“Bill of Love” Will Doom Trump
Donald Trump held an unprecedented meeting with leaders from both parties yesterday, had it televised, and invited the press. Had he gone on stage during the campaign and said “As far as amnesty, whatever the two parties come up with I’ll gladly sign,” he’d never have been elected. Maybe he has an ulterior motive that I’m too stupid to see but it seems that since Kelly and McMaster got rid of all his conservative advisers he’s started drifting left on many things. Stopping the immigation tsunami was one of the main reasons he was elected.

“We are here today to advance bipartisan immigration reform that serves the needs of the American families, workers and taxpayers. It’s DACA,” Trump said a meeting on DACA at the White House. “Maybe we can do something. We have a lot of good people in this room, a lot of people that have a great spirit for taking care of people we represent.”
“I have great confidence . . . if they come to me with things I’m not in love with, I’m going to do it because I respect them,” he said.

President Donald Trump suggested Tuesday that an immigration agreement could be reached in two phases — first by addressing young immigrants and border security with what he called a “bill of love,” then by making comprehensive changes that have long eluded Congress.
My head is spinning from all the things that were said by the president and others in that room in the course of an hour and a half,” said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill. “But the sense of urgency, the commitment to DACA, the fact that the president said to me privately as well as publicly, ‘I want to get this done,’ I’m going to take him as his word.”

Trump meeting with congressional leaders was both political genius and worrisome.
People got to watch him in action running a meeting and in control, the master of ceremonies presiding over the congressional leadership from both parties.
It must have killed CNN to have to admit Trump was in control:
So at many levels, it was a genius political move.
BUT, BUT, BUT
As I was watching it, all I could keep thinking was, “here comes amnesty.”
The code words were all there, particularly “comprehensive immigration reform.”
The political dividing line is “pathway to citizenship.” If that’s in either a DACA bill or ultimate comprehensive reform, it’s amnesty. And it’s what the old Gang of 8 members still want.
Trump said he’ll “take the heat.”
The “worst” view is that the Amnesty Train is rolling down the tracks, and to use a metaphor from the campaign, Trump will shoot his core campaign promise on immigration in the middle of 5th Avenue, figuring his base will stick with him anyway.

Report: DACA Amnesty ‘Would Increase’ Number of Anchor Babies on Welfare
As Breitbart News previously reported, there are an estimated 4.5 million United States-born children who were given birthright citizenship despite at least one of their parents being an illegal alien. These children are commonly known as “anchor babies,” as they are able to eventually bring their foreign relatives to the U.S. legally through the process known as “chain migration.”
This estimate does not include anchor babies over the age of 18 or those who are living abroad with their deported parents.
A CBO report, estimating the impact of giving amnesty to the nearly 800,000 to 3.5 million illegal aliens who are enrolled or eligible for the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, finds that such a plan would end up increasing the number of anchor babies who participate in federal benefit programs every year:

The Significance of Suffering
Jim Caviezel made a surprise appearance Wednesday evening at the SLS18 (Student Leadership Summit 2018) conference sponsored by The Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS).
Caviezel played Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson’s movie, The Passion of the Christ.
- During the film shoot, the actor suffered a lung infection and double pneumonia. Plus, he says, “Going to work every day with only one eye functioning … gives you headaches.”
- It would usually take 8-10 hours to put Jim Caviezel into the scourged makeup, which also left him with severe headaches plus skin infections.
- The film was shot during the dead of winter in Italy, with 25-degree temperatures and 30-knot winds. In one scene while hanging on the Cross, the actor’s skin looks blue. This was not makeup or a special effect, but hypothermia.
- During the filming, the 150 lb cross dropped on the actor’s shoulder, causing it to be separated. He was also whipped twice by accident and has a 14-inch scar on his back. The scenes are in the movie.
- He was also struck by lightning and, after the film was finished, had to have heart surgery to repair damage from the lightning strike.
- The figure of Christ during the crucifixion is actually Jim Caviezel in many scenes. The movie’s make-up effects creator/producer Keith VanderLaan also forged an articulated, rubber stand-in for Caviezel that even made breathing motions. It was used for dangerous shots and also for certain wide shots to allow the actor some physical relief.
- Mel Gibson had a Canadian priest, Fr. Stephen Somerville, celebrate the Traditional Roman Catholic Latin Mass of the Apostolic Rite for the film crew each day before production began.
- Because of their experiences during film production, many of the cast and filming crew converted to Catholicism after the completion of the film. Among those who converted was an atheist who played Judas Iscariot.

President Trump attended the national championship game on Monday night between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs.
Right before the national anthem played, Trump was escorted on to the middle of the field by young members of the military.
As the bands of both teams played the anthem, the soldiers saluted and Trump stood with his hand on his heart.
The crowd Monday night went wild.

Bundy vindicated
A federal judge dismissed all charges against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, his two sons and another man on Monday after accusing prosecutors of willfully withholding evidence from Bundy’s lawyers.
U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro cited “flagrant prosecutorial misconduct” in her decision to dismiss all charges against the Nevada rancher and three others.
Bundy’s supporters cheered as he walked out of court a free man, hugging his wife. He said he’d been jailed for 700 days as a “political prisoner” for refusing to acknowledge federal authority over the land around his cattle ranch.
Navarro said Monday it was clear the FBI was involved in the prosecution and it was not a coincidence that most of the evidence that was held back – which would have worked in Bundy’s favor – came from the FBI.

U.S.—Moments after Oprah Winfrey gave a rousing speech at the Golden Globe Awards Sunday night in what some claimed to be the soft launch of her 2020 presidential bid, the nation’s progressives declared they were now in favor of TV personalities running for president. 
Millions of Democrats who denounced Donald Trump for his lack of experience throughout the 2016 race announced they had changed their minds overnight and are now fully supportive of a television star running the country.
“Even though I claimed Trump was ‘an unqualified television celebrity’ all through 2016 and that we needed a real leader with real experience in the White House, I have now changed positions. We need Oprah in 2020!” one woman in California told reporters. “I’m with her!”
At publishing time, millions of Democrats had also reversed positions on ridiculously wealthy celebrities running for the presidency upon discovering Oprah Winfrey is worth over $3 billion.

Media Temper Tantrums
The left-wing Democrat propaganda machine was used to meek, compliant Republicans whom they would invite on their crappy shows and mistreat terribly, and the victim would say nothing. Those were good times for them.
But then something happened that they were totally unprepared for. A man got elected president who was not of the DC swamp; they didn’t make him and they can’t destroy him.
When he had a successful reality show, they all loved him. That changed the minute he declared as a Republican. Ironically, they helped him with his campaign because they thought he’d be a running joke for them to make fun of. Then real reality whacked them all upside the head.
They have maintained a vicious, nonstop assault on that man, the likes of which is unprecedented. He can’t be rattled, can’t be thrown off his game. He looks for these characteristics in his spokespeople. If you’re not tough, the press will eat you alive. They love to dish it out but definitely can’t take it.
Case in point: Jake Tapper got into it with Trump spokesman Stephen Miller. Like a spoiled child, when Tapper was getting his lunch eaten, he threw a hissy fit and ended the interview abruptly.

Here is a sampling of Tapper’s unrelenting cheap shots against Miller:

…”I think the viewers right now can ascertain who’s hysterical.”
…”because it’s my show and I don’t want to do that.”
…”Stephen, Stephen, Stephen, settle down, settle down, settle down.”
As Miller continued to get the best of him, Tapper retreated to where he frequently retreats when rattled: spreading disinformation, which came in the form of this poorly worded-cheap piece of Very Jake News…
Then the Tapper meltdown occurred…
…”Stephen, I get it. You have one viewer you care about right now [Trump] and you’re being obsequious right now [garbled] in order to please him.”…
Obviously angry and over-matched, even as Miller was talking, Tapper abruptly ended the interview with…
“I think I’ve wasted enough of my viewers’ time.”
While Ann Coulter is correct that it was actually Tapper who was playing to an audience of one — his Svengali Jeff Zucker — hats off to Miller, who brilliantly pressured Tapper to a point where the mask slipped more than just a little.
As we saw on Election Night, when the pressure is on, Tapper reveals his true left-wing self, and it is never pretty:

CNN Claims They Had To Force Stephen Miller To Leave After Heated Interview With Jake Tapper
White House policy advisor Stephen Miller was cut off during his interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday after an intense back-and-forth led to Tapper ending the segment. Now CNN claims that they had to escort Miller out of the building.
A CNN official told the Washington Examiner that Miller was supposedly asked “politely” to leave the set of “State of the Union” multiple times, but he ignored CNN’s requests. In response, the network called security to escort him out.
This is not the first time that Miller has gotten into it with CNN. In August, Miller took on CNN’s Jim Acosta during a White House press conference while speaking on immigration, pointing out his “cosmopolitan bias” and hammering Acosta for his lack of knowledge on the subject.
