50 Years Ago Today

Anybody at least my age remembers the day it happened. I was a senior in high school. The principal came on the PA system during homeroom and asked just for that day for the white kids and the black kids not to talk to each other. It was far different back then. Drugs hadn’t become a scourge, there was not a problem with violence and teen pregnancies. It was before the teachers, who unionized in the early 60s, had switched from educating students to pushing a far left liberal agenda the way they do now.
What sickens me is that the far left liberals and race baiters use his birthday to shout their racial hatred ‘in his name.’ In truth, King would be shunned by today’s Democrat party. He was a Republican who the Kennedy brothers had the FBI wiretap. He was not perfect. There was talk about him having extramarital affairs. A lot of people did, but it was not widely heard about thanks to the fact there was no alternative to the leftist media.
He preached pacifism and nonviolence but it seemed to follow wherever he went. White supremacy was much more pronounced then, especially in the South. Those white power advocates WERE DEMOCRATS — a fact glossed over in today’s telling of history. I heard a sound bite this morning of some black person, in a calm voice, talking about Black Lives Matter and Colin Coppernuts carrying on King’s legacy. His was a legacy of peace and racial harmony. Today’s racialists have no interest in coexistence. Their power lies in the feeble-minded who trust them strictly on the basis of their skin color who feed them the philosophy of hatred and resentment.
I recall rumors of Jesse Jackass being with him when he was killed. He allegedly took his shirt off, dipped it in King’s blood, and waved it like a bloody flag. That elevated him to some stature in the black community where he honed his skills in extorting money from white corporations and commanding his army of followers.

Trump Supporter Attacked By 2 Women At DC Restaurant, Police Say

According to Fox 5, the victim reported to police that she was involved in a conversation with the two women and a man who was with them, and at one point she stated, “I support Donald Trump.”
The victim said she drove herself to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, for treatment of her injuries, according to police.
A silent, 43-second surveillance video clip from police shows a woman wearing a white jacket and crop top lunging toward a person off-camera who appears to be recording her. The woman apparently tries to snatch the camera as the video image shook.

Walker warns GOP ‘at risk of a #BlueWave’ after Democratic win in Wisconsin court race

Donald Trump Proposes Guarding Southern Border with the Military

A Sacred Obligation

Tomorrow is primary day here in Illinois. Thinking that a Republican vote in this state makes any difference is like thinking that peeing in Lake Michigan will raise the water level. The turnout is always low for these primary elections but not voting is to betray the sacrifice of those who gave all to secure this most precious right to each of us.

Those who think that this state isn’t every bit as corrupt as New York or California should think again.

A few tidbits :

  • Lisa Madigan, daughter of House Speaker Mike Madigan, the real power here, is not running for Attorney General again after two terms.
  • Pat Quinn, a shameless kisser of union asses, left the governor’s mansion in January of 2015. Now he’s back, looking to jump back on the taxpayer gravy train. When he was elected in 2008, he won two — count ’em, TWO — of the 102 counties in the state. St. Clair County, which is across the Mississippi from St. Louis, (East Saint Louis is a ghetto…the entire city), and of course, Cook County. He went to the unions and promised two years with no layoffs and raises. He also passed a “temporary” state tax increase on individuals and corporations. On his last day in office, he got the state senate to make the tax increases permanent. It passed by one vote … secured by promising an outgoing Democrat who had been voted out a six-figure, no-show government job. That’s how they do things here.
  • A successful investment banker, Republican Bruce Rauner was elected in 2014. After decades of profligate spending by the Democrats who run this state top to bottom, it took about 10 minutes for the Chicago Tribune and Sun Times to blame Rauner for the skyrocketing deficits. There has been an ongoing fight over spending, with Rauner trying to hold the line as Madigan spends, spends, spends. Rauner vetoed one spending bill and the Senate quickly overrode his veto.
  • After the override, Rauner seemed to give up. He’s gone along with everything the Democrats demand, including making this a sanctuary state. Jeanne Ives is running to replace him. The polls show him ahead, but a light turnout favors people who are motivated. There are a lot of us who are sick of Rauner bending over whenever Madigan tells him to.
  • On the Democrat side, the two main contestants for the Democrat nomination are a fat pig named JB Pritzger, another union shill (they don’t come any other way here) and Chris Kennedy. Yup, we don’t have enough liberal jackasses here, we had to import RFK’s son.

Republicans will never make a lot of difference, since the Democrats rule Cook County, and by default, the rest of the state. Still, far better men than me have secured my right to express my opinion the only way those in power will notice.

Fleeing the Land of Lincoln
They are fleeing Illinois in jaw-dropping numbers because its citizens have the unique distinction of residing in one of the worst governed and most over-taxed states in the country. They drive on roads that are falling apart and are forced to bear the costs of an incomprehensible level of state and municipal corruption.

Illinois politicians use the law not to protect and serve, but to line the coffers of state and local governments as well as their own pockets; Chicago’s police are pretty good tax collectors, which they proved a few years ago when Mayor Rahm Emanuel jiggered with the city’s traffic cameras to allow them to issue thousands of more tickets to unsuspecting motorists, but seem unable to protect that city’s citizenry from thugs and thieves.

A study of the relationship between the state’s coming collapse and the cozy decades-long relationship its politicians have enjoyed with public employee unions in which they have traded the public’s money for campaign contributions, outright bribes and votes reveals a major reason why things are so completely out of control in the Land of Lincoln.

Forewarned Is Forearmed

When I woke up Wednesday morning and saw that the race in PA-18 was too close to call, I knew Lamb was going to win. Democrats never lose close races…never. You have to be outside the margin that they can get away with cheating in order to prevail. Ballot stuffing, discounting overseas ballots, and precincts with 200 registered voters reporting more than a thousand ballots. All in a day’s work when you have no positive message.

Republicans Say PA Voting Machines ‘Miscalibrated’, Saccone Votes Changed To Lamb

Among the listed concerns are “miscalibrated” voting machines in Allegheny County, the only county of four in the district that went for Lamb, according to the source, who said there have been many reports of voters who intended to vote for Saccone ending up casting a ballot for Lamb.
Furthermore, Republicans say their attorneys were ejected from polling sites as the absentee ballots were still being counted and that due to confusion caused by the Pennsylvania secretary of state website people were directed to the wrong polling locations.

The Democrats went back to Rahm Emanuel’s recipe for winning back the House in 2006…pick local candidates and have them run 10 miles to the right of Ronald Reagan. Lamb had family ties in the district and ran as a pro-tariff, pro-life, pro-gun patriot. He even ran a campaign ad holding an AR 15. Not many Democrats can get away with that. Of course, when he gets to his office in DC he’ll be greeted by some officials who will remind him he’s a Democrat. Just do what he’s told and the party will back him and he can make some good money. They also have the most potent weapon possible, a media that will cover for him and attack his opponents with no basis.

What may or may not be a surprise is that RINO Paul Ryan’s PAC backed the Democrat in this race:
In the most astonishingly bone-headed move since nominating Mitt Romney for President, the GOP establishment spent major cash to help elect Democrat Conor Lamb in last night’s highly contested PA-18 special election.
Yes, you read that right. Failed Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan and his Congressional Leadership Fund pushed a Democrat to victory over a Republican with direct mail advertising touting support “for our Second Amendment Rights.”

What it comes down to is this may be a harbinger of the midterm disaster awaiting the Republican party. The Democrat party has flipped almost 40 straight seats this year. Maybe special elections don’t draw much interest, or maybe Republican voters are becoming complacent since they hold all three branches. What is clear is that the GOP elite have shown that conservatives mean nothing to them. They sat around for a year, doing nothing to repeal and replace Obamacare. It wasn’t until the last days of the session they hastily got a tax reform done so they had something to show the folks back home. Whether the base comes out or not remains to be seen.
One thing is certain: the left has a singular maniacal obsession…get Trump. Nothing else matters. One gets nightmares thinking of that brain-addled whore Nancy Pelosi once again holding the speaker’s gavel. Maxine Waters, impeachment articles written a month earlier, dancing in the aisle, waving the paper in one hand and her cheap wig in the other, jumping and spinning like she had a rabid squirrel in her girdle. The inmates will have retaken the asylum.
The sad part is I doubt many of the Republicans would care. Leading is much harder than just sitting back, spouting platitudes about what they’d do, only if.
Most of them never liked Trump anyway, so what difference does it make?
We better make damn sure we’re ready; the Democrats sure will be.

A Generational Figure

In retrospect, what Ronald Wilson Reagan managed to accomplish in his time seems all the more amazing. Without a legislative majority and with an adversarial press that still dictated what people saw and heard, he managed to reduce taxes, win the Cold War by forcing Russia to spend itself into oblivion and made Muammar Khadafi piss himself when he dropped a missile down the chimney of his hut after the bombing of Flight 007 over Lockerbie. He managed to go over the head of his opposition to speak directly to people without the aid of social media. His communication skills were the stuff of legends.

When his vice president,George H W Bush was elected,they called it Reagan’s third term. Anybody who expected that was sorely disappointed. The Bushes were centrists, not quite democrats but by no means conservatives. The fatal flaw they both had was assuming democrats were anything but inveterate liars who could slither under the moral bar, no matter how far it was lowered. When he famously said,”read my lips…no new taxes” they took it as a challenge. They offered him a deal….for every dollar you let us raise taxes we’ll (wink wink) lower spending by two dollars. Three dollars. Hell,a MILLION dollars. We don’t cut anything but military spending anyway. It’s in our DNA.
After the media hammered him for reneging on his no tax pledge he was ushered out of office by an unknown grifter from Arkansas and his greedy, power-hungry mate. I would hesitate to call her a wife since there was doubtless little affection in their relationship. He spent his time raping and grinning while she essentially ran the government clandestinely.

The discourse, I believe, coarsened to almost the degree that it is today in 2000 when ,for perhaps the only time in modern history the democrats failed to commit blatant theft of an election. The Florida Supreme Court tried twice to allow them to continue to find mystery ballots from sources unknown until SCOTUS demanded they stop. In yesterday’s Pennsylvania House race,the results were too close to call .The democrat will win. Guaranteed. Aside from 2000 their success in winning close elections is 100%.T hey know how to cheat.

Frankly, I voted for W only because the thought of that fat Tennessee pig as president was unthinkable. Kind of like eating tainted tuna fish…it will make you sick, but won’t kill you. After he took office, the media launched an all-out assault on W, the likes of which I never thought I’d see again. I was so wrong.

In 2008, another unknown burst onto the scene with little known about him except to those of us here in Illinois who knew him only too well. In their fervor to “make history” the media guarded him like a sow grizzly over her cubs. No one will ever convince me there was any reason for his election  except the fact his daddy was African. Like Clinton, he was a hedonist, loving leisure and eschewing work whenever possible. Clinton liked women, Obama liked golf…and probably men. Michelle would have cut Barry’s throat over a woman. For eight agonizingly long years he took time out from golf and their endless vacations only long enough to punish the country that he despised so much that gave him everything.

In full confession, when he declared himself a candidate, I thought Donald Trump was a joke. Surely he couldn’t be serious. His distinct advantage was he had never held office, had made no unholy alliances and didn’t owe anybody anything. Most politicians (especially liberal ones) never held a job in the real world except maybe as lawyers. The other republican candidates suffered from the same unrequited politeness toward democrats who would disembowel them without a second thought.

Trump had no such delusions. He’d dealt with every sort of lying snake through his business dealings. Having created companies and put people to work,rather than take jobs away made him unique.

It turns out there’s not another person in this nation who could have stood up to the democrat party and the relentless Clinton machine. As late as election day, “experts’ pegged his chances of winning at around 5%. Then 63 million of us who were sick of Hillary, sick of the lies and corruption, sick of being told she was unstoppable, sick of open borders and ever higher tax rates to pay for democrat votes showed up at the polls.

Nearly 16 months after the election she has still not come to grips with the reality she’ll never get the brass ring. The hundreds of millions she scooped up from foreign powers as advance payment for favors once she ascended the throne came to naught.

I, for one, get really sick of the non-stop, 24/7 jihad the media is waging against the president. Their hatred of him surpasses what Reagan faced by the intensity of a thousand suns. They never stop. I don’t envision him leaving office before 2024 despite the frantic efforts of those who would destroy him. Whether the democrats are successful in stealing enough seats in November to regain the majority in order to impeach him for no reason remains to be seen.

It took almost 40 years for another generational figure to be sent by God to rescue us from the liberal malaise.My fervent hope is that Almighty God in his mercy will call me home before our nation turns into a totalitarian regime and everything Trump has done will be undone. I just don’t think I could bear to watch it.

Karen Gren Scholer was confirmed to the Northern District of Texas Monday by a vote of 95-0. The Senate also voted 85-11 to confirm Tilman Eugene Self III to the Middle District of Georgia.

San Diego State University offering course called ‘Trump: Impeachment, Removal, or Conviction?’

Texans break early voting record after more Dems get involved

Early voting in Texas’ largest 15 counties has hit an all-time high for a non-presidential election year ahead of congressional primaries in the state on Tuesday.
According to data posted on Saturday by the Texas secretary of state’s office, 885,574 Texans voted in the 11 days of early voting that ended Friday, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
That figure far surpasses the 592,153 Texans who voted early in 2014.
Early voting among Democrats surged this year, the Statesman reported. 465,245 Democrats cast their ballots early, compared to 420,329 Republicans. That represents a significant change from 2014, when only 226,730 Democrats voted early, compared to 65,423 Republicans.

To hear the media leftists tell it, the Russian campaign to buy Facebook ads was a worse attack on the United States than the one which occurred at Pearl Harbor. That’s not just our usual whimsical wordplay – that’s what their talking points are currently saying: a worse attack than Pearl Harbor.

This tells us three things about these (unprintable) morons: they don’t give a damn about history, they’ve never visited the Arizona Memorial (which is good, because it’s hallowed ground), and if they ever do visit the Memorial they’ll have to swim back to shore if they open their stupid yaps in front of actual Americans.

This kind of idiotic hyperbole can be dismissed with a shake of the head by rational adults of a certain age. But for younger viewers who have no actual concept of (or interest in) what Pearl Harbor represents, this kind of false equivalency can actually sway what passes for their minds.

So just how big and powerful was the Russian Facebook ad attack on America? And did those ads change the outcome of the election, as the left would have you believe?

According to an experienced campaign finance expert on Fox’s “Tucker Carlson Show,” the Russians spent $46,000 on Facebook ads. Meanwhile, the combined campaigns of Clinton and Trump (mostly Clinton) spent $81 million on Facebook ads (and that’s not including buys from other political interest groups).

Crunching the actual numbers, this means that of all the campaign ads on Facebook, over 99.9% weren’t originated by Russia. Making it pretty darn unlikely that Russia was able to tip the balance and impact the election – or even be heard over the clamor and clangor of the big money candidates.

Granted, the Russian disinformation campaign was more than a relatively microscopic number of Facebook ads. The Russian effort to disrupt our last presidential election cost them millions of dollars and succeeding only in wasting our time and money on the Mueller investigation, as Democrats tried — and failed — to find grounds for impeaching President Trump.

One thing the Russians did was advertise rallies for and against a particular issue at the same time and place, hoping the proximity of opposing groups would provoke violence.

The plan’s only semi-success was in Houston when two Russian fake groups, “The Heart of Texas” and “United Muslims of America”, had opposing rallies that attracted a total of 60 protesters who did get a tad testy with one another.  One side was even armed … with a bubble-making machine.

Another thing the Russians did was post ads on social media, but they were so bad at it, that only 44% of the total ads they paid for were displayed before the election and about 25% were never seen by anyone at all.

Plus, the ads were so stupid and over-the-top that the only voters who would have liked them were thinking that way anyhow.  E.g., one showed Hillary Clinton as the devil boxing with Jesus Christ, while another showed a buff and muscular Bernie Sanders.

On Sunday’s “Face the Nation,” Hillary Clinton’s former campaign chairman John Podesta was interviewed by CBS host Nancy Cordes.

When Cordes asked him how the Russians knew to focus on Michigan and Wisconsin and Hillary didn’t, Podesta was visibly flustered.

Donald Trump visited Wisconsin several times during the election. Hillary Clinton only went there AFTER the election to peddle her book of excuses ‘What Happened’.

The ever-classy (not) WaPo had this to say about Trump’s visit to Florida: He “followed a tried-and-true playbook for responding to crises, as he has a mass shooting in Las Vegas and a hurricane in Texas: leaning on praise of the responders — casting their response in hyperbolic terms — while making quick and choreographed stops that do not draw protesters or detractors or large crowds.”

The FBI failed to properly investigate the Florida shooter after numerous warnings. Maybe they were too busy trying to impeach Trump to do their jobs.

This is the fourth mass shooting where the FBI had files on the murderers beforehand. The others were Army Maj. Nidal Hassan who committed the 2009 Fort Hood shootings, the Tsarnaev brothers who committed the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, and Omar Mateen who committed the2016 Pulse nightclub shootings.

The Daily Time Waster

It has snowed every day since Sunday. It’s supposed to stop some time today and start again Thursday night and be non-stop until sometime Saturday. We’ve only gotten about 7″ so far, but may be looking at more than a foot before it’s done. I made a living driving a truck along rural roads for decades, but now that I’m retired I get somewhat stressed out by adverse weather conditions.

Just a bunch of unrelated stuff which may or may not interest you.

Mississippi House Approves Earliest Abortion Ban at 15 Weeks

On Friday, lawmakers in the state House passed HB 1510, by a vote of 79-31, with some Democrats joining in with Republicans to approve it.

According to the Associated Press, Rep. Becky Currie, the bill’s sponsor, said about the 15-week cut-off for abortion, “At that time, it’s time to decide whether you’re going to carry this child or not.”

House Judiciary B Committee Chairman Andy Gipson (R) said the bill is just as much about protecting women as babies.

“Women deserve real health care, not some fake health care that involves the destruction of human life and a woman’s health,” he said.

FBI Lovers’ Latest Text Messages
Obama ‘wants to know everything’ … when he’s not supposed to be asking about the Clinton email case and when he said he hadn’t been involved in it in any way.

Newly revealed text messages between FBI paramours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page include an exchange about preparing talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to give to President Obama, who wanted “to know everything we’re doing.”

In texts previously revealed, Strzok and Page have shown their disdain for Republicans in general, as well as Trump, calling him a “f—ing idiot,” among other insults.

Among the newly disclosed texts, Strzok also calls Virginians who voted against then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s wife for a state Senate seat “ignorant hillbillys.”

Blumenthal has that kind of mind, and sure enough we read of him again. This time, there’s a new memo, created by Senate Republicans Chuck Grassley and Lindsey Graham about the creation of the Steele dossier, and apparently one of the contributors was Sid Blumenthal.

Blumenthal, you recall, was an assistant senior advisor to President Clinton from 1997 to 2001, the prime Clinton scandal years, following a career as a writer for the New Yorker.

He was a prime witness in the grand jury testimonies over the Monica Lewinsky scandal and famous for leaking creepy stories about the Ken Starr special prosecutor investigation to the press, and came to be known as a man who would do anything for the Clintons.

He got a reputation so slimey that even Rahm Emmanuel, who became President Obama’s chief of staff, wouldn’t allow him near the Obama White House.

Hakeem Jeffries to Trump: ‘How dare you lecture us about treason’

Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries slammed President Trump for suggesting it was treasonous for Democrats not to applaud during his State of the Union and questioned whether the president and his officials have themselves engaged in treasonous acts.

Taking back the House will be harder than Democrats think

They are on track to have a record number of candidates running, led by a surge of women and veterans. According to the latest compilation by the Campaign Finance Institute, nearly 60 percent of Republican-held districts have a Democratic challenger who has raised at least $50,000; two years ago, fewer than 20 percent had reached that threshold by this point in the cycle.

All of that is a good thing for any party. Except when it leads to large, messy primaries.
In suburban Virginia, for instance, Democrats worked hard to recruit state Sen. Jennifer T. Wexton (Loudoun), a former prosecutor with deep roots in the district, to take on Rep. Barbara Comstock, one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country.
