One of the things that has made me the most angry during the past 8+ years is the way Obama and the media have treated our troops.
During the 2008 campaign, they paraded dead soldiers’ photos, publicly consoled Gold Star moms, elevated Cindy Sheehan to saint status, and castigated President Bush for being a blood-thirsty cowboy who sent our troops into harm’s way to line his own pockets.
When was the last time you saw any Democrat weeping crocodile tears over dead soldiers? Trust me … it’s NOT because Obama ended war like he swore he would do. It’s because Democrat wars are A-OK with the Left. Peace and soldiers’ lives only matter when they can be used as clubs to beat up Republicans.

Neutered Dems are all bark, no bite on Trump’s nominees
And even the press at this point seems to be admitting that there’s not much drama to a story about the Democratic minority trying to stop Trump’s nominees.
“Dems to unload on Mnuchin,” said a headline in Politico. The story said Democratic questions will “make for some uncomfortable hearings and negative headlines,” but aside from that possible discomfort, the story said nothing about actually blocking the nominee.
WI Lawmaker: Dems Are Stalling, Recount Will Not Be Completed, State Will Be Forfeited
Duffy said Democrats and far left Green Party supporters are stalling the recount in Dane County Wisconsin, where Madison is located. The county is holding a hand recount. The recount will not be completed by the deadline on December 20th. Therefore, according to Rep. Duffy, the state will quite possibly be forced to forfeit their electoral votes.
This was the plan all along. Democrats knew they couldn’t make up 20,000 votes. But they also knew if they stalled on the recount the state could not certify the vote.
Wisconsin, won fairly by Donald Trump, will forfeit.
Democrats Must Dig Faster and Use Bigger Shovels
Things the Democratic elites should do in order to live up to their party principles.
Barack Obama was an affirmative action president. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Donna Brazile were affirmative action DNC chairs. Hillary was an affirmative action presidential nominee.
As a result, the Democratic party has lost the White House, Senate, House of Representatives, many governorships, state and local legislatures, as well as the ability to make Supreme Court appointments that will determine the direction of the Judiciary for a generation. The Democrat party today is the weakest it has been since the 1920s.
My only regret is that the Democrats hadn’t tested all of their half-baked ideas on their party first, before forcing them on the entire nation. Had they done that, their party would not have survived natural selection and today’s Republicans would have to compete with a lot more sensible group of people.

Both parties have been shocked to the core by Trump’s election — so there is less chance Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will wage major battles to stop most items on Trump’s economic agenda.
But they will complain. One likely item on the jobs agenda is Trump’s promise to cut the corporate tax rate. Corporations have been a favorite target of Democrats, but the political tactics didn’t work on Nov. 8. Most Americans in swing states just wanted more jobs and better wages.
Laffer says the corporate tax rate in the United States is the highest in the 35 member-nations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The United States recently overtook Japan with a top federal corporate rate of 35 percent — or 39.1 percent, if you include state taxes.
Trump would like to cut the top rate to 15 percent.

Texas to Require That Aborted Babies Be Buried or Cremated
The new rules are part what the governor said are meant to “reflect our respect for the sanctity of life” and “turn the tides against the soulless abortion industry in Texas,” according to a fundraising email he sent in July, HuffPost reported.
The cost of cremation, which can be as high as $10,000, will be paid by the facilities that dispose of the aborted baby’s remains, the article noted.
The Texas Tribune reported that the new rules don’t apply to “miscarriages or abortions that occur at home.” Furthermore, birth or death certificates won’t be “required for ‘proper disposition’ under the rules.”
According to the Tribune, health officials said the rules will go into effect on Dec. 19.

I just saw this on Facebook and I’m experiencing that “dust in the eyes” thing.
Lost in all the chaos at Ohio State University today was something that most people probably missed.
About an hour into it, when everyone was “sheltering in place” all over campus, CNN took a phone call from a young woman who was locked inside a classroom right near where the suspect was hurting people.
She said she was a graduate student and she and many others were huddled together scared and not sure what was happening outside. Then she said something made me tear up.
She said casually to the TV anchor over the phone, “But we happened to have a few ‘military guys’ in my class and the minute we got the text message alert of an ‘active shooter on campus’ they moved the rest of us away from the door and then all of them stood guard right by the door.”
She said they were standing there as she spoke making certain if a shooter or someone with a knife or whatever calamity tried to come through that door, they would be the first thing he’d see and they’d stop it and protect the other students or die trying.
These guys weren’t armed, I’m guessing they weren’t in uniform, they were just students who happened to have military training. Those “military guys” instantly put themselves on the clock and assumed the position to protect those unarmed, vulnerable students.
I thought that was impressive. I thought that was brave. I thought that was oh so very American.
I also thought you’d want to know.

My daughter was in class at OSU today also she too had a military/trained SWAT officer in her class and he did the same thing!!! Prayers for all of these brave people who were willing to risk THEIR lives so OUR children would be safe!!!

Memo to Trump: Exploit your win!
The protests, riots and violence that have attended his triumph in city after city should only serve to steel his resolve.
As for promptings that he “reach out” and “reassure” those upset by his victory, and trim or temper his agenda to pacify them, Trump should reject the poisoned chalice. This is the same old con.
A partial agenda: First, he should ignore any importunings by President Obama to permit passage of the Trans-Pacific Partnership in a lame-duck session – and let the trade deal sink by year’s end.
On Jan. 20, he should have vetted and ready to nominate to the high court a brilliant constitutionalist and strict constructionist.
With a new education secretary, he should announce White House intent to work for repeal of Common Core and announce the introduction of legislation to put federal resources behind the charter schools that have proven to be a godsend to inner-city black children.
Trump should announce a date soon for repeal and replacement of Obamacare and introduction of his new tax-and-trade legislation to bring back manufacturing and create American jobs.
Donald Trump said in his campaign that that this is America’s last chance. If we lose this one, he said, we lose the country.
The president-elect should ignore his more cautious counselors and act with the urgency of his declared beliefs.

President-elect Donald Trump called slain NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo’s widow Thursday morning and personally extended his “condolences” to her on the day that thousands of police officers paid tribute to the fallen Finest at his funeral.
“I’m very sorry I cannot be there with you today. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time,” Trump told the grieving woman, according to a source.
“I want to express my condolences from me and my family.”
Tuozzolo, a married father of two, was shot and killed last week by 35-year-old ex-con Manuel Rosales. Tuozzolo had been responding to a report of a break-in.

President-elect Trump is poised to do the same. President-elect Trump has pledged to get rid of the disastrous defense sequester, invest in long-overdue future military technologies, grow the ranks and numbers of ships and aircraft, and repeal stifling rules of engagement that handcuff our troops.
In just a few years, the posture of our military could look much different—ensuring America both deters aggression and can swiftly defeat enemies.

“I don’t think Trump needs the press pool,” said Rep. Duncan Hunter, a California Republican who is a top Trump ally on Capitol Hill. “He didn’t need it when he ran and he doesn’t need it as president of the United States.”
“If I had just won the election after everyone said I’d lose and rooted for my opponent, why would I give anyone the time of day,” said Mr. Hunter.

Honoring Our Veterans
This is the solemn remembrance of all who serve or have served in defense of this country. It was first called Armistice Day and was designated so because the First World War ended on 11/11/18. The Armistice was signed at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. No, I didn’t Google it, I already knew it. I am among the fortunate who were educated back when teachers taught and classrooms weren’t incubators for mind-numbed robots.
This is the day we honor our warriors, like Grunt’s son and Chrissy’s warrior princesses. I would like to recognize anyone who lurks here that has family serving. You have our undying gratitude for your strength, your courage, and your devotion to your country. I have always maintained that the left hates the military because they cannot comprehend a sense of duty and loyalty to something so precious people are willing to risk life and limb to preserve it. It’s called “guts.” They don’t understand it and never will.

This Veterans Day, start fixing the Veterans Administration
Just in time for Veterans Day, when we honor those who served their country in uniform, the inspector general of the Department of Veterans Affairs has unearthed another scandal.
This time, it’s that scheduling staff at a clinic in southern Arizona systematically zeroed out patient wait times for thousands of appointments to make it look like goals were being met.
Veterans Day would be a hollow and meaningless celebration if America didn’t value its veterans enough to keep its promises to them, no matter how many politicians or bureaucrats have to be thrown out to make this happen.
As I was typing this it occurred to me. This is the 241st birthday of the Marines. What better gift could we have given them than a commander-in-chief they can be proud of? Someone who appreciates their sacrifice and would not betray them the way the last one did. It is hard to imagine what it was like to obey the commands of someone who has little but contempt for you and what you do. May Almighty God keep you in His arms.
