Democrat committee chair, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA28), invited two FBI witnesses, Stephanie Douglas and Robert Anderson, who worked under then-FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Republicans on the committee invited a third witness, Andrew McCarthy, a former assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

The clip should start at the beginning of the time granted to Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT2).

TRUMP’S UK TRIP: Somebody needs to point out to The View that neither Bill Clinton nor Barack Obama served in the military. As for Joe Biden, he received five student draft deferments during the Vietnam War and later was disqualified from service because of asthma as a teenager. Lots of guys were disqualified for seemingly stupid physical failings. One of my brothers went to Vietnam and was badly injured; the other was disqualified from service due to flat feet and poor vision. [4:52]

CATHOLIC HERO: Katharine Drexel was born into a wealthy family in Philadelphia in1858, but when she got older, she took a vow of poverty, founded a new order of religious sisters (the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament), and devoted her great wealth to serving Native Americans and African-Americans. (The money she inherited from her father would be worth about $400 million in today’s dollars.)

In 1922, a local KKK group turned against one of the order’s schools in Beaumont, Texas, and threatened to tar and feather the pastor and bomb his church. The nuns prayed and days later, a tornado came and destroyed the headquarters of the KKK killing two of their members. The Sisters were never threatened again. Continue reading
