It makes sense to be proud of something you’ve worked hard to accomplish. Being proud of something you just are is silly.
I’m proud of my college degree, but I merely enjoy having naturally curly hair and green eyes. As for my pasty white skin that burns painfully with little provocation … I’d just as soon have some natural melanin!

Mothers Day…traditionally the single busiest day in the restaurant business. The special day everyone honors the woman who gave them life. Unless you’re a classless slug you treat her special every day. She’s the one who nursed you when you came into this world. The breastfeeding should really stop before you’re 12. She cleans your bottom and dries your tears when you hurt. She leaves the spanking to dad when she wants you to really hurt. My kids used to steal money off my dresser and dig between the couch cushions for change and put their ill-gotten booty in a jar. On Mother’s Day they’d bring the jar to me and want folding money so they could buy mama a present…with my cash. Father’s Day? Meh…who cares. All he did was sacrifice his health to provide for you. At least, back when there WERE fathers and not (oh, this phrase is so obscene I don’t ever use it) baby daddy. That’s when two sets of hormones meet in a bar, two hours later they’re having sex. The guy puts a notch in his bedpost and moves on to his next conquest. The woman has the baby and gets welfare because the sperm donor is long gone. She didn’t even catch his name or the other men she bore kids by.

Woman Allegedly Tried To Run GOP Congressman Off The Road Over His Vote To Repeal Obamacare
A woman in Tennessee was accused of chasing a GOP congressman in her car and then screaming at him after she allegedly became upset over his vote to repeal and replace Obamacare, police told BuzzFeed News on Friday.
Wendi L. Wright, 35, was arrested and charged with felony reckless endangerment for the incident that occurred in Weakley County on Monday.
Wright allegedly followed a car occupied by Tennessee Rep. David Kustoff and two others on a highway and placed them “in fear of being forced off” the road, according to the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department.

Liberal Student Freaks Out – Screams for Over 2 Minutes Straight After Seeing Trump Sign on Campus
According to a video of the incident obtained by Campus Reform, an unknown student reacted to a street preacher’s pro-Trump sign by spiraling into a two-minute fit, at some points even splattering paint on the ground in an apparent attempt at artistic protest.
At certain points throughout the video, passers-by stop to ask the woman if she’s alright, to which she seems to indicate that she’s screaming as a form of protest.

Michelle Obama criticized the Trump administration’s decision to relinquish federal control over school lunches saying, “Think about why someone is OK with your kids eating crap.”
According to the Progressive Left, local control of anything means disaster.
I once got an infuriating, tax-payer-funded mailing from my then-Democrat congressman about federal control over school lunches. Essentially, it said that he and he alone stood between my children and malnutrition.
Usually, I ignored his garbage, but that one just set me off, so I wrote to him and said, in no uncertain terms, that I WAS THE ONE WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT MY KIDS ATE. Sheesh.
Anyway, Michelle is the last one who should be sneering about our kids eating crap. Her lunch program massively failed because the kids wouldn’t eat it.

Yesterday, President Trump signed an Executive Order to establish the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity. The Commission will study the registration and voting processes used in Federal elections. It will be solely advisory and will submit a report to the President. Vice President Pence will chair the Commission.
President Trump also signed an Executive Order to strengthen the cybersecurity of Federal networks and critical infrastructure. This action maintains that it is the policy of the United States to manage cybersecurity risk as an executive branch enterprise.
Governor Bill Haslam has signed a bill to ban late-term abortions in Tennessee. It will prohibit abortions after 24 weeks, and require abortion clinics to assess whether an unborn child is viable starting at 20 weeks. If the unborn baby is determined to be viable at that point, that abortion also would be illegal. Doctors could face felony charges for violating the law.

A new NYPD directive forbids cops from entering a residence in response to a noise complaint — unless they’re given permission.
The bizarre constraint is the result of costly, successful lawsuits against the city by homeowners who complained that cops barged onto their properties without a warrant, multiple sources told The Post.
“Parties will go into early morning, which will involve more drinking and neighbors getting into fights, resulting in more shootings,” noted another law enforcement source.

Former Florida Representative and Democrat Corrine Brown has been tried on 24 federal fraud counts related to her fake education charity that she used primarily as a personal slush fund. Of the $833,000 raised for charity, only $1,200 actually went to fund scholarships for poor and minority students.
Yesterday, Brown was convicted on 18 of the 24 charges including conspiring to commit mail and wire fraud, aiding and abetting mail fraud, aiding and abetting wire fraud, engaging in a scheme to hide facts, endeavoring to obstruct and impede IRS laws, and filing multiple false income tax returns.
Brown insisted she just made some mistakes and that spending $830,000 on lavish parties and other extravagances was an accident.
