Some Random Thoughts and Assorted Stuff

So there I was, sleeping peacefully after posting this morning, when the phone rang. I never bother answering it (we have an answering machine…remember those?) and the first word I hear is: “Mama?” That’s all it takes. My wife, a senior citizen with a bad hip and two surgically repaired knees, burst out of her bedroom and grabbed the phone like a starving man with a ribeye steak. Miss Isabel has been sick for two days and her mom was going to leave her at home by herself until she can get her to the doctor later today. Grandma wan’t having any of it. They live in Dekalb, some 35-40 miles away. Makes no difference. She’s off to the rescue like she was shot out of a cannon. Such is life with a doting grandmother.

Congress is back for the lame duck session today after the break for the election. This can be an extremely dangerous time, since there are those bent on wreaking as much havoc as possible before they leave for good. The republicans seem to have mended fences and are eager to get back to work. There are literally hundreds of bills that were sent to the Senate for debate that the soon-to-be-gone shitheel Harry Reid wiped his wrinkled, liver-spotted backside with. He was the one who unilaterally decided to do away with the time-honored filibuster to shove hundreds of Obama’s leftist judges through the nomination process. He stopped short of including the Supreme Court.

Much to many peoples’ dismay Bitchy Mitchy said he would allow the Democrats to filibuster all of Trumps SCOTUS nominations. This would be a huge mistake. The trouble with the way the dems rule is that they never consider the possibility these tactics may be used against them. One of the overwhelming reasons people voted for Trump was that they knew the consequences of a liberal court would be. The notorious RBG is 88. She will be 90 before the next midterms. My guess is that the democrats will keep her there as long as possible, like Weekend at Bernies. Breyer and Kennedy are both in their 80s. If The Donald wins a second term he has a chance to place at least 3 judges on the bench. There’s no guarantee that his picks won’t end up like Souter or that backstabber John Roberts, but with a democrat president it would be a sure thing they’d be hard leftists.

Something else that occurred to me. I wonder if the media will show the same deference to Trump’s children that they did for Obama’s. (Don’t count on it.) Barron is 10 years old and could be 18 before all is said and done.
Compare this:
21-rnc-barron-trump-nocrop-w529-h373to this:
malia-obamath
Their behavior has been a disgrace, but has been widely accepted because they’re democrats.

Barry is on his final world tour, lecturing the world about what a tremendous job he’s done as president and hopes Trump will leave his One World Order intact. The way I look at it, winning gets us a twofer. Both Obama and the Bloody Bitch…GONE.

Obama has stated he’s going to stay in DC until Sashay finishes high school. I wouldn’t bet the farm on it. You can’t play golf in DC in January. Chicago either. My chips would go on the square that says his bony ass is off to Hawaii pronto. He can spend his days golfing, surfing, getting high, and collecting royalty checks from the books Bill Ayers wrote for him.

How refreshing will it be for us to have a president who wears suits when he speaks instead of his shirt sleeves, doesn’t wear mom jeans or ride a bike with one of those sissy foam helmets.

The last two Secretaries of State have been Hillary and Climate Change Kerry, the male gigolo. Word is that SOS will be Rudy Giuliani, if he wants it. Imagine the culture shock among the terrorist countries that are used to dealing with people they consider a pathetic joke. I think they’ll get along until the first time they try to play him and find out he won’t take any bullshit.

The personal attacks began election night and will no doubt continue until he’s out of office. How he governs is yet to be seen. I remain skeptical, given his past, but one thing is sure… whatever kind of president he turns out to be, it’s a helluva lot better than the alternative.

Crap….not enough room for the next batch of links. Life is filled with these bitter disappointments. Well,it’s time for another nap anyway.

TRUMP IS CERTAINLY NOT AN UNKNOWN. THIS IS A MONTAGE OF HIS RECORD OF TWEAKING HIS CRITICS.

It’s not very often I make a recommendation. This is one of those times. This man made a series of videos before the election. This is his last one, a tribute to all who made an end to the socialist tyranny possible. This is well worth the 3 minutes it takes to watch.

Meet The 7 Veterans Newly Elected To Congress
THE MEDIA WON’T TELL YOU ABOUT THIS….BUT PETE WILL
The number of veterans serving in Congress is set to increase in 2017.
There’s no question that the military molds ordinary citizens into incredible leaders, and it appears the rest of the country has begun to recognize that, too.

At least 27 post-9/11 veterans won congressional races on Nov. 8, while the current Congress includes 26 veterans. In addition, at least 18 veteran incumbents won reelection and three senators were not up for reelection this year. There are, however, still handful of races that have run-offs as you can see from this chart drawn up by Military Times.

Jonathan Gruber Discovers ‘Stupidity’ Is Wrong Word For American Voters
Well, if anyone is “stupid” in this story, it’s not the voters, but the academics who in their hubris designed an Affordable Care Act that became so unpopular that it became a decisive factor in Hillary Clinton’s defeat.

‘They’re Good People’: Trump Backs Off Promise to Investigate Clinton with Special Prosecutor, Repeats Vows on ObamaCare and Border Wall in First Post-Election TV Interview
REGARDLESS OF HOW HE FEELS ABOUT THE CLINTONS, THE FBI IS STILL INVESTIGATING THE E-MAIL CONSPIRACY.
President-elect Donald Trump, in his first television interview since his surprise election victory, repeated his vows to build a wall across America’s southern border, deport criminal illegal aliens, and repeal and replace ObamaCare.

Radio host Todd Kincannon from The Kincannon Show tweeted today that a CNN reporter told him Hillary Clinton became physically violent towards Robby Mook and John Podesta around midnight last Tuesday as the presidency was slipping away.

Oregon official who fined Christian bakery into shutting down loses election

Commissioner of the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries Brad Avakian gained infamy when he fined a Christian bakery with $135,000 for refusing to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple. Avakian looked to move up in the state government by attempting to run for Secretary of State. His campaign claimed that he would use his office to come down hard on corporations with audits, use his governmental powers to protect the environment, and police workplace pay.
None of these things being what a secretary of state does.
What’s more, Avakian lost to a Republican, former state representative Dennis Richardson. Aside from being a Republican beating a Democrat out of office in Oregon, Richardson will be the first Republican voted into statewide office in 14 years.

Agents Brace for Pre-Trump Border Surge
Border patrol union president predicts career-level supervisors will now resist Obama directives to stem rush
With Donald Trump’s presidency now only a matter of time instead of a hypothetical, border agents are bracing for a surge in illegal immigration at the southwest border as people race to get into the United States before the door shuts.
At the same time, according to the head of the union representing 16,5000 U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents, career-level managers of the agency are likely to push back against the directives of outgoing political appointees of President Obama.

Good News: Trump will Re-Install Churchill Bust in the Oval Office
In your face, Barack.
In 2009 Barack Obama removed the Churchill bust from the Oval Office.
It was tacky.
Obama replaced the Churchill bust with a photo of himself walking on water.
Mr Farage said: “We talked about the prospect of the United Kingdom being at the front of the queue, all of which was met positively.”
His comments come after outgoing President Barack Obama told the UK earlier this year that its decision to leave the EU meant it would be at the “back of the queue” for trade talks.

Trump’s plan to bring back coal country places EPA in crosshairs
Over the last eight years of the Obama administration, the EPA “used the legal rubrics of the Clean Air Act really to pursue a low-carbon energy policy and really not to further environmental protection,” she said.
“Carbon dioxide has no adverse impact in the air we breath at all,” Hartnett-White said. “It’s a harmless trace gas that is actually an essential nutrient for plants.”

The two also discussed how to resolve the conflict in Syria and how improve trade relations. They agreed that at the moment, the relationship between the U.S. and Russia was “unsatisfactory.”
The U.S. is “very much looking forward to having a strong and enduring relationship with Russia and the people of Russia,” Trump told the Russian leader.

Trump Tells ’60 Minutes’: ‘I’m Pro-Life. The Judges Will Be Pro-Life’
“Here’s what’s going to happen. I’m going to put– I’m pro-life. The judges will be pro-life. They’ll very much—” Trump said.
“But what about overturning this law?” Stahl asked.
They’re going to be very pro-2nd Amendment, but having to do with abortion, what it– if it ever were overturned, it would go back to the states, so it would go back to the states,” Trump said.
“Then some women won’t be able to get an abortion,” Stahl said.
“No, it’ll go back to the states,” Trump said.
“By state, no, some—” Stahl interjected.
“Well, they’ll perhaps have to go to another state,” Trump said.
“And that’s okay?” Stahl asked.
“Well, we’ll see what happens. It’s got a long way to go, just so you understand. That has a long, long way to go,” Trump replied.

Selectively supporting the rule of law

That’s how tyrants operate.  It’s not supposed to be how WE operate!  It is only our blind rule of law that protects our freedoms!  These morons would suffer head explosions if any city were to attempt to ignore any law they support.

It’s a Beautiful Day

You know that commercial on TV that says: If you have an erection lasting more than 4 hours consult a doctor? If you have a slight smile on your face that’s lasted almost a week, should you seek medical help? Not really. Just look at all the paid protesters and the little snowflakes who need coloring books and Play-Doh to cope with the fact they didn’t get their own way. That’s what decades of parental indulgence, never punishing kids, telling them everything is someone else’s fault and everybody gets a trophy, so nobody has hurt feelings because they lost.

As you can well imagine, the Sunday BS sessions were all still fuming about how they could get it so wrong. They could probably use a few cases of this:

New York Times publisher vows to ‘rededicate’ paper to reporting honestly
AFTER BEING CAUGHT CO-ORDINATING WITH THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN AND PURPOSELY BURYING ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT HER, THEY PROMISE TO DO BETTER. DON’T HOLD YOUR BREATH.
Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr., the paper’s embattled publisher, appealed to Times readers for their continued support.
“We cannot deliver the independent, original journalism for which we are known without the loyalty of our subscribers,” the letter states
She wrote about another reader who asked that the paper should focus on the electorate instead of “pushing the limited agenda of your editors.”
“Please come down from your New York City skyscraper and join the rest of us.”
Sulzberger — who insisted that the paper covered both candidates fairly — also sent a note to staffers on Friday reminding the newsroom to “give the news impartially, without fear or favor

Obama Takes In Thousands of Illegal Muslim Migrants Who Couldn’t Get In to Australia
HE’S TRYING TO CAUSE AS MUCH PAIN AS HE POSSIBLY CAN BEFORE HE’S KICKED OUT
Obama is trying to sneak in thousands more Muslims before the door closes. And he’s trying to get them anywhere he can. If Australia won’t take in Muslims, Obama will show up asking the Aussies to send them on over.
We’re not even being told the total numbers who will shortly be making their way to our shores, but the Journal notes that two of the camps located on Naru and Manus Islands currently hold a combined total of more than 1,300 of them. And where do these migrants come from? The majority are from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and Sri Lanka

U.S. to push ahead on climate pact before Trump takes over: Kerry
“Until January 20 when this administration is over, we intend to do everything possible to meet our responsibility to future generations to be able to address this threat to life itself on the planet.”
President Barack Obama spent five hours golfing Saturday and returned to the links again Sunday as cities across the country were convulsed in violent protests by Obama’s fellow Democrats about the election of Republican Donald Trump to succeed Obama. Obama has not issued a statement about the protests that have included calls to kill Trump, kill police, rape Melania Trump and where numerous reporters have been attacked by pro-Hillary protesters.
THEN ONE LAST WORLD TOUR ON OUR DIME
Obama’s final foreign trip a ‘group therapy’ session
The president will travel to Athens on Monday, then to Berlin on Wednesday and finally Lima, Peru, on Friday. He’s expected to return to Washington, DC, on Sunday.
In a moment of deep shock and depression in Europe — the US was not supposed to elect Donald Trump — this visit has become a kind of group therapy by which European leaders will try to reassure themselves that the America we know won’t disappear,” Josef Joffe, a Stanford University scholar, told the Journal

Michael Moore: We should run Oprah, Tom Hanks for president
“Look that’s the sideshow that needs to happen in a week like this but, frankly, Democrats would be better off if they ran Oprah or Tom Hanks.” “Why don’t we run beloved people? We have so many of them. The Republicans do this. They run Reagan and the Terminator and other people. Why don’t we…why don’t we run somebody that the American people love?” he said.

Oprah Winfrey Faces Backlash About Her Comments Following Donald Trump’s Win
While speaking to the Associated Press on Thursday, Oprah Winfrey admitted that she was in disbelief at Donald Trump’s win and Hillary Clinton’s shocking defeat on Tuesday.

GOP To Use Previously Unheard Of Tactic To Slam Dunk Trump Agenda
The Republican congressional leadership is seriously considering an unprecedented procedure to guarantee that its and President-elect Donald Trump’s highest priorities are quickly enacted soon after Congress convenes next year.
The key is “reconciliation,” the part of the congressional budget process that allows highly controversial policies to be considered in the Senate without any possibility of them being filibustered.

You gotta win elections if you want to change things. That’s the way the system works, O says.

Donald Trump Picks Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff
WE JUST HAVE TO TRUST HE HAS A PLAN.
In selecting Mr. Priebus, the president-elect passed over Stephen K. Bannon, the right-wing media mogul who oversaw his presidential campaign. If Mr. Trump had appointed Mr. Bannon, a fierce critic of the Republican establishment, it would have demonstrated a continued disdain for a party that Mr. Trump fought throughout his campaign.
Mr. Trump’s choice is certain to anger some of his most conservative supporters, many of whom expect him to battle the Washington establishment over issues like taxes, immigration, trade, health care and the environment. They view Mr. Priebus as a deal maker who will be too eager to push the new president toward compromise.

HIS CHIEF ADVISOR
Antidiscrimination groups denounce Trump’s appointment of Steve Bannon
HE’S GOT ALL THE RIGHT PEOPLE PISSED AT HIM
A chorus of advocacy groups, commentators and congressional Democrats denounced Bannon as a proponent of racist, anti-Semitic and misogynistic views as Trump began his first full week as president-elect. Trump named Bannon his chief strategist and senior counselor on Sunday while also appointing Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus to be his chief of staff.
It is easy to see why the KKK views Trump as their champion when Trump appoints one of the foremost peddlers of White Supremacist themes and rhetoric as his top aide. Bannon was ‘the main driver behind Breitbart becoming a white ethno-nationalist propaganda mill,’ according to the Southern Poverty Law Center

Sen. Manchin calls Harry Reid ‘absolute embarrassment’ for anti-Trump rant
DON’T BE SURPRISED IF, AT SOME POINT, HE SWITCHES TO REPUBLICAN
“Senator Harry Reid’s statement today attacking President-elect Trump is wrong! It is an absolute embarrassment to the Senate as an institution, our Democratic party, and the nation,” Mr. Manchin, West Virginia Democrat, said in a statement released late Friday.
“I want to be very clear, he does not speak for me,” said Mr. Manchin, one of the most conservative Democrats in the upper chamber of the U.S. Congress.
Mr. Reid, Nevada Democrat, lashed out at Americans who backed Mr. Trump, saying they confirmed the ascendance of “hate and bigotry in America.”
THIS IS WHAT MANCHIN WAS TALKING ABOUT:

Ingraham would not comment for this article. A source familiar told The Hill that she’s in contact with people in Trump’s inner circle and has expressed interest in the role.

BREAKING NEWS: Chicago Cubs are being forced to give up their World Series title. (self.The_Donald)
Cleveland Indians fans have rioted across the country in protest of the 2016 World Series. Despite knowing the rules of the game prior to playing, they were unhappy they lost and demanded the outcome to be changed.
They could be heard chanting #NotOurWorldSeriesChampion all across America. Even though the Cubs won 4 games and the Indians only won 3, since both teams scored 27 total runs throughout all 7 games, they are being declared co-world champions.
When questioned, Commissioner Manfred stated, “We felt as though it was the right thing to do for the nation. What kind of example would Major League Baseball be setting if we expected the adults who play this game, and their fans, to gracefully accept defeat? Instead of creating a bigger divide between the Cubs and Indians, MLB is confident that the Cubs will gladly share their victory with the Indians.”

Losers: Clinton Campaign Ignored Bill’s Advice And Felt White Working Class Voters Weren’t Worth The Time
In February of 2016, The New York Times reported that everyone in Clinton land thought they were going to slaughter Donald Trump. It was hubris. It was typical elitism from the liberal elite. And in the end, the Trump campaign smashed the face of the Clinton operation with a brick, doused it in gasoline, and set it on fire. It was an upset that no one, except for white working class America and die-hard Trump supporters, saw coming, which explains the epic temper tantrums emanating from the Left.

Trump’s 28-point “Contract with the American Voter”

“This is my pledge to you and if we follow these steps we will once more have a government of, by and for the people and importantly we will make America great again. Believe me.”

  1.  Propose a Constitutional Amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress.
  2.  Institute a hiring freeze on all federal employees to reduce federal workforce through attrition (exempting military, public safety, and public health).
  3.  Require for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated.
  4.  Institute a five year-ban on White House and Congressional officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government service.
  5.  Create a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government.
  6.  Institute a complete ban on foreign lobbyists raising money for American elections.
  7.  Announce intention to renegotiate NAFTA or withdraw from the deal under Article 2205.
  8.  Announce withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
  9.  Direct Secretary of the Treasury to label China a currency manipulator.
  10.  Direct the Secretary of Commerce and U.S. Trade Representative to identify all foreign trading abuses that unfairly impact American workers and direct them to use every tool under American and international law to end those abuses immediately.
  11.  Lift the restrictions on the production of $50 trillion dollars’ worth of job-producing American energy reserves, including shale, oil, natural gas and clean coal.
  12.  Lift the Obama-Clinton roadblocks and allow vital energy infrastructure projects, like the Keystone Pipeline, to move forward.
  13.  Cancel billions in payments to U.N. climate change programs and use the money to fix America’s water and environmental infrastructure.
  14.  Cancel every unconstitutional executive action, memorandum and order issued by President Obama.
  15.  Begin the process of selecting a replacement for Justice Scalia from one of the 20 judges on my list, who will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.
  16.  Cancel all federal funding to Sanctuary Cities.
  17.  Begin removing the more than 2 million criminal illegal immigrants from the country and cancel visas to foreign countries that won’t take them back.
  18.  Suspend immigration from terror-prone regions where vetting cannot safely occur. All vetting of people coming into our country will be considered extreme vetting.
  19.  Work with Congress on a Middle Class Tax Relief And Simplification Act.  An economic plan designed to grow the economy 4% per year and create at least 25 million new jobs through massive tax reduction and simplification, in combination with trade reform, regulatory relief, and lifting the restrictions on American energy. The largest tax reductions are for the middle class. A middle-class family with 2 children will get a 35% tax cut. The current number of brackets will be reduced from 7 to 3, and tax forms will likewise be greatly simplified. The business rate will be lowered from 35 to 15 percent, and the trillions of dollars of American corporate money overseas can now be brought back at a 10 percent rate.
  20.  Work with Congress on a End The Offshoring Act.  Establishes tariffs to discourage companies from laying off their workers in order to relocate in other countries and ship their products back to the U.S. tax-free.
  21.  Work with Congress on an American Energy & Infrastructure Act.  Leverages public-private partnerships, and private investments through tax incentives, to spur $1 trillion in infrastructure investment over 10 years. It is revenue neutral.
  22.  Work with Congress on a School Choice And Education Opportunity Act.  Redirects education dollars to gives parents the right to send their kid to the public, private, charter, magnet, religious or home school of their choice. Ends common core, brings education supervision to local communities. It expands vocational and technical education, and make 2 and 4-year college more affordable.
  23.  Work with Congress on a Repeal and Replace Obamacare Act.  Fully repeals Obamacare and replaces it with Health Savings Accounts, the ability to purchase health insurance across state lines, and lets states manage Medicaid funds. Reforms will also include cutting the red tape at the FDA: there are over 4,000 drugs awaiting approval, and we especially want to speed the approval of life-saving medications.
  24.  Work with Congress on a Affordable Childcare and Eldercare Act.  Allows Americans to deduct childcare and elder care from their taxes, incentivizes employers to provide on-side childcare services, and creates tax-free Dependent Care Savings Accounts for both young and elderly dependents, with matching contributions for low-income families.
  25.  Work with Congress on an End Illegal Immigration Act.  Fully-funds the construction of a wall on our southern border with the full understanding that the country Mexico will be reimbursing the United States for the full cost of such wall; establishes a 2-year mandatory minimum federal prison sentence for illegally re-entering the U.S. after a previous deportation, and a 5-year mandatory minimum for illegally re-entering for those with felony convictions, multiple misdemeanor convictions or two or more prior deportations; also reforms visa rules to enhance penalties for overstaying and to ensure open jobs are offered to American workers first.
  26.  Work with Congress on a Restoring Community Safety Act.  Reduces surging crime, drugs and violence by creating a Task Force On Violent Crime and increasing funding for programs that train and assist local police; increases resources for federal law enforcement agencies and federal prosecutors to dismantle criminal gangs and put violent offenders behind bars.
  27.  Work with Congress on a Restoring National Security Act. Rebuilds our military by eliminating the defense sequester and expanding military investment; provides Veterans with the ability to receive public VA treatment or attend the private doctor of their choice; protects our vital infrastructure from cyber-attack; establishes new screening procedures for immigration to ensure those who are admitted to our country support our people and our values.
  28. Work with Congress on a Clean up Corruption in Washington Act. Enacts new ethics reforms to Drain the Swamp and reduce the corrupting influence of special interests on our politics.

Suicide prevention hotlines see shocking spike in calls after Trump’s win: ‘We’ve never seen this before’
A record number of anguished calls flooded suicide prevention hotlines just before and after Donald Trump secured his shocking presidential victory.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline received 660 calls between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Wednesday — 2½ times the average.
“It clearly is and was an indication that there’s a lot of anxiety and fear around the election,” director John Draper told the Daily News.

Obama’s Legacy: The Total Destruction Of The Democratic Party
As the Democratic Party enters a long, lonely road out of power, it should be a lesson and a warning to Republicans. Never build a party apparatus and voter coalition so firmly behind a single, term-limited president. It’s dubious as to whether a successor can keep that winning coalition in place. For Clinton, she failed. In the end, Trump was expected to torpedo GOP gains; that didn’t happen. And Barack Obama will have to watch hopelessly as congressional Republicans–now working with a Trump White House–will undo most of his signature domestic achievements.
Thank God.

DNC Prepares To Elevate Muslim Congressman Ellison To Chief
THEY JUST DON’T GET IT.
If you thought the Democrats would respond to Donald Trump’s stunning victory in the 2016 presidential election by attempting to woo back some of the white blue-collar voters they lost over the last eight years, you’re sadly mistaken: they’ll be doubling down on the Obama coalition.
The proof: on Friday, support built dramatically among Democratic insiders like incoming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) as head of the Democratic National Committee.

Mike Pence Emerging as a Commanding Figure in Trump Administration
Given the dearth of hands-on Washington experience in the inner circle of President-elect Donald J. Trump, Mr. Pence, a former Republican congressman, is emerging as a commanding figure in the administration taking shape as well as the chief conduit between Capitol Hill and the White House.
“My guess is he will be one of the most involved, day-to-day, managerial vice presidents in the history of the republic,” said Representative Jeb Hensarling, a senior Republican from Texas and a close ally from Mr. Pence’s days on Capitol Hill.

United Nations (United States) (AFP) – UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon voiced confidence on Friday that Donald Trump will shed the strident rhetoric that propelled him to the White House and engage with the world to confront global crises like climate change.

CNN: Tea Party Patriots Warn Against Priebus for Chief of Staff
“No Washington insider, regardless of who it is, should serve as President Trump’s chief of staff,” Martin said. “Appointing Reince Priebus (or any other DC establishment insider) would make it more difficult, not less, for President Trump to achieve the change the people voted for. It’s time to drain the swamp — not promote insiders beholden to the Washington establishment who helped create it.”

Obama’s ‘legacy’ drive lost Florida for Clinton
“Pride goeth before destruction,” Proverbs 16:18 reminds us, and so it was in this election.
The evidence is mounting that President Obama’s overzealous defense of his “opening Cuba” gambit cost Hillary Clinton the state of Florida. That misstep could end up wiping out most of the president’s carefully curated “legacy” achievements.
Then in late October, President Obama went for broke and decided to stick a bigger needle in his opponents’ eye.
He lifted limits on the import of cigars and rum, and then ordered our ambassador to the United Nations to abstain from a vote condemning the US economic embargo on Cuba

SF bracing in case Trump cuts federal funds over sanctuary status
Mayor Ed Lee and San Francisco politicians are bracing for what President-elect Donald Trump lists as one of his main priorities: blocking “all federal funding” for sanctuary cities.
Of that money, $478 million comes directly from the federal government. The balance comes from the federal government via the state of California. The city’s current budget is $9.6 billion.
City officials are making contingency plans in case that money disappears.

Had those 108,600 votes gone to Hillary Clinton, she would have won the presidency with a a 278 to 260 electoral college victory over Trump.

A Study in Contrasts

Sitting here pondering events of the past week some things struck me about the difference in the paths the present and future presidents have taken to fulfill their destinies.Their personal histories,it seems, give an insight into their leadership capabilities as ostensibly the most powerful man in the world.
Barack Obama was educated at the finest private school in Hawaii, thanks to his grandmother who he later referred to as ‘a typical white woman.’He realized at a young age that being part white got him no special treatment.Claiming to be first foreign-born,then black he rode the affirmative action bus all the way to Harvard. He was made head of the Law Review strictly because of his race.He never wrote even a single article that was published. He’s always been notoriously lazy and has had everything, including the presidency handed to him without much effort on his own part.
He had all his records sealed by court order before he started hi political career.Virtually nothing was known about him at the time and the media wasn’t about to tell anybody what he really was.As a student of Saul Alinsky he ruled for 8 miserable years, almost by fiat.It took almost the full first two years to shove Obamacare down the nations’ throat, even with majorities in both chambers. His arrogance would not allow him to accept someone else could be smarter than he was.Not his generals, not his finance experts, not his foreign policy people. He did what he wanted to,when he wanted, then he squeezed in some 300 rounds of golf and monthly vacation trips for he and his brood, all without a word of dissent from his willing accomplices in the press.
Now comes president-elect Donald Trump.Son of a millionaire,he studied business and went on to create an empire of his own.His life has always been an open book and he has no secrets.Unlike nearly every politician on the Hill who got a degree in political science before they went about getting elected to public office so they could get fabulously wealthy without ever actually accomplishing anything. We know everything about Trump, since he was thoroughly vetted before he ever ran for office. He tapped into the frustration and the rage of 60 million people who were tired of being preached to,ridiculed and burdened with onerous regulations that made life almost unlivable.
Unlike Obama,Trump has run businesses before, met payrolls and knows how to get the best bang for the buck.I’m confident he will surround himself with people who are capable of doing what must be done and getting results.Delegating responsibility is a basic tenet of running a successful company. One man had everything handed to him,had the full support of the entire radical left and never did anything to make the lives of ordinary(straight, white,Christians)any better. He made no secret of the contempt he held them in.
There is no way to gauge what kind of president Trump will be but he has the tools and the support to make this country great again. We’ll see soon enough what life will be like.At this point avoiding having to listen to the shrill cackling of pompous wanna-be queen is enough for me.

Cherry Picking in November

Still so much left to sift through. What a week it’s been. Here are some things that I thought you might enjoy.

Back to the future: Howard Dean to run for DNC chairman

THE DEMOCRATS KEEP RECYCLING THEIR OLD LOSERS.
‘REJOICE FOR THE SCREAMER LIVETH’….(THAT’S CALLED A PLAY ON WORDS)
Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, who led the DNC from 2005 to 2009, said Thursday via Twitter that he wants the job back when current interim chief Donna Brazile leaves in spring.
“The dems need organization and focus on the young. Need a fifty State strategy and tech rehab. I am in for chairman again,” he tweeted.

‘Melania liked Mrs. O a lot’: First Lady’s tea with her successor is kept behind closed doors (despite warm public welcome Bushes gave the Obamas) and photo is only released after media pressure
Michelle Obama met her successor this afternoon, greeting Melania Trump at the White House when she arrived and hosting her for tea
Press were barred from covering the visit that coincided with their husbands’ 90-minute meeting in the Oval Office
The Trumps arrived at the White House via a private entrance on the south side of the building. They left the same way they came
A photo of the women chatting popped up online hours later, after the White House was pressured to release it
In 2008 President George W. Bush and his wife Laura eagerly greeted the Obamas on the South Lawn – and reporters were allowed to cover it
I’D BET MONEY THAT MELANIA WAS GRACIOUS AND FRIENDLY AND THE GHETTO TRASH WANTED TO CLAW HER EYES OUT
WHAT STRUCK ME WAS THAT ALL THESE DESIGNERS MADE CLOTHES FOR MOOCH IN SIZE XXXL;MELANIA COULD MAKE SACKCLOTH LOOK STUNNING

Chelsea Clinton being groomed to run for Congress

LIVING OFF SLICK WILLY’S REPUTATION: CHECK
Chelsea could run for the seat in NYC’s 17th Congressional District once Lowey, a respected, 79-year-old career politician with nearly 30 years in office, decides to retire, we have exclusively learned.
Lowey’s district includes parts of Rockland and Westchester counties and, conveniently, Chappaqua, the Clinton family home base
SHE COMES FROM A LONG LINE OF CARPETBAGGERS

Experts Question If Clinton Foundation Will Survive

WHEN, OH WHEN WILL WE BE RID OF THIS NEST OF VERMIN?
The months ahead could determine what kind of future, if any, the Clinton Foundation can have as Congress and the new administration of President-elect Donald Trump take what is certain to be a tough look the ethical and legal issues that have swirled for years around the troubled charity

Memo to Trump: Exploit your win!
The protests, riots and violence that have attended his triumph in city after city should only serve to steel his resolve.
As for promptings that he “reach out” and “reassure” those upset by his victory, and trim or temper his agenda to pacify them, Trump should reject the poisoned chalice. This is the same old con.

A partial agenda: First, he should ignore any importunings by President Obama to permit passage of the Trans-Pacific Partnership in a lame-duck session – and let the trade deal sink by year’s end.

On Jan. 20, he should have vetted and ready to nominate to the high court a brilliant constitutionalist and strict constructionist.
With a new education secretary, he should announce White House intent to work for repeal of Common Core and announce the introduction of legislation to put federal resources behind the charter schools that have proven to be a godsend to inner-city black children.

Trump should announce a date soon for repeal and replacement of Obamacare and introduction of his new tax-and-trade legislation to bring back manufacturing and create American jobs.

Donald Trump said in his campaign that that this is America’s last chance. If we lose this one, he said, we lose the country.
The president-elect should ignore his more cautious counselors and act with the urgency of his declared beliefs.

IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING WHERE DIAMOND AND SILK WERE:
CAN YOU IMAGINE THESE TWO AS PRESS SECRETARY?

Trump Picks Top Climate Skeptic to Lead EPA Transition
Choosing Myron Ebell means Trump plans to drastically reshape climate policies
Ebell is a well-known and polarizing figure in the energy and environment realm. His participation in the EPA transition signals that the Trump team is looking to drastically reshape the climate policies the agency has pursued under the Obama administration. Ebell’s role is likely to infuriate environmentalists and Democrats but buoy critics of Obama’s climate rules.

Mitchell Shocked by Photo of Trump and Obama Together: ‘Good Lord’

“That is the moment, Donald Trump in the Oval Office with President Obama,” Mitchell said.

[CtH: Just a guess here that if this were 2008, she would have said, “President-Elect Obama in the Oval Office with George Bush.”]

She continued to report on the historic moment but let her emotions go and appeared shocked before ending her comments.

“But, good lord, that is an image a lot of people did not expect to see,” Mitchell said.

President-Elect Trump Saluted by Firefighters as He Leaves New York for Meeting with President Obama

President-Elect Donald Trump flew out of New York City’s LaGuardia Airport Thursday morning aboard his private jet Trump Force One. As the plane taxied for takeoff firefighters paid their respects to Trump with a traditional water cannon salute. Nearby, a group of firefighters and officials enthusiastically waved to Trump as the plane rolled by them.

FIRST RESPONDERS WILL BE TREATED A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY UNDER TRUMP
Trump calls slain cop’s widow to offer condolences

OF ALL THE POLICE OFFICERS SLAUGHTERED ON OBAMA’S WATCH HE SENT REPRESENTATIVES TO THE FUNERALS OF THE CRIMINALS BUT NEVER A COP… EVER.

President-elect Donald Trump called slain NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo’s widow Thursday morning and personally extended his “condolences” to her on the day that thousands of police officers paid tribute to the fallen Finest at his funeral.

“I’m very sorry I cannot be there with you today. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time,” Trump told the grieving woman, according to a source.

“I want to express my condolences from me and my family.”

Tuozzolo, a married father of two, was shot and killed last week by 35-year-old ex-con Manuel Rosales. Tuozzolo had been responding to a report of a break-in.

UAW seeks to join Trump in effort to dismantle NAFTA
For years, the UAW has railed against NAFTA and other free trade agreements while Republicans have generally supported free trade deals. This year, Trump turned Republican politics upside down.

IF HE SIGNS THE XL PIPELINE DEAL, WHICH I THINK HE WILL, HE’LL PUT MORE THAN 30,000 SKILLED UNION TRADES MEN BACK TO WORK.  HE CAN MAKE GREAT INROADS INTO THE MONOLITH THAT IS THE UNION VOTE.

Clinton Couldn’t Win Over White Women
But they split along educational lines.
Throughout these many months, the Clinton team made it clear that they believed her historic candidacy had the potential to sway portions of the electorate, most especially women voters. They were counting in no small part on the support of sisterhood.

But Clinton’s stunning loss Tuesday night showed that issues of culture and class mattered more to many American women than their gender.

Lou Dobbs: If I Were Trump My Hands Would Have Been Clutching at Paul Ryan’s Throat

Donald Trump flew to Washington DC on Thursday to meet with President Obama, Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

Paul Ryan was a very vocal critic of Donald Trump for the past year. Ryan even pulled his endorsement of Donald Trump a month before the election. If Ryan was not on Hillary’s payroll he should have been.

Tonight Lou Dobbs remarked on Trump’s meeting with anti-Trump Speaker Paul Ryan.

Lou Dobbs: I’ve got to tell you I’m such a base and petty man that if Paul Ryan had done to me what he did to Donald Trump my hands would, without any power to resist it all, would be clutching at his throat. And, I have to say, Donald Trump was very presidential. He actually may be seeking to attain the level of saint here in what he has tolerated.

Mayors of NY and Los Angeles pledge to remain immigrant sanctuaries
Officials in New York and Los Angeles on Thursday said they hoped President-elect Donald Trump would not follow through on a campaign promise to withhold federal funds from “sanctuary cities” that shield people who are in the country illegally.

HE’LL CUT YOUR FUNDING THEN YOU CAN PAY TO TAKE CARE OF THOSE MONGRELS YOURSELVES.

Trump’s Transition Team Considers Sarah Palin For Possible Cabinet Spot
WHAT STANDS OUT IS THAT REPUBLICANS HAVE A FAR DEEPER POOL OF TALENT TO PICK FROM BECAUSE MORE OF THEM HAVE REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE ACTUALLY WORKING JOBS BESIDES GETTING ELECTED AND RE-ELECTED.

The Trump campaign is floating the idea of tapping the former Alaskan governor as Trump’s interior secretary. Palin has made no secret about her interest in holding a position in a Trump administration.

“If I were head of that, I’d get rid of it,” Palin said in an interview in September, referring to the Department of Energy. She said abolishing the department would give states greater control of energy policy within their borders.

[CtH: I’d love to see her heading up Energy.  She did wonderful things for the industry in Alaska and really knows her business.]

Canadian Militia Vows To Protect Borders From Illegal Americans

“This ain’t no Mexico border. Illegals will face snow and deadly cold temperatures, notwithstanding dangerous predator attacks from bears, cougars and wolves. If you’re an American crossing the border illegally, your chances of survival are pretty slim ”  – John C. McCaullagh, Militia leader

“Killing illegal citizens is a crime in Canada and we don’t openly encourage violence within our organization, but we can’t prevent members from shooting a few rounds at them just to scare them away. If you accidentally get hit in the knee or in the leg, without medical assistance, you’re a dead man within 2 or 3 days” he warns. “Better alive in the US than dead in Canada. It just ain’t worth the gamble,” he adds.

Top Clinton Adviser: She Didn’t ‘Contemplate Losing’ the White House
A top campaign adviser to Hillary Clinton said the former Democratic nominee “really didn’t contemplate losing” the presidential election to her opponent Donald Trump.  The unnamed adviser told People magazine on Wednesday that campaign staff were unsure of what Clinton would do next.

NY Times Crank: “America Elected a Bigot” – “I Do Not Respect the President-Elect”

New York Times columnist Charles Blow went off on a racist tirade against Donald Trump — who was never accused of being racist until he ran for president as a Republican.

Trump is already working to erase Obama’s legacy from history
HOW MUCH HE CAN OR WILL ACCOMPLISH REMAINS TO BE SEEN

President-elect Donald Trump was surprisingly gracious as he met President Barack Obama in the Oval Office on Thursday but make no mistake: He is already working to erase major parts of Obama’s legacy from the history books.

Trump will be able to change some of Obama’s policies with a quick stroke of the pen. Others will be much more difficult, requiring justification to pass legal hurdles or buy-in from lawmakers on Capitol Hill or foreign leaders.

[CtH: I’m very encouraged by Trump’s behavior here. It points to what I’ve been hoping — i.e., that he is capable of growing into the job, something Obama The Petty never did.]

Life For Our Veterans (And Our Military) Could Be Much Different Soon
I POSTED THIS THIS MORNING. SOMEBODY MUST BE READING OUR LITTLE BLOG.

On both fronts, thankfully, I believe a new era dawns. On the campaign trail, candidate Donald Trump made both rebuilding our military and fixing the VA two of his signature issues.

President-elect Trump is poised to do the same. President-elect Trump has pledged to get rid of the disastrous defense sequester, invest in long-overdue future military technologies, grow the ranks and numbers of ships and aircraft, and repeal stifling rules of engagement that handcuff our troops.

In just a few years, the posture of our military could look much different—ensuring America both deters aggression and can swiftly defeat enemies.

[CtH: I hope this signals better working conditions for my kids.]

Franken: Americans Should Blame Republicans for Rising Obamacare Premiums

ALAS, THERE’S ALWAYS A SKUNK TO STINK THINGS UP

“The people they should be mad at, really, are Republican officeholders who refused to do anything other than vote to repeal the [Affordable Care Act],” he said. On September 30, Minnesota Commerce Commissioner Mike Rothman announced that health insurance rates will increase from 50 percent to 67 percent in 2017.

[CtH: Typical Democrat who can’t admit he was wrong, ever.  They assured us that THEIR “AFFORDABLE Care Act” was going to lower premiums.]

Concerns grow of press kept at bay during Donald Trump presidency
9_142016_160318-pol-trump-me8201_s878x627
I WOULDN’T BLAME HIM A BIT. AND I’D NEVER DO TAPED INTERVIEWS, GIVEN THE MEDIA’S PENCHANT FOR ‘CREATIVE EDITING.’

[CtH: Second that!]

President-elect Donald Trump never hid his contempt for the news media during the campaign and has continued to keep the press at bay after winning the election, raising concerns he will end the tradition of allowing a pool of reporters to cover his every move in public.

Mr. Trump, who at campaign rallies regularly denounced the news media as “the most dishonest people you’ll ever meet,” has support for breaking the tradition and keeping the public in the dark about his daily whereabouts.

“I don’t think Trump needs the press pool,” said Rep. Duncan Hunter, a California Republican who is a top Trump ally on Capitol Hill. “He didn’t need it when he ran and he doesn’t need it as president of the United States.”

“If I had just won the election after everyone said I’d lose and rooted for my opponent, why would I give anyone the time of day,” said Mr. Hunter.

GOP To Use Previously Unheard Of Tactic To Slam Dunk Trump Agenda
WE’VE BEEN WAITING DECADES FOR THE REPUBLICANS TO GROW A PAIR AND START DISHING OUT SOME OF WHAT THEY’VE HAD TO TAKE FROM SCARY HARRY AND HIS MERRY BAND OF CUTTHROATS.

The key is “reconciliation,” the part of the congressional budget process that allows highly controversial policies to be considered in the Senate without any possibility of them being filibustered.

But reconciliation by itself isn’t the unprecedented procedure; it’s the novel way the leadership plans to use reconciliation: For the first time in the 4-plus decades’ history of the congressional budget process, reconciliation may occur twice in the same year.

Harry Reid Dismisses Donald Trump: ‘A Sexual Predator Who Lost the Popular Vote’

I’M GOING TO MISS THIS SORRY ASS LIKE AN IMPACTED WISDOM TOOTH

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid broke his silence Friday on Donald Trump’s victory, denouncing Trump as a “sexual predator” who “lost the popular vote” and “emboldened the forces of hate and bigotry in America”—and who is now solely responsible for healing the country’s gaping political wounds.

In a fiery statement released three days after the election, Reid, who is retiring, holds Trump accountable for his comments on the campaign trail that inspired “fear” in women, Hispanics and African-Americans in the U.S.

[CtH: Well, I guess he’d know all about sexual predators in the Oval Office, now wouldn’t he?]

Violence Is Their Only Response

Today may set a record for the number of posts. The list of links I have bookmarked is longer than a reading of the charges on Hillary’s upcoming federal indictment. That oughta piss ’em off. Well-planned and well-financed (are you there, George?) riots are breaking out nationwide. They think if they raise enough hell we’ll let them have their way. The violence had even spread to grade schoolers. In all those cases so far, it’s thugs-in-training beating on white kids. They’re taught their bloody skills early. All that’s listed here is going to be examples of the way socialists handle defeat. (Hint: not very well at all.)

12 arrests during Trump protest in Richmond; statues damaged
I SAW THIS AND MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS OF OUR BELOVED TING AND PRAYING FOR HER SAFETY

RICHMOND, Va. — Hundreds of people marched through Richmond to protest the election of Donald Trump, and three Confederate statues were vandalized, authorities said Thursday. A dozen people were arrested.
Graffiti on the side of a statue of Confederate President Jefferson Davis said, “Your vote was a hate crime.” Also tagged were statues of Confederate General Robert E. Lee and naval officer and oceanographer Matthew Fontaine Maury.
The headquarters of the Republican Party of Virginia was also vandalized during the protest, chairman John Whitbeck said in a statement. TV station WWBT reported the doorbell was broken and graffiti was painted on the building.

Anti-Trump protesters accidentally march into Marine Corps pub crawl and things escalated quickly

Anti-Trump protesters chanted “dump Trump” as people in the bar cheered “U.S.A” over and over. After some tense minutes the protesters kept on with their march the Trump supporters yelled “you walked into the wrong bar!”

Thugs savagely assault man for ‘voting for Trump’
A group of African-American men were filmed dragging an older white man through the street and savagely attacking him because he “voted for Donald Trump”.
It is believed the violent attack took place in Chicago, local media reported.
Others run into the shot and steal his belongings as the men tell the victim he is “gonna pay for that s–t”.
