The media are playing “divide and conquer” games against Republicans now, a strategy that worked in 2008 by leaving us with John McCain as the only candidate.  This time they are swinging between viciously attacking Sarah Palin and her family, and hyping real or imaginary divisions between Republicans — never among the Democrats, who present the image of a united front with Stalinesque unity.  But you can bet there’s a lot of vicious in-fighting among Obama, the Clintons, and all the rest, because Obama may be destroying the Democratic Party as we know it.

This article is interesting and got me tinkering with some numbers.

I get the same thing from both of these piles of data that I got from my previous analyses of abortion opinion polls and the behaviors of Obama’s key demos (blacks, women, youth). The best candidate we have to BEAT Obama is Sarah Palin. She’s Ronnie in a skirt.

I’d love to see her nominated by the GOP with Herman Cain as her VP.

A witty, powerhouse of a Pro-Life, Strong Military, I LOVE AMERICA!  “First Woman President” running with a Conservative Black who made a huge success of a failing business (Godfather’s Pizza) through SKILL, not affirmative action.

Wow.

Never mind the hunk-alicious Todd as First First Dude drawing the “sweaty females (and gay guys) who vote for hot guys” vote and the “manly men with guns who vote for rough, tough guys with guns” vote.

Or the too cute for words Trig who would bring in the disabled vote.

Or Bristol who would bring in the single mothers’ vote.

Plus the Tea Party which, Leftist Media aside, is a powerhouse force in American politics!

What we absotively must NOT do is nominate another moderate white dude … especially whichever one the media tells us is “the one to beat Obama.” Because duh … they gave us the nice guy moderate McCain who only did as well as he did because he brought Sarah Palin on board.

Oh and one more thing. Don’t forget that of all the potentials out there … Palin is the only one who has been vetted top to bottom and front to back. There are NO OCTOBER SURPRISES the Left can pull on her.

Obama, however … snerk. There’s a ton of dirt waiting to be unloaded on HIS sorry head.

I didn’t think I’d get a chance to use this graphic again. IMHO, it’s one of my best photoshops ever, but so far into BHO’s reign, I figured it was out of date … until I heard a DNC campaign weenie saying that blaming Bush for the economy is going to be a major DNC strategy for 2012.

(I forget who it was. I think Pete posted the link to a news interview video where a female Dem said “Bush Bush Evil Bush” and a male GOP said “How dumb is THAT.” More or less.)

Anyhow, I was a tad shocked. What kind of idiot moron can honestly blame Bush for 9/11 AND the current economy?

It’s got me curious  how many people are buying the DNC meme … the economy is ALL Bush’s fault? If anyone sees a poll along those lines, please share.

I had a really bad day yesterday, so had to go prone for the duration of whatever it was. It worked out well for our visitors. It’s hotter than hockey pucks here, even inside my climate-controlled, allergy-oasis house.  The a/c is NOT enough for really high temps … especially not for my pregnant daughter and our teething little one.

Poor Buzz! He had a major melt down yesterday and since I was feeling too rotten to be good company anyway, they went with Nonno to the  air conditioned, loads of fun Science Center while I vegged on the couch with Netflix and ice packs.

I am going to keep working on the unemployment data Red Pill linked. I’d really like to get a look at data that goes back to Carter and Reagan, particularly if I can find something to show the speed of economic recovery with conservative principles vs. what’s going on now to counter this idiotic “It’s Bush’s fault” baloney.

Court jesters and village idiots

There used to be an institution called court jester or king’s fool. This person was generally some kind of entertainer, juggler, tumbler and master of the one-line zinger. He acted as the court’s conscience, poking fun at bad decisions and personal shortcoming in people who were so powerful, no one else dared criticize.

There is another old tradition, the village idiot. This person was cared for by general village charity and served an important function in being less capable and competent than everyone else. He made people feel good about themselves even when they didn’t amount to much otherwise.

Since Democrats seem to spend most of their time criticizing their betters and making themselves ridiculous with their scandals and faux pas, I recommend we designate them to fill these important societal functions in our government. But let’s get the balance right. Lots of competent and capable people plus one or two fools and idiots per department. Okay?
