I’m almost afraid every time I boot up that I’m going to read where Afghanistan has invaded the US and Obama has unilaterally surrendered. There’s so much stuff bubbling to the surface it’s a challenge to try to get to a portion of it.

As CtH posted yesterday,Bergdahl’s hometown of Hailey,Idaho has cancelled plans for a big Welcome Home celebration.
One reason is a row that erupted in Hailey between Mayor Fritz Haemmerle and US Army Platoon Commander Jonathan Kennedy, who lives in Hailey. Commander Kennedy called the celebration for a deserter a “monstrous profanity.”
Carole King was scheduled to entertain the folks. Pity.
The mayor must have realized that this small town would have been overrun with huge news trucks,snotty reporters and protesters and anti-protesters.
For those not familiar,Hailey is in the posh ski resort area of Sun Valley,Idaho. It is the only county in the state that voted for Obama in both 2008 and 2012.
I have a theory that Hailey was founded in the late ’60s when a couple vanloads of maggot-infested dope-smoking draft dodgers fled San Francisco to hide out in Canada. After the entire group got completely stoned,they wrecked in a snowbank. When they came off their high,they thought they’d made it to Canada and started a little commune. Voila. Up popped the town of Hailey,population 8000.

There is a vile little barfbag named Brandon Friedman in the Obama regime. He is deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is what this festering pile of cowflop tweeted:

It was during this secretive visit, which occurred around a week before Bergdahl’s release, that the Kabul CIA station chief was outed.

Of course, Obama’s people say the outing was accidental.

Maybe it was, just like Bergdahl might be just as honorable as the always very honest Susan Rice says he is.

Friends,I apologize to put most of the bergdahl stuff here,but there’s so much I could do two posts and I appreciate you only have so much time.

I’m doing two posts tomorrow. One is the usual Fun Post,the other a special one to honor the 70th anniversary of D-Day. It is heartbreaking that there are just a very small handful of these very special men left. I’m not a particularly eloquent man but no one has any more love and respect to for these all-but-forgotten heroes. I will honor them as best as I possibly can.

I was going to post the graphic Mad Magazine had spoofing the regime called Saving Private Bergdahl. I checked yesterday’s post and Mindful and Red had both put it up. Their skills are so far above mine I’m not even in the same league. Fear not, there is a bounty of material.

Let’s review:

Vote fraud: no biggie

Fast and Furious: only a couple border patrol agents murdered

NSA eavesdropping: so what?

Obamacare: settled law…subject to the king’s whims

Benghazi: what difference,at this point,does it make?

VA scandal: now we have a problem. Abusing veterans is pretty easy to understand and real hard to justify.

Now comes the trade of five hardened killers for a miserable muslim wannabe deserter.

Obama knew if he notified congress thirty days in advance the sellout of our guys would never happen because it wouldn’t take long to realize what he was trying to pull. The administration has been lowered to blaming the troops who served with this scum as ‘swift-boaters.’ I don’t think that’ll fly. There just aren’t that many Americans who despise the military as much as their commander does.

Congressman Allen West tweeted yesterday that it’s time to begin impeachment proceedings. I just wished the GOP had the balls to stand up for our fighting forces and do it. But I suppose it’s all just thinking wishfully.

It seems that,as with most of the crimes committed by this punk, the information comes out in drips and drabs as the regime concocts lie after lie which are mostly defended by their army of media whores. It seems the Army knew of Bergdahl’s desertion and didn’t want to risk genuine warriors’ lives trying to rescue a sniveling jihadist-wannabe maggot. The Army claims it will investigate claims he deserted,but if you think they’ll have the guts to try him or find him guilty you’re not paying attention to how the Obama syndicate works.

He’s in Poland today,doubtless to apologize for removing the missile defense shield that protected them from possible Russian aggression. (Just kidding….he could care less if Putin stormed in and grabbed everything.) Does it seem to you that he manages to pull his dirty shenanigans right before he gets out of the country and lets his paid liars cover for him? Maybe its just me.

White potatoes cannot be purchased with a WIC (food for wimmins and chilrens) card? WTF?? Did all red-blooded American kids grow up on potatoes? Including The First Harpoon Target herself? She asserts:

Every night when I go to bed I pray to the Lord: If You’re ready for me, I’m ready to go. There was a special hearing on the VA scandal last night and it went exactly the same as every other hearing. Officials had been pre-warned by the regime to say nothing. Stonewall. Keep your mouth shut and you’ll walk away from this clean. The GOP can’t do a damn thing to you.

Obama and Holder will protect you as long as you keep quiet. That’s the way this bag of bastards approaches every crime they commit. The GOP is calling for Holder-Himmler to investigate the VA. What the hell are they smoking? In what hallucinogenic state do they think that corrupt prick is going to do anything? Hope everybody had an awesome holiday weekend. Time to put graduations,memorials and cookouts behind and put on the snarky suit. Barky got up early to get in another round of golf at Andrews before jetting off for a surprise visit to some real men in Afghanistan. I heard his speech and it was painfully apparent to me that his words of praise for the troops were as hollow and empty as his soul. I have nothing to base it on but my own gut feeling but I’m thinking there were a lot of soldiers there who didn’t really want to be. I judge that by the cheers I heard that were polite but not overly enthusiastic. He announced he was,in essence,unilaterally surrendering and most of the troops would be out by the end of the year. He also accidentally outed the CIA station chief,who now has to be transferred out. Can they pin this on Scooter Libby? The countries’ president and biggest opium dealer,Hamid Karzai, wouldn’t even meet the Nubian Nightmare at the airport…he had scheduling conflicts. Only in his own twisted mind do any world leaders have an ounce of respect for this no-talent clown.

It is at times like this I wish I possessed the God-given rhetorical skills to convey the depth of admiration and awe I hold our patriots in uniform in. What makes a person volunteer to go through months of training and hardship that would break the will of most of us to do perform a duty that can put them in grave danger for pitifully small pay? They don’t do it for the money. That’s the part most liberals can’t understand. Theirs is a calling higher than merely what can I get while giving little or nothing?

Not to be underestimated are the families who go through day after day not knowing where or even how their loved ones are. They mark the days off on a calendar until they can once again throw their arms around their hero,see them hug the baby that was born while he was away,and the dogs going crazy because their beloved master has returned.

This day is dedicated to the millions of wives,parents and siblings that have looked out the window to see two uniformed officers coming up the walkway. Her throat hardens,her eyes start burning and she can’t speak because she knows why they’re there. ‘With sincerest regrets’…the rest is lost forever. He’s lost forever,doing what he thought was right. A gold star,a neatly folded tri-corner flag and a headstone are all that remains other than the heartfelt gratitude of all freedom-loving Americans.

It is a poverty that such noble warriors as these are now under the command of an incompetent shyster that can scarcely contain his scorn for the very military he uses as props for his own benefit then allows them to be treated shabbily by the administration whose function it purportedly is to bind up their wounds and make them as whole as possible. They paid for their medical care…in advance. That people who come across our border illegally to get what our soldiers have sacrificed for while they are made to wait until they die is beyond a national disgrace.

The battle against evil never ends. The assault on our freedoms by those who would take them from us is constant and we must never give up hope. To do so would be a betrayal of all that have preserved this precious gift with all they had. Tomorrow will come soon enough. For at least this one day let us reflect on all that we have…and who made it possible.
