What’s Really Important

There is a lot going on in the state of world affairs, to be sure. Terrorists in London, the Comey hearings, the GA-6th debate, etc. While these may be important, they pale in comparison to an upcoming event Friday morning. I booked a guided fishing trip months ago with a friend, his son, and my R.J. I had no idea which lake we were going to and he won’t answer his cell phone. The old lady at the bait shop was of little help when I called, she only said: ‘Where do you want to go?’ Walworth County, Wisconsin, has numerous lakes and I assumed he would decide. Apparently not. I chose Lake Delavan and she gave me directions to one of the three boat launches on the lake. I’m getting a little obsessive, but I don’t want anything to go wrong since my grandson has looked forward to this for months. Fishing with him is one of the few real joys in my life anymore.

Now onto the crap.

HE WILL ADROITLY TIPTOE AROUND THE FACTS TO AVOID INCRIMINATING HIMSELF. AT THE END OF THE DAY THE MEDIA, THIRSTING FOR BLOOD, WILL BE SORELY DISAPPOINTED.

The Washington establishment and media elite has gone into a full-blown craze over a Senate hearing on Thursday featuring fired FBI Director James Comey.

And while the media continued to hype the hearing, some began expressing worry the hearing would not live up to the hype.

The Senate Intelligence Committee hearing is slated to begin at 10 a.m. eastern and begin with opening statements from the chairman and vice chairman of the committee. Comey will then deliver an opening statement, and senators will have the opportunity to question Comey, with multiple rounds of questions expected. The hearing is expected to last hours. The closed hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. eastern.

Sessions Is Said to Have Offered to Resign

The situation between Mr. Sessions and Mr. Trump has grown so tense that the attorney general told Mr. Trump in recent weeks that he needed the freedom to do his job and that he could resign if that was what was wanted, according to the two people who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal White House matters. Mr. Trump did not take him up on the offer.

A spokesman for Mr. Sessions declined to comment. A White House spokeswoman did not respond to an email seeking comment.

They Just Won’t Go Away: Michelle Obama Trashes Trump at Apple Conference

The last time we saw Michelle Obama, she was flaunting her poor fashion sense in Italy.  This week the former First Lady was a surprise guest at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in California.  She delivered a fireside chat where she trashed President Trump over global warming junk science and his temporary travel ban from failed Islamist states.

Michelle Obama: “I think my message earlier was, you know, think about that higher purpose. Because we are at a time in this country when we need problem solvers out there who are committed who believe in this country who believe in the value of diversity and believe in, you know, the value of immigrants, and believe that global warming is real.”

Ugh.  Won’t these people please just go away.  You’ve done enough damage Michelle for one lifetime.  Now shoo.

Kaos! Klimate Kooks Kry Kalamity!

Sometimes it appears Trump gets a sadistic kind of pleasure making liberals lose their minds. He announced yesterday the United States is pulling out of the phony climate agreement made by the FORMER preezy, who pledged billions of US taxpayer dollars to help third world toilets “fight the scourge of climate change.” China, by the way, has pledged zero dollars. Not dime one, and they along with India are two of the biggest polluters on the planet.
Predictably, the left is in total meltdown, since the climate hoax is one of their sacred cows. All these dumbasses are convinced the world will erupt in flames tomorrow. It would be humorous were it not so pathetic.

In ditching Paris deal, Trump does right by America and the world

In quitting the Paris Accord, President Trump on Thursday did nothing to shift the course of US environmental policy — not even on carbon emissions. But he did put the world on notice that no president can unilaterally commit this nation to such far-reaching agreements.

The Constitution is clear: No treaty is binding on the US government unless ratified by the Senate. That tanked the Kyoto Protocol, a 1997 anti-warming treaty that the Senate rejected 95-0. And it would’ve killed the Paris deal that President Obama signed in 2016 — except that his negotiators shaped an “agreement” that wouldn’t go to the Senate.

But one that still would’ve been used to rewrite US law, if the courts went along. (And a President Hillary Clinton’s judicial picks would have ensured that they did.)

New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio vowed to issue an executive order soon to honor the goals of the Paris accord, which is to keep future global warming below 2 degrees Celsius.

Democratic governors of California, New York and Washington also announced the creation of the United States Climate Alliance. Govs. Jerry Brown, Andrew Cuomo and Jay Inslee all vowed to meet the Paris Agreement goals.

“We will not ignore the science and reality of climate change which is why I am also signing an Executive Order confirming New York’s leadership role in protecting our citizens, our environment, and our planet,” Cuomo said.

“If the President is going to be AWOL in this profoundly important human endeavor, then California and other states will step up,” Brown said.

A very wise person once told me: “Carrying a grudge is like being stung to death by one bee.” As far as grudge-carrying goes, Hillary Clinton has few peers and no betters. The Clinton Crime Family does not take failure lightly. Given the massive egos involved they cannot and will not accept any personal blame for themselves. There have to be excuses to be made and scapegoats found. Losing a presidential contest, especially when she took it for granted her dream was all but assured is likely the greatest humiliation of her greedy, power-hungry career.

Just a few things to mull over in the middle of a long weekend.

Trump’s first foreign trip was a huge success

He was clear, concise and disciplined. Those were the key ingredients that created a striking success for President Trump in his first foreign trip.

If he can bottle that recipe and start each day in the Oval Office with a big gulp of it, his presidency gets a renewed chance to live up to its promises.
One priceless moment came as he stood in the $1.4 billion new NATO building in Brussels and referred to American taxpayers running out of patience with the alliance’s deadbeats. The incident no doubt cheered his supporters at home as much as it rankled the European elites, most of whom regard taxpayers as suitable only for fleecing, especially when they are American.

But now Trump comes home to the swamp, and the test of whether he can drain it before it swallows him. In some ways, he took the swamp with him.

Trump Admin to Block Cities from Providing Sanctuary for Illegal Aliens

Otherwise known as following the law.

Up to now, local police departments have been banning its officers from getting specific information about a suspect’s immigration status and then releasing potential law breakers back on the streets before federal immigration has a chance to look over their files.

One opponent of the budget is San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera who represents a sanctuary city. He complains the proposal is unconstitutional.

“Once again, this administration has demonstrated why they can’t be trusted,” Herrera said. “They are trying to sneak major changes in the law through the back door because they cannot get them through the front. These proposed changes would fly in the face of the Constitution.”

You Ain’t in New York Anymore

The day before Montana’s runoff election to replace Ryan Zinke in the House, a lowlife Obama operative got into a scuffle with Greg Gianforte after he barged into the Republican’s office during a private interview, shoved a microphone in his face and started shouting questions at him. Gianforte then allegedly body slammed the creep.

The media whores rushed to Bozeman, expecting the populace to be shocked and appalled at such barbaric behavior, even though they’d watched far worse happen to anyone who showed up at a rally to support candidate Trump. Lo and behold, the prevailing opinion was one of approval of his actions, with most saying they’d do the same thing.

Seventy percent of the electorate had already voted early in the election Gianforte won, so whether the incident could have have been a game changer is a matter of conjecture. Montana is a massive state with more cattle than people and there are no large urban toilets infested with welfare leeches and violent crime.

One of our dear friends here, Auntie Lib lives in Montana and if her views are indicative of the general mood, social justice warriors would end up shoveling manure on a big ranch. Still, the Democrats never pass up a chance to make asses of themselves. It’s a pattern.

Rock’em Sock’em Republican candidate Greg Gianforte, best known for “body-slamming” and ego-shaming a reporter for The Guardian, defeated Democratic Candidate Rob Quist, best known as a nudist resort socialist Cowboy poet and singer.

This is another *win* for Democrats because they showed up and did better than they expected, even though they lost. Losing by less than you thought you’d lose is the new Democrat definition of #winning.

There are many lessons here. The biggest one is that the mainstream media remains disconnected from most of the country.

Montana: Even With the Game Rigged, the Left Can’t Win

The Obama DNC threw a ton of money into winning special elections. Special elections tend to have low turnout. And throwing a ton of money into low turnout elections backed by highly motivated leftists seemed like a good plan.

Except it has yet to work. It’s rattled Republicans. And Dems have patted themselves on the back for making Congressional races closer than they should have been. But it’s not enough. So far all they have to show for it are wins in some some local races.

ON THE NEWS REPORTS THIS MORNING, THE DEMS BROKE OUT A NEW SET OF TALKING POINTS:

  • The Republicans could refuse to seat Gianforte and force him to resign.
    • Ryan says it won’t happen.
  • Gianforte may spend 30 days in jail on a misdemeanor assault charge.
  • Gianforte won the all-state district by less than Trump won the state, so liberals are making progress competing in red states once again.

Gianforte released a statement about the incident, alleging that Jacobs was aggressive. But after he won, he apologized for his actions.

“When you make a mistake, you have to own up to it,” Gianforte said during his victory party. “That’s the Montana way. Last night I made a mistake and I took an action that I can’t take back and I’m not proud of what happened. I should not have responded in the way that I did and for that I am sorry. I should not have treated that reporter that way and for that I am sorry Mr. Ben Jacobs.”

NYT Reporter Caught Passing Off Local Reporter’s Photo As His Scoop

Whitney Bermes with the Bozeman Daily Chronicle in Montana posted a photo of the citation Republican congressional candidate Greg Gianforte received after reportedly throwing a reporter to the ground.

Less than hour after Bermes shared the photo on Twitter, New York Times reporter Jonathan Martin tweeted the exact same picture with a caption claiming, “I’ve obtained a copy of the Gallatin Co summons for Gianforte’s assault charge.”

Yeah, right.  I guess at the New York Slime, copy/pasting another reporter’s work now counts as journalism

DCCC Mobilization Chair Completely Unaware of Montana Special Election

Last week, Congressman Jim Clyburn, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s national mobilization chair in 2016, was asked if the DCCC planned to get more involved in the upcoming Montana special congressional election to replace new Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.

Clyburn gave a nine-word response:  “Montana special election? Oh, I didn’t know about that.”

Last night provided once again, if needed, that there is no depth the left will not stoop to in their effort to steal elections. Trump supporters still face the risk of assault from paid thugs for no apparent reason. These are no cause for concern as far as the media whores care. This case, however, will be shouted from the rooftops:

Greg Gianforte is the Republican candidate in the Montana congressional district (an at-large one) formerly represented by Ryan Zinke, now the Secretary of Interior. The Democrats are running country music singer Rob Quist.

The Democrats have been cautiously optimistic about winning this race, though they face an uphill battle in a district (coextensive with a state) Donald Trump carried by about 20 percentage points. For their part, Republicans have viewed the race as closer than it should be.

The Dems are probably more optimistic now that Gianforte has been accused of body-slamming a reporter. The reporter is Ben Jacobs of the Guardian, a left-leaning paper. This evening, he tweeted: “Greg Gianforte just body slammed me and broke my glasses.”

NOTE: BEN JACOBS IS A FORMER OBAMA OPERATIVE AND DIRTY TRICKS SPECIALIST.

I imagine that many Montanans will have little sympathy for Jacobs, who comes across as an overly aggressive twit who may have wanted to goad the GOP candidate and become part of the story for the benefit of the Democrats (presumably in less dramatic fashion, though). Whether they will find Gianforte’s response to Jacobs appropriate behavior for a congressman is another matter.

Montanans will have to sort it out quickly. The election is tomorrow.

I just remembered that in the Alaska Senate race of 2010, a supporter of Joe Miller, the Tea Party candidate and Republican nominee, had a reporter handcuffed and detained after he asked Miller an unpleasant question. There were a number of fairly small problems and incidents that, collectively, derailed Miller and enabled Lisa Murkowski, whom he had defeated in the Republican primary, to win the general election as an independent. The “arrest” of the journalist may have been one of them

CNN Tries to Blame Trump for Incident Between Montana Candidate and Reporter

CNN analyst Avlon accuses Trump of “consciously stoking those fires of fear and anger and resentment”

Camerota got the ball rolling by asking whether there is “some sort of larger story or message we should take away here . . . growing aggression against the press.”

The panel was only too happy to run with that ball. Take CNN political analyst John Avlon, accusing President Trump of “consciously stoking those fires of fear and anger and resentment.” Avlon later called on Montana voters to “send a message.”

Chris Cuomo ended the segment by advising President Trump to condemn the incident.

NYT Minimizes Pederast’s Heinous Crimes

2017_05 22 NYT weeps for Seattle mayor

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray is stepping down following allegations that he sexually abused young boys, some of whom he paid.  Murray’s former foster son alleges Murray began sexually abusing him when he was 13.

The main point of the story is how very, very sad it is that the first openly gay mayor of Seattle won’t be able to run for re-election.

The NYT didn’t get around to mentioning the creepy pederasty allegations until paragraph six, though I noticed they did jump right on the “he grew up Irish Catholic” in paragraph eight.

And though the story discusses Murray’s political aspirations and political career at length, they never once name his political party affiliation.  One guess what party he belongs to.

The democrats and the media (IBID) have been trying to put forth the illusion of a united front despite deep divisions between the DC elite and the outspoken and violent class of ‘progressives’ that follow full-blown socialists like the Berniecrats.

There have been a number of special elections since the coup d’etat administered by one Donald J. Trump.  They poured tens of millions of dollars into trying to show they’re still relevant.  Up until now they’ve come up empty and heartbroken.

They finally managed to flip 2 seats in statewide races and now feel like they’re on a roll. Nothing can stop them now. The future is theirs. The House will be back in their clutches after the midterms. How glorious it will be when San Fran Nan gets that big-ass gavel back so she and her homies can stop Trump’s efforts to strengthen America and put people back to work.

Two districts that voted for Donald Trump in last year’s presidential election selected Democrats for state legislature seats in New York and New Hampshire on Tuesday night.

NY Democrat Christine Pellegrino defeated Republican Thomas Gargiulo in a special election in a Long Island, New York, State Assembly district that Trump won by 23 percent.  Pellegrino served as a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention last year.

NH Democrat Edith DesMarais won a special election for a seat in New Hampshire’s GOP-controlled House of Representatives.  Trump won that district by 7 points.

The Montana Democrat turned 18 during Vietnam War, opposed it as a college student.

It is unlikely that Quist would have been able to acquire a medical deferment as he played basketball at the University of Montana. He would have been eligible for a student deferment as a college student, though he dropped out after starting a band.

Quist’s Republican opponent Greg Gianforte registered with the Selective Service System in 1980, according to records viewed by the Washington Free Beacon.
