THE CONVENTION GRUDGE-LAST DAY

This week has been a real whirlwind.Good times,good people,amazing speeches.The enemedia were let out of the sanitorium long enough to provide comic relief with their juvenile antics.Like a petulant kid playing with a rat trap.You know what’s going to happen,but you watch anyway.

Now that Mitt is the official nominee,he can use the $186 million he could not legally use before.It’s a safe bet he’ll use it much more wisely than Obozo does.If the past is any indication,it’s going to get really nasty.Kinda makes you feel good inside.

Now on to the DNC.I must confess I don’t plan to waste a lot of time watching a bunch of nobodies saying a lot of nothing about nothing.I just refuse to believe that the American people are more concerned about gay marriage and abortion than they are about how they’re going to feed their kids and keep a roof over their heads.One thing is certain–there will be a clear choice in this election.

THE CONVENTION GRUDGE – DAY 4

Another night with no sleep.I watch the convention until 10:30-11:00,then I’m too amped up to sleep since I’m up by 12:30-1:00 7 days a week.Its OK,its a labor of love.Besides,I’ll get plenty of sleep next week.There’s nothing on TV worth watching then.

The speeches last night were stunning.DW,who has absolutely no interest in politics,sat and watched Ryan’s speech with me.I think she has a crush on him.Young,blue-eyed,ripped body and a razor-sharp mind.What does she see in him?

Clint Eastwood has been confirmed as the guest speaker tonight.

“Get off my South Lawn.”(just made that up)

The news this morning said Akin is back up by 3 points on Aire Claire in Mo.Priebus still insisits the RNC won’t send him any money even if they’re tied.I’m betting if its that close in October,the RNC will get him some money somehow.No sense cutting off your nose to spite your face.

A new judge has been ordered in the George Zimmerman case.This is not surprising to me since the original judge has shown himself to be blatantly biased.

It’s been a little amusing to see liberal heads detonate.We knew they would.They get more shrill and unhinged every day.

All I can say is ‘wow.’ I sat through the whole thing yesterday(it’s good being retired) as I watched,I couldn’t help but think of how markedly different this convention will be from the one next week.Like going from Realville to Fantasy Island.Anyone the least bit objective had to come away with a positive attitude.

The left,predictably,would be oozing bile from every pore,if reptiles had pores.Right after the speeches ended,I flipped over to MSDNC and Tom Brokejaw,Tingles and Butch were griping nobody gave a shoutout to the military.If that’s all they have,they’re really grasping at straws.The Newsbusters website is rife with articles of generic conservative-bashing by the leftists,but I won’t waste your time posting any of it.You’ve heard it all before,you’ll no doubt hear it again.I’m posting a thread with links to last night’s speeches(you knew I would) and they’re all worth watching.If you have limited time,I highly recommend watching Mia Love,Chris Christie and especially Ann Romney,who was stunning.

Not much happening today.The RNC preemptively cancelled todays schedule ahead of Isaac,which veered west toward Louisiana.Democrats are savoring the chance to dredge up the Katrina-Bush-bashing days of old.It matters little that W will not be at the convention and wants nothing more to do with politics.They prefer bullying someone who won’t fight back.Biden cancels crashing the convention and instead went to a meeting with big dem donors and proceeded to insult them by being 2 hours late.A couple hundred protesters have shown up,the rain probably being their first shower since they reached puberty.I fully expect Tingles Matthews to smoke some ‘bath salt’ drugs and try to eat Mika’s face.

Congratulations.You stood on principle even after making a foolish comment you thought would pass with an apology.You’ve held elective office for 24 years.You should have realized by now the media will set republicans up at every chance and when you do say anything the slightest bit controversial they will descend on you like a pack of ravening dogs.A sincere apology is only accepted by those with grace and civility in their souls.The democrat party has none.

Crossroads GPS pulled $5 million in ads they were going to run to help you and the RNC pulled their support,still you remain defiant.Your BFF,Mike Huckabee encouraged you to stay in,even though you went from 3 points up to 12 points down to the most reviled woman in Missouri.Remember it was Huckabee who stayed in the 2008 to split the evangelical vote with Romney until the establishment eunuch McStain prevailed.We all saw how that worked out.

You boast you’ve raised $100,000 since you took your principled stance.110K is pocket money in the high stakes contest we are now embroiled in.

There are plenty of Missourians who would never vote for AireClaire,but what you have done is dampen the enthusiasm of conservatives with your obstinance.Given the inherent vote fraud that regularly occurs in St. Louis and Kansas City,you have,in effect,handed a senate seat to the least-deserving liberal bootlick in the state.Additionally,you have quite probably foisted four more agonizing years of a vile-smelling maggot from Nevada as majority leader on our beloved land.You not only have condemned yourself,but you are dragging Romney down with you.

You’re for the sanctity of life.We get that.So are most of us on the right.But we must keep things in perspective and choose the hill we want to fight on.You have, unwittingly or not,done that for all of us.Perhaps you are satisfied being a martyr for your cause,but that will be cold comfort when a wretched piece of scum is grinning broadly at her victory party election night,knowing her seat was gift-wrapped and handed to her.

Thanks again,Todd.For nothing.

In case nobody noticed I haven’t posted the last few days.The truth is I’ve been in a rage of levels seldom reached since I’m an incurable cynic.I’ve watched along with everyone while one man has single-handedly undone the effort and money invested in making this contest about jobs,the economy and Obama’s miserable failure.When I can cobble my thoughts into something more than a profanity-laced tirade,I’ll begin posting again.You deserve the best I have and I cannot deliver that at this time.However,I have a cache of great videos that you may or may not have seen.I will post these today and be back when I can.

It never ceases to amaze how in this age of instant communication bits of information can be spread around the world in seconds.Two days ago nobody except we political junkies ever heard of Todd Akin.Now the fate of the Senate majority may rise or fall on whether he steps down by 5:00 PM today or decides he can win with virtually no support.Recall during the Obamacare fight Ben Nelson wavered,and could have been a national hero had he not taken a bribe referred to as the ‘Cornhusker Kickback.’ Had he held to his principles Republicans from around the country would have sent him donations and he could have been a senator for as long as he wanted.Sadly,liberals are inherently cowardly and he sold the country out.He became a pariah in his home state and decided to retire rather than seek another term where he was sure to lose.Bart Stupak fell for an empty promise from the liar-in-chief and suffered the same fate.Obama used these fools to get what he wanted and then sent them off with virtually nothing to show for it.

No,it’s not right that democrats can say anything they please and are never held to account while one slip can cost a republican their carreer,but it is what it is.As William F. Buckley famously stated,don’t choose the most conservative candidate,choose the most conservative candidate WHO CAN WIN.We are all hoping Akin has a ‘come to Jesus’ moment,but I don’t hold out much hope.Maybe we are called ‘the stupid party’ for a reason.

The city of Hyde Park,Ill.,unveiled a 3 thousand pound monument at the spot where an African socialist first locked lips with a water buffalo he had become enamored with since her manly physique and large biceps brought out his feminine side.The irony is Bain Capital was part of the consortium that bought out Dunkin brands,which owns Dunkin Donuts and the Baskin Robbins where this stone is located in Dec. 2005.You can’t make this stuff up.

I think I just threw up a little bit.
