Thursday, May 9, 2013, was the first opportunity for reporters to ask questions of White House spokesman Jay Carney following the explosive hearings on Wednesday about the White House’s cover up following the Benghazi terror attack last September.

The reporters assigned to cover the White House saw fit to ask Mr. Carney only ONE QUESTION about the hearings. And the question, at the very end of the briefing, did not address the actual substance of the hearings at all:

Q. Ambassador Pickering has told some news outlets that he’s willing to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee. Is there any expectation from the White House that he will? And furthermore, Dick Cheney was on the Hill this morning and he was talking to folks on the Hill, and he said that Secretary Clinton should be subpoenaed if necessary. Any response first on Pickering, and then secondly to Vice President Cheney’s comments?

We The People depend on these journalists to help us keep an eagle eye on our top elected officials.

So what did they decide was MORE IMPORTANT than a White House COVER UP up involving a TERRORIST attack on a U.S. EMBASSY that left four Americans DEAD?

Q Jay, speaking also about the Senate, Republicans have submitted some 1,000 questions to Gina McCarthy and the EPA and there appear to be some delays in that process. Are you concerned about the nomination — about her nomination specifically? And what is the reason for the EPA not answering those questions?

Q McConnell and Boehner today sent a letter to the President saying they’ll be declining to recommend appointments to IPAB. Is there any concern that public confidence in IPAB will suffer because there won’t be any Republican input?

Q Jay, is the White House preparing for a conflict with congressional Republicans over the debt ceiling this summer? And do you expect that tax reform would be a part of a deal over that at all?

Q When is the President meeting with entrepreneurs and also the local residents? Is it before the tour, after the tour? The schedule wasn’t very clear.

We are finding out Cankles kept the counter-terrorism unit out of the loop the night of the Benghazi massacre.We also know timelines were doctored and susan Rice’s talking points were scrubbed.Any of this would have been grounds for impeachment berfore Obama and will be again after he’s gone.they accomplished what they wanted,was to intimidate witnesses and keep a lid on their traitorous acts until after Barry cheated his way back into office.Of course,Reichsmarshal Heinrich Holder will make sure his superiors are protected.Sure,we know Hillary is as crooked as a dog’s hind leg.The evidence of her complicity in these murders may give a few voters pause in 2016 before they vote for she and that horny hick she’s got papers on.Unless we can somehow change  the culture,that’s the road we’re headed down.

April 23, 2013: CBS reports that five House committees have released their interim report on Benghazi. The committees are Armed Services, Judiciary, Foreign Affairs, Intelligence and Oversight.

The report says Clinton lied during her testimony to Congress. Documents bearing her signature prove that she knew about the request for additional security and personally ordered that security to be reduced, thereby leaving the consulate wide open to the attack that killed Ambassador Stevens and 3 other Americans.

Hillary Lied People Died

Democrats are whining that the report is just an evil Republican plot to make the Obama administration look bad.

The MSM will be all over this as soon as they get done reporting on the Kermit Gosnell abortion trial.

On “The Daily Show” on Thursday, host Jon Stewart grilled United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice about the Obama administration’s response to the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last year.

[Ed Driscoll asks, “Why does Stewart — who plays a Chevy Chase-inspired parody of an anchorman, so often ask the questions that self-described “real” journalists simply won’t?”]

He began by asking about the explanation she provided for the attacks during appearances on Sunday political talk shows just days after the incident. “I shared the best information that our intelligence community had at the time, and they provided the talking points that I used. And they were wrong in one respect, we learned subsequently, and that is that there wasn’t in fact a protest,” Rice said.

Stewart pressed her to explain why there was so much back-and-forth between government agencies and why no one seemed to have the straight story.

“There’s always confusion when you have a tragedy of that sort,” she said. “The bigger tragedy is that we’ve spent all of these months trying to figure out the origin of some talking points, which were cleared at the highest levels of the intelligence community, and in my opinion not enough time doing the service that we owe to our fallen colleagues.”

Today’s blog by Dan Bubalo is kinda long, but replete with outstanding snark. In the interests of giving y’all a snort or two, without wasting a lot of your time reading stuff you already agree with, I’ve parsed and pruned out the best. I also added ‘toons. N.b., You should now stop eating and drinking, as it is very uncomfortable to snort stuff out your nose and it makes a mess on your keyboard besides.

During the foofaraw of last week’s “coronation”, Michelle Obama wolfed down food in a way that sparked wonder whether the finest meal she’d ever had previously was at Popeye’s Fried Chicken. Her demeanor was as an affront to horses everywhere and certainly didn’t pass muster with the someone who fancies herself queen. She has yet to utter the phrase, “Let them eat cake,” but only because she intends to hoard it all for herself.
