There is a rally today of people of pallor who are opposed to Social Justice reactionaries trying to erase our past history by removing “racist” statues of Confederate generals. The media refers to them as FAR RIGHT…FAR RIGHT…FAR RIGHT.

University of Virginia police dispersed a gathering of far-right protesters on the Charlottesville, Va. campus Friday night ahead of a planned demonstration by white nationalists, white supremacists and alt-right groups on Saturday.
Police arriving on the scene declared the protest on Friday an “unlawful assembly” and told demonstrators to disperse, video footage of the gathering shows.
The protest planned for Saturday has ignited intense opposition in Charlottesville, and large counter-demonstrations are expected to materialize in response.
Even on Friday, a group of protesters turned out in opposition to the far-right demonstration, chanting “black lives matter.”

Stay away from Charlottesville rally, urges Va. governor

IT SEEMS SURREAL THAT THE MOST VICIOUS PUNK IN POLITICS WOULD LABEL ANYBODY AS AN “EXTREMIST”

RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe urged Virginians to stay away in a statement released hours before a planned “Unite the Right” rally that could bring thousands of white nationalists, neo-Confederates, alt-right activists, and counter protesters to Charlottesville.
“In advance of [Saturday’s] rally there have been communications from extremist groups, many of which are located outside of Virginia, who may seek to commit acts of violence against rally participants or law enforcement officials.
Many of the individuals coming to Charlottesville are doing so in order to express viewpoints many people, including me, find abhorrent.
The city became an ideal protest site for white nationalists.

“This entire community is a very far left community that has absorbed these cultural Marxist principles advocated in college towns across the country, about blaming white people for everything,” said Jason Kessler, who organized the “Unite the Right” rally.

Kessler, a Charlottesville resident, blames what he calls “the anti-white hatred that’s coming out of the city.”
Charlottesville, which has a population of 47,000, had 80 percemt of its voters choose Hillary Clinton last year.
The city has not been known as a hotspot for white nationalism. There aren’t historical precedents to the current white nationalist gatherings in Charlottesville, local historian Rick Britton said in an email

Don’t mess with God’s saints!

St. Katharine Drexel was the first person born a U.S. citizen to be made a saint. And what a saint she was!

When St. Katharine Drexel Defeated the KKK

Born into a wealthy family in 1858, when St. Katharine got older she took a vow of poverty, founded a new order of religious sisters, and devoted her great wealth to serving those discriminated against in the U.S., namely Native Americans and African Americans.

In the early 20th century, this got her into a lot of trouble, especially with the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). The KKK was not only notoriously anti-black, but also anti-Catholic. So you can imagine how they felt about Catholic sisters helping blacks!

One thing that St. Katharine’s order did was open up schools for Native American and African American children.

In 1922, a local KKK group turned against one of their schools in Beaumont, Texas and “threatened to tar and feather the white past[or] at one of Drexel’s schools and bomb his church.”

So what did the sisters do? They prayed, of course!

And here’s what happened, according to one telling of the story: “The nuns prayed and days later, a tornado came and destroyed the headquarters of the KKK killing two of their members.”

The result? “The Sisters were never threatened again.”

Some days our little garden draws a lot of visitors, other days not too many. There is no way to gauge what people are interested in or looking for, because they’re mostly lurkers. That’s fine, most people never comment on anything publicly. Except me, because I don’t much care what anybody thinks. That much should be obvious after more than 6 1/2 years here. As you may or may not be aware, some nitwits flew a chicken balloon over the White House that was supposed to resemble President Trump. He wasn’t even there, but that didn’t stop these retards. Given the superior intellect and imagination of conservatives, they jumped all over this idiotic stunt.

After liberal protesters set up a 30-foot inflatable chicken outside the White House, President Trump’s supporters joyfully appropriated the image for their memes.
On Reddit, Trump fans rendered the chicken into meme-worthy images, setting free a torrent of pro-Trump chicken memes.

Trump’s Historic First 200 Days

If you only get your news from the MSM and Left-wing social media, you are no doubt TOTALLY SURE that President Trump is carrying our country to Hell in a basket.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Stock Market: Since the 2016 presidential election in November, the Dow, a benchmark index of stock performance, has set 48 record-setting closing highs. Millions of Americans are benefiting in their retirement savings accounts.

2017_08 Trump Bull Market

National Debt: Our national debt has decreased by $102 Billion since Trump’s inauguration. During Obama’s first 200 days, it increased by more than $1 Trillion. Trump also shaved $1.6 billion off the cost of his Air Force One and the military’s F-35 airplanes.

Generosity: President Trump donated his first quarter paycheck to fund Antietam battlefield restorations and his second quarter paycheck to fund a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) camp.

Inflation: US inflation rate decreased 1.6% in June, an eight month low. This is in part due to President Trump’s energy policies that are making gas and electricity cheaper which, in turn, means Americans have more to spend on other stuff..

Manufacturing: The US Manufacturing Index soared to a 33 year high, the best number since 1983 under President Reagan.

Trade: Trump also killed the TPP, opened up our exports of beef and LNG gas to China, and made Mexico drop the amount of refined sugar it exports to us, which will help our sugar mills sell more.

Regulations: Candidate Trump promised he’d remove 2 old regulations for each new one he implemented. As president, his administration has so far removed SIXTEEN old regulations for each new one it has implemented. He also pulled out of the Paris accord, which was burdening our economy unfairly.  Removing burdensome government regulations allows companies to spend less time and money on compliance and more on areas that create new jobs.

Jobs: During Trump’s first 200 days, U.S. employers added more than one million new jobs. During that same period in Obama’s administration, we lost more than four million.

Housing: There have been nearly twice as many US housing sales in the past couple of months as there were under President Obama in 2009 during the same time period. Also, houses are on the market for only an average of 45 days. (In 2011, it was 84 days.)

Government Assistance: During Obama’s eight years, the number of food stamp recipients rose by 10.7 million. After just 200 days under Trump, that number has dropped by more than 1.1 million.

Illegal Aliens: The numbers sneaking across our borders has dropped 67%. SCOTUS held up Trump’s travel ban and ICE has arrested 66,000 illegals, most of them violent criminals, including 6,000 members of the vicious MC-13 gang.

Women: With Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Trump launched the United States-Canada Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders.

Unemployment: The Unemployment Rate decreased from 4.8% to 4.3%. During Obama’s first 200 days, it increased from 7.8% to 9.5%.

Keep in mind that, since President Clinton decreed that “Discouraged Workers” were not “Unemployed”, the “Unemployment Rate” has tended to increase when the economy improves, due to discouraged workers becoming hopeful enough to begin searching for jobs again. The opposite also occurs. As the economy worsens, the “Unemployment Rate” can actually go down as people who want to work become too discouraged to continue seeking employment. This is why I prefer the “Percent of Americans Employed” metric. Clinton didn’t screw with that one, so it’s still meaningful across multiple administrations and without tedious explanations about why it’s stupid.  This is also why both the decrease under Trump and the increase under Obama reflected less of the good and bad changes in their respective economic policies.
