Let us not forget that a whole bunch of the jobs they counted as created were temporary, like for the census. And a whole bunch more of the allegedly saved were actually government union jobs that were never at risk. States just took the stimulus money and used it to pay government salaries, so state politicians in office could shove off on to future politicians the messy business of dealing with the shortfalls in their budgets.
When the stimulus bill passed, Democrats controlled the House, the Senate and the Oval Office. Their plan has not merely failed; it has put our grandchildren into debt for billions that went almost entirely to paying off the people who helped get those Democrats elected. If our so-called leaders were working stiffs, they would be indicted, convicted and sent to prison for what they did. Instead, they are going to retire with cushy life-time pensions they voted to give themselves that include much better health plans than any of us will ever have.
If you are not angry, it is only because you have not been paying attention.

There used to be an institution called court jester or king’s fool. This person was generally some kind of entertainer, juggler, tumbler and master of the one-line zinger. He acted as the court’s conscience, poking fun at bad decisions and personal shortcoming in people who were so powerful, no one else dared criticize.
There is another old tradition, the village idiot. This person was cared for by general village charity and served an important function in being less capable and competent than everyone else. He made people feel good about themselves even when they didn’t amount to much otherwise.
Since Democrats seem to spend most of their time criticizing their betters and making themselves ridiculous with their scandals and faux pas, I recommend we designate them to fill these important societal functions in our government. But let’s get the balance right. Lots of competent and capable people plus one or two fools and idiots per department. Okay?
I am reminded of the months and months of ObamaCare debating when the Left blatted that Republicans did not have a plan of their own. The Left Stream Media backed them up on their big fat lie. Republicans put forward a bunch of plans. The Democrat majority leaders refused to let any of them on to the floor.
I’m thinking if one of the Republican health care plans had ever seen the light of day, some Republicans would have voted for it. Since Democrats have the majority in the Senate, they could have passed the Obama budget plan. Instead they ALL voted NAY. So pathetic.
