Numbers not good for Obama Democrats

I think the following poll numbers make it crystal clear that all we need to do is identify what a voter’s hot button issues are and show him or her the relevant facts.

GENERAL

Rasmussen national polls of Likely Voters

July 1, 2012: Is the country better off today than it was four years ago?

Yes 30% vs. No 60% vs. Not sure 10%

July 6, 2012: How would you rate Obama’s handling of economic issues?

Good 31% vs. Poor 48% vs. Not sure 21%

Check out the “squeamish about racism” factor in the two questions above. The Yes/Good group is virtually identical. But when the question mentions Obama personally, 11% of the No voters jump into the Not Sure category.

June 11, 2012: The next president will likely be …

Democrat 25% vs. Republican 60% vs. Not sure 15%

When Obama first took office, 44% thought a Republican would replace him.

UNION

Gallup poll of Registered Voters

June 11, 2012: If the election was today, who would you vote for:

Union members: Obama 57% vs. Romney 35%

2008 Election

Union members: Obama 59% vs. McCain 39%

Currently, only about 12% of employed voters are union members. In 2008, 21% of voters reported coming from union households.

BLACKS

Public Policy Polling surveys of Blacks in North Carolina

If the election were today, who would you vote for?

May 2012: Obama 87% vs. Romney 11% vs. 2% Undecided

June 2012: Obama 76% vs. Romney 20% vs. 4% Undecided

Election 2008: About 13% of voters were Black. 95% of them voted for Obama.

JEWS

Siena College polls of New York Jews

May 2012: Obama Support 62% vs. Oppose 32%

June 2012: Obama Support 51% vs. Oppose 43%

June 2012: America is on the right track 31% vs. headed in the wrong direction 62%

OBAMA’S IDEOLOGICAL BASE

Rasmussen poll of Adult Americans

July 5, 2012: Are you proud of America?

No 7% vs. Yes 84% vs. Meh 9%

Obama’s “Betting on America” tour

Obama spent July 5 and 6 tooling around Ohio in his Canadian-made bus telling everyone how Very Committed He Is to Economic Growth and Job Creation for Americans.

Click on graphic to embiggen.

Ohio is an important swing state. Obama won it in 2008 by 4%. A recent Quinnipiac poll claimed he is ahead of Romney 47% to 38% among Registered Voters in Ohio. But I compared the poll samples with Gallup’s Party Affiliation poll and found a significant skew.

                        Quin    Gallup

Democrat        34%     30%

Republican     26%     30%

Independent    34%    39%

Meh                     6%        1%

I also found a somewhat older, but specific-to-Ohio poll at Gallup that, with leaners, showed Ohio at:

Democrat 42.5% vs. Republican 41.2% vs. 16.3% Neither.

I looks to me like Quinnipiac gave Democrats a totally unrealistic 8 point advantage! No WAY is Obama leading Romney by nine points. Sheesh.

Look what happens when Quinnipiac’s results are adjusted to line up with Gallup’s numbers.

Q. Vote for Obama   47% – 4% = 43%

Gallup: Ohio Democrat                 42.5%

Q. Vote for Romney   38% + 4% = 42%

Gallup:  Ohio Republican               41.2%

Q. Other, Undecided, Wouldn’t Vote   15%

Gallup Ohio Neither Party Preference 16.3%

Isn’t it interesting how closely the adjusted numbers match Gallup’s 2011 numbers?

Now check out what Rasmussen found when they polled Likely Voters in Ohio recently.

                 April    May

Obama   46%     44%

Romney  42%    46%

Neither    12%    10%

People know Obama. I can’t help thinking that anyone who is likely to vote for him is already committed to him and that the more we get to see of Romney, the more we’ll see of the same kind of shift away from Obama/Neither and toward Romney.

Important resource for your Pro-Life “Others”

June 29, 2012: Rasmussen poll of likely voters:

Obama 45% vs. Romney 44% vs. Other 5% vs. Undecided 6%

89% of us have made up our minds. We need to focus on identifying, schmoozing and educating the 11% who are still Other or Undecided.

Below is a good article to use for the Pro-Lifers you encounter who do not recognize the moral validity of “the lesser of two evils” and will ONLY vote for someone who is ideologically pure.

The gist of “Romney’s Conversion on Abortion—Is it Authentic?”

The conversion of a political candidate prior to an election is naturally met with questions and even skepticism. Mitt Romney has been no exception. It has led even the casual observer to say, “Is this authentic?”

When he was first elected Governor of Massachusetts, it was generally presumed that his position was “pro-choice.” However, in February 2005, Romney declared that he was pro-life.

He tells us that he started to change his mind in November 2004 when a Harvard stem cell scientist said to him, “Look, you don’t have to think about this stem cell research as a moral issue because we kill the embryos after fourteen days.”

The man was acknowledging that embryonic stem cell research did in fact kill human lives that were already in existence.

Wanting to know more, Romney consulted a Pro-Life physician and professor at Stanford University Medical Center Neuroscience Institute. The two of them met for several hours, discussing the issue in great detail. After this, Romney stated that he was pro-life.

Life Issues Institute and I are confident that Governor Romney’s conversion is real, heartfelt and authentic.

The article also talks about the Pro-Life conversion of George H.W. Bush. You can read the entire article @ http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/19/put-the-debate-to-rest-mitt-romney-is-genuinely-pro-life/

Shame on you, Barack Obama!

June 29, 2012: Shame On You ad from Romney campaign

I love it … pitting Obama’s own Secretary of State against him. And can you believe, the Dem’drooling Washington Post criticizing Obama so harshly? LOL I googled for the source of the WaPo quote. Here it is:

June 21, 2012: 4 Pinocchios for Obama’s newest anti-Romney ad By Glenn Kessler

Voiceover of new Barack Obama campaign ad: “Running for governor, Mitt Romney campaigned as a job creator. But as a corporate raider, he shipped jobs to China and Mexico. As governor, he did the same thing: Outsourcing state jobs to India.

I have faulted the obama campaign several times for these exact same claims. Apparently, they don’t pay much attention, since this latest ad combines all of the claims I’ve proved false into a single 30-second ad.

Simply repeating the same debunked claims won’t make them any more correct! Let’s look anew at this material.

In the world of finance, the phrase “corporate raider” refers to an investor who buys a large number of shares in a corporation whose assets appear to be undervalued with the intention of using share-holder voting rights to push for changes in the company’s leadership and management. This is generally an adversarial stance, in which the investor uses stock-holder voting rights to push management to spin off assets, take the company private or break it up.

We have closely studied Bain Capital and can find no examples that come close to this situation. Even former Obama auto czar Steven Rattner says, “Bain Capital is not now, nor has it ever been, some kind of Gordon Gekko-like, fire-breathing corporate raider that slashed and burned companies, immolating jobs wherever they appear in its path.”

The Obama campaign rests its “outsourcing at Bain” case on three examples of Bain-controlled companies sending jobs overseas. But only one of the examples — involving Holson Burns Group — took place when Romney was actively managing Bain Capital. One time does not make a pattern.

The claim that Romney outsourced jobs as governor is equally overblown. Governor Romney did veto a bill that would have prohibited Massachusetts from outsourcing the state’s work to other countries. Clearly, there was little real support on either side of the aisle for this bill, since both the liberal editorial page of the Boston Globe and the conservative editorial page of the Boston Herald urged him to veto it and when he did, the Democratic-dominated Massachusetts legislature did not override his veto. (It did overturn 117 others.)

The above was CONDENSED by CtH for clarity. You can read the original @ http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/4-pinocchios-for-obamas-newest-anti-romney-ad/2012/06/20/gJQAGux6qV_blog.html

Character matters

Obama’s response to a perceived heckler [1:56]

The reporter said later that he was NOT heckling. When he spoke out, he actually thought Obama’s speech was finished. I agree with him that the cadence of Obama’s speech is confusing. The way he stops and starts makes it hard to know when he really is done. And reporters have to jump in if they have a hope of getting their question heard.

The Laughing Stock Media ignored the content of Obama’s Rose Garden announcement (which was that he is instructing INS to NOT enforce the law) and focused on tut-tutting over what they characterized as “heckling” (not as a reporter asking a question out of turn). Some of them did some chin-pulling about whether a White President would be treated with so much disrespect.  Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh … you mean, like this?

Bush Heckled “war criminal” [:46]

But none of that is my point here. My point is the prickly way Obama responded to a reporter speaking out of turn. Video clip below shows how Romney responded to a planned group interruption of a campaign event.

Romney’s response to a group of actual hecklers [:43]

Here is how Obama handled a planned group interruption by his own supporters. Check out the face. Sheesh.

So … who do YOU want in the Oval Office? A bossy jerk with a chip on his shoulder or a smooth gentleman with a sense of humor? Speaking of humor … this last video clip is a well-done anti-Obama ad.

Most Arrogant Man in the World [1:05]

Remember in 2008, how the Left drooled over Mr. Barack O’Cool? What a joke! He’s only calm and congenial when he’s being stroked and pampered. At the first sign he isn’t getting his way, he acts like a 2-year-old who missed his nap.

This is what MSNBC calls “real journalism”

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell played a clip from a Romney speech to demonstrate to viewers that he is an out-of-touch RICH GUY.

Mitt Romney Is Amazed By WaWa [:49]

Now watch a video taken by someone who attended the same event that was NOT edited by MSNBC. The editing is outrageous! Pistol Pete called it Felony Media Malpractice. Really.

Mitt Romney In Pennsylvania [3:28]

I’m glad I saw the actual clip. Mitt is interesting and funny. Love the billboard story. As for that 33-page form, this is what ObamaCare is going to make WORSE. I’m getting more and more juiced about voting for this guy in November!

Slightly off topic, though not really … can you picture Barry O pushing a grocery cart? Clutching coupons? Carefully adding each purchase to his grocery calculator so he won’t go over the amount he has in his little wawa … I mean, wallet? Me neither. But it’s ROMNEY we’re all supposed to hate for being rich? ::snort::

Unprecedentedly Out of Touch

Jolt [1:01]

Jun 11, 2012 by mittromney: Last Friday, the unemployment rate rose to 8.2 percent and 300,000 more people joined the long-term unemployed. One week later, President Obama said the private sector is doing fine. Only a president that presides over forty months of unemployment over 8 percent would think that the last jobs report is “doing fine.” These comments show that President Obama is completely out of touch with the middle class.
