More Women Are Traveling To Illinois To Have Abortions As States Turn Pro-Life

Women are traveling in increasing numbers to Illinois to get abortions, in what may be a reaction to a number of Midwestern states passing pro-life measures.

The total number of statewide abortions, as well as the number of abortions performed in Illinois on out-of-state-women, increased between 2016 and 2017, according to the Chicago Tribune. Women had 38,382 abortions in 2016 compared to 39,329 abortions in 2017, the Tribune reported.

The number of out-of-state abortions increased by nearly 1,000 between 2016 and 2017, rising from 4,543 abortions to 5,528, according to the Tribune.

It’s common for campaigns and party committees to finish election cycles in the hole as they throw everything they have — and then some — at an election, but the $18 million will have to be made up through fundraising before the new chairman can start building a war chest for the next election cycle.

OOPS: Yale study shows Liberals are more racist. According to a study at Yale, white liberals have a tendency to downplay their own level of intelligence when they interact with blacks and other “racial minorities.” The study also revealed that white conservatives don’t do this and they tend to use the same language no matter who they’re speaking with. Which would point to conservatives not seeing color as much as liberals. This seems to go against the popular narrative that white conservatives are the ones who have issues with race.

Detroit’s Oakland University is passing out hockey pucks to faculty and student government leaders to throw at active shooters should such an event break out.
