Woman Allegedly Tried To Run GOP Congressman Off The Road Over His Vote To Repeal Obamacare

A woman in Tennessee was accused of chasing a GOP congressman in her car and then screaming at him after she allegedly became upset over his vote to repeal and replace Obamacare, police told BuzzFeed News on Friday.

Wendi L. Wright, 35, was arrested and charged with felony reckless endangerment for the incident that occurred in Weakley County on Monday.

Wright allegedly followed a car occupied by Tennessee Rep. David Kustoff and two others on a highway and placed them “in fear of being forced off” the road, according to the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a video of the incident obtained by Campus Reform, an unknown student reacted to a street preacher’s pro-Trump sign by spiraling into a two-minute fit, at some points even splattering paint on the ground in an apparent attempt at artistic protest.
At certain points throughout the video, passers-by stop to ask the woman if she’s alright, to which she seems to indicate that she’s screaming as a form of protest.

NYPD cops forbidden from breaking up noisy parties
A new NYPD directive forbids cops from entering a residence in response to a noise complaint — unless they’re given permission.

The bizarre constraint is the result of costly, successful lawsuits against the city by homeowners who complained that cops barged onto their properties without a warrant, multiple sources told The Post.

“Parties will go into early morning, which will involve more drinking and neighbors getting into fights, resulting in more shootings,” noted another law enforcement source.

Keeping Promises

On Wednesday, President Trump signed an executive order giving his Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, about a year to prepare a report on areas within the federal Department of Education that infringe on state and local education decisions and need to be eliminated.

“We know that local communities do it best and know it best,” Trump said.  “The time has come to empower teachers and parents to make the decisions that help their students achieve success.”

Students vote to give blacks free tuition at Western Kentucky University
The school’s Student Government Association passed a resolution by 19-10 supporting slavery reparations for black students in the form of free tuition and free access to the public Bowling Green campus.
The resolution also recommends that the university create a task force to “assess the feasibility of test-optional admissions and geographically-weighted admissions,” claiming that some standardized testing poses a disadvantage for needy students and perpetuates inequality and “white supremacy,” The Bowling Green Daily News reported.
“We demand reparations for the systemic denial of access to high quality educational opportunities in the form of full and free access for all black people (including undocumented, currently and formerly incarcerated people to Western Kentucky University),” the resolution reads, according to the Daily News.

Liberty Counsel, a nonprofit litigation group that promotes religious freedom, in a letter to Hillsborough County Public Schools Superintendent Jeff Eakins detailed math teacher Lora Jane Riedas’ actions.
The letter claims Riedas told at least three students they could not wear their Christian crosses.

During the summer of 2012, Chick-Fil-A founder Dan Cathy was quoted in the Baptist Press as saying he was “guilty as charged” when it came to believing in the biblical definition of the family unit.

Since then, the Left has engaged in anti-Chick-Fil-A boycotts, vandalism, performance art, viral freak-outs, and even an attempted mass shooting.

The latest absurdity comes from the student government at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh which fears that Chick-fil-A’s plan to open an outlet on campus will put students’ campus “safe space” at risk.

Meanwhile, another defender of the biblical family unit, Vice President Mike Pence, is scheduled to deliver the commencement address at Notre Dame next month.  Some students are protesting, saying he makes them “feel unsafe.”

Brit Hume tweeted: “Before long, these children will have to live in the real world.”

To which American Pie tweeted: “Can you imagine having to HIRE one of these emotional idiots? I shudder to think. Employers will need a ‘snowflake’ filter.”

This gave me an idea for job interviewers everywhere who want to avoid hiring snowflakes, without taking the risk of asking questions that could get them sued.

Plant some Chick-Fil-A bags in the trash can.

This simple device should trigger visible anxiety in anyone you really don’t want to hire by accident.

Coaches at Cromwell High School are thrilled with freshman Andraya Yearwood, whose speed compared to biological girls makes the student a star.

Andraya clocked times of 11.99 seconds and 26.34 seconds in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, respectively, during the first meet of the season. Both times resulted in a first-place win.

“I have a spectacular female athlete,” coach Brian Calhoun told the Hartford Courant. “There’s nothing more to say. To approach it in any other way might create some sort of issue or conversation.”

Researcher: Teachers Should Allow Ebonics Because English Grammar Is Too Hard For Minorities To Learn

To avoid any hurt feelings some people may feel by attempting to speak standard, correct English, Gallagher wants to eradicate the stigma associated with Ebonics — or African–American Vernacular English, a nonstandard dialect of English spoken by some black people.

“I want to center the voices of the people who need to be centered,” Gallagher, a participant in the UW-Madison writing fellows program, told The Daily Cardinal. “As a white-passing person, I have a lot of power and privilege that should be shared.”

Happy birthday to a great American

Booker T. Washington was born on April 5, 1856, the illegitimate son of a black slave and a white plantation owner. Following emancipation, he worked his way through school, eventually becoming a teacher. In 1881, at the age of 25, he helped to found the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama, a college for training black teachers.

Washington devoted his life to improving the lives of black Americans through education and vocational training, with a strong emphasis on teaching the life skills they would need to gain social acceptance, overcome white racism, and lead productive lives. He was often criticized by other black civil rights leaders of his time who found his style too understated and insufficiently confrontational. Washington’s formula for success for black Americans — education, thrift, and hard work — is what many black kids nowadays dismiss as “acting white.”

Booker T. Washington said:

“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.”

And:

“No greater injury can be done to any youth than to let him feel that because he belongs to this or that race he will be advanced in life regardless of his own merits or efforts.”

And:

“There’s a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. … Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well because as long as the disease holds out, they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”

Washington wrote fourteen books, including an autobiography, Up From Slavery, which was published in 1901. He was instrumental in raising the funds for and helping to establish thousands of educational institutions for blacks throughout the south. He remained head of the Tuskegee Institute until his death in 1915, at which time Tuskegee’s endowment had grown to more than $1.5 million, due largely to his efforts.
