Rioting in Kenosha, Wisconsin

A black man who was shot by police is the proximate excuse Black Lives Matter used to justify destroying yet another American city.

They trashed the downtown area, breaking windows and looting stores every where, all while screaming “Get the cash register” and “Hey, get all that sh**.”

They burned down a car dealership.

They even burned down a church that had a sign out front saying “Black Lives Matter”!

2020_08 24 Protesting

Rioters brandished semi-automatic rifles at police officers and law-abiding citizens and threw Molotov cocktails and bricks at officers at close range.

One officer was knocked out with a brick; as his fellow officers dragged his limp body to a safer location, the BLM thugs cheered, clapped, and shouted “F*** the police.

Wisconsin’s disgusting Democrat governor is condemning the cops, yet the man who was shot, Jacob Blake, had a warrant out for his arrest, a history of assaulting police, and past charges for domestic abuse & a sex crime. He also had a history of resisting arrest and keeping handguns under the seat of his SUV. He was shot while resisting arrest and reaching under the front seat of his SUV.

CLICK [:19] to see a video of the shooting incident that supposedly sparked the riots.

Now watch this video, which explains in simple terms how NOT to get shot by police.

I think these two accurately represent today’s Democratic Party’s encouragement for violence, theft, and cruelty toward the weak.

COVID-19: FINALLY … some evidence-based data (as opposed to politically-charged declarations) to support social distancing and mask wearing.

I haven’t heard anyone say we don’t need to wash hands.

Catholic churches across the country have been open for up to four months since shelter-in-place orders were lifted.

In that time, over one million public masses have been celebrated following guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus – watch your distance, wear your mask, and wash your hands.

There has not been a single outbreak linked to church attendance in the parishes that followed the Three Ws guidelines: Watch your distance, Wear your mask, and Wash your hands.

The few churches that have been reported as sources of COVID-19 outbreaks did not follow social distancing or require masks; they also promoted congregational singing.

Democrats Are Gaslighting America

Gaslighting is a manipulation tactic used to gain power.

2020_08 23 Gaslighting

The following article by Stephanie Sarkis, Ph.D. was published in Psychology Today on Jan 22, 2017.

Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality. It works much better than you may think. Anyone is susceptible to gaslighting, and it is a common technique of abusers, dictators, narcissists, and cult leaders. It is done slowly, so the victim doesn’t realize how much they’ve been brainwashed. For example, in the movie Gaslight (1944), a man manipulates his wife to the point where she thinks she is losing her mind.

In my book Gaslighting: Recognize Manipulative and Emotionally Abusive People – and Break Free, I detail how gaslighters typically use the following techniques:

They tell blatant lies.

You know it’s an outright lie. Yet they are telling you this lie with a straight face. Why are they so blatant? Because they’re setting up a precedent. Once they tell you a huge lie, you’re not sure if anything they say is true. Keeping you unsteady and off-kilter is the goal.

They deny they ever said something, even though you have proof.

You know they said they would do something; you know you heard it. But they out and out deny it. It makes you start questioning your reality—maybe they never said that thing. And the more they do this, the more you question your reality and start accepting theirs.

They use what is near and dear to you as ammunition.

They know how important your kids are to you, and they know how important your identity is to you. So those may be one of the first things they attack. If you have kids, they tell you that you should not have had those children. They will tell you’d be a worthy person if only you didn’t have a long list of negative traits. They attack the foundation of your being.

They wear you down over time.

This is one of the insidious things about gaslighting—it is done gradually, over time. A lie here, a lie there, a snide comment every so often…and then it starts ramping up. Even the brightest, most self-aware people can be sucked into gaslighting—it is that effective. It’s the “frog in the frying pan” analogy: The heat is turned up slowly, so the frog never realizes what’s happening to it.

Their actions do not match their words.

When dealing with a person or entity that gaslights, look at what they are doing rather than what they are saying. What they are saying means nothing; it is just talk. What they are doing is the issue.

They throw in positive reinforcement to confuse you.

This person or entity that is cutting you down, telling you that you don’t have value, is now praising you for something you did. This adds an additional sense of uneasiness. You think, “Well maybe they aren’t so bad.” Yes, they are. This is a calculated attempt to keep you off-kilter—and again, to question your reality. Also look at what you were praised for; it is probably something that served the gaslighter.

They know confusion weakens people.

Gaslighters know that people like having a sense of stability and normalcy. Their goal is to uproot this and make you constantly question everything. And humans’ natural tendency is to look to the person or entity that will help you feel more stable—and that happens to be the gaslighter.

They project.

They are a drug user or a cheater, yet they are constantly accusing you of that. This is done so often that you start trying to defend yourself, and are distracted from the gaslighter’s own behavior.

They try to align people against you.

Gaslighters are masters at manipulating and finding the people they know will stand by them no matter what—and they use these people against you. They will make comments such as, “This person knows that you’re not right,” or “This person knows you’re useless too.” Keep in mind it does not mean that these people actually said these things. A gaslighter is a constant liar. When the gaslighter uses this tactic it makes you feel like you don’t know who to trust or turn to—and that leads you right back to the gaslighter. And that’s exactly what they want: Isolation gives them more control.

They tell you or others that you are crazy.

This is one of the most effective tools of the gaslighter, because it’s dismissive. The gaslighter knows if they question your sanity, people will not believe you when you tell them the gaslighter is abusive or out-of-control. It’s a master technique.

They tell you everyone else is a liar.

By telling you that everyone else (your family, the media) is a liar, it again makes you question your reality. You’ve never known someone with the audacity to do this, so they must be telling the truth, right? No. It’s a manipulation technique. It makes people turn to the gaslighter for the “correct” information—which isn’t correct information at all.

Click Bait

Not precisely FAKE NEWS, but definitely something to toss into the circular file.

The New York Post published this factual headline with the graphic and a lede saying, “This year could end with a bang. Scientists recently spotted an asteroid on a direct collision course to Earth — projected to hit a day before the presidential elections in November.”

2020_08 24 NASA

Kinda suggests it’s an “OMG WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE” crisis coming, right?!

Except, I couldn’t find anything at all about this asteroid at NASA’s asteroid watch site.

Fortunately, the Fox News version wasn’t so hysteria-making.

AND it included a link, which helped my research immense

What the NY Post did NOT say is that this asteroid (designated 2018VP1) is small by asteroid standards.

Yes, at 6.5 feet, it does resemble a small car.

An asteroid the size of an SUV whizzed past us just last week … and nobody cared.

At roughly 10 to 20 feet across, asteroid 2020QG is very small by asteroid standards.”

The NY Post article also does not say that 2018VP1 has a 99.59% chance of missing Earth.

And even if it does hit us, it is so small, it will just burn up in the atmosphere.

NASA wasn’t at all concerned about 2020QG, the bigger one that made a very close pass last week.

If it had actually been on an impact trajectory, it would likely have become a fireball as it broke up in Earth’s atmosphere, which happens several times a year.

Democrat Winner is an Immature Bully

This amateurish, 19-year-old Democratic candidate has defeated 13-year incumbent Stan Frownfelter, 823 to 809, in the Aug. 4 Democratic primary for the 37th District.

Because there is no Republican challenger, he is a shoo-in for the seat.

If that weren’t bad enough, Aaron Coleman (who claims to be a feminist) won despite having admitted to abusing multiple girls when he was in middle school. (Remember, he’s all of 19 now.)

One young woman says Coleman “harassed me for months, it got so bad that he found out my family’s home phone and wouldn’t stop calling it until we picked up.

Another young woman says that, just five years ago, Coleman “got one of my nudes and blackmailed me with it and told me if I didn’t send him more he would (send) it to all of my friends and family. And when I didn’t send him more, he sent it to everyone I knew.” The victim wasn’t sure how Coleman obtained the photo. “All I know is he’s an awful person and he should not be allowed to run for anything,” she stated.

The third, and possibly most heinous, was his vicious bullying of a six grader that got so bad, she attempted suicide. It included “calling me fat, telling me to kill myself, like I’m never going to find anyone, like I’m worthless, just downgrading me every day” and sending messages that read, “F*** you you f***ing ratchet fat s**t. F*** off whale. Go on a diet and get some braces.

On his Facebook page dedicated to his campaign, Coleman admitted to the accusations, but said they were “the actions of a sick and troubled 14-yo boy. I made serious mistakes in middle school and I deeply regret and apologize for them. I’ve grown up a great deal since then.”

Oh. So he’s grown up so much in just five years that he’s now ready to draft and vote on LEGISLATION?!

And it’s not like he’s actually grown up all that much. During the campaign, he told former Republican state lawmaker John Whitmer that he would “laugh and giggle when you get COVID and die.

Democrats voted for him. It’s not clear to me how many of them were dead. When I told Dearest about this, he said, “He’s gotta be somebody’s puppet.” Yeah. Unless, could it be, Kansas Democrats are actually this lazy, stupid, and corrupt?

Melania’s Rose Garden Makeover

2020_08 22 plan

The Rose Garden as we are all familiar with was established in 1962, under President John F. Kennedy. It has, of course, enjoyed updates and small face lifts, but after nearly six decades, roots have grown and spread, affecting some plants, larger trees have created too much shade, the turf has drainage issues, and the walkways, which were built or redone during different updates, don’t match.

2020_08 22 rose garden before

During the first three weeks of August, teams of workers – including gardeners and electricians – took it all out and replaced it with the garden in the plan above. The goals included not only fixing the problems listed above, but also making the space better for televised and streamed events. For example, the lighting has been updated for more TV-friendly viewing and all the utility cables placed beneath the now-matching paving to hide the unsightly, but necessary wires, cords and plugs. The entire project has been funded by private donations.

2020_08 22 complete a

2020_08 22 complete overview

The flowers will be predominantly roses. Through the years, the Rose Garden has been planted and replanted with seasonal flowers of many species, but the mainstay has been the rose, of which more than 50 varieties have been planted. Mrs. Trump chose to focus on several of the most iconic American species, including the “White House Rose,” a white varietal with a tall, vertical shrub style; the “JFK Rose,” which is cream-colored; and the “Peace Rose,” a smaller tea rose with a pale yellow center and light pink edges.

2020_08 22 ROSES

Mrs. Trump has also brought in an outdoor furniture expert to create furnishing to replace the random pieces of furniture from previous administrations. She has also commissioned a bench similar to the one Ellen Wilson had placed in the garden, which remained there from 1913 until 1962.

Character is on the Ballot

During his acceptance speech this week, Joe Biden said, “Character is on the ballot.

Okay, fine. Let’s talk about how Joe Biden’s proven history of lying and plagiarizing reflect on his character.

2020_08 21 pinocchio

In the 1970s and 1980s, Biden regularly claimed to have been an activist in the civil rights movement. In 1983, he said, “When I was 17 years old, I participated in sit-ins to desegregate restaurants and movie houses in my state, and my stomach turned upon hearing the voices of Faubus and Barnett, and my soul raged upon seeing the dogs of Bull Connor.

In 1988, he admitted that the extent of his civil rights participation was working at an all-black swimming pool for a summer while he was in college. “But I was not out marching. I was not down in Selma. I was not anywhere else. I was a suburbanite kid who got a dose of exposure to what was happening to black Americans.”

During the 2020 Democratic primary, he repeated the lie that he was involved in civil rights activism.

He also once claimed, “I organized a civil rights boycott because they wouldn’t serve black kids. One of our football players was black and we went there and they said they wouldn’t serve him. And I said to the others, ‘Hey, we can’t go in there.’ So we all left.

But in 1987, the black football player said his team mates “weren’t aware of what happened. … I was only 16 then. It was my problem and my battle for me to work out. They were oblivious to it until later.

In 1988, Biden referred to “my ancestors, who worked in the coal mines of Northeast Pennsylvania.” The line was part of the Neil Kinnock speech he plagiarized.

In 2004, he acknowledged that he did not have family members who worked in mining. But then in 2008, he told the United Mine Workers that he himself had once been a coal miner.

2020_08 21 star trek

In 2007, Biden claimed he was “shot at” during the Iraq War while visiting the Green Zone, the heavily guarded area in the middle of Baghdad where the United States embassy is based.

When asked for details about the shooting, a Biden campaign aide told the Hill that the then-senator was staying at a hotel in the Green Zone when a mortar landed several hundred yards away.
