Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that occurs when a person’s breathing is interrupted during sleep. People with untreated sleep apnea stop breathing repeatedly during their sleep, sometimes hundreds of times. This means the brain — and the rest of the body — may not get enough oxygen.

When I spent 9 days in the hospital it was discovered I had severe sleep apnea. I knew there was something wrong for years but I didn’t have the medical coverage to get tested for it. Having had a quadruple bypass in 2004, I was in the cardio unit and hooked up to an EKG. It was discovered that the reason I would suffer periodic blackouts was that my heart would literally stop for from 2-8 seconds. I use a VPAP (different from a CPAP) machine now and cannot sleep without it. It is difficult for me to go more than a few hours without sleep. As such, I spend a large part of the day sleeping and have trouble sleeping at night. Such was the case today, so I figured I’d get an early start on the babbling.
It is no secret that the democrats loathe the military and sometimes go out of their way to harm them. CtH has stated here that those serving, like her warriors, were miserable under the dictates of Barack H. Obama. The mightiest fighting force in the world was reduced to an insipid social experiment. All that ended today and the results were predictable. Unlike his predecessor, Trump LISTENS to the generals who conduct the actual operations.
Pres. Trump bars transgender individuals from US armed forces

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump abruptly declared a ban Wednesday on transgender troops serving anywhere in the U.S. military, catching the Pentagon flat-footed and unable to explain what it called President Trump’s “guidance.” His proclamation, on Twitter rather than any formal announcement, drew bipartisan denunciations and threw currently serving transgender soldiers into limbo.
“Please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” the commander in chief tweeted.

GOP senators break with Trump over transgender troop ban
Multiple Republican senators broke with President Trump on Wednesday after he announced on Twitter that transgender troops would be banned from serving in the military.
In separate statements, GOP Sens. John McCain (Ariz.), Joni Ernst (Iowa), Richard Shelby (Ala.) and Orrin Hatch (Utah) all criticized Trump for his decision that Obama-era rules allowing transgender troops to serve would be reversed.
McCain, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, ripped the call and said that Trump shouldn’t be making policy announcements via tweet.

Director Paul Feig called Trump’s decision “disgraceful,” while noted Trump-basher and actor Rob Reiner called the president a “hateful human being.”
Below is a roundup of the rage Hollywood stars sent toward President Trump in the wake of his announcement.

Just 23 Percent Of Voters Say Trans Enlistment Is Good For The Military
A Rasmussen survey taken last month found that just 23 percent of likely voters think the decision to allow openly transgender people to serve — a decision made by the Obama administration — is good for the military. Just under one-third of likely voters — 31 percent — think it’s bad for the military to allow openly transgender soldiers to serve, while another 38 percent thought it would have no impact.
President Trump defended the ban on the grounds that military policies should be oriented towards what’s best for winning wars.
“Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail,” he explained on Twitter Wednesday morning.

Combat Veteran: War Is No Place For The Gender Confused
In a tweet series, Salzman recounted his experiences in Iraq in 2006, when he was stationed at an isolated firebase in the blazing heat and experienced constant stress from the intense nature of his job.
“Everyday was Groundhog Day,” Salzman tweeted. “Wake up and do the same patrols, the same shifts, every single day. It was so damn hot. 150° in the gun trucks.”
“The stress of being out there and doing the same job every single day eats away at you,” Salzman said. “The younger guys had problems with that overtime.”
“After stepping on each other’s nuts living in the same can for five months, guys were at each other’s throats,” Salzman added. “The stress made it worse.”

The team is led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller, and four of the six attorneys on the team donated to the Democratic National Committee or Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, according to Axios.
The Senate Judiciary Committee announced in a press release Wednesday afternoon that Donald Trump, Jr. Paul Manafort and Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS have been “invited” to appear at a hearing to be held next Wednesday.

In a statement, McConnell said: “John McCain is a hero to our Conference and a hero to our country. He has never shied from a fight and I know that he will face this challenge with the same extraordinary courage that has characterized his life. The entire Senate family’s prayers are with John, Cindy and his family, his staff, and the people of Arizona he represents so well.”

I MENTIONED THE “MAINE PAIN” YESTERDAY

ONCE A POLITICIAN HAS SERVED A COUPLE TERMS HIS POSITION IS PRETTY MUCH GUARANTEED IN PERPETUITY. BOTH PARTIES HAVE DEPENDED ON THEIR VOTERS’ LOYALTY FOR DECADES. (THEY WOULDN’T DARE NOT VOTE FOR US, WOULD THEY?)

A homeowner in rural Glenoma in Lewis County got a big shock Monday morning when he awoke and found a stranger sitting at his kitchen table calmly eating a bowl of cereal. A few minutes later, the stranger found himself hog-tied along the roadside after he tried to flee.

Mitch McConnell no doubt breathed a sigh of relief when John McCain’s surgery gave him an excuse to postpone a vote on the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA). Now that Senators Rand Paul and Susan Collins have made it abundantly clear that no concession or reasonable argument will persuade them to do the right thing on Obamacare, every remaining GOP Senator has to support BCRA in order to get the bill passed. And it was by no means certain that McConnell had enough votes to accomplish that even with McCain present. Why? The GOP has become the party of poltroons.
GOP leadership hoped to vote on the bill this week, but Republicans need McCain to gain a majority as two GOP lawmakers have already come out against the revised draft. Moderate Sen. Susan Collins of Maine and conservative Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky both oppose the bill and have said they would not vote to even begin debate on the legislation. Six other Senators remain undecided.
The current path of the Senate bill has plenty of obstacles, including the sheer inertia of the ObamaCare status quo and the fact that no one has made the public case for the Republican legislation. But the effort also suffers from a mismatch between the longtime public posture of Republicans (ObamaCare must and will be fully repealed) and their private misgivings (do we really have to do this, even partially?).
ONE CONSTANT IN EVERY EFFORT TO REPLACE OR REPEAL THE HEALTHCARE ACT IS THE MAINE PAIN,FLOOZY SUSY COLLINS,WHO ONCE FORMED THE DYNAMIC DUO WITH OLYMPIA SNOWE.NOW SHE’S JUST THE BIGGEST RINO PAIN-IN-THE-ASS IN WASHINGTON.SHE HAS NEVER,TO MY KNOWLEDGE,VOTED WITH THE REPUBLICANS IF THERE WAS THE SLIGHTEST POLITICAL RISK INVOLVED.
President Donald J. Trump is calling on congressional Republicans to drop their failed efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare in one fell swoop and instead pass a clean repeal of the failed health care overhaul from the previous administration now and push through a bipartisan replacement plan later.
