2020 impeachment arsenal by Terrell

IMPEACHMENT: According to the article linked below, there’s a little-known precedent on the books that Democrats are trying desperately to have removed before the impeachment trial of President Trump begins. In 1974, as Nixon faced impeachment, the Republican Congress passed a law that would allow his term to be extended if he was acquitted.

The law was specific to Nixon, and was set to expire in 5 years, but Nixon resigned. The removal of the law, therefore, never happened.

According to legal analyst and constitutional scholar, Art Tubolls, the fact that the law exists at all sets a precedent.

Personally, I’d like to see some consequences for frivolous impeachment. It’s wasted so much of our time and money!

2019_12 13 Holy Family after

BIBLE STUDY: “Upon arrival in Bethlehem it is likely Mary and Joseph turned to the family patriarch for lodging. This is of course inconsistent with the traditional understanding of the couple being turned away by the wicked innkeeper, a story founded on an inaccurate translation of a Greek word.

“The King James Version of the Bible, following even earlier traditions (as early as the Latin Vulgate), translated kataluma as inn in Luke 2:7. Kataluma, used also in Luke 22:7 and translated there as large upper room, seems to mean something like guest room.

“Considering that Mary had relatives in the area (earlier trip to visit Cousin Elizabeth) and Middle Eastern hospitality culture that would never turn away a relative, especially an expectant mother, it is safe to assume she was welcomed by her family. The phrase translated no room in the kataluma probably means the guest room was full as many other relatives were also in town for the census, disqualifying it as a reasonable place to give birth. …

“It is probable that when Mary’s time was near, she was helped to the storeroom, animals were shooed away, a manger (feeding trough) was refitted with fresh straw and a clean blanket, and baby Jesus was welcomed into the world assisted by the family matriarch and likely some of the other women relatives.”

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE: Juan Diego’s visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary led directly to the conversion of nine million Mexican Indians.

These apparitions are a family favorite, because Dearest’s paternal grandfather was from Mexico and because nobody can explain how the image happened in the first place or how it has survived the depradations of time and a terrorist bomb!

2020 impeach this

JOB APPROVAL: On the very same day that Democrats announced two articles of impeachment against Trump, his average job approval rating was 45%.

On the same day of Obama‘s first term, his average job approval rating was 43.5%.

These numbers are even more extraordinary given the huge disparity in their media coverage.

Kentucky’s ultrasound law stands!

The Supreme Court has declined to take up a challenge to Kentucky’s law requiring abortion center staff to show each patient her ultrasound images and describe the dimensions of her unborn baby and the presence of internal organs, if seen.

The lone abortion clinic in Kentucky routinely performs ultrasounds before doing abortions, but doesn’t like patients to see the images, since so many women change their minds after seeing they are carrying a baby, not a blob.

Earlier this year, judges, from the 6th Circuit, ruled 2-1 that the law did not violate a doctor’s First Amendment rights to free speech and that the information gleaned from an ultrasound was pertinent to a woman’s decision-making.

The attorney for the state of Kentucky noted it “adds absolutely no more than five minutes to the procedure. There’s nothing unreasonable about this.”

2020 Lies

DEMOCRAT GO-TO STRATEGY: When the facts make Trump look good, Democrats just make stuff up.

Recently, Schiff tweeted, “Trump is seeking to kick millions of families and children off food assistance.” And AOC moaned about “dissolving lifelines of those who need it most.”

The new rule applies only to able-bodied, childless adults between the ages of 18 and 49.

And The New York Times article clearly says “nearly 700,000” will be affected which, last I looked isn’t even one million, never mind millions with an ess on the end.

Anyway, what is the big deal?! We went on food stamps when we were both unexpectedly out of work. There most definitely was a work requirement.

So thank you, taxpayers, for helping us through a low point. We were and are very grateful. But it never occurred to us that we shouldn’t keep trying to find new jobs!

Officials say the rule, which takes effect April 1, 2020, will save the government billions of dollars and encourage more people to work at a time when jobless rates are near a 50-year low.

2020 quid pro joe

QUID PRO JOE: Biden bragged in public and on camera that, when he was Obama’s VP, he threatened to withhold vital U.S. aide to the Ukraine if they did not fire then-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

Shokin got fired; Ukraine got their money.

The Epoch Times reports that now-former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin says his office was preparing to interview then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, as part of a money laundering probe into Hunter Biden’s employer, the Burisma energy company.

Shokin says then-President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, told him directly that he had to step down as prosecutor general because Joe Biden had threatened to withhold vitally needed aid.You are a patriot of Ukraine. We need this billion dollars.”

Several Senate committees are probing what the Bidens did during their dealings with Ukraine.

Miracle!

2019_12 09 Be my voice

Posted Dec 9, 2019 at Facebook “Be My Voice for Life”

!! WE ARE IN SHOCK !!

We are all recovering from shock here today. Late yesterday we received the news that baby Brianna has defied the odds and delivered a Christmas miracle for her family.

Diagnosed in pregnancy with a rare and “terminal” genetic condition from having a small cerebellum and pons in the brain (a condition called Pontocerebellar hypoplasia or PCH), she was given anywhere between a few hours and young adulthood to live (she also had fluid on the brain). The family were told to “terminate” the pregnancy. As there is no cure. There is no “fix”. There is no answer.

Yet yesterday it was found, to the shock of doctors, nurses and well….everyone involved really….that she was perfectly healthy. The initial diagnostic symptoms she had have miraculously disappeared and she was cleared of the condition after passing a million and 1 tests – from eye scans, to renal tests, to ultrasounds and even a brain MRI.

I would not have believed this had I not attended the last scan (to support the family as a bereavement and birth doula) and witnessed the examination of the brain and saw the fluid with my own 2 eyes.

We literally saw the diagnosis.
We spoke with multiple doctors and specialists in depth.
We were referred to the pallative care team to “plan”.
We were told to prepare for the worst.
And on multiple occasions, even I was asked if I knew what I was in for and prepared myself for the journey that I was about to undertake as a doula supporting this family.

Today…..there are no words. There is no explanation.

Just joy and tears. BIG HAPPY TEARS!

This story needs to be told. Both the family and I feel the need to do that. Soooo….watch this space!!
