Obama Democrats: The Job Killers

JOBS 2013_08 Which clown is really responsible for low wages

The list of large employers cutting jobs and hours because of Obamacare is up to 258 with no signs of stopping.

Even the Ø’drooling president of the AFL-CIO has admitted employers are “restructuring their workforce” because of the negative impacts of Obamacare.

Syria: Blind Liberal Support for Obama

Seeing the Left’s new found appreciation for military action is somewhere between infuriating and hilarious. Kind of infurilarious.

The Liberal Catechism

CASE IN POINT: Sally Kohn supports military action in Syria cuz … Obama!

2013_08 30 Sally Kohn supports war on Syria 1

Tweet responses:

  • Sudden hawk now that a (D) is President -> @sallykohn
  • Kohn’s truth: I was against the war in Iraq because we had a Republican president.
  • Hey @SallyKohn, did Saddam’s son’s rape rooms count as an atrocity? Asking for a friend.
  • We won in Iraq. If it was about oil, then why am I paying so much for gas?

2013_08 30 Sally Kohn supports war on Syria 2

  • Community of nations? Bush had 48 countries + a UNSC resolution + the US Congress. Obama has the French.
  • What about the men, women & children Saddam gassed & buried in mass-graves? Do they count?
  • Shorter @sallykohn: “Raining hellfire on a Middle Eastern country is ‘Robust Humanitarianism’ if Obama does it.”

After an hour of getting trash tweeted with her blatant hypocrisy, Kohn sent this out:

  • What’s so blurry about “robust humanitarianism”?
  • Sally Kohn’s hypocrisy is stunning. But not surprising.
  • I would say that her hypocrisy is more expected than stunning.

Who is Sally Kohn?

Sally Kohn is a liberal political commentator, community organizer, and founder and chief education officer of the Movement Vision Lab, a grassroots think tank. Kohn is an unpaid contributor for the Fox News Channel, and writes for publications like Huffington Post, The Washington Post and USA Today. She and her partner, Sarah Hansen, have a 3 year old daughter.

Syria Update

August 28: Syria

  • Obama admitted publicly that U.S. intelligence has concluded the Syrian government used chemical WMDs on civilians last week.
  • Obama plans to ignore the fact that he couldn’t get U.N. approval for an attack on Syria, because Russia opposes it.
  • The Navy has moved a second aircraft carrier into the Gulf.

Obama said the White House will brief top congressional leaders this afternoon about Obama’s plans for a possible military strike.

Democrat and Republican members of Congress reminded Obama that just consulting with or informing Congress is not good enough to make military action legal.

Under the provisions of the War Powers Resolution (WPR), the President is required to notify Congress within 48 hours of the onset of US military involvement. They then have 60 days to get formal authorization from Congress and if they fail to do so must cease operations within 30 days.

Obama is unlikely to give a crap what Congress thinks or the Constitution says. In 2011, he ordered American warplanes into action over Libya without seeking authorization from Congress before or after.

The New York Times, the usual leakhole of Obama Inc, quoted officials describing a limited one or two day campaign that would degrade Assad’s ability to launch chemical weapons, without forcing him out of power. That might be true, but then again no less a figure than Barack H. Obama had promised that the Libyan intervention would last “days, not weeks”. It lasted months, not weeks, let alone days.

Meanwhile, Obama reportedly told several mayors that he would by-pass Congress to get more gun control.

Obama’s lawyer admitted the birth certificate was a forgery

Birth certificate forged

This not only happened in open court, but also it happened nearly 18 months ago.

In March 2012, Obama’s right to be on the New Jersey ballot was challenged in court. During the hearing, Obama’s lawyer ADMITTED that the “birth certificate” the White House put on-line was a forgery!

Yet he ended up on the ballot anyway.

Little wonder Barack Obama and the Democratic Party do not fear mocking the American people with their blatant lies and manipulation of the Constitution.

Nobody is holding them accountable!

On and after election day, there were TENS of THOUSANDS of reports of voter fraud and vote tampering from across the country, yet nothing has been done.

Do you remember back in 2000 when Al Gore challenged the results in a single section of Florida? It was top news headlines for weeks, everyone in the country learned what a “chad” was and the whole thing ended up in the Supreme Court, which found in Bush’s favor and Democrats whine TO THIS DAY that Republicans “stole” the election.

Yet here we are, twelve years later, and everyone is IGNORING the fact that Republican poll watchers in critical districts in swing states were physically barred from entering the polling stations where they’d been assigned until AFTER the easy-to-spoof electronic voting machines had been set up and put into use.

The only thing missing is the white hoods. The KKK interfered with REPUBLICAN voting too.

Charity

True charity is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. God told us:

“There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.” -Deuteronomy 15:11

Openhandedness is personal. It’s not about voting for Democrats who promise to pay for social welfare programs by ever higher taxes on other people’s income.

Now look … I am NOT saying all Republicans are good Christians. I’m not even saying all Republicans are good Republicans.

What I am saying is … if you are a Democrat who yearns to know, love and serve the Lord fully, you need to get down to the registrar of voters and uncheck that D … cuz as sure as I’m sitting here,

YOU CAN NOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND THE DNC.

“Phony” scandals?

Please lecture us about phony scandals

No matter how “phony” Obama may believe the Benghazi, IRS, (etc. etc. etc.) scandals are or how biased his lapdog media is in reporting on them, the American public can tell that Democrats are doing a crap job in Washington.

Before the federal government can pass a law, it must be passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate, then signed by the President. At any given time, 2/3 or 3/3 are controlled by either Republicans or Democrats. The dominant controlling party obviously has the most power over what laws get passed and thus bears the majority of the responsibility for how well the government serves the people.

As you can see from this graphic, trust in government has been strongly correlated with which party this is. When Democrats have been in control, trust has fallen and distrust has risen. When Republicans have been in control, the opposite has been true.

Note: The dominant 2/3 or 3/3 party is in pale colors under the poll results. The breakdown is in dark colors at the bottom.

Democrats: Out of Touch with America

Reality Check Ahead

OBAMACARE: Nancy Pelosi described ObamaCare (The Affordable Care Act) as something that “captures the spirit of our founders” and will “put money back in the pockets of America’s patients” (WSJ, House.gov). POLLS show:

Only 37% have a favorable view of the law, down 9 points from a minority of 46% who approved of it at the time the Democrat-controlled Congress voted it into law. Meanwhile, Obama is spending money we don’t have to drum up support for this law that was passed more than four years ago, yet was so bad the very Congress that passed it went and exempted itself from.

RACE RELATIONS: When George Zimmerman was acquitted, Obama and many Democrat leaders said the nation needed to have an “honest discussion about race.” POLLS showed:

Only 35% of Americans agreed.

ECONOMY: In his latest series of speeches on the economy this summer, President Obama has insisted that “America has fought its way back” and has already “recovered” (LA Times). POLLS show:

Only 28% of Americans believe the U.S. economy is recovering.

ABORTION: Democrats are more pro-abortion than ever. In the 2012 election cycle, their TV ads were filled with pro-choice messaging, abortion rights activists were main speakers at the DNC, and the head of Planned Parenthood even introduced President Obama at a campaign rally (Politico).

Only 15% of Americans believe abortion is morally acceptable.

36% don’t know or don’t care about the morality of abortion.

49% believe abortion is morally wrong.

Some thoughts on being an American Catholic

I am and always have been Catholic because I believe the doctrines and I am certain it is where God wants me to be. It hasn’t been easy maintaining affiliation with a church that, in far too many respects, has been a spiritual desert, but it’s where God put me, not only by birth but also by election.

One of the most distressing things for me has been the overly-long commitment of American Catholics to the Democrat Party. I understand the roots … when Catholic immigrants were flooding our shores, Republicans were Protestant and openly hostile. And of course there’s the not-so-saintly Kennedys.

But dang. Even after having been raised from birth to college in a devoutly Democrat environment, I managed to figure out before the Reagan years that Democrats were promoting abortion. I have tried to understand my Democrat Catholic friends. Some of them are legitimately devout. Yet they turn a blind eye to abortion because “social justice” … or something.

I just don’t get it. Never did.

If there’s been one thing I am grateful for about the Obama years, it is that so many Catholics have finally opened their eyes to just how anti-God and evil the Democrat Party really is. FINALLY, I’ve got leaders in my church that not only don’t make me cringe, but who actually teach and preach and walk the walk!

I just read a news report that Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence, Rhode Island, has announced he switched his party registration to Republican effective January 2013. He has been a Democrat since 1969, but after the 2012 Democrat Convention, he decided that he could no longer be associated with the party which was “just too pro-abortion.” During an interview about his decision, he called opposition to abortion “the linchpin, the foundation, around which all our discussion of human life has to be built.”

I just want to smack him upside the head and ask him, “HEY, CAPTAIN KOOLAID!! WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN THINKING ALL THESE YEARS?!”

2012?! 2012?!?!?!

I registered Democrat in 1972 and figured out by 1976 that I had to leave because it was plain as the nose on my face that abortion was and is THE social justice issue of the century. This guy is a professional Christian and it took him from 1969 to 2012?! And they made him a Bishop?!

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

On the other side of the coin are two Catholic leaders I really admire and respect, Archbishop Chaput and Pope Francis. Here are quotes from them that I gleaned from the internet this week.

Pope Francis and frosting
