Why doesn’t Hillary’s ‘dossier’ trick count as treason?

Just last summer, when it was reported that Donald Trump Jr. had met with a Kremlin-linked Russian lawyer who claimed to be in possession of damaging information about Clinton, there was widespread condemnation and shouts of treason. But Trump Jr. did not seek out, hire anyone, pay for, or accept the information.

The Clinton campaign did all of that, then leaked the fake dossier to their friends in the pro-Clinton, anti-Trump media, which ignored the tainted source and reported on it gleefully. Then the Obama administration used it to justify a FISA warrant to tap a Trump adviser.

Democrat critics of Donald Trump LOVED Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.  They were sure it would prove Russia colluded with the Republicans to wreck Hillary’s bid for the White House.  They sniggered about how many more days Donald Trump would last before he was impeached.

Facebook Updates Privacy Policy to Simply Read ‘LOL’

MENLO PARK, CA—Facebook has once again updated its privacy policy for its users, replacing the long and complex text spelling out all the ways the company can use your personal data with the term “LOL,” the tech behemoth confirmed Monday.

“We wanted to be more forthright with our users,” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told reporters. “We could give you this boring tome of legalese, or we could simply put it in terms everyone can understand. The popular internet abbreviation for ‘laughing out loud’ is an accurate, concise summary of how we feel about your private data.”

“It’s short, sweet, and to the point,” he added.

Users joining the site for the first time are asked to read the three-letter privacy policy in its entirety before clicking “accept” to acknowledge that the social networking company just laughs its collective keister off at the notion of any Facebook user having any kind of privacy whatsoever.

In a bid for transparency, the social network further updated its policy page on shutting down pages and profiles Facebook officials deem offensive or intolerant to simply display a picture of Big Brother from George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984, sources confirmed at publishing time.

Stop Grandstanding About Niger

At The Daily Signal, former Green Beret and Heritage Foundation Fellow Steven Bucci urges politicians and the media to stop unnecessarily politicizing the work that American special forces were conducting in Niger, writing that “grandstanding senators and talking heads don’t help make America safe, but missions just like the one in Niger do.”

EXCERPT: The loss of four special operations soldiers in Niger is a tragedy. We grieve as a nation, rightly, whenever we lose any of the brave young men and women who serve in uniform.

Leftists are just SURE that Trump’s tax cuts are all about lining the pockets of his corporate cronies. What they don’t want to admit is that under President Obama, real corporate profits rose 11 percent a year but “the pass-through to workers” was only 0.3 percent.

Nancy Pelosi called Trump’s plan to eliminate the SALT deduction “an insidious effort to raise taxes on middle class families … across America.” Investors Business Daily explains that “the benefits of the SALT deduction go almost entirely to upper-income families.”

The chairman of the president’s Council of Economic Advisers, Kevin Hassett, says cutting the corporate tax will deliver growth and higher wages. Unsurprisingly, this ignited the Left. George Will explains why he’s probably right.

Wall Street Journal Editorial: “What do left-of-center economists have against a tax cut that would raise wages for American workers? They’re always telling us that America needs a raise, and that labor isn’t capturing enough of corporate profits, yet along come Republicans promising to raise wages by encouraging more investment in the U.S., and they react with shock and smears.”

Elias’ denial appears to have been intentionally misleading in light of new reporting from The Washington Post that Elias hired opposition research firm Fusion GPS on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Elias reportedly hired Fusion to dig up dirt on Trump as part of a project that became the Trump dossier.

The explosive report in the Washington Post goes a long way to explaining how the dossier was so widely spread among political reporters during the election. The Clinton camp must have passed it out like Halloween candy to its media handmaidens.

How to raise kids who are smart about money. When my girls were young, I asked a female banker with grown kids for advice about teaching my kids about money. She told me she had never done anything, just expected them to learn it by osmosis or something. I wonder if she felt the same way about learning to read and do math. Sheesh.
