Louisiana Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu is facing a runoff election on Dec. 6 against Republican Dr. Bill Cassidy. Her hopes are so slim, the national Dems have pulled their funding and ads.
On Thursday, Landrieu tried to gain some traction at a press conference in front of a Veterans Affairs medical facility, where she yammered about how she got federal money for Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, while Cassidy allegedly didn’t lift a finger to help Louisianans.
Standing in front of a VA Medical Center construction site, Landrieu called Cassidy “wishy-washy, unreliable, undependable, not sure who he is, not sure who he was and not sure who he wants to be.” Landrieu followed up her finger wagging with a hashtag campaign #WhereWasBill.
Cassidy responded:
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Bill Cassidy led a group of health care volunteers to convert an abandoned K-Mart building into an emergency health care facility, providing basic health care to victims of the natural disaster.
We had no way to predict what people coming out of New Orleans were going to need. My physician group didn’t have emergency preparedness responsibilities, so we made a lot of this stuff up as we went along.
The old K Mart we were to use had been abandoned for about eight years. It was filthy. There was no electricity, no air conditioning and no windows.
We had doctors and nurses step up to design the facility. I asked my friend the insurance guy to be the volunteer coordinator because insurance guys always know everyone. Around 150 people from two churches showed up with mops and brooms to help clean. An electrician got the power up in 24 hours. We created four to five wards holding 30 cots each.
Trucks arrived with $5 million worth of medical supplies, but no packing lists were included. We had I.V. bags but no poles. We had cots but no crash cart. Our volunteers found EKG machines, printers–someone even got a new Honda delivered. Physicians showed up from as far away as Iowa. By the time patients arrived, we had beds, lights, generators, computers and volunteers to play with children, provide transportation and reconnect families.
We saw fatigue, dehydration, emotional trauma and illnesses like diabetes and asthma made worse by the patients’ experience. The shelters wouldn’t take newborns, so we took mamas and their babies. It was the most amazing thing. We never got the volume we braced for, but we were ready–in 26 hours.
In 1998, Dr. Bill Cassidy helped found the Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic to provide uninsured residents of the greater Baton Rouge area with access to free health care. The Clinic provides low-income families free dental, medical, mental health and vision care through an innovative “virtual” approach that partners needy patients with doctors who provide care free of charge.
Landrieu is one of the most conservative Democrats in the Senate, at times opposing her party’s positions, yet she voted in support of President Obama’s positions 97% of the time in 2013, which should tell you all you need to know about what “conservative Democrat” means.

The buzz words the LSM has apparently agreed on is that this was a “Seinfeld election” (Seinfeld show’s premise was “a show about nothing.”) President Obama said it wasn’t a “true national election.” Ooooooooooooookay. Funny how after Obama won a single primary, it was “the day the oceans began to recede.”
I guess when you vote with your little brains instead of your big brains, you can actually believe people like Joe Biden and Chris Matthews are wise and truthful prognosticators of reality.
Far from being a nothing election, some of Tuesday’s wins were actually historic. Come January 2015, the GOP will have the most seats since the Truman administration. In those seats will be the first female war veteran ever elected, Iowa’s and West Virginia’s first female Senators, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, the first Black Republican woman ever elected to Congress, and the first Black Senator elected in the South since Reconstruction. Odd how they’re all Republicans, what with, you know, Democrats being soooooo all about advancing Blacks and Wimmin. Or something.
Dems famously opined in January 2007 that NOW they would have a chance to GOVERN. Well, they’ve proved they can’t and in the process lost their traditional guilt-and-hate-hold on voters-with-brains. Dem candidates, like Mark Udall, Wendy Davis and Sandra Fluke, who all got a lot of positive MSM national press for their Uterine Campaigns ALL LOST. And when Democrat Martha Coakely prefaced a debate question to her opponent Republican Tom Reed with, “As part of the war on women,” the studio audience spontaneously burst into LAUGHTER.
Even Billary lost big! According to the left-leaning Politico, Bill and Hillary Clinton were the most sought-after campaigners this election season. “In the final weeks of the campaign, nearly every endangered Democrat brought [Bill and Hillary Clinton] along on the stump – from Kay Hagan in North Carolina to Mary Landrieu in Louisiana, Mark Udall in Colorado to Mark Pryor in Arkansas. But it was an overwhelming wipeout — of the Clinton-backed candidates in the closest Senate races, only [Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H.] hung on.”
According to Harry Reid, “The message from voters is clear: they want us to work together. I look forward to working with Senator McConnell to get things done for the middle class.” Scott Ott at PJ Media wrote:
No, Senator Reid. Americans don’t want Washington to “work together” to “get things done.”
If Americans were tired of divisiveness in D.C., and frustrated with the failure to work together to pass legislation, Democrats would have swept Tuesday’s midterm elections. They did not.
If Americans wanted to get back to the good old days of the Clinton administration, they would have supported the candidates who Bill and Hillary backed. In the crucial Senate races in Georgia, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, North Carolina (and others), they did not.
Americans would have returned Harry Reid to the Senate majority leader’s chair, with a filibuster-proof Democratic majority, if they yearned to…
pack the courts with abortion advocates, or
hold onto their Obamacare health plan, or
yield their children to compulsory Common Core curricula, or
slap down corporations through higher taxes, or
muzzle the voice of the Koch brothers, or
protect the bureaucrats who snoop on and target us, or
put that hinkle dreck Netanyahu in his place. (Apologies to my Pennsylvania Dutch and Jewish brethren.)They did not do that, because they do not want that.
In Iowa, the Joni Ernst for Senate campaign caught fire when she implied she would castrate Democrats and their cronies in D.C. — figuratively, of course.
If America wanted nothing more than peace in the D.C. pigpen, Joni would be headed home.
Instead, Senator-elect Ernst is pulling on her Carhartts and snapping on the latex gloves.
As Pistol Pete put it … “The Republicans were not elected to change the tone in DC. They weren’t elected to work with Obama to get things done. They were elected to STOP OBAMA!”

The first nine (and the graphic) are from the geniuses at Cain TV and Diogenes Middle Finger. The tenth is from U.S. Government sources and will be of special interest to those of you in military families:
As we all get ready to head to the polls tomorrow, Democrats want you focused on the Koch brothers (that evil fang-toothed fictionalized version, not the real ones who are excellent and highly successful businessmen) and their “war on women” crapola.
What they do not want you focused on is the data that shows what failures they have been leading this nation. Many people do not even know the facts I’m about to share, because the mainstream media do not report them. So read them and share them with nine friends who are going to vote tomorrow. It just might help decide whether Harry Reid remains in control of the Senate or is sent to the back bench where he belongs. (Actually that’s not where he belongs, but I’ll not get into that now.)
Ten facts Democrats do not want to talk about:
1. Sluggish economic growth. Yes, we’ve had a couple of strong quarters, but annualized growth throughout the Obama presidency has been less than 2 percent. That is horrendous.
2. Median income is down $3,000 per household since Obama took office. Astonishing.
3. The labor participation rate is down from 67 percent to 62 percent, which makes the published unemployment rate look much better than it really is. The U6 rate, which includes those who have given up looking for work, remains over 10 percent.
4. More part-time jobs have been created than full-time jobs in last six years.
5. The home ownership rate is down from 67 percent to 64 percent.
6. Taxes went up when the Bush tax cuts were allowed to expire. Liberals will say that’s fine because they only went up on the rich. I say the government did what it too often does and chose to target producers and opportunity creators.
7. ObamaCare is a failure! More people are losing their insurance than are becoming newly insured, and 51 percent of those enrolled in the exchanges say they will not re-up given the opportunity the next time around. Then there are the 29ers (people being limited to 29 hours a week because of ObamaCare mandates) and the 49ers (not the San Francisco ones . . . the businesses intentionally staying under 50 employees to avoid the coverage mandate). There are also thousands of doctors refusing patients with ObamaCare coverage because they can’t cover their costs on the reimbursements, while thousands more doctors are retiring early.
8. The national debt has exceeded $17 trillion for the first time in U.S. history. Remember when Obama declared as a senator that running up debt was unpatriotic? Um. Yeah.
9. From the Middle East to Eastern Europe to Russia to Britain to the Falkland Islands to Latin America to Mexico to the Far East, our foreign policy is a muddled mess. Shockingly to Obama the rest of the world did not conform to his global ideals just because he gave speeches saying they should.
10. Twice as many U.S. military deaths have happened in the Middle East under Obama’s watch in half the time as under President Bush’s. This happened despite aggressive campaigning by Obama against the war in Iraq, promoting him as the bringer of peace to the region, a foreign policy prodigy and the savior of U.S. service men and women.
Please keep these facts in mind as you vote tomorrow.

Generic Congressional Ballots and Pundit Predictions:
Bwahahaha! The 10th congressional district of Illinois was gerrymandered by state Democrats to make it virtually impossible for a Republican to win. Veteran political analyst Larry J. Sabato of the University of Virginia just switched his guess for the race between incumbent Democrat Brad Schneider and Republican Bob Dold from “Toss-up” to “Leans Republican.” http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/10/30/Shock-Gerrymandered-Chicago-District-Leans-Republican
Okay, so it’s not all fun and games. There are multiple reports of election machines that switch votes and the Dems have a long history of using absentee ballots and illegals to vote fraudulently. Harry Reid and his cronies spew about the Koch Brothers “buying” elections, while they themselves outspend Republicans by millions. And then there’s this piece of RACIST TRASH, the DNC Comms Director, who REFUSES to denounce the shameful tactics Dems are using in Georgia, Arkansas and North Carolina.

Hillary’s mouth is moving again and we all know what that means. Last week, she swore that businesses and corporations don’t create jobs, something so ridiculous, she had “clarify” her remark days later. Now she’s in Iowa campaigning for Bruce Braley saying that if Jodi Ernst is elected, women will lose access to mammograms, which is only slightly less absurd than the NARAL ad claiming that Cory Gardner will totally ban condoms.
NARAL ad: Cory Gardner will ban condoms
Do these people not know how our government works or do they just think their voter base is that stupid? Oh wait … maybe their voter base is that stupid. That’s depressing. Or maybe they’re just that desperate. As one tweeter said, “The Dems are starting to throw poo….. It’s all they have left.”
In an interview with NBC News, Landrieu threw her whole state under the racist bus: “I’ll be very, very honest with you. The South has not always been the friendliest place for African-Americans. It’s been a difficult time for the president to present himself in a very positive light as a leader.”
It can’t be a color thing, can it? I mean … Landrieu’s own governor is the same shade of brown that Obama is. Maybe it’s the kinky hair they hate? But that wouldn’t be racism. That would be texturism. Or something.
Bobby Jindal took Landrieu to task and rightly so.
But … good news! There is one guy in the U.S. who is NOT getting his panties in a bunch about the fact that he is definitely NOT going to win any elections next week.

Democrats have long coasted on the idea that Republicans were all rich white guys, so obviously, if you want to support women, minorities and working class stiffs, you should avoid the GOP like Ebola. But here is just one of many congressional races that defies these memes. The Democrat is the rich white guy who met his white wife in law school, while the Republican is a younger, working class stiff whose wife is a naturalized citizen from Colombia. Oops.
