Were I a delusional,cold,unfeeling,aloof egomaniac convinced that I alone am the arbiter of all things, I would assume all of you await this post every day with bated breath,marveling at my sage wisdom,hanging on every syllable, just to make you wish you were half as smart as me.But then I would be the _resident and not a pot-bellied old white man trying to do my part to enlighten and entertain my friends.
Tomorrow is round two of the epic shtruggle between good and consummate evil.Barry claims he was ‘too nice’ at the last debacle and I look for him to try to pull a Biden by attacking Romney.This will endear him to the dregs who will vote for him no matter what,but do little,I believe, to help him with the independents he must have to con his way back into office.If Romney is as smart as I think he is,he will be well-prepared for the inevitable attacks on his 47% comments,Bain Capital, and blaming House Republicans for the Benghazi massacre.
Obama is desperate.He’s never faced an actual opponent where he had to stand on his own and not have his victory predetermined.I heard this morning there were rumors that the questions for this townhall-type forum were pre-screened,which is not supposed to happen.It would come as no surprise if it were true,since the media will do anything to save his bacon.In an intimate setting like this,Obama can seem human,almost lifelike, even though his forte is reading prepared speeches to adoring crowds.
Hopefully we see the real Mitt tomorrow night.Humble,resolute,in command of the facts,capable of offering solutions without the ‘malarkey’ we heard so much about from the Mouth That Roared last week.Obama knows he’s losing and desperation breeds contempt.When he starts to stutter and stammer for words he looks like a drowning man grasping for a lifeline.The Crowfoot will doubtless try to help him and Mitt must be ready to answer.This will not be a fair fight.They never are.

Chrissy or Bob:I had some success posting images by right-clicking to open a new window,uploading images and inserting into post.Now the scans will upload but won’t insert.Any expertise you might share would be much appreciated.When it comes to techie stuff I’m as sharp as a bowling ball.
Pete, I WISH I had a clue why it isn’t working for you. :o/. I found them in the gallery, click Show then Insert into Post and they loaded. The only things I can think to try are to dump your cache and do a cold reboot of your computer. I can tell you how if you use Firefox. One of my “usually works fine” things got all wonky and a techie told me to do that. It removed whatever had gotten corrupted and reloaded the original clean versions that had worked before. Chrissy P.S., I LOVE the Spongebob cartoon!! LOL

IKWYM about the “for adults” stuff. LOL My dds looooooved The Little Mermaid and watched it so often when they were young that we all had chunks of it memorized. One college break, our youngest went on a nostalgia binge, re-watching golden oldies, including TLM. I remember her repeatedly saying, “I don’t remember THAT!” LOL All those jokes they put in to keep the grown-ups amused went over her head when she was little. Remembering how shocked she was at some of the double entendres and by-play still makes me giggle. 🙂

Dear American Liberals,
We have stuck together since the late 1950s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course. Let’s just chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our separate ways, okay?
Dividing up our joint property should be easy.
Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take all the firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military. You can have all the peace-niks and war protesters.
We will also take the nasty, smelly oil, gas and coal industries, as well as the dangerous nuclear power plants. You can have all the wind, solar and bio-diesel you can find. We expect to keep Air Force One, Al Gore’s fleet of SUV’s and all the private jets of every Hollywood celebrity who has donated to Obama, since none of them will run on anything but fossil fuels. Good luck finding any “green” vehicle big enough to transport Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O’Donnell to their new, carbon-neutral digs.
We don’t like redistributive taxes, so you can keep those. We’ll take capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street.
We’ll keep the Bible, Judeo-Christian values and the right to invade and hammer dangerous people who threaten us or our allies. You can have NBC, Hollywood, Situational Ethics, Political Correctness and Shirley MacLaine.
You can also have the U.N. membership. We’re sick of paying for something we never use anyway.
We’ll take the Constitution, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, The National Anthem, God Bless America, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Red, White and Blue. You can have Jonathan Seagull, Imagine, I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya, We Are the World and the Obama Flag.
Admittedly, it will be more difficult to equably divide the land. We propose this be the last task given to the current Supreme Court. After the divorce is finalized and everyone has moved to whichever new nation they prefer, you can have your four fave judges and we’ll take ours. We’ll flip for Roberts.
