I'm a 60 something wife, mom and grandmom who is homebound/disabled by severe hypersensitivity to chemicals. I fill my days with learning, loving and art. My favorite values are truth, generosity and gratitude.
Earlier today, Dearest told me that, when he noted that hot dogs were on the menu for next Friday’s parish picnic, he asked the pastor, “Aren’t we supposed to not eat meat on Fridays?” and was told, “That’s only during Lent.”
I’m underwhelmed to say the least. I expect that kind of ignorance from other Catholics, because it’s what I was told many years ago also. But it was wrong. And once I learned that I was wrong, I instituted meatless Fridays in our home.
I would have hoped the pastor would have elaborated more on the actual situation instead of sending my husband home to tell me, on a Friday, as I was serving up fish salad, “You know, Father says we don’t need to do meatless Fridays any more.”
The relevant portions of the Code of Canon Law states, “The penitential days and times in the universal Church are every Friday of the whole year and the season of Lent. Abstinence from meat, or from some other food as determined by the Episcopal Conference, is to be observed on all Fridays, unless a solemnity should fall on a Friday. Abstinence and fasting are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.” [1250, 1251]
Re: “from some other food as determined by the Episcopal Conference” – On November 18, 1966, the U.S. bishops issued the following directive to American Catholics:
“Even though we hereby terminate the traditional law of abstinence binding under pain of sin, as the sole prescribed means of observing Friday, we give first place to abstinence from flesh meat. We do so in the hope that the Catholic community will ordinarily continue to abstain from meat by free choice as formerly we did in obedience to Church law.” [24]
The bishops said it was important to continue the discipline to “remind ourselves that as Christians, although immersed in the world and sharing its life, we must preserve a saving and necessary difference from the spirit of the world. Our deliberate, personal abstinence from meat, more especially because no longer required by law, will be an outward sign of inward spiritual values that we cherish.”
Father was correct in saying that, because the church removed the penalty of sin from eating meat on Friday, we don’t have to abstain from meat on Fridays outside of Lent. But this is a far cry from serving hot dogs at a Friday parish picnic.
Re: “unless a solemnity should fall on a Friday” – Solemnities are extra special feast days on which it would be inappropriate to do penance. Most of them are universal; some are local. Next Friday isn’t one of them.
AFGHAN STAN: From FB – “I find myself sitting in the parking lot at Kroger trying to compose myself. You see, while inside getting groceries, I came upon a little girl prancing down the isle making a crazy noise. I turned around to see this young lady wearing massive boots compared to her tiny body. At first I just giggled and continued shopping.
“I ended up in the check out lane behind her and her mother. As good southerners do, we struck up conversation. I told the little girl that I liked her boots. She had a massive grin on her face and began to speak. She let me know that those boots belonged to her Daddy. Today would have been his birthday, but he was killed last year in ‘Afghan Stan.’ To feel better about today, she was allowed to wear his boots.
“As her mom started to cry, so did I, as did the cashier. Apparently, the gentleman behind me heard the story and gave the little girl a cupcake out of the dozen he was buying. He told the little girl to always eat a cupcake for her dad’s birthday. He told her that her dad was a hero and that she should be proud to be his daughter.
“Please remember why we are able to celebrate America. Let’s stop to think about those who protect the freedom that we often take for granted!”
COLLEGE: Portland State University professor Peter Boghossian has resigned in an open letter in which he accuses the administration of having created a “Social Justice factory” whose “only inputs were race, gender, and victimhood and whose only outputs were grievance and division.”
“Students at Portland State are not being taught to think. Rather, they are being trained to mimic the moral certainty of ideologues. … This has created a culture of offense where students are now afraid to speak openly and honestly.“
GEORGIA: A new report by the Indianapolis-based Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) says that about 27,000 mail-in ballots in Georgia were returned as undeliverable by the post office during the 2020 election. The number is more than double the margin of victory—12,000 votes—by which President Joe Biden supposedly won the state.
GREG GUTFELD: [15:28] – Stephen Colbert’s leftie-friendly The Late Show has been the most watched late-night show for the past five years running. On Tuesday, after just five months on the air, Greg’s right-friendly late night comedy show, Gutfeld!, beat out Colbert’s in the all-important 25 to 54 age demographic.
LIFE: A group of pro-abortion Christian organizations are working with abortion industry leaders to fight Texas’ heartbeat law. The churches call themselves Reproductive Freedom Congregations.
Rev. Erika Forbes, the faith and outreach manager for the Texas branch says, “I am on a quest, we are on a quest, to take God back from the hostage situation that the conservatives have hijacked, and I absolutely feel that the God that I believe in, the God that I serve, called by many names, and no name at all, trusts and respects women.”
MANDATES: According to recent polls, 42.7% of American voters are more likely to support businesses that do not require mandates, as compared to 34.3% who say they are less likely to support such businesses.
MASKS: Newly obtained emails show that the Biden administration and the CDC changed intended COVID-19 recommendations after the powerful National Education Association threatened to dump on them if they didn’t. So much for following the science.
NUCLEAR ENERGY: [5:27] – Michael Shellenberger, founder of Environmental Progress, explains why the only real answer to fossil fuels is unacceptable to the Left. He examines the three nuclear disasters.
POLITICO: On Tuesday, Politico published an article entitled “Biden anxiety levels.” It’s about how Biden’s staff can’t bear to watch him taking questions from reporters, because he makes so many gaffes. “Some White House staffers will either mute him or turn off his remarks” for fear of seeing him struggle to stay on message while talking to the press.
PORTLAND: Last Friday, Mayor Ted Wheeler announced that the city council intended to vote on an emergency resolution Wednesday to stop “the City’s future procurement of goods and services from, and City employee business travel to, the state of Texas.”
“The Portland City Council stands unified in its belief that all people should have the right to choose if and when they carry a pregnancy and that the decisions they make are complex, difficult, and unique to their circumstances.”
As it turned out, the council postponed the vote. But Texas Senator John Cornyn doesn’t care one way or the other. “If they don’t want to come to Texas that’s fine, people from every other state, are certainly coming here.”
STEM: Unsurprisingly, as our schools prioritize social justice and diversity over mastery and merit, we are falling further and further behind in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The current world leader is China.
TOLERANCE: [4:12] – This is what happens when a conservative black Republican runs against a liberal white Democrat. The Leftie media isn’t interested.
VFAUXTUS: As badly as Dementia Joe is faring, his hand-picked Female of Color VP is doing even worse. Her RCP average favorability is minus 9.2 (41.2 favorable vs. 50.4 unfavorable).
This could explain why, four months after bragging that she was the “last person in the room” with Biden as he decided to fully withdraw U.S. forces from Afghanistan, she’s nowhere to be seen. On Thursday, she was supposed to appear in her own home state on behalf of embattled California Gov. Gavin Newsom. But then she suddenly wasn’t.
WASHINGTON POST: WaPo media reporter Jeremy Barr recently published a story critical of liberal cable outlets allowing former defense officials to use their air time to criticize FAUXTUS’ big fat mess. Because, they, you know, don’t blame everything on Trump and also take air time away from “humanitarians, longtime opponents of the war and advocates who could speak to the human toll of the U.S. presence in Afghanistan.”
GRAMMY NOTES: The Mascots’ first year at Mama’s Home School has begun. The theme for the year is America. This week, they went to Gettysburg where they did did several activities and earned Gettysburg Junior Ranger certificates and badges.
AUSTRALIA: [2:18] – Aussie truckers are fighting back against Big Brother gummint with a massive blockade. A driver warned, “If the truck tires stop rolling, Australia stops rolling.“
FAUCI: Following a FOIA lawsuit, The Intercept succeeded in getting more than 900 pages of materials related to US.-funded coronavirus research in China.
The docs reveal that the U.S. government pumped $3.1 million into American health organization EcoHealth Alliance to back bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).
Fauci has adamantly denied, while under oath, that the NIH funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan.
GITMO: Four of the five Gitomo detainees that Obama exchanged for traitor Bowe Berghdahl in 2014 now hold senior positions in the interim government created by the Taliban in Afghanistan.
HEARTBEAT: Here are phrases the Left Stream Media has actually used to avoid admitting that 6 week old human beings have a heartbeat – cardiac rhythm; a group of cells with electrical activity; a cluster of pulsing cells; fetal pole cardiac activity; the pulsing of what will later become the fetus’ heart.
INSANITY: Rutgers University has barred a New Jersey student from taking virtual classes, because he is unvaccinated. He lives 70 miles from the campus and has no intention of attending any classes in person.
OB/GYN: [6:41] – Dr. Ghazaleh Moaydei, a Texas abortionist, is whining that the Texas heartbeat ban threatens her ability to care for her family. Wait, wut? She’s a fully qualified Medical Doctor with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology, but if she can’t perform abortions, she’ll go broke? How does that work exactly?
SOUTH DAKOTA: Gov. Kristi Noem, R-SD, has signed an executive order prohibiting the abortion industry from prescribing and selling abortion-inducing drugs online. Under Noem’s new order, only licensed South Dakota doctors may prescribe abortion-inducing drugs, and then only after an in-person exam.
STATE DEPARTMENT: On Tuesday, the clown show known as the Biden State Department expressed its concern over the lack of female leadership in the Taliban’s new government. I’m pretty sure the Taliban doesn’t care what the fools in Washington think about anything.
TALIBAN: The same tweeter also reported – “Just heard that #Taliban executed five more female Afghan police officers this time in #Kabul. They were all executed in their homes and in front of their families today.”
TEXAS: Those silly run-away Democrats got a lot of press, but accomplished exactly nothing. On Tuesday, Gov. Abbott signed the election reform bill into law. Supporters say it will make it easier to vote, but harder to cheat. Democrats are opposed, of course.
WIND AND SOLAR: What’s wrong with them by Prager U [3:53] – Mark Mills, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, analyzes the true cost — both economic and environmental — of so-called green energy.
CATHOLIC: Devout Joe just flip flopped himself even further from the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. In 2008, 2012, and again in 2015, Biden affirmed that he personally believes that life begins at conception. “That’s the Church’s judgment. I accept it in my personal life. … I just refuse to impose that on others.”
Last Friday, he said he does not believe that life begins at conception and has instructed the Department of Justice to look for ways to block the recently enacted “Heartbeat Act” in Texas.

MEDIA: Last Friday, jerknalists praised FAUXTUS for going to New Orleans to see the damage Hurricane Ida did for himself.
After Hurricane Harvey, they criticized Trump for doing the exact same thing, because he was supposedly just playing “look at me” and diverting attention from rescue work. After Hurricane Katrina, they criticized Bush for not going, then they ignored it when he did.
PROPHECY: [3:28] – In a recent video, Fr. Mark Goring of St. Mary’s Parish in Ottawa, Ca, shared three messages from Our Lady that speak to the craziness of our time.
VAX: According to a report filed with the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), a six-week-old breastfeeding baby became inexplicably ill with a high fever after his mother received a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on June 4, 2021. He died weeks later with blood clots in his “severely inflamed arteries.” The case is the second known account of a breastfeeding baby dying.

FRANCE: Last Saturday, an estimated 140,000 people protested in several French cities against vax passports. This was the eighth straight weekend against the health pass, mandated by the French Parliament.
IVERMECTIN: In 2015, three men were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their work on this inexpensive, life-saving drug that the Left is currently demonizing as nothing more than a horse dewormer that is dangerous to humans. This was the first time in sixty years that the Nobel Committee had granted an award involving the treatment of infectious disease.
In August 2021, the National Library of Medicine published a review of its use in more than 20 randomized clinical trials (RCTs) involving COVID-19. These studies found notable reductions (31% mean) in COVID-19 fatalities. During mass IVM treatments in Peru, excess deaths fell by a mean of 74% over 30 days in its ten states with the most extensive treatments. The report noted that the indicated biological mechanism is likely to work with full efficacy against emerging viral mutant strains.
JORDAN PETERSON: [2:39] – I’ve never seen Jordan Peterson even get ruffled, you know? But in this March 2021 interview, he gets choked up and weepy over the plausibility of the Jesus narrative. “I don’t know what the make of it, partly because it’s too terrifying a reality to fully believe. I don’t even know what would happen to you if you fully believed it.”
MASKS: According to the CDC, the chances of a minor in America surviving COVID-19 is 99.99997%. And a study by the American Academy of Pediatrics suggested transmission of the virus at school was “extremely rare.”
MEDIA LIES AGAIN: In an article published Aug. 23, 2021, the Associated Press falsely reported that 70% of all calls to the Mississippi Poison Control Center had come from people who had ingested ivermectin to try to treat COVID-19. The actual number of calls about ivermectin was 2%.
During these miraculous events, Our Lady referred back to her apparitions and messages in Fatima, and she warned that Satan is out to destroy the family. Additionally, Our Lady spoke about the apostasy in the Church, the darkness that overshadows Rome, the need to consecrate Italy to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and a third world war following the apostasy.
The Toronto Star article about the protest, linked below, is filled with bias. E.g., the protesters “shared misinformation.” Some “held signs depicting Bill Gates, a reference to a baseless conspiracy theory that purports the billionaire philanthropist is using the vaccine to embed people with a microchip.” Some also carried “a Canadian and American flag altered to depict the ‘thin blue line,’ a controversial symbol often worn to show solidarity with police and frequently associated with hate groups.”
FAKE NEWS: As part of its quest to promote fear and enrich Big Pharma, Rolling Stone published a fake story claiming that the emergency room at Northeastern Hospital System Sequoyah was unable to treat gunshot victims, because the facility was overwhelmed by stupid people who had taken ivermectin, “an anti-parasitic drug usually reserved for deworming horses or livestock” as a treatment or preventative for COVID-19.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and thousands of other mindless leftist sheeple promoted this b.s. story that is one big fat lie from beginning to end.
The doctor Rolling Stone interviewed and quoted doesn’t work for NHS Sequoyah. NHS Sequoyah says it is not overwhelmed and has not turned away patients seeking emergency care for any reason. NHS Sequoyah also says it has not treated anyone for complications related to taking any form of ivermectin.
Also, just by the by, that line about ivermectin being “reserved for deworming horses or livestock” is a total and easily verifiable lie. The FDA approved ivermectin for use by humans in 1981. In 2018, it was the 420th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than one hundred thousand prescriptions.
MOVIE RECOMMENDATION: Small Group is a 2018 faith-based drama in which a documentary filmmaker is sent to infiltrate a small church group. Unlike some faith-based movies, this drama doesn’t sugarcoat or gloss over mature content. Nor does it hold back on the juvenile fart jokes. Good tight script with excellent characters, actors, and faith message. I really enjoyed it.
TEXAS: “The new Texas heartbeat law will save the lives of an average of 150 children each day. Yet there are hundreds of accounts on Twitter – including many ‘journalists’ – attacking the law. Imagine being upset about the fact that 150 children get to live another day. Blind. Tragic. Heartless.” – Lila Rose

BUY-COTT: After a central Florida diner posted this sign, patrons swarmed to eat there. On Wednesday, they had to close early because they ran out of food.
The owner told the Daytona Beach News-Journal, “I’ve gotten so many people calling me from all over the world, from Europe, trying to purchase meals for veterans, which I still haven’t been able to organize. I think that the veterans will be fed for the rest of the year at the rate I’m getting donations.”
FRANCE: Last month, France’s equivalent of the US Supreme Court ruled that parents must obtain permission to home-school from local authorities, instead of simply producing a declaration that they have opted for this form of instruction within the family as was the case to date.
In a recent poll, 43 percent of French citizens agreed with the proposition that France is becoming a “dictatorship.”
Ivermectin was FDA approved in 1998 to treat parasitic infections. Like hydroxychloroquine, it is an ionophore. Two others are quercetin, and resveratrol, both available over the counter. All of them open a cellular door, allowing zinc to enter the cell, where it then interferes with viral replication, providing potential therapeutic benefit in viral and other infections.
A study published several months ago in the American Journal of Therapeutics reported that 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 had found “large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance.” The study also found that ivermectin was effective as a prophylactic. But, yeah, there’s NO EVIDENCE that ivermectin is effective against COVID. Riiiight.
When India had a surge in COVID cases earlier this year, ivermectin was put into widespread use in all but one state. In all but that one, cases dropped by 97%. In that one, cases tripled.
The Japanese Medical Association recently endorsed ivermectin for COVID. So why is our own CDC cautioning against it? Why is our own FDA saying we should not use it? And why is our media busily demonizing it? Could it be that the drug is old enough to be available as a dirt cheap generic, so that Merck, the Big Pharma company that originally patented it, isn’t making the big bucks any more.
Plus, you know, Merck has a ton of money tied up in its new, expensive COVID specific drug. Click the bottom link to read about the $1.2 billion deal Merck has with the U.S. government if its drug gets approved. So yeah, by all means, let’s NOT use that cheapo generic that has been in use for more than 20 years, cuz it’s not just used for humans, but also for cows and horses. (So is aspirin.) Plus if misused it can have serious, even deadly side-effects. (Ditto every drug on the market, Rx and OTC.)
WASHINGTON’S VISION: Ht/ red – CLICK the link to read the full text of General George Washington’s 1777 vision. The first two portions have come true; the third sounds like it’s soon to come.
Yesterday, I read Luke 17:22-35 and couldn’t help but think, “Wow, that sounds like Jesus told us the Rapture will be Pre-Trib.”
Various Catholic prophecies describe a pre-Tribulation event known as The Warning and/or The Illumination of Conscience.
The prophets say the sky around the world will become black and that Jesus on a cross will be visible in the sky from everywhere in the world. They also say that, at this time, everyone (above the age of reason) will see his or her soul as God sees it and will also experience for a few minutes where they would go if they were to die in that moment.
In Luke 17:22-25, Jesus seems to speak to this event. “[Jesus] said to his disciples, ‘The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them. For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.”
In many of Mary’s messages to us, she has strongly urged us to pray, fast, and repent so we will be ready when the day comes. I can’t help but wonder if the Rapture might occur in conjunction with the Warning (aka, Illumination of Conscience). Like, maybe those of us who have heeded the call to personal holiness and are ready on that day will be taken up to Heaven and spared the trials of the Great Tribulation.
It’s a nice thought, right?! But wishes aren’t horses, as they say. However, in the verses right after Jesus uses the phrase “lights up the sky from one end to the other” to describe his return, He speaks of the Rapture.
“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.
“It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
“It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. Remember Lot’s wife! Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it. I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”
CHINA: China is determined to “vigorously promote excellent Chinese traditional culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture.”
Starting on Friday, minors will be limited to three hours of online gaming per week, and the three hours can only be played on weekends, during specified time slots. In addition, “vulgar internet celebrities”, particularly girly-men, will not be promoted, because Chinese Communist Men are supposed to be traditionally masculine.
Not holding my breath waiting on the ludicrous left to care.
DON LEMON: On Tuesday, CNN anchor Don Lemon opened his show with a tirade against the unvaccinated, who in his opinion shouldn’t be treated by hospitals since they aren’t “doing things right.” Remaining unvaccinated is statistically irrelevant in the spread of COVID-19.
In 2019, Lemon expressed his opposition to “medical discrimination” against those who contracted HIV through homosexual acts. The CDC lists homosexual “intercourse” as one of the largest risk factors for contracting the virus which is exponentially more lethal than COVID-19.
FAUXTUS: David Catron writes at The American Spectator about how the media is trying to whitewash FAUXTUS’ Afghan mess. It’s exactly what I expected, but the whole Afghanistan thing is soul crushing, so I can’t go there and haven’t read it.
FLORIDA: The Florida Department of Health has issued a notice indicating it will start issuing $5,000 fines to businesses, schools, and government agencies that require Floridians to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Health care providers are exempt from the fine, which also does not apply to vaccine requirements businesses or other entities impose on their own employees.
HURRICANE IDA: On Sunday, August 29, Category 4 storm Ida made landfall, leaving more than a million people in the New Orleans metropolitan area without power. Hundreds of thousands also lack water and fuel.
On August 30, a church near New Orleans published the top photo of their unscathed statue of Mary. The post inspired others to post photos of other Mary statues the storm didn’t touch.
LEFT vs. RIGHT: Right-wingers are EXACTLY like left-wingers. For example, after George Floyd offed himself with his crappy lifestyle, his grieving admirers rioted, destroyed millions of dollars in property and violently ended dozens of lives. After 13 Marines were blown up by the Taliban, their grieving admirers wept, flew their flags, and wept some more. See, exactly the same!
MEDIA: Twice this week, MSNBC has claimed anti-abortion Christians are just like the Taliban. Host Joy Reid argued Christians want to drive women out of the workforce and out of politics, so they can stay home and make babies.
I’m wondering if anyone has told these idiots that the Taliban not only imprisons women in their homes, forbids them to be educated after the age of eight, allows them to read nothing but the Qu’ran, but also is violently opposed to abortion, birth control, and homosexuality. They also kill people for trying to quit their religion.
PLANNED PARENTHOOD: Freedom Toons nails this one [3:37].
PROJECT VERITAS: Early this week, Project Veritas posted video of a Sacramento, California, public high school teacher bragging that he and three of his colleagues actively work to indoctrinate their students with Marxist ideology.
“I have 180 days to turn them [students] into revolutionaries…Scare the f*ck out of them,” he says on the undercover video. “I’m probably as far left as you can go.” The photos above are from his classroom.
Surprisingly, reaction was swift. Unlike so many other cases where leftist school boards have ignored parents and teachers, the Natomas school board immediately placed the teacher on unpaid leave, stripped all the fascist crap off the classroom walls, and is taking the necessary steps to fire him.
RACISM: A video posted by an anti-Critical Race Theory group shows Professor of Psychology at Duquesne University Derek Hook, defending the idea that white people should commit suicide as an ethical act.
SOROS: George Soros has been very active in California state politics, as Matt Polumbo details in his book. So far, Soros has donated $1 million to support Gov. Newsom in the recall election.
TEXAS: Hillary Clinton blasted the Supreme Court for its refusal to block a Texas ban on abortion after six weeks of pregnancy. According to her, ”Yes: They gutted Roe v. Wade without hearing arguments, in a one-paragraph, unsigned 5-4 opinion issued in the middle of the night.”
I think she’s forgetting the part where SCOTUS gutted abortion laws in almost all 50 states with its 5-4 approval of unrestricted abortion. National Review wrote, ”If Clinton had read the Court’s opinion, it should have been immediately clear that its decision did not turn on the constitutional matter of whether the right to an abortion can be found in the Constitution, but on a much more mundane procedural question.”
TRANS: Remember the brouhaha back in June after a biological female raised a ruckus over a biological male flapping his nudie man parts in the Ladies Only section of a health spa in Los Angeles? Filmed by a bystander, her rant went viral, sparking protests and counter-protests.
It turns out that the owner of the offending man parts is a tier-one registered sex offender with nearly a dozen felony convictions, including two for indecent exposure. This bottom feeder claims he’s the victim of transphobic prejudice. Police say he has used the trans gag before to flash and gawp at nekkid ladies.
COVID-19: Candace Owens was refused an appointment for a COVID-19 test because the owner doesn’t like what she’s said about the pandemic. Also public health and other stuff.
PHONE CALLS: Remember when Trump chatted with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the call got leaked and the Democrats’ heads exploded over Trump asking Zelensky to investigate Hunter Biden? Yeah. Me too.
But my oh my … how differently the Dems are treating the leaked transcript and audio of a recent call between President Biden and then Afghan President Ghani during which Biden asked Ghani to lie his a** off. At Wednesday’s White House briefing, Biden press secretary Jen Psaki said she was “not going to get into… leaked call transcripts.”
SLAVERY: [5:40] – It’s been around since forever. And it’s not only not a white phenomenon, it was whites who had the novel idea to put an end to it.
TALIBAN: The Taliban are weeping into their sheer yakh because those meanie Americans went and broke all the helicopters and airplanes they left behind.
When an Al Jazeera reporter asked, “Why do you think that the Americans would have left everything operational for you?“, they said because the equipment we paid for should have come to them as a national asset.
“We are the government now and this could have come to great use for us.” She added, “They are disappointed, they are angry, they feel betrayed because all of this equipment is broken beyond repair.”
TEXAS: The state’s new heartbeat ban has kicked in and pro-aborts are really pissed that babies might get born alive and, you know, grow into people, which I guess in Leftie Land is a bad thing.
Stella Parton tweeted her outrage over Texans exercising their right to protect the unborn with this gem: “Don’t you find it odd that women in America are being treated worse than women in Afghanistan? We wasted 2trillion dollars plus to go into Afghanistan to liberate their women and children? Something ain’t right here folks. Are you catching on yet?”
Reality Checks: “Women in Afghanistan can no longer leave their house. If they do leave their house, they have to be fully covered with only their eyes showing and only with a male chaperone. They cannot go to school. If they are raped, the woman is stoned to death. Get some flipping perspective.”
“America has given me every right and has never stopped me from exceeding in what I want to do in life. I suggest you head on over to Afghanistan and see what it’s truly like to live there as a woman, you’d beg to come home!”
“Maybe you can sell a song about how great it is to be a woman under Taliban rule.”
Daily Mail UK news reports: “A woman was set on fire by Taliban fighters who didn’t like the food they forced her to cook. Young girls are being forced to marry fighters while others are being packed alive into coffins and shipped abroad so they can be used as sex slaves.”
GRAMMY NOTES: I finally cleared out my IN box and am picking away at all the visit photos. I love these two! On their last morning, while Mama Buzz packed the truck, the Mascots got one more chance to rumble on Fort Stump. It was POURING rain, but Mama said, “Go play in your jammies, then we’ll get warmed up, dressed, eat lunch, and get on the road.”
Re: Fort Stump – Our willow was tipping over, so we decided to cut it off high and build a fort on top. The design was a collaboration; Nonno did all the real work! The fourth side is just roped off for now; next summer, we plan for Nonno to add a tire ladder.
