Two things about the videos linked below swayed me toward Newt.
One, I think he’s right that the only way to beat Obama is to nominate a candidate who is VERY different from Obama, which means not another John McCain RINO moderate like Romney.
Two, he has a strength of character, an SOB factor if you will, that makes me think he can deal with everything the Democrat Media Complex, Democrat legislators, and world class bullies would throw at him.
Santorum has the more exemplary personal life, but he’s nice. I’d love to have his family living in our neighborhood, going to our church, etc.
But I am just not seeing the warrior toughness needed to get elected and steer our country back to being the city on a hill the founders created.

The Left is calling them names for it, but as sure as the sun rises, if the Santorums were Pro-Choice Catholics like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, these exact same critics would be praising the Santorums for the depth of their insight and courage.
I think there is something deeply wrong with people whose opinions begin with Democrat good; Republican bad. And for the record, I don’t like the people on my end who knee jerk with Republican good; Democrat bad, either.
I wasn’t going to do a post today,I swear.I read Chrissy’s post and she is spot on.Blogging here is a release of pent-up emotion that would otherwise manifest itself in other,perhaps more destructive ways.I could envision breaking pretzel sticks like they were some liberals’ scrawny neck or kick my dog through a hedge.(I’d have to buy a dog first.)
Like most of you,I don’t waste my time on the liberal propaganda network,but I heard a clip on Don and Roma this morning that had me trembling with rage.First,it was that squinty little turd Alan Colmes mocking Santorum about how he dealt with the grief of losing a child.Last night that vile bastard Eugene Robinson was on the Butch Bitch show sneering about how the Santorums dealt with their child was ‘really weird.’ I just lost it.
Maybe a child dying a few hours after birth is nothing more than a real late term abortion to these liberal mouth-breathers,but each family should be able to deal with it in their own way.He opened his heart at a public meeting and shared his pain and these snarling hyenas pounced like the ravening scavengers they are.
I found one video clip that was 20 minutes long,then found another that is mercifully only two minutes.Watching that much of these two contemptible cretins is cruel and unusual punishment.Before you watch this,make sure you don’t have any sharp objects near.

Don’t plan on posting too much–we’ll see how it goes.
As I drove around this morning,alone with my thoughts as I delivered my papers, I got to thinking about Obama’s naked power grab.The more I thought about it the more he reminded me of Yul Brynner in The Ten Commandments.Both believed they descended from heaven to rule as some sort of god on earth.When the Pharaoh spoke he’d point a finger and say: ‘so let it be written-so let it be done.’ The scribes would scratch his words on parchment and issue his edicts to the unwashed masses who worshipped at the many temples he had built to himself.Notice the similarities?Pharaoh took half the straw from the Israelites and told them their quota of bricks must remain the same.Pharobama takes half of what his subjects have and scolds them for being greedy for not giving more for him to use as he will.
Both caused masses of humankind great hardship and deprivation merely because they felt it was their birthright to do so.The people should be grateful to be ruled by an omnipotent being and willingly sacrifice everything in service to him.

Before I saw this article I had it figured out.Pharobama is picking fights intentionally with congress and the senate knowing full well they won’t buy into it.Then he waggles a finger and wails they are a ‘do nothing’ congress.This was his stated plan all along.I recall reading somewhere when he finished his Hawaiian vacation he planned on getting the tax holiday extended for a year then devoting the rest of the year to campaigning for reelection.Maybe someday we’ll have a president who takes time out from running for office to actually do something for the country.
