The Object of War

The object of war is to kill people and break things.
Barack Obama was no more qualified to lead fighting men than I would be to be in a Miss America pageant. He hated the troops, as most democrats do. Personal hubris and an overinflated ego would not permit him to listen to the military people who have actually faced live fire. He thought he was the smartest person in any room he walked into. Turning our military into a social justice experiment cost many good people their lives. When soldiers were prosecuted for doing their jobs it makes them hesitate before pulling a trigger. That can get them killed, just the same as the policemen Obama also despised.
Others can confirm more positively than I how grateful our forces were when Trump was elected. He was a business man and not a politician. He was also smart enough to listen to the generals he chose to lead. He wants to win. Afghanistan has become a mess, much like Iraq became after Obama announced he was running away, wasting billions of taxpayer dollars and thousands of lives, and handing the country over to the bloody bastards from ISIS, which he seemed to have much adoration for.
Trump went before the nation yesterday and made it perfectly clear what our goal was.

With every passing day I become more and more repulsed by the way a once-proud nation has degenerated to the point I can hardly read a headline without some level of nausea. I had fully planned to stop posting altogether, except for posting images. The week Chrissy was sick I posted what I thought was some pretty good stuff. For days, there was no evidence that there was anybody around but myself. This site has meant an awful lot to me. I’ve made lasting friends who have been there through times thin and flush. Conversations were once lively and fun. Now it seems there’s an echo of emptiness. I will try to continue as I can, but time will tell for how long.

The Day That Humor Died

We lost two people over the weekend who were referred to as comedians. Humor, it seems, is generational. People laughed at vaudeville, Laurel and Hardy, Ernie Kovacs, the Three Stooges, Lenny Bruce, and BETs Def Comedy Jam. Some people think holding up a bloody piece of meat that looks like the president’s head is rip-roaringly funny.
I never saw Dick Gregory’s live act. I did see him on Johnny Carson and a few other guest spots, mostly there to bash white people in the name of civil rights. I never found anything funny about black comics whose entire schtick was bashing white people. With the ingrained antipathy toward caucasians they have a ready-made audience. The same people who idolize rappers, drug use, and murdering police officers.
When Jerry Lewis, the son of vaudevillians, was paired with a handsome Italian crooner named Dean Martin, magic happened. They were perfect together. Martin, the straight man to Lewis, playing a zany lunatic. They made history together. After they split Martin went on to a successful career as a singer and Las Vegas icon. Lewis wrote, directed, acted, and produced one hit movie after another. He had total control because the studios knew anything he touched was box office gold.
Lewis had another burning passion, and that was children. Danny Thomas founded Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and Lewis raised hundreds of millions of dollars to fight the child-killing affliction of muscular dystrophy through his Labor Day Telethons that aired for years. In the early days, it was the only program that was on long after the other stations had signed off for the night.
The most emotional moment of the event for me was the time when, after decades apart, Dean Martin walked onstage and hugged his old friend. I also remember Lewis grousing about how his son, Gary, and his band, the Playboys, who had a hit in the 60’s called “This Diamond Ring,” would practice at his house and make such a racket he made them leave.
Dick Gregory will be remembered as a minor talent. Jerry Lewis will be remembered by those of us who grew up laughing along with a man who was blessed with a multitude of talents and did them all well.

Hate racism? Tear down the statue of Margaret Sanger!

The Progressive Left claims to want an honest discussion about America’s past.  Okay, let’s discuss Planned Parenthood’s revered founder, Margaret Sanger, who would have fit right in with the racist and anti-Semitic mob in Charlottesville last weekend. 

As Jonathan van Maren explains, “I’ve been writing about the alt-right for over a year now, first detailing their anti-Semitism and later examining their pro-choice position on abortion.”  [Excerpts and link below.)

Richard Spencer is the neo-Nazi who actually coined the term “alt-right.” He runs the website AltRight.com where he has affirmed that the alt-right does not believe in human rights and, like Margaret Sanger (founder of Planned Parenthood), does believe in eugenics and the extermination of non-whites and the disabled.

Mr. Alt-Right Spencer says he was inspired by Lothrop Stoddard, a long-dead Klansman who thought that African Americans posed a threat to “white civilization” and wrote a white supremacist tome called The Rising Tide of Color.

Stoddard was also so beloved by the Nazis for his racial theories that he even met personally with Adolf Hitler. He also worked closely with Margaret Sanger who appointed him to the board of Planned Parenthood’s forerunner, the Nazi-friendly Birth Control League.

  • In her book The Pivot of Civilization, Sanger advocated for the elimination of those she considered to be “human weeds,” stating that she was calling “for the cessation of charity, for the segregation of morons, misfits, and maladjusted,” and additionally, the sterilization of “genetically inferior races.”

Planned Parenthood condemns the Alt-Right.  Yet Planned Parenthood is the nation’s leading killer of black lives and regularly donates to and bestows awards on America’s Democrats.

It is absolutely ridiculous to associate President Trump with the KKK.

The Ku Klux Klan is the name of three distinct movements in the United States that have advocated and employed terrorism—both physical assault and murder—against groups or individuals whom they opposed.

President Trump has repeatedly and forcefully condemned terrorism of every kind.

The first Klan (late-1860s to mid-1870s) was founded in the South by Democrats who were furious that they lost the Civil War. It sought to overthrow the Republican state governments in the South during the Reconstruction Era, especially by using violence against African American leaders.

The second Klan (1915 to mid-1920s) was rooted in local Protestant communities, particularly in urban areas of the Midwest and West, during a time of high immigration from mostly Catholic nations. It primarily targeted Catholics and Jews.

President Trump’s wife is Catholic; his daughter is Jewish.

The third and current manifestation of the KKK emerged after WWII, in the form of localized and isolated groups angry about the successes of the Civil Rights Movement. The most optimistic estimate of its total membership as of 2016 was a measly 6,000 nationwide.

Virtually every Christian denomination has officially denounced the KKK.

At publishing time, a jealous Mark Zuckerberg had put his best programmers on the job of attempting to reverse-engineer Google’s new thought correction algorithm for use on his own social network, sources confirmed.
