The media are salivating over the possible rhetorical lynching of what some have called the presumptive(their words,not mine) republican opponent to Hillary!. I WILL find an appropriate term for this she-beast in the course of time.
Apparently one of his top aides ordered two lanes of the George Washington Bridge going into Ft. Lee closed for four days last fall. This was supposedly in retaliation for the democrat mayor of Ft. Lee not endorsing Christie in his reelection. There were massive backups and an ambulance was delayed getting to a hospital where the 91 year old patient died. There was no direct proof the traffic jam was the causal factor.
The media have been in full feeding frenzy all day,salivating at the chance to clear the way for the Butcher of Benghazi. They rejected out of hand his denial of any knowledge of this as readily as they accept every lie their idol spews about not knowing anything about anything.

First, a thought for the birthday of Elvis Aaron Presley. He would have been 79 years old today….had he not died on his toilet in a drug-induced stupor.

Do you think the GOP realizes that Tea Party patriots and regular conservatives are abandoning them in droves ? Or that we’ve had it with being lied to and watching the DC republicans help democrats in destroying everything we ever believed in? Scott Walker said we should stop fighting republicans and start fighting democrats. From where I sit,there’s hardly a dime’s worth of difference between them.
There has been much made so far of former Defense Secretary Robert Gates scathing indictment of Barry,Plugs and Cankles. That Obama only pretends to be interested in anything that doesn’t fit in with his quest for good times and self-aggrandizement is not a shock. People have pondered if this will harm Hillary! in any way. My thought is that their voters are mostly practitioners of political idolatry. They will vote for these lower life forms no matter what.

After a weekend there’s always so darn much stuff to get through.
Well,we’ll sally forth and do the best we can.
Those of you in more temperate climes give a kind thought to those of us in the ‘Polar Vortex.’
Never heard of it? The climate alarmists just made that up to blame the record cold on global warming. I live 70 miles northwest of Chicago and the actual temperature as of this posting,according to Yahoo news is -18. The wind chill is hovering about -45.
Question:what the hell did we do before they started calculating ‘wind chill factor’ to make you feel even worse than you already did? Back in the day,if it was cold,you bundled up before you went out. If you didn’t need to go out, YOU DIDN’T GO!!!!
Well,they say that exposed skin can be frostbitten in 15 minutes.Guess I’ll have to put off stripping to my skivvies and jogging a few miles.
I remember many a morning trying to start my Freightliner diesel truck and driving in a frigid cab all day. That damn thing was as cold-blooded as my ex-wife(well,maybe not THAT cold.) I went and delivered my papers today,mostly from the warmth of my car. Got home,enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and looked out over the field behind our house and said to myself: self,being retired ain’t all bad.

For their year-end show they had a bunch of unfunny leftist “comedians” on to mock…what else? Republicans. They showed a picture of Mitt Romney’s family with their newly-adopted black grandchild on Romney’s lap. All these ‘tolerant’ slugs saw was a shiny black face in a sea of white. They thought it was really funny joking about the little ‘token.’
Afterwards,a storm of outrage exploded all over the twitterverse about the crass insensitivity of this no-talent hack.
Fearing for her job,she offered this heartfelt “apology.”
At least she didn’t wear her trademark tampon earrings.
Right after her phony apology,Slate bitch Katrina Van Den Hateful sniffed:
“But I do think the right-wing populism of the tea party not only became so obsessed with an anti-government meme, but let’s be honest. There is a race … racism threaded through the right-wing populism, I mean which is not unusual to American right-wing populism, that has not allowed for coalitions that could be built on behalf of working people in this country against the most powerful interests.”

Yeah, the interesting thing about this is that they put the photo on the air even though they obviously didn’t have anything to say about it. Ostensibly it’s comic fodder for Harris-Perry’s panel of comedians to riff, but all they can muster is (1) hey, one of them looks different, (2) a Kardashian joke from MHP herself, and (3) a predictable dig at the GOP — which would have worked just as well as a dig at Obama’s 2012 campaign team, actually. It’s not that the photo’s inherently funny or that a white family adopting a black child is wrong — imagine them reacting to a photo of Tom Cruise with his adopted son — it’s that, I think, they felt they couldn’t let it go unremarked upon that the GOP’s last nominee seems happy to have a black child in his family. A lot of people who’d normally insist that race is nothing more than a social construct tend to get fidgety when a black child goes to live with a white family because it risks depriving him of his “authenticity.” Maybe that’s happening here, although I lean towards the “look at this Republican with a black kid!” gawk theory.
In other “all conservative thoughts spring from prejudice” news, apparently making fun of a grown man for wearing pajamas that a three-year-old would wear is proof of anti-Semitism.

Howard Kurtz wonders if MSNBC is being deliberately crude. When your ratings have hit rock bottom, the easy way for a TV network to revive your fortunes is to have your hosts deliberately create controversy, which generates social media buzz, which drives viewers to your network.
Is it possible all of these controversies at MSNBC over the last few months have been the result of company policy which encourages MSNBC personalities to be rude and crude?
Mitt Romney was on Fox News Sunday yesterday. As expected,he handled it with class.

I’m still having to check to see what day of the week it is. We’re buried in snow around here,the city and county are doing an abominable job plowing and it’s supposed to be below zero for the next few days. We’ll get through it,though. We always do.

Thought I’d throw a few things together. Enjoyed the replay of the Willie and Korie Robertson interview on Fox from last night. Unfortunately,I missed the two gay guys getting married on a float during the Rose Parade that was broadcast on several channels. The Encore Western Channel is running a Bat Masterson marathon starring Gene Barry all day today. Oh,well…life is full of disappointments. Thought I’d post a few things you might have missed while you were celebrating.

Had oldest daughter and her hubby and 4 kids over Saturday. It had been a long time since I had to feed young ‘uns. We ordered two x-large pizzas for supper,the four adults each had two pieces. The 4 chirrens,aged 8-12 descended on the rest like a swarm of grasshoppers in a wheat field. They left nothing but crumbs. DD said:’Try feeding this bunch every day.’ I politely begged off and gave thanks there’s just DW and I to worry about.
We have a big New Years Eve celebration planned: our annual steak dinner at a nice restaurant,no alcohol,home by 7:00 and in bed shortly after,since I work every morning. Then I will be left to ponder knowingly breaking the law for not signing up for O-care.I’m sure there’s other new laws I’m running afoul of. Oh,well.
There has been little news about Barry for over a week. When he says he doesn’t want to be disturbed while he’s kickin’ it,he don’t get disturbed. He’s just played a lot of golf and eaten food I could never afford. If something DID happen,he’d just put on a shirt and jacket,read some crap off the teleprompter and sound sincere and the media would swoon how he has such control over everything.
