I need to vent!

The idea that the fricking Obama Democrats have identified and targeted MILITARY FAMILIES as needing “intervention” has just had my blood pressure at boiling point all day. See https://polination.wordpress.com/2013/08/17/its-going-to-get-worse/.

So forgive me in advance … the following will be a lot more coarse and snarky than I usually post. If that’s gonna bother you, please move on to something else. Goodness knows we’ve all got more email and blogs and facebook than we could ever find time to read.

So … now that I’ve apologized … I can just let ‘er rip. Cuz I am seriously PISSED today.

Please note that all this began with the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION. And the list could be much, Much, MUCH longer, except I don’t have the heart to compile it.

March 2009: A leaked secret report from the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) profiled third-party supporters, homeschoolers, people who know the U.S. Constitution and people who have related bumper stickers on their cars, fly the flag or invest in gold as potential domestic terrorists.

April 2009: A Department of Homeland Security published “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment”, a report which expressed many of the same sentiments and targeted the same people.

August 2009: The Obama administration created flag@whitehouse.gov and encouraged people to rat on their friends, acquaintances, colleagues and neighbors who don’t like Obamacare.

[Fill in Fast and Furious, Benghazi, drone attacks, kill lists, NSA spying on citizens, DOJ targeting Pro-Lifers refusing to pay for abortions, IRS targeting Obama’s political enemies, yada yada yada.]

January 2013: The Director of Terrorism Studies at West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center published a paper in which he identified racists/white supremacists, anti-federalists and fundamentalists as the three far-right groups responsible for a “dramatic rise in the number of attacks and violent plots” in America.

Anti-Federalists: He defined these as people who discuss and object to a “New World Order” and who feel that the federal government has become overly corrupt or tyrannical, infringing our Constitutional rights.

  • RAAAAACISTS: Anybody who doesn’t like Obama’s policies.
  • Fundamentalists: Christians who take the Bible seriously.

August 2013: the Concord, New Hampshire Police Chief asked Homeland Security for a quarter million dollar armored vehicle which he said they needed to combat domestic terrorism threats by “groups such as the Sovereign Citizens, Free Staters and Occupy New Hampshire.

  • Sovereign Citizens: The worst the FBI has to say about Sovereign Citizens is that since 2000, lone-offender members have killed six law enforcement officers nationwide.

  • Free State Project: This group promotes New Hampshire as a great place to live, because it has a “small government” attitude. The group has all of seven members in Concord.

  • Occupy New Hampshire: This group is Left-wing, pro-Obamacare and anti-business.

Interesting aside. I went to Occupy New Hampshire’s website. They are decidedly unhappy about the Concord PD characterizing them as domestic terrorists. But hey, that’s how it goes when you support Big Government. Why shouldn’t the PTBs turn the vast machinery you handed them AGAINST you, huh?

You think your Obama t-shirts make you safe? Read the history of the French Revolution. When those turkeys got done slaughtering their enemies, they turned on each other and then the people got so sick of the violence that they elevated a strong leader named Napoleon. Cuz, you know, nothing says “We want freedom” like a guy like Napoleon.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) told a town hall group that 2 days after the September 11, 2012, attack in Benghazi, Libya, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton screamed at a member of Congress for suggesting it had been a terrorist attack. Now, of course, we know that the administration knew while it was happening that it was a terrorist attack and just made up all that crap about the YouTube video.

Extortion 17

If the accusations being made by the Extortion 17 families are true, the Obama Administration is guilty of 38 murders.

Extortion 17 could be a bigger scandal and betrayal of Americans than Benghazi. While Benghazi resulted in four American deaths, Extortion 17 resulted in 38 deaths, including nearly two dozen Navy SEALs.

Many of these SEALs were made famous, credited with the killing of Osama bin Laden.

The Chinook helicopter they were aboard was shot down by Taliban forces, which written testimony confirms knew the elite forces were coming into the area.

Extortion 17 was the helicopter’s call sign.

Families are going after the Obama administration for what they believe were leaks that led to their family members’ deaths.

According to Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on National Security, “We’re going to dive into this.”

Do business owners have a right to conscience?

In the past, this would’ve been a no brainer for any American. Of course we do! But since the Rise of Obama, the rights of those on the right have been under attack. And that includes the rights of business owners who are refusing to pay for abortion-inducing drugs for their employees.

Courts Reject Obama View That Businesses Don’t Have Religious Freedom

Can you make money and be religious? The Obama administration and a few courts have said no — at least in the context of forcing business owners to violate their religion by purchasing abortion-inducing drugs for their employees. Thankfully, most courts have rejected this view, leaving individuals and their businesses free to go to work without checking their conscience at the door.

The question is not about corporations. We know corporations can exercise religion because houses of worship and other religious organizations are corporations. The Supreme Court has repeatedly protected religious liberty for corporations. The question is really about money, and whether the government can force groups that earn money to single-mindedly pursue profits, without regard for any other value.

We regularly encounter businesses making decisions of conscience. Chipotle recently decided not to sponsor a Boy Scout event because the company disagreed with the Scouts’ policy on openly gay scoutmasters. It was “the right thing to do,” Chipotle said.

Starbucks has ethical standards for the coffee beans it buys. Vegan stores refuse to sell animal products because they believe doing so is immoral. Some businesses refuse to invest in sweatshops or pornography companies or polluters.

You can agree or disagree with the decisions of these businesses, but they are manifestly acts of conscience, both for the companies and the people who operate them. Our society is better because people and organizations remain free to have other values while earning a living. Does anyone really want a society filled with organizations that can only focus on profits and are barred from thinking of the greater good?

For many, their conscience is informed by religious views about activities they can or cannot participate in. Some Jewish store owners cannot sell leavened bread at certain times of the year. Some Muslim truck drivers cannot transport alcohol. Some Catholic prison workers cannot participate in executions.

If religious freedom means anything, it means that these people — just like Chipotle, Starbucks and everyone else in our society — are allowed to earn a living and run a business according to their values. In a tolerant society, we should just accept that our neighbors will have different beliefs, and that government-enforced conformity is rarely the best answer to this diversity.
