Democrats make themselves look ridiculous AGAIN

The RNC’s Christmas greeting included this passage:

“Merry Christmas to all! Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King.”

Biblically illiterate secular humanists immediately concluded:

“The Republicans actually think that ‘this Christmas’ they have a ‘new King’ named . . . Donald Trump!”

This is what you get when you ban schools from studying the Bible.  I.e., people who do not know that “Gospel” literally means “good news” and that “the King” with a capital K is Jesus Christ.

Something awful is going to happen

Major metropolitan newspapers are running columns excusing the murder of the Russian ambassador to Turkey because Vladimir Putin is so awful.

It’s not a long drive from there to all the stories claiming Putin hacked the election for Donald Trump to some unhinged person trying to kill Donald Trump.

The media hasn’t missed an opportunity to condemn Republicans as “dangerous.” If Obama or Clinton or someone in the MSM who is influential with Democrats doesn’t condemn this rhetoric strongly and soon, then something awful is going to happen.

Maybe that’s what they want.

One thing we can be sure of … millions of McCain and Romney supporters were deeply disappointed that Obama won, but we didn’t try and trash Obama’s inaugurations.  Trump won’t be so lucky.

Pioneer Times at the Bunkhouse

Water heater stopped working a couple days ago. Had to wait until today to call the landlord. Having DW call, because I might say the wrong thing and get us evicted from Casa Pistol. The driveway didn’t get shoveled after the last snow, so SS went out and shoveled by hand yesterday. We’re heating water on the stove to wash with, so we don’t go near anybody who isn’t family. All in all, a wonderful day. Today eldest is coming with her family. She had a houseful yesterday so we’re getting together today, when we can spend more time together.
In other news, Christmas was better for millions of Christians than it has been for years. What makes the mood brighter is that soon we’ll be rid of the hateful creature that’s been ruining the country for the last eight years.

US President-elect Donald Trump has attorney Jason Greenblatt to be Special Representative for International Negotiations.

Greenblatt is the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Trump Organization. He was also one of Trump’s principal advisers on US-Israel relations during the election campaign. Greenblatt, an Orthodox Jew, has also served as an adjunct professor of management at Yeshiva University from January 2015 to May 2016.

Greenblatt also served as a security guard at a yeshiva in Judea and Samaria during the 1980s.

Sources told CNN that Greenblatt will be primarily in charge of US-Cuban relations, as well as the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Dealing with the Secular

In this, the holiest time of the year, people of faith gather family and friends close to share fellowship and celebrate the life of the only One who was without sin. In March of 2013 I was taken to the hospital and spent nine days being tended to by some incredible people. Years of abuse had taken its toll. I have severe emphysema, Type II diabetes, a pacemaker for an irregular heartbeat, and sleep apnea so severe I can’t sleep without a machine. After 40 years of smoking cigarettes I stopped cold turkey. It was time. My cardiologist said my choices were to quit and be able to enjoy my grandchildren outside or continue smoking and they could come see me sitting in a chair and connected to an O2 machine.

My grandchildren are all I have left. The only thing worth living for. I am most grateful that I’ve been granted another Christmas season to share with them. I live with the realization that time is running out so every day Almighty God allows me is truly a gift.

CHRIST is the reason for this season of love and joy. Secularists are missing the Spirit and busy themselves with things of this world. Even during this time the so-called progressives feel compelled to dispense their own brand of hatred and spite. They are consumed with it. It must be in their DNA.

Obama just threw you under the bus.  Trump, on the other hand, picked an ambassador to Israel who actually likes the Jewish State and hates Islamic terrorists. A Soros-funded group is livid, which to my mind speaks to the quality of the Trump appointment.

That’s why he didn’t want to do it in 2016 so it would injure Hillary and show to particularly American Jews, who tend to be Democratic, that it was all a farce. He does it on the way out, and that’s part of why it’s so disgraceful. He didn’t even — he hid it until there would be no consequence. Now he is out the door and the damage is done for years. That resolution cannot be undone.

Kickin’ It with the Kids

We had Miss Isabel and Miss Olivia as overnight guests. Grandma took them to WalMart yesterday, then they helped her prepare supper. Today we’re taking them to Aldi’s to pick up the last of the fresh things we need for dinner Sunday. Miss Isabel wants to be a chef, so we watched Chopped Junior and Cooks Vs. Cons on Food Network last night. Today we’re going to watch Disney’s Christmas Carol and my favorite version of it, the 1951 version with Alistair Sim. They’ve been trying to sneak a peek under the tree, but every kid does that. These little ones are what make life worthwhile.

Two Faced Obama

Technically, the gas and oil ban is not an executive order, because a little-known provision in the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act of 1953 says the president “may, from time to time, withdraw” federal waters that are not already leased from oil and gas development.

Mmmmmmmmm … call me crazy, but I don’t think indefinitely removing millions of acres of federal waters from oil and gas development quite fits the spirit of “from time to time.”

But that’s Obama all over.  Although he has not issued as many executive orders as former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, he has used them to do a lot more “ruling from the throne” with his famous pen.

He explained why in the same interview where he said Trump should go to the trouble to pass legislation.  See, HE only switched from getting bills passed to ruling by fiat because the stupid old voters went and stole his congressional majorities.

“In my first two years I wasn’t relying on executive powers because I had big majorities in the Congress and we were able to get bills done, get bills passed,” Obama said.

One of Obama’s sweeping, non-legislative, “I’ve got a pen” executive orders would have allowed millions of illegal immigrants to be shielded from deportations and apply for work authorization programs. The Supreme Court blocked it earlier this year.

Trump has said his use of executive orders will “serve a much better purpose” than what Obama’s done.

“I shot and killed Donald Trump”

National media yawns.

Rush Limbaugh noted that the case has received no national coverage in the U.S.  

“If this were Hillary Clinton, if there were some lunatic out there that had shot a woman and claimed that he was shooting Hillary Clinton, do you think the media all over America would be talking about it? And then condemning any and all supporters of Trump and Trump himself for the incendiary rhetoric that he’s engaged in and has inspired this violence. Because remember when [Rep.] Gabby Giffords got shot out there in Arizona, they tried to blame me and Sarah Palin. … Can you imagine the uproar? Can you imagine the wall-to-wall coverage?”

This murder happened in our back yard on December 8.  We passed the police road block while driving to the grocery store.  The local police did a great job talking the shooter down with no violence.  By the time we came home from the store, Barkley was in custody and the road block was down.
