Less than 1% of senior Senate positions are held by African-Americans.

Every time I hear any of the Democratic senators, including my own boss, talk about diversity, I cringe, because it’s all one big lie. Congressman Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) said, “We attack the other party for their lack of diversity, but when you walk into an office you see a lily-white staff among some of those same members, especially in senior positions. With Democratic House members it’s shocking, but it’s also revealing … I’ve seen maybe a small amount (of improvement) but not enough to say we’re moving in the right direction. It’s a real serious problem, especially in policy-making positions. It’s absurd and it’s hypocrisy.”

And when Sen. Tim Scott announced his support for Sessions as AG, racist Democrats crawled out from under their rocks to scream Uncle Tom, house boy, housenigger, and porch boy at him.
Scott proved himself to be a gracious gentleman, responding to tweets like “You’ve sold your soul voting for Jeff Sessions” with “Sorry ma’am, but my #SoulIsPurchasedByJesus.”
He also showed he has the better sense of humor. When one tweeter called him “A white man in a black body”, he asked “Is that like a Liger?”

Sen. Tim Scott, the black Republican overwhelmingly elected by an extremely conservative electorate, noted that Durbin’s vote against Condoleezza Rice happened during the 40th anniversary of the March on Selma. Classy, Dickie. Real classy.
Those screaming RAAACISM over the white NYPD cop who killed an unarmed black man by keeping him in a chokehold too long need to know two important true facts:
1. The NYPD sergeant supervising the incident was black.
2. At no time did this sergeant tell the white cop to release his chokehold.
Garner’s death clearly needs to be addressed more thoroughly than “the cop didn’t MEAN to kill him”, which is all the Grand Jury was asked to decide. But the family is pursuing a civil law suit and there are surely other PEACEFUL means by which police procedures can be reviewed and improved.
My point is that yelling RAAACISM and protesting in the streets has never yet accomplished anything good, though it has clearly led to loss of property and even lives for those caught in the midst of it.
In fact, vendors and race mongers are the only people I can see who have benefited in any way from the hype of faux racial “causes” like Tawana Brawley (the black “victim” lied), the Duke lacrosse gang rape case (the black “victim” lied), Trayvon Martin (the Hispanic, not white, shooter was acquitted), the Ferguson case (the white shooter was acquitted and Michael Brown did NOT have his hands up), and now the Garner case (the black supervising officer never intervened).
It’s the same ol’ same ol’. These people have nothing but hate to offer the world.

Scott was gracious. In a series of tweets, he said:

In South Carolina, in America, it takes a generation to go from having a grandfather who is picking cotton, to a grandson in Congress. We are thankful for those trailblazers who came before us and said the status quo was not enough. I stand on the shoulders of giants. Our values and our issues are central. The most important things we have to offer are on the inside. This is the testament to progress made.

Last January, William Barber said South Carolina SenatorTim Scott isn’t “black enough” because of his ties to the Tea Party. “A ventriloquist can always find a good dummy,” Barber said.
Despite federal employees having been given a “liberal leave” day to attend the ceremonies, only 20,000 total attendees were at the 50th anniversary celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. 100,000 were expected. I’m thinking this says more about today’s black leadership than about King’s legacy.
It is sadly and painfully apparent that Dr. King’s successors have outright ignored his inspiring words:
