Occasionally, I stumble across a web site claiming Obama is the Anti-Christ.  I’ve always thought he was certainly an anti-christ — i.e., someone willfully engaged in assisting the rise of the Evil One who will bring on the end of the world.  But Obama THE Anti-Christ?!  Oh please.  Tell me another one!

Delusional to the Bitter End

Barack Obama has 22 more days to wreak as much havoc as he possibly can. A man of character would be helping his successor with the transition of power. Not him. He came into office with a gigantic chip on his shoulder and a fire in his belly to inflict as much pain as he could because of America’s wealth and power. His eight-year reign of terror has been a non-stop crusade to weaken the US, embarrass us internationally, and crush the American spirit through taxes and executive orders when a republican majority in the House and Senate would shun complicity in our destruction. He has packed the courts, declared huge swaths of land off limits for energy exploration, released more than a thousand felons, and is desperately trying to empty Gitmo before he leaves. It is certain he will issue many more pardons on his last day and will not go quietly. The Enslaved Press will allow him to pontificate about everything Trump does. He’s already convinced himself if the economy improves, he did that. People like him are so far out of touch with reality they are beyond rational thought.

The Bears Ears National Monument in Utah will cover 1.35 million acres in the Four Corners region, the White House announced Wednesday. In a victory for Native American tribes and conservationists, the designation protects land that is considered sacred and is home to an estimated 100,000 archaeological sites, including ancient cliff dwellings.
In Nevada, a 300,000-acre Gold Butte National Monument outside Las Vegas would protect a scenic and ecologically fragile area near where rancher Cliven Bundy led an armed standoff with government agents in 2014. It includes rock art, artifacts, rare fossils and recently discovered dinosaur tracks.
The White House and conservationists said both sites were at risk of looting and vandalism.

From the start of Fiscal Year 2017, Oct. 1 2016 through Dec. 27, a total of 25,671 refugees have been resettled in the United States — little over 290 refugees per day. During that same time period in 2015, 13,791 refugees were resettled, almost 157 per day. The Obama administration resettled nearly 85,000 refugees in FY2016 and the White House is on pace to resettle nearly double that amount.

There’s a problem with this, which is that the Supreme Court ruled in 2014 that Obama had no right to make recess appointments to the Labor Relations Board (in 2012) while the Senate was in pro forma session. But Kilgore suggests there is a way around this. In involves making the appointments in the seconds between the end of one Senate session and the beginning of the next one:

Cabin Fever Settling In

Surfing the interwebs yesterday I came across a site that had Wisconsin fishing guides listed. There were several quite close to where I live who guide on the many lakes and rivers of Southeast Wisconsin. I’m considering several trips with RJ and my longtime fishing buddy. He has a boat, but the idea is to have a guide take you on a body of water you’re not familiar with, then you can go back on your own and have an idea where some good spots are. Lake Delavan is over 2,000 acres and Lake Geneva is over 5,000. That’s a lot of water to cover when you only have a short time. I contacted one guide through his Facebook page who is a Marine veteran and is also an EMT and has two other men who guide with him. He started fishing with his grandfather so he understands why I want to make some memories with RJ that he can share with his sons when I’m gone. It will only be about 4 agonizing months before ice out up North. I guess I’ll just have to wait until then.

Tuesday Edition

Oldest daughter and her family came over to celebrate Christmas with us. My dear grandson and fishing buddy RJ walked through the door and I said: ‘Oh,hell,no!’ I hadn’t seen him since we went fishing back in September. He’s grown about 2″ and is now almost 5’11” and wears a size 12 shoe. He’s 13, and won’t be 14 until August. His dad’s whole family, including the women, are all very tall. I plan to hire a fishing guide in the spring to take us out on a lake in Southeast Wisconsin (there are a number of good ones) and I showed him some of their websites. We plan to fish for panfish like crappies and bluegills, since they are school fish and you can catch a lot of them if they’re biting. He doesn’t care as long as he’s with his grandpa. His stepdad hasn’t fished since he was a kid and one guide has a 21ft bass boat that can seat 4. The guide supplies all the tackle and the bait and will clean and fillet your catch. It might be fun to take my son-in-law along, just for fun.

Not all the consequences are clear. But one thing seems true: the election of President-elect Trump has put the kibosh on two projects long pursued by American elites, the entitlement reform sought by conservative elites and the measures to address climate change sought by liberal elites.

Obama’s agenda is crystal clear

We knew it was a major mistake when Barack Obama prematurely removed our troops from Iraq and time has proven we were right.  If we had stayed, as the military said we should, ISIS wouldn’t have had a chance in Iraq.  

The people of Iraq would have been safe and secure and America would have had a democratic ally and a base of operations in the Middle East.  Instead, we have ISIS in Iraq.

As Bartella’s priest, Father Yaqub Saadi, said, “We are here to challenge the sons of darkness and this is why we held this Mass here. ISIS are sons of darkness. This is a message to the entire world that we Christians … are the inherent component of this country and we are staying.”

Now that Obama has sabotaged Israel at the United Nations, there should be no question in anyone’s mind that his foreign policy agenda is and always has been NOT to secure the safety of America and her democratic allies, but to encourage, arm, and pave a pathway for the rise of fanatical Muslim radicals around the world.

Satan can appear as an angel of light and make any sort of sin seem perfectly reasonable.  But Jesus told us we could recognize him and his comrades by their fruits.

During his farewell press conference, President Obama claimed that, “Since I signed Obamacare into law (in 2010), our businesses have added more than 15 million new jobs.”

Reality check, Mr. Lame Duck President.  Only 10 million new jobs were created during your eight years in office and 94% of them were TEMPORARY POSITIONS.

The disappearance of conventional full-time work has punished every demographic, but FEMALE-dominated jobs — like education and medicine — were particularly hard hit.

Dealing with the Secular

In this, the holiest time of the year, people of faith gather family and friends close to share fellowship and celebrate the life of the only One who was without sin. In March of 2013 I was taken to the hospital and spent nine days being tended to by some incredible people. Years of abuse had taken its toll. I have severe emphysema, Type II diabetes, a pacemaker for an irregular heartbeat, and sleep apnea so severe I can’t sleep without a machine. After 40 years of smoking cigarettes I stopped cold turkey. It was time. CHRIST is the reason for this season of love and joy. Secularists are missing the Spirit and busy themselves with things of this world. Obama got a pass

They said he was “the smartest man in any room.”  Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

In 2008, then-Candidate Obama said on the campaign trail that he had visited “57” states with one more to go.  VP Dan Quayle got roasted endlessly for once misspelling potato with an e.  At least potato has an e on it when it’s plural.  At no time has the United States ever had more than 50 states.

In 2009, President Obama made a speech in Austria in which he lamented not knowing what the term for “wheeling and dealing” was in Austrian.  There is no such language as Austrian.  The people of Austria speak German.

In 2009, President Obama said the Constitution was written “20 centuries ago.”  The United States was founded a little more than 200 years ago, which is two centuries, not 20.

In 2010, during the National Prayer Breakfast speech, President Obama referred to a Navy Corpsman as CORPSE-MAN … three times!  It’s CORE-MAN.  The P and S are silent, but hey, why should we expect the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to know something like that?

In 2011, President Obama gave a speech in which he noted, “We’re the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad.”  Someone needs to explain to Obama that railroads don’t cross oceans.  We are the nation that built the Transcontinental Railroad.

In 2012, President Obama said that business owners didn’t build their businesses.  If there’s one thing we can be certain of, it’s that President Obama has never built a business. He’s barely ever even worked for one.

In 2013, President Obama repeated many times that people needn’t fear Obamacare because, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.”  Politifact voted Obama’s line the “2013 Lie of the Year”, because millions lost their health care plans due to Obamacare, something we all knew would happen.

In 2014, Obama praised Aretha Franklin, including her world-renowned song, which he called, “R-S-P-E-C-T.”  Can someone please buy the president a vowel?

In 2016, Iran held American hostages on a runway until a plane full of $400 million in cash arrived and was paid to them in exchange for the hostages.  On August 4, President Obama said, “We do not pay ransom. We didn’t here, and we won’t in the future.”  Riiiiiight.  That exchange of money for release of prisoners was just a what …. ?  I got nothing.
