Bits & Bytes

DESPERATION: Dem flunky Elias let the cat out of the bag when he tweeted the real motivation behind the outrageous raid on Trump’s residence. The FBI removed 15 boxes of material from Mar-a-Lago; clearly, they’re looking for anything they can find (or plant?) that would allow them to prosecute Trump under the statute and make it impossible for him to run for president in 2024.

Nick Arama points out the irony, which I’m sure none of us missed, which is that Shrillary created a whole private server with government documents on it and then deleted huge sections of it that we know included classified and secret information pertaining to her duties as SecState. The FBI decided they wouldn’t prosecute, because golly gee, she had merely been “extremely careless.

Hopefully, this grotesque action will backfire on the desperate Dems. Not only are Trump supporters outraged, but so are a bunch of high level Trump haters.

DOJ must immediately explain the reason for its raid & it must be more than a search for inconsequential archives or it will be viewed as a political tactic and undermine any future credible investigation & legitimacy of January 6 investigations.” – Andrew Cuomo

I’m no Trump fan. I want him as far away from the White House as possible. But a fundamental part of his appeal has been that it’s him against a corrupt government establishment. This raid strengthens that case for millions of Americans who will see this as unjust persecution.” – Andrew Yang

END TIMES PROPHECY: [8:49] – Luz de Maria reports that, on July 30, Jesus told her (in part), “I call you to conversion! This is the time of the Signs preceding the Warning and yet My People continue not to examine themselves. Pray, My People. Pray. My justice is coming. The city of lights will be extinguished, its din silenced, and My Children will cry out. Argentina will suffer. Nature will act with greater force. May My Love be a sign of My Presence within you.”

FAUXTUS: Remember when Democrats said Trump should be impeached because he walked down a slippery ramp slowly? Yeah. Where are they now? It took less than 5 seconds for FAUXTUS to forget that he had already shaken hands with Chuckie Schmucker. CLICK https://twitter.com/SteveGuest/status/1557011318175047680 [:10].

FBI: “Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those countries, corrupt at a level not seen before.” – Donald Trump [:50] – The FBI actually raided the private residence of a former president. CLICK https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3108854442709203 [6:36] for a Newsmax report about the raid.

INFLATION REDUCTION ACT OF 2022: Let’s be really clear here. This atrocity has nothing to do with reducing inflation; it’s only going to make it worse. What it really is is Build Back Better 2. It authorizes massive spending on energy, climate change, health care subsidies, and tax “reform” (read: huge increases).

NANCY JUNIOR: [7:08] – What does he do on these trips? And why is he not listed on the itineraries?

REINHART: The work history of the guy who signed the FBI’s warrant to raid the private residence of a former POTUS makes it clear that he has zero moral compass. At one time, he was a U.S. Attorney in the office handling prosecutions of Jeffrey Epstein et al.; one day, he abruptly quit this job and, the very next day, went to work for Jeffrey Epstein!

Also, he’s not a district judge, but a magistrate judge, a distinction that matters. Federal district judges, who are nominated by a POTUS and confirmed by the U.S. Senate, hire magistrate judges to do their scut work. E.g., they oversee first appearances of criminal defendants, set bail, and sign warrants.

Why did a low-level, unconfirmed, unappointed magistrate judge sign off on the most consequential FBI warrant in decades? If any warrant application demanded the eyes of a real judge, it would be one targeting the former President of the United States. Yet, this judge was happy to give the FBI what they wanted while the FBI was happy to accept.” – Bonchie, Red State

S&G: A high-level U.S. Postal Service official appointed under President Joe Biden was caught during a child sex sting, admitting “I’m a pedophile” on camera. The man is the Chief Data Officer for the U.S. Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC), the division responsible for mail-in ballots at election time.

Mary, the Sister of Lazarus

There are two stories in the New Testament about a woman who anoints Jesus with oil. In the first anointing, Jesus is at table in the house of a Pharisee when “a sinful woman in the city” bathes his feet with her tears, wipes them with her hair, and anoints them with oil from an alabaster jar (Luke 7:36-50).

The second anointing, which occurred at a dinner in Bethany at the beginning of Passion Week, is recounted in Matthew 26:6-13, Mark 14:3-9, and John 12:1-8. Neither Matthew nor Mark identify the woman, who broke an alabaster jar and poured the genuine spikenard within on to Jesus’ head. Spikenard is an expensive essential oil that was used for perfumes, for medicinal ointments, and in religious ceremonies.

John 12:1-8 identifies the woman in the second anointing as Mary, the sister of Lazarus, and in a clear reference to the first anointing, says that she anointed Jesus’ feet and dried them with her hair. In fact, prior to this event, John 11:2 says, “Mary was the one who had anointed the Lord with perfumed oil and dried his feet with her hair; it was her brother Lazarus who was ill.” My Bible actually has a very stupid footnote saying that John 11:2 refers to the second anointing … which hasn’t happened yet in the story. It makes no grammatical or narrative sense to ascribe John 11:2 to the second anointing. So what was going on?

I believe the sinful woman in the first anointing was Mary, the sister of Lazarus. Some say she was a prostitute, but the text doesn’t say that. She is also often identified as Mary Magdalene, but that doesn’t work either. Directly after the anointing scene, Mary Magdalene is named and described as a woman “from whom seven demons had gone out.” If she had also been the woman at the anointing, there was no reason not to name her.

So why were the Synoptic writers so cagey about identifying her? I’m guessing that Mary was young and very pretty, that she maybe fell in love with and/or was seduced by someone who wouldn’t marry her (e.g., a Roman soldier), and had moved in with him. IOW, she had not only thrown away the most valuable commodities a Jewish woman had – i.e., her virginity and her reputation – but also had brought shame on her whole family, possibly tainting her siblings’ ability to find spouses. When the Synoptics were written, she was a very prominent member of the Christian community. Everybody knew about Lazarus who had been raised from the dead! So I’m thinking that Matthew, Mark, and Luke decided that, since Mary had repented and amended her life, there was no reason to identify her as the sinful woman.

This begs the question of why John did identify her very clearly as the woman in both anointing stories. Well, John wrote later, years after the Synoptics had been circulated widely. I’d guess that the Christians were gossiping about who the sinful woman might have been and John thought it was important to stop them pointing fingers at various members of the community. Also, maybe Mary had passed on or had told him she didn’t care who knew what.

Having repented, very publicly with the first anointing, Mary would have had little choice but to return to her family. In fact, they may only have accepted her back because Jesus wanted it. As I imagined how they would have felt about welcoming home their black sheep of a little sister, it shed a lot of light on the famous Martha and Mary story told in Luke 10:38-42. Jesus and His numerous disciples appear to have dropped in on Lazarus, no doubt creating a hectic “what am I going to feed them?!” problem for Martha, the female head of house. It’s not like she had a microwave or carry out joint around the corner!

But rather than helping, Mary sits at Jesus’ feet. Martha is clearly annoyed and says to Jesus, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me.” But Jesus doesn’t do that. Instead, he rebukes Martha, who has been doing all the work! I’m far from the only person to be bothered by this.

But let’s imagine for a moment what Mary’s life would have been like after she was forced to crawl home in disgrace and live under the thumb of her bitter and resentful big sister. To me, Mary’s choice to sit at Jesus’ feet was not about shirking her duties, but about a very lonely young woman who badly needed some love. And I think that when Jesus chastised Martha, He was not talking about the meal, but about her angry and unforgiving attitude toward her sister.

I also have a theory about why Mary actually broke the alabaster jar and used up all of the spikenard at the second anointing. A pricey jar of perfume is the kind of gift a well-to-do lover would give to a mistress he had no intention of marrying. Maybe he was a handsome Roman officer who either had a wife back home already or whose family had someone of good lineage picked out for when he got done with his military service. There was no way he would ever take a Jewess home to Mater, nor would he care what kind of life he condemned a discarded woman to after he dumped her.

If my scenario is correct, she gave up everything for what she no doubt thought was True Love. During the first anointing, when she poured out some of the perfume her lover gave her on to Jesus’ feet, she demonstrated she was ready to live a righteous life again. But I’m thinking she kept the jar, which she had not emptied, because she still had warm, romantic memories of her lover. In time, she realized she had to fully repent of every aspect of her sin and demonstrated she had done so by breaking and totally emptying the jar.

CIVIL RIGHTS: In yet another sign (as if we needed one) of the demonization of Caucasians, a long-time college football coach has been forced out of his dream job for reading the N-word aloud off a Black player’s iPad. Note that Blacks throw this word around with impunity and it was on his iPad, which he was messing with when he was supposed to be paying attention. The coach got annoyed and, as a punishment, read the screen aloud. He says he’s super duper sorry and that he didn’t even realize what he was saying; he just read what was there. Tough noogies, white boy. You been canceled.

DESTROYING AMERICA: They’re almost done.

GOOD SON: Cancer treatments destroyed this lady’s ability to ever regrow her hair. So her son grew his out and had a wig made for her.

LATIN MASS: I’ve gotten interested in the Latin Mass, but the side-by-side translations bewilder me. I decided to just dip my toe in the water and do my own. There are loads of translation sites online! The Glory Be is similar, but I love the “and evermore and into ages and ages” part.

NEW YORK: My stupid state bail “reform” that eliminated bail for most misdemeanors and nonviolent felonies, meaning that most criminals arrested for these crimes are freed without restrictions, usually within a few hours of their arrest. What a SHOCK (not) that just 10 NYC criminals have racked up 485 arrests. And, surprise surprise, one of those guys has racked up nearly 100 arrests in Manhattan, where the Soros-funded DA is soft on crime.

UK: [14:44] – Aussie Sky News reports the good news that a UK police force has announced it is scrapping its so-called hate crime awareness courses.

VAXXX: A recent Zogby survey of 1,038 American adults found that 15% of those who accepted the ‘rona jabs have since been diagnosed with a new medical condition. The most common ones were blood clots (21%), heart attack (19%), liver damage (18%), leg and lung clots (17%), and stroke (15%).

GRAMMY NOTES: Mama reports that Bootz asked her if she remembered the movie “with the old guy with glasses and has white hair on the sides? And the guy who’s says ‘40 S’ and everyone else tells him to sit down?” It took her a while, but she finally got enough detail from him to figure it out. She told him the guy was saying, “Vote Yes!” and Bootz agreed that made more sense. LOL

AMAZON: The mega-corporation just bought iRobot for $1.7 billion. This means, if you have a Roomba, Amazon will have access to detailed information about the inside of your home. Not that this makes a huge difference, since the newer models store all your information in the cloud where it can be hacked by enterprising thieves and whatnot.

My Automated Palace recommends, “Before bringing a Roomba or other robot vacuum into your home, consider weighing the risks of a potential breach to your privacy.” And this applies to other so-called “smart” devices. If you own a Smart Roomba, a laptop with a built-in webcam*, an Alexa (or similar), a Smart TV, or a phone with apps containing Automated Content Technology Recognition (ACR), please read the article at the second link below.

*I have a desktop computer; my camera/microphone are on a plug-in device that I only plug in for video sessions. I also clean my computer’s cache frequently, particularly if I’ve been shopping or visited my on-line bank account.

CONSPICUOUS CONSUMPTION: Kudos to Balenciaga for figuring out yet another way to fleece the stupid. Some rich people are oh-so-happy to spend absurd amounts for crap provided it has a designer label that proclaims to the world, “Look at me! I can afford to spend absurd amounts for crap like this!

As with pricey designer clothing that goes out of style in 3 months, “conspicuous” is really all this consumption is about. Balenciaga’s creative director is snickering into her champagne. “I couldn’t miss an opportunity to make the most expensive trash bag in the world, because who doesn’t love a fashion scandal?” Or making an insane profit off of people with way more money than sense? I mean, besides being ugly, it’s a terrible design for a tote!

INFLATION: It’s only going to get worse. The a-holes in D.C. have passed a major climate, tax, and health care package that will majorly increase taxes and everything else. Fortunately for the Elitists, they have lots of loopholes built in to keep the 87,000 new IRS agents that will be hired so from coming after them.

FAUXTUS claimed the new law will save folks Big Bucks on their energy bills. Yeah. Uh huh. He also once said he’d NEVER raise taxes on anyone making less than $400K/year. (Dems voted AGAINST an amendment to the bill that would have limited tax increases on those making $400K/year.)

I like their summary: We don’t care if you get rich, just don’t act like a jerk when you do. – The back story is that, on May 28, Paulie P. (82) was on his way home from a dinner party when he smashed his 2021 Porsche into another driver’s 2014 Jeep. Both vehicles were reportedly totaled and the other driver sustained some kind of injury.

The complaint notes that Pelosi failed a field sobriety test and that his “eyes were red/watery, he was unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred, and he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath.” Then, for some inexplicable reason (“my name is Pelosi?”), police waited two hours before doing a blood alcohol test! It still popped .08%. God alone knows what it was when he was behind the wheel or what else he had imbibed, because it wasn’t just a little wine.

GRIFTER: Remember Shaun King? If you don’t, Wikipedia has a long article about his lifetime of lies and fraud. A while back, he started Grassroots Law PAC to raise money for political candidates who are soft on crime. The group’s FEC report is linked below.

One of the group’s biggest disbursements – $40,650.00 – went to Portrero Performance Dogs for “NON CONTRIBUTION ACCOUNT – CONTRACTOR DEPOSIT.” In short, Shaun used money donated to his PAC to buy himself an insanely expensive show dog … for a family pet! The dog has since been returned to the breeder, allegedly because “he’s got a little too much energy to be a family dog so he came back.”

The PAC’s disbursements make for an interesting read. A whopping $200K went to Real Justice PAC, which supports the campaigns of extreme Leftist prosecutors like Marilyn Mosby; you know, the kind of people George Soros lurves. There were some disbursements to various other pols, but most of the transactions are listed as being for accounting, website, and legal services, for credit card processing fees, and for “software.” How much software does anyone need? Especially since a whole lot of those “software” disbursements went to Grassroots Law, another of Shaun’s scams, I mean social justice efforts, one that is also aimed at helping Progs get elected.

On Sunday, July 31st, Hartsock rang a doorbell and asked the resident if she could count on the woman’s support. The woman said, “No, I’m sorry I don’t think you want to talk to us.” The girl thanked her and turned to leave when the resident’s adult daughter jumped off the couch, cussing and yelling at her mom for being polite to the girl. Then, she launched herself at the teen, shoving her in the chest, punching her in the head, and screaming curses and phrases like, “I hope you get raped” and “I hope you get run over by a car.

In the video, you can see her rage-stomping back to her mother’s house and flipping her mother for telling her to stop the violence! I’m tempted to say she’s just a mean, dumb bitch, but my better guess is that she’s a woman who has had one or more abortions and is carrying a soul-killing load of guilt. We should pray for her.

COVID-19 Update

[12:58] – Dr. John Campbell goes over the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut report on suspected adverse events following doses of the ‘rona jabs from Dec 27, 2020 (start of the vaccination campaign in Germany) through March 31, 2022. The link to English version of the report is below.

Adverse events were defined as “noxious and unintended reactions to the medicinal product.” Overall rate: 1.7 per 1,000 doses (0.17%). Serious rate = 1 per 5,000 doses (0.02%).

Multiple German commenters on the video say the rates are much lower than real life.

Hardly anyone can get a Doc to file a side effect of any kind in Germany.”

The authorities in Germany were very much not interested in the side effects of the vaccines. People with strange symptoms after the vaccination were often not taken seriously, neither from the Doctors nor the authorities. … In addition to that, most Doctors had not the time to file a report and they also did not get paid for that (or not enough).”

I am from Germany and I remember that a recent study of a health insurance company BKK collected their own data and … recently published … adverse effects [rate was] at 2.3%.”

I live in Germany and it is my experience that doctors were only interested in severe reactions to vaccines. I know of many people who complained to their doctor about a reaction and were met with disinterest. The attitude was that we should consider ourselves lucky that the reaction wasn’t severe.”

i am from Germany. The datas are not right, there is a massive underreporting more than 10 % to X %. I work at a Health Assurance and our datas from ICD-Nr. are a lot higher.”

I also live in Germany and know through my work at least 15 people with more or less severe adverse events and dozens of stories and only one case was recognized or even reported.”

I live in Germany … the data is missing a high number of cases … since the submission process is cumbersone (takes > 30 min) and there is no financial reward. … On the other hand when Health insurance companies e.g. BBK Provita have checked for the diagnose of “reaction to Covid vaccination” there is roughyl a 5% rate of these after a shot.”

doctors in germany were even taken to court for saying that their patients had such a thing as an adverse event or that the vax might cause harm.”

I was curious what kind of adverse event numbers are associated with common, well-tested vaccines (that are actually vaccines). My kids were born with allergies, so their doctor and I were very cautious about which vaccines they got. One that he said they absolutely should get was the MMR, because the diseases are devastating and viral, while the vaccine had been on the market for many years and was relatively speaking a much safer choice.

So I looked up the MMR at the CDC. The summary of the risks includes:

  • 1 in 10,000 children have a febrile seizure in the week to 10 days following the shot.
  • 1 in 40,000 children will have Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), which can also happen with the measles. It is usually not life threatening.
  • 1 in 4 (usually females) who get the shot for the first time after puberty experience mild joint pain or stiffness for a couple of days.

Compare these numbers with the 1 per 5,000 doses serious adverse events garnered by the vastly under-reported German report.

ARGUING WITH FOOLS: Donkey told Elephant that grass is blue. Elephant said it is green. After the discussion became heated, they submitted it to the King of the Jungle for arbitration.

When Donkey asked Lion to punish Elephant for constantly contradicting and annoying him about this issue, Lion declared Elephant must be silent for three days.

After Donkey ran off to tell everyone how he had won, Elephant asked, “Your Majesty, why have you punished me? We both know that grass is green.

Lion replied, “Your punishment is not about the color of grass. It is to teach you not to waste your time or mine arguing with asses.

END TIMES PROPHECY: [4:21] – In the video, Daniel O’Connor urges us to be prepared for The Warning so we can be useful to the Lord during that small window of time He is going to provide during which we can evangelize without Satan’s interference. The other day, when I was saying my daily rosary, I had an image appear in my mind of a little table at the end of my driveway, with a basket of rosaries and “how to pray the rosary” pamphlets on it. I did some shopping and found inexpensive bundles of 100 each rosaries and pamphlets. We have fewer than 50 houses in our little development, so The Mascots are going to put a rosary and a pamphlet each into a zippy bag, send 50 to me, and keep 50 for their neighborhood. If I’m right about The Warning and the subsequent period of peace fulfilling the Jewish holy days of repentance*, then we only have a few more weeks left.

[7:44] – On August 1, Archbishop Viganò said that the pope’s participation in the pagan smudging ceremony was an “act of submission to the New World Order.” Then he asked why Francis is apologizing for sins the RCC never committed?

He says the Oblates of Mary Immaculate “were the only defenders of the traditional language and way of life of the Indians of Canada, unlike the government and the Anglican Church, which insisted on an integration that uprooted the indigenous people from their origins.”

He also reiterates that the so-called genocide of indigenous peoples at Catholic schools was an “absolutely false media campaign that was supported by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, a pupil of Klaus Schwab and a notorious proponent of globalism and the Davos Agenda. …

Both have been sponsored in their careers by the anti-Christian globalist elite. Both have been placed at the head of an institution with the task of demolishing it and dispersing its members. Both are betrayers of their role, of justice, and of truth. …

Let us invoke the intercession of the Martyrs of Canada, who have been outraged by the accuser who is seated on the Throne of Peter, so that they may obtain from the Throne of God the liberation of the Church from the present scourge.

Come soon, Lord Jesus!

As a result of Pope Francis’ latest assault on conservative Catholics, the Bishop of the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, has ordered 13 parishes to stop offering the Latin Mass. He is allowing eight to continue celebrating the rite, but bans them from publishing the schedules in their bulletins, parish websites or social-media channels!

And five of these eight may not celebrate the Latin Mass inside their churches! I’m thinking this means they cannot celebrate Mass where the Holy Eucharist is reserved within the Tabernacle. Some churches have the Tabernacle behind the altar while others have a Tabernacle Chapel off to the side somewhere.

I’m not very familiar with the Latin Mass, but I’ve been watching videos and noticed how often the Tabernacle is reverenced with genuflecting and incense. It really feels like a huge slap in the face for the PTBs to force the faithful to celebrate it where there is no Tabernacle.

I’m also completely gobsmacked by what is going on at the “Faith Community of St. Sabina” (not Roman Catholic Church) in Chicago. This is apparently a typical Sunday Mass in this largely Black parish. The length doesn’t bother me; the Latin Mass above is a similar length. And I get that this is pretty typical of Black worship services … very long and emotional, with lots of music, dancing, and really loud preaching.

It’s totally not my cup of tea, but they do actually get around to doing the Consecration and distributing Eucharist with very reverent music, so that’s good. However, this parish appears to have just two weekend Masses. They’re very busy with social action stuff, but prayer is practically nonexistent. There are no daily Masses, no scheduled Confessions, no Adoration, no Rosaries … in fact, nothing of a sacred or spiritual nature. The word “Catholic” doesn’t even appear anywhere in the Sunday bulletin! And THIS is the cover:

Compare that with these excerpts from my parish’s website:

So, riddle me this, Pope Francis and your good buddy, Bishop Cupich of Chicago … how come St. Sabina’s is allowed to operate the way it does, while the priests and faithful who love the Latin Mass are being treated like lepers?
