On Monday, January 29, 2019, actor Jussie Smollett told Chicago police that two guys in MAGA hats physically and verbally assaulted him, poured bleach on his head, and put a noose around his neck.
- The alleged incident occurred at 2 a.m. during the polar vortex.
- Bleach starts to freeze at about 19 degrees Fahrenheit.
