriend stalked her outside of her apartment and assaulted her with electric hair clippers in an attempt to forcibly shave her head. She was able to grab her gun from her car and shoot him, injuring him.
Aug. 7, Salem (IN) – A woman fatally shot her daughter’s ex-boyfriend after he drove his car into the family’s front lawn, assaulted the woman’s husband, forced him to the ground and held a gun to his head. The ex-boyfriend was “well-known” to police.
Aug. 4, Pottsville (PA) – When a woman tried to leave her home during an argument with her husband, the husband tried to forcibly restrain her, including by tackling her to floor and injuring her. He only relented after she drew a gun on him.
Aug. 4, Clovis (NM) – A woman fatally shot her ex-boyfriend after he broke into her home. She had already begun the process of obtaining a restraining order against him, and he had previously been arrested for criminal trespass at the home.
Aug. 2, Chicago – An off-duty Cook County Sheriff’s deputy fired a shot at would-be intruder who was trying to break into her home, causing him to flee.
Aug. 2, Raleigh (NC) – A woman fatally shot a man in self-defense during a road rage incident in which he tried to force his way into her car.
July 30, Houston (TX) – A woman shot and wounded her romantic partner after he cornered her in her closet and threatened her with a gun. She was packing her clothes to leave after an argument.
July 29, Chattanooga (TN) – After three armed intruders broke into the home she shared with her boyfriend, a woman grabbed her own gun and opened fire on their assailants, hitting one of the three suspects and sending the others fleeing.
AUSTRALIA: Binary truth advocate, Kirralie Smith, has four court appearances coming up, all for “misgendering” men who compete in female sports.
Former Australian Christian Lobby managing director, Lyle Shelton, has recently come out of a 3-year long court battle, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. His crime was being concerned about Drag Queen story time for children.
Moira Deeming has been expelled from the Liberal Party for attending an ‘anti-trans’ rally.
BORDER: The FAUX administration is quietly auctioning off millions of dollars’ worth of unused parts from former President Trump’s border wall for a fraction of what taxpayers spent on them. Cuz, heaven forbid, we should use them to build the wall.
CATHOLIC: Parents living in the Diocese of Worcester, Massachusetts, will have a woke-free school option this coming fall. The diocese has instituted a no trans, no gay policy that requires student behaviors and school records to align with their biological sex. I’m curious to see how this affects enrollment. My guess is that it will go up.
CLIMATE HOAX: From the comments on this idiotic news story – “We do this every year. It’s called summer.”
“I’m in the purple zone. Just walked the dogs. Its 85 and cloudy IN AUGUST in SUMMERTIME. I think we are going to make it through the day but I cant really be sure, Heat Dome and all that. Gonna lower my ac from 68 to 66 just to be sure.”
“I have been working outdoors for 45 years and this past summer has been mild. The hottest day recorded in history in my state, TN, was 113 F in 1936. It has averaged in the high 80’s this year. Seems like global cooling to me. Maybe the 70’s predictions were correct 🙂”
YO YO WORLD CHAMPION: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej8HwAJltCw [3:48] to see a mesmerizing and kinda scary good performance. But wait … that’s just the 1A division champ.
And finally, because I can’t seem to resist diving down random rabbit holes just cuz so many things are interesting, CLICK https://www.expensive-world.com/most-expensive-yoyo/ to see the most expensive competition yoyo in the world at $550. That may sound like a ridiculous amount, but considering what Dearest and I have spent on our various hobbies over the years … I gotta say, competitive yoyo seems to be remarkably economical!
GRAMMY NOTES: I just went to Mass online and had the usual critical thoughts about the celebrant (this one cuz he says the prayers SO FAST). I don’t have any Eucharist today, so while Father was distributing, I closed my eyes and imagined myself in God’s lap, apologized for my sinful thoughts. He was so sweet, clearly forgiving me. Then I asked if He’d fix my stupid hypercritical brain and … ::crickets:: For a moment, I was so sad … but then, the music lady began singing “On Eagle’s Wings” and the line, “Make you to shine like the sun” hit me as His answer. Glory and Blessings!!!!!!! ::sigh:: So happy!!!!
BIDEN CRIME FAMILY: CLICK https://rumble.com/v3a04fe-james-comer-shares-latest-damning-updates-in-biden-crime-family-investigati.html [9:34] to see House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer talk about the latest revelations. “It is obvious that Joe Biden abused his power as vice president for the sole purpose of protecting his son who was receiving millions and millions of dollars from this corrupt Ukrainian energy company and this email ties Joe Biden and Hunter Biden into this corruption scheme without a shadow of a doubt,” Comer added.
CATHOLIC: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdFb2Rzg2qI [7:42] to hear Fr. Columba share “Miraculous Stories about Holy Water & Salt.” In the photo above, a priest is making a big batch of holy water in a special stainless steel tank. It’s got a spout on the bottom for dispensing it. It’s easy for Catholics to fill up their home bottles whenever they want. For salt, we just buy salt and ask our priest to bless it, but I have also seen it for sale in Catholic stores and even at Amazon.
I bless myself at least twice a day with holy water and splash my bed at night while saying the St. Michael Prayer. As for holy salt, we used to just use it to bless the house and such, but then I heard one of the exorcists say, “Eat it!” So we do.
I don’t have any pertinent miracle stories, but I remember one I heard. A priest was on a plane with a really obnoxious seat mate. When the fellow went to use the toilet, the priest sprinkled blessed salt on his seat and prayed to bind any demons. As soon as the guy came back and sat down, he jumped up and demanded the flight attendant move him to a different seat. 🙂
FINLAND: This nation purports to respect the religious rights of its citizens. So why is it persecuting two Christians for believing in the Bible? The story at the link is appalling, but I’m guessing this kind of thing will become more and more common until all of us are finally driven underground … either through martyrdom or to hide. I really hope and pray the Rapture is a real thing and will happen before the worst comes.
GENDER: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abTMFKoytMo [5:21] to hear a psychiatrist with 45 years experience totally debunk the Left’s “gender affirming care” position. Dr. Grossman is board certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. Her medical practice focuses on gender-distressed young people and their parents. She believes that every child is born in the right body. She has testified in Congress and lectured at the British House of Lords and the United Nations.
HAWAII: Remember all the fuss Dems made about President Bush finishing up reading The Pet Goat to kindergartners before leaving for his first briefing on 9/11? Never mind that disappointing and/or scaring little children to leave for a briefing five minutes sooner would have zero impact on any response.
And remember the stupid brouhaha they made about how he only flew over the Hurricane Katrina devastation? Never mind that it would have interfered with emergency workers on the ground, plus been a security nightmare to try to get him there any sooner than when he did go … which he did eight times … along with signing a $10.4 billion aid package and ordering 7,200 National Guard troops to the region.
Let’s compare that to Empathy Joe’s response to the Maui fires.
August 8 and 9: While the fires were raging, Joe lounged on the beach.
August 9 and 10: He flew to Utah to schmooze with Democratic leaders, raise money, brag about his accomplishments, and badmouth MAGA Republicans. While describing how vile those latter are, “the president’s tone unmistakably carried a sense of sorrow.”
August 10: He signed a disaster declaration.
August 14: When asked in person, he had “No comment.” (See graphic above.) Whoever manages his Twitter account put this out: “We’re laser-focused on getting aid to survivors, including Critical Needs Assistance: a one-time $700 payment per household offering relief during an unimaginably difficult time. We have staff on the ground dedicated to helping survivors navigate the registration process.”
August 15: He flew to Milwaukee to brag about how Bidenomics is growing our economy. During his speech, he talked about the fires and what he’s done to help, ending with “our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Hawaii. But not just our prayers. Every asset — every asset they need will be there for them. And we be — we’ll be there in Maui as long as it takes. As long as it takes. And I meant that sincerely.“
August 18: After hosting a summit at Camp David with the leaders of South Korea and Japan, Joe and Jill flew to Lake Tahoe to spend a week at the home of billionaire climate activist and Democrat donor, Tom Steyer, who made a bid for the Dem nomination in 2020.
August 21: Joe and Jill interrupted their Tahoe vacay to spend 5 hours in Maui. The delay bothered nobody, since everybody knows that a president should stay out of a disaster area while emergency work is still going on … unless you’re a Republican president, in which case boo hiss.
While speaking to a room full of Lahaina residents who have lost everything they owned, he said he could empathize with their losses, because “Ialmost lost my wife, my ’67 Corvette, and my cat” in a 2004 house fire. The local fire chief report says it was a small kitchen fire that was under control in 20 minutes.
HILLARY: After flooding some areas of Southern California and knocking out the power to more than 45,500 customers, Tropical Storm Hillary was downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone.
1A: When a senior living center banned Bible studies, a resident reached out to the ACLJ. All it took was for them to send a legal demand letter for the center to back down. Bible studies are back.
EVOLUTION: I saw a tweet that said, “My kid just asked: do caterpillars know they are going to become butterflies or do they just build themselves a coffin and wake up pleasantly surprised?”
If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to watch Illustra Media’s amazing documentary, Metamorphosis. It’s available at the link on DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes Stream, Amazon Prime, or Video on Demand.
Atheistic evolutionists mock us for believing Jesus could have risen from the dead, because “that can’t happen.” Well … at least my theology can account for both the resurrection of Jesus and the metamorphosis of caterpillars into butterflies. Theirs can’t do either.
EVs: Ford CEO Jim Farley reports on his experience trying to take a cross-country road trip in the Ford electric F-150. When using a low-speed charger, it took about 40 minutes for it to charge the electric F-150’s battery to 40 percent. “It was a really good reality check of the challenges of what our customers go through and the importance of fast charging and what we’re going to have to do to improve the charging experience.”
NEBRASKA: In the year since Dobbs overturned Roe, reporting on abortion issues has become less and less accurate. Currently, media outlets are reporting that a 17-year-old was sentenced to jail for obtaining a late-term abortion. The facts are just a wee bit different.
Both the girl and her mother were charged with one felony each for removing, concealing, or abandoning a body and with two misdemeanors each for concealing the death of another person and for false reporting to police. Despite having pleaded guilty to a felony, the girl was sentenced to just 90 days and will be out in 50 if she behaves herself.
The story is grotesque. At first, the girl and her mother told police she had miscarried and that they buried to child’s body on farmland belonging to a family friend. Later, it came out that the mother had gotten abortion pills online and, after the birth, placed the 29-week-old fetus in a garbage bag and buried it, then dug it up and buried it somewhere else. Then, they dug it up again and tried to burn it, which didn’t work, so they buried it a third time.
Police said it wasn’t clear if the baby had actually been born dead or if it had suffocated in the garbage bag. In addition to showing an appalling disregard for the life and remains of her grandchild, the mother also put her daughter’s life in danger. The abortion pills she bought online are only meant for ending pregnancies that are less than 10 weeks along. Due to the dangers of taking the drug without the supervision of a physician, a recent court decision has barred online sales.
