Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain

In 1984, when Reagan was running for re-election against Mondale, the Washington Post published a poll saying Reagan’s lead in his home state of California had dropped alarmingly.

A short while later, in the greatest landslide victory in presidential history, Reagan won 49 states; in California, he won by more than 16 points. The only state he lost was where Mondale barely squeaked 49.72% to Reagan’s 49.54% out of his own homies.

When Reagan’s campaign manager tasked Ben Bradlee about the Washington Post’s “lousy polling methodology”, Bradlee shot back,

“Tough sh…t. … It’s my in-kind contribution to the Mondale campaign.”

Got that?

The EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of a major metropolitan newspaper had NO PROBLEM using his elite, protected position to PIMP the Democrat, rather than EDUCATE the voters!

The Obama campaign has been whining non-stop about the allegedly HUGE spending by rich Republicans who want to “buy” the White House for Romney and Ryan.

Apart from the fact that it’s mostly a load of unsubstantiated donkey doo, the campaigns being very close in total spending
http://news.webshots.com/photo/2358484380056011884jdKmUF, it also doesn’t count at all the “in kind contributions” of the left-wing media and their biased poll reporting.

Like Jimmy Carter in 1980, Obama is increasingly seen as a disaster in both economic and foreign policy. His Gallup job approval rating has been at or below 50% for nearly his entire time in office.

So … heck yes, Virginia. The polls showing Obama leading over Romney are nothing more than the grossly biased, in-kind contributions of the left-wing media.

Let me just repeat what I said yesterday. It is what it is. Accept it and work around it. THEY want the polls to get Republicans too bummed to bother voting; but those polls could just as easily make lazy Democrats stay at home.

Tell your fellow Romney supporters the polls are biased and they MUST VOTE.

And pray for bad weather!

Pray for bad weather!

We KNOW they’re skewing the polls to make Obama look like a shoo-in and discourage Republicans from going to the polls.

But I have a theory this could work against them … especially if the weather is lousy. Why get cold and wet if Teh Won is a shoo-in, right?

At PoliNation, I’ve been proposing, only half in jest, that we pray for bad weather. Tonight, I saw the article below, and I’m removing the half that was jest.

Political analysts admit that bad weather hurts Democrats, but has little effect on Republicans!

So do it! Pray for gray, cold, wet and windy. Beseech God to send sleet and snow showers to every Blue district in the nation.

And then make sure YOU and YOURS get to the polls. Share a dog sled if you have to. This election may well be the most important one in our nation’s history. It fershure is the most important you and I will see in our lifetimes.

October 26, 2010 – Bad news for Dems: Rain in the forecast for 2010 Election Day
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/house-races/125791-more-bad-news-for-dems-rain-in-the-forecast-for-election-day

In more bad news for Democrats, rain is in the forecast for much of the country on Election Day. According to Laurel Harbridge, a Northwestern University political science professor, GOP voters are not typically discouraged by rain. “Republicans are helped by bad weather … it does harm Democratic prospects.”

Other poll stories in the news:

It’s beginning to look a lot like 1980: “analysis shows most polls gave Reagan a narrow lead following the convention fallout, a lead which only blew open after the October debate. In 2012, the picture looks similarly close after the dust has settled from the party conventions” @
http://www.wnd.com/2012/09/its-beginning-to-look-a-lot-like-1980/

Unskewed polls show nearly 8 pt Romney lead: “Not a single major poll or approval/disapproval index favors Obama when Unskewed.com’s analysis is applied. The website says there is Democratic bias in polling because of over-sampling Democrats based on voter exit polls in the 2008 presidential election, when enthusiasm for a then relatively unknown but charismatic presidential candidate boosted Democratic Party voter registration and turnout to historic levels.” @ http://www.wnd.com/2012/09/unskewed-polls-show-nearly-8-point-romney-lead/

Sept 22 at Rasmussen

Rasmussen is running regular Obama vs. Romney polls nationally and in 11 key states won by Obama in 2008 and thought to be competitive in 2012. These states collectively hold 146 Electoral College votes.

In 2008, Obama won these states (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin) by a combined margin of 53% to 46%, virtually identical to his national margin.

September 22, 2012: After modest post-convention bounces for both candidates, the race is now back to where it was at the beginning of the month. Numbers include Leaners, those who initially say they are uncommitted but who lean towards one of the candidates when asked a follow-up question.

NATIONAL    Obama 46% vs. Romney 46% vs. Undecided 5% vs. Other 3%
SWING         Obama 48% vs. Romney 47% vs. Undecided 5%

The former Executive Director of the Florida Democratic Party has publicly renounced Obama and thrown his support behind Romney. Barney Bishop published an op-ed encouraging other Democrats to put aside party loyalty for the sake of the nation:

In every challenge that faces our nation, Obama sees a solution that can only come with another government-spending program. He fails to harness the ingenuity of entrepreneurs; instead he actually places obstacles, like burdensome regulation, in front of their path to progress.

[Obama’s] attacks on the work Mitt Romney did in private equity demonstrates a dangerous lack of understanding how important risk-taking investors are in the U.S. economy.

[Unlike Obama], Romney has a plan for cutting and capping the government’s spending to bring us balanced budgets. He gets that job creators need less regulation and stable tax policy in order to invest and grow.

THE FRIDAY GRUDGE

Posted by Pistol Pete

Great comments yesterday. It serves to remind us that politics isn’t the be-all and end-all.Each day presents a new list of challenges, mountains to be climbed and troubles to overcome. We face them as we must, with the help of faith, family and friends.Thankfully, this site is a refuge that offers them in abundance.Every day I sit down at my computer and cast my rhetorical bread upon the waters and the blessings always come back tenfold.Even when I’m in a bad mood,I know you folks come here to read the mindless drivel that flows from my warped brain through the keyboard and onto the screen.

PETE’S SHORTS:

Ben Bernanke yesterday announced he would implement QE3.He gives a list of convoluted reasons for it,but here’s the truth:it won’t work and he knows it.The first two rounds did nothing, this won’t either. What he is doing,in actuality,is dumping tens of billions of dollars backed by nothing onto the market to buy up worthless mortgages to prop up the market so it doesn’t crash under this president’s rule.It also serves to enrich Obama’s big Wall Street backers. After November it will be irrelevant to him.Either Obama will be reelected and it won’t matter,or Romney will be elected and he’ll get the blame.Count on it.

More information has come out about the Embassy murders in Libya.Apparently,Chris Stevenns was raped before they killed him.I saw photos this morning of bloody fingers streaked along the wall, when they dragged them out. They had been moved to a second building in the Embassy compound that was not guarded by the Marines, but the Libyan security forces who told the mob where they were. The SEALS who were killed had guns, but did not have live ammunition. It is this State Department’s policy that American forces in foreign countries carry unloaded weapons. In other words, they’re sitting ducks.

Our fearless leader has ordered a group of about 50 Marines to Libya as a rapid response team. What is it about liberals that makes them think a few score soldiers against tens of thousands of bloodthirsty savages is a fair fight?Remember Mogadishu? If any republican president acted as cavalierly as this shitheel has while the mideast erupts, the impeachment hearings would already have begun. When Obama comes out, lies through his teeth then turns his back on his adoring sycophants in the media it bothers them not a whit.Romney comes out to make a statement,as real leaders should, and all they can think of is how to screw him.

I have more to say,I always do.But it can wait.Enjoy.

‘THEN I TOLD THAT JEW I WAS TOO BUSY TO MEET HIM NEXT WEEK.AIN’T THAT A SCREAM?’

THE WEDNESDAY GRUDGE

Posted by Pistol Pete

I can’t say I’m pissed off today.I’m way,way beyond that.I will go into some detail in the links, but here’s the gist of it.

Owing to the significance of 9/11,both campaigns planned to pull down their ads for the day.One side kept its word.I’ll let you guess which side did not. Some goofball made a film mocking Muhammed the pedophile and the feral rats in Libya and Egypt used it as an excuse to attack the Egyptian embassy and burn the American flag. The embassy apologized for insulting Islam and the Obama Regime disavowed the apology! This morning J.Christopher Stevens, the US ambassador to Libya and three others were attempting to move to safety when a murderous savage fired a rocket into their car, killing all four.Predictably, our fearless leader issued a statement condemning the attack in the strongest possible terms.I’m sure that made the bastards feel really bad.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Israel formally asked for an audience with the president when he visits next week.Obama, regrettably turned him down citing scheduling conflicts. He’s going on Letterman that night. Can’t let foreign affairs stuff get in the way of his campaigning. The only interview he granted on 9/11 was to a radio rapper nicknamed ‘the pimp with a limp.’ Just to let his peeps know he’s down with the homeboys. The tragedy of it all is it will make not an iota of difference to acolytes blinded by ignorance or ideology.Well, maybe this will push gas prices to $4.50-$5.00/gallon.They would still blame Bush and Big Oil.

The media are scrambling this morning to find ways to deflect criticism from the limp-dicked nincompoop they foisted on the nation four years ago. That will take a Pulitzer-prize effort, but I’m sure they’re up to it.Hell, they’ve been doing it forever.

The First Birthers

Clintons Knew Obama Ineligible & DNC Primary Fraud – Claims Hollywood Producer [6:50]

Apr 3, 2012 – Most people believe that the Obama Birther Movement was started by Republicans and or the Tea Party.  Hollywood Producer Bettina Viviano says that the Clintons were the original birthers and that they only stopped talking about it when their daughter’s life was threatened.

This 2008 convention vote was about as meaningful as that fraudulent “2/3” vote the other night to put God and Jerusalem back into the platform.

Two more reasons to vote Republican

As if you needed them!

1. Democrats think they’re smarter, but they’re not.

2. Democrats think they’re morally superior, but they’re not.
