OREGON: Portland – Law enforcement officers had to be pulled from answering emergency calls to go to yet another riot on New Year’s Eve.
Members of a large crowd smashed windows, set fires, and threw rocks, bricks, frozen water bottles, Molotov cocktails and large fireworks at police. Some officers were also targeted by paint balloons that may have been laced with a caustic substance as it caused burning to the skin.
The Mayor Ted Wheeler said at a press briefing on Friday that his “good faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical Antifa and anarchists” and that he is committed to bringing “the criminal destruction and violence to an end.”

OREGON: Sandy – At least one Oregonian is standing up to Governor Jackboot Kate’s lockdown orders. Mayor Stan Pulliam of Sandy, Oregon, is encouraging the residents of his town to to socially distance and wear masks, but to open businesses at reduced capacities.
Pulliam noted that the governor has provided no scientific evidence to support strict lockdowns and that it’s hypocritical to label big-box stores “essential”, while forcing locally-owned businesses to lock down indefinitely.
SOUTH DAKOTA: Gov. Kristi Noem has refused to destroy its economy in the name of fighting the coronavirus. And its economy is now among the strongest in the country, with unemployment at 3.5%, increasing tax revenues, and a FY2020 budget surplus.
The national unemployment rate is 6.7% and, in states like New York and California that have relied heavily on lockdowns, it’s over 8%. Meanwhile, people are fleeing statese like New York and California, while the housing market in South Dakota is booming.

FDA: When hand sanitizer was in critically short supply, more than 800 distilleries stepped up to manufacture the product. Now they are being punished for helping out.
Under the mis-named CARES Act, manufacturers of over-the-counter drugs have to pay a fee to help fund the FDA’s regulatory activities. When distilleries started making hand sanitizer, they unknowingly stepped into this category and have recently been assess fines of $14,060 each.
The money is due on February 11. I sincerely hope POTUS Trump overturns it.

2020: Jovan Pulitzer’s testimony before the Georgia state senate is worth your time [13:43] – Among other things, he explains how Georgia printed two different kinds of ballots, one (blue) sent to predominantly Democrat areas and the other (red) send to predominantly Republican areas.
The red ones were deliberately designed to cause the Dominion machines to reject those ballots and send them to the adjudicator, who can change the votes. Pulitzer says he can check 500,000 physical ballots in 2 hours.

CLASS ACTION SUIT: Some jackass trying to make a buck has actually filed a class action lawsuit against the makers of King’s Hawaiian rolls, claiming the label constitutes fraudulent marketing because he thinks it says the rolls were made in Hawaii, while on the back, it says they were made in Torrance, California.
If you too are a jackass who has (or has not? Kwanzaa was invented in 1966 by Ronald McKinley Everett (born: July 14, 1941 in Maryland) who changed his name first to Ron Karenga, then to Maulana Ndabezitha Karenga. Five years later, Karenga was convicted of felony assault and false imprisonment. He was paroled in 1975 and still claims he was innocent of the charges and was actually a political prisoner.
One of the witnesses in the trial testified that Karenga and some other men stripped her and another woman, then whipped them with an electrical cord and beat them with a baton and toasters. She also testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in the other woman’s mouth and placed against her face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. As a result of her vile abuse of power, 4,150 outdated voter registrations will be accepted as valid in the runoff election, despite the individuals having submitted change of address documentation with the Postal Service.

VIDEO: [5:18] – In 1973, the Blessed Virgin Mary spoke to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa, a deaf convert from Buddhism, at her convent in Akita, Japan. As with all genuine Marian apparitions, Our Lady’s message was to make reparation for sin through prayer, penance and sacrifice. The statue was reported to have shed tears for 101 occasions which was witnessed by thousands of people. Sr. Agnes’ deafness was cured. She also received a stigmata in her hand and the same wound was later found in the hand of the wooden statue of our Lady in the convent.

The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres. The Church and altars will be vandalized. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

In the Jimmy Akin video, he makes a case for his belief that the events of the third message (and Fatima) occurred in the second half of the 20th century and that the “terrible punishment” (nuclear war?) was averted by our prayers.

ICE: The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency deported more than 185,000 illegal aliens in Fiscal Year 2020 including more than 4,200 gang members.
I expect they’ll all turn around and come back if Biden gets installed.
MASSACHUSETTS: Gov. Charlie Baker is a pro-abortion Republican, but some things go too far even for him. He just vetoed a radical pro-abortion bill that sought to allow unborn babies to be aborted for basically any reason right up to birth, end parental consent for young girls seeking abortions, weaken the state’s anti-infanticide law, and allow non-doctors to abort unborn babies.

MEDIA MALPRACTICE: During the Sunday 11 am news hour, Fox featured the Naville press conference featuring the heroic police officers who evacuated people ahead of the Christmas bombing.
CNN featured five of their reporters bitching about how badly Trump has treated them.
NASHVILLE: The Nashville bomber has been identified as Anthony Quinn Warner. His DNA has been found at the site. A neighbor said, “If he did have any political beliefs he kept, that was something he kept to himself.”
Authorities say they don’t know what motivated him, but that his attempts to clear the area of people beforehand suggest his target may have been the AT&T building.
PORKULUS: On Sunday night, President Trump signed a $2.3 trillion federal spending and COVID relief bill, averting a government shutdown and ensuring millions of Americans continue to get unemployment benefits.
Despite his misgivings about wasteful spending and low stimulus payments in the bill, Trump said he signed the legislation because “I have an obligation to protect the people of our country“ from further economic devastation. He said, however, “more money is coming” as Congress votes this week on larger checks.

COVID-19: The Daily Mail reported, “Hospitals in Southern California are so overrun by COVID-19 cases that doctors are running low on supplies of oxygen, infected patients are forced to wait eight hours in ambulances before they can enter an emergency room, and intensive care units are fully booked with no more beds available.“

As a Catholic, I was and am thoroughly dismayed that Pope Francis signed on to it. I heard that, while he was working on his encyclical, so-called “skeptics/deniers” attempted to see him. He refused.

He also talks about how NONE of the courts have look at any of the evidence of listened to a single witness. They’re just tossing cases on bs procedural grounds.
So far as I can see, corrupt and/or frightened judges have decided that NOBODY has “standing” to object to this election! Not the candidate who was cheated. Not the voters who were cheated. Not the states whose majority in the Senate is at risk.
FAUCI: What a fraud! – Dr. Fauci has been gradually moving the goal post about how many Americans would need to be vaccinated before we achieve herd immunity. First, he said 60-70 percent. Then, he said 70-75 percent. Then, it went up to 75 to 80-plus percent. And most recently, he said it had to be “close to 90 percent.”
Dr. Fauci blithely explained that polling, rather than science, informed his public pronouncements. “When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent. Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, ‘I can nudge this up a bit,’ so I went to 80, 85. … We really don’t know what the real number is.”
FLEEING CALIFORNIA: The Daily Wire, the conservative media outlet founded by Ben Shapiro, Jeremy Boreing, and Caleb Robinson, announced plans to move its headquarters from Los Angeles to Nashville.
HOPE: The Catholic Catechism says that Hope is one of the Theological Virtues which “are infused by God into the souls of the faithful to make them capable of acting as his children and of meriting eternal life.”
I believe that God always answers prayer and that while He may say “No” or “Not yet” to prayers for worldly gifts, he always answers “Yes” when asked for an increase in any virtue. Of course, our cooperation in His graces will magnify their action in us, just like practicing and studying magnify the action of the teachers who share their knowledge with us.
ISRAEL: Researchers from Tel Aviv University have proven that it can be killed in half a minute using LED-UV lights emitting a specific range of wavelengths.
Also, an Israeli fabric maker has developed an anti-viral mask coated in zinc oxide nanoparticles that destroy bacteria, fungi and viruses. Testing has shown that the Wuhan coronavirus is neutralized within 30 minutes and that the masks retain their protective properties throughout 55 wash cycles.
Sadly, customer reviews are not over the top, with complaints about mask sizes running small with women needing the men’s size, which means my big-faced hubby couldn’t wear one at all. Also, some complaints about poorly made masks falling apart and metal nose strips poking through.

MICHIGAN: Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel (D) is pursuing legal sanctions against lawyers who questioned the outcome of the November election.
Nessel, who has defended Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson (D), said this week she is going to go after the attorneys who filed lawsuits alleging that some people voted illegally and that votes were also manipulated by Dominion Voting Systems.
MILITARY: Previously Navy Capt. Amy Bauernschmidt served as the Lincoln’s executive officer — another first for a woman — from 2016-2019. After leaving the Lincoln, Bauernschmidt served as the commanding officer of the amphibious transport dock USS San Diego, a command she left in October.
“I am incredibly honored and humbled to be selected,” Bauernschmidt said in a statement. “I love leading sailors and I take that responsibility extremely seriously.”

OPERATION LEGEND: Worth watching [7:43] – Operation Legend, launched in July of this year, deployed agents from various federal agencies to assist local law enforcement in fighting violent crime.
The effort was named for LeGend Taliferro, a four-year-old who was killed by gunfire while sleeping in his bed in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Department of Justice says Operation Legend has resulted in over 6,000 arrests, removing violent criminals, domestic abusers, carjackers and drug traffickers from nine cities which were experiencing stubbornly high crime and took illegal firearms, illegal narcotics and illicit monies off the streets.
Of those 6,000 arrested, 1,500 have been charged with federal offenses, and 500 were charged with homicide.
PORKULUS: I can’t STAND how far in debt we are, but they keep voting for more and more! IMO, if a person is in debt, then any extra money they have belongs to their creditors. Debtors should do their charity by volunteering time and/or giving away stuff they don’t need anymore. But until those debts are cleared, they’ve got no right to donate money to charities, because it isn’t THEIRS. So why are we doing it as a nation?!

BIDEN: Joe Biden, who had difficulty having anyone come to any of his events, is reportedly very upset that Twitter is wiping out all of Trump’s followers before turning over the @POTUS (33 million Trump followers) and @WhiteHouse (26 million Trump followers). Many Trump followers said it didn’t much matter, since they planned to unfollow anyway.
COVID-19: The CDC says that, as of Wednesday afternoon, 1,008,025 people in the U.S. have received a COVID-19 vaccination. More than 9.4 million doses have been shipped across the country.
The FDA investigating “about five” severe anaphylactic allergic reactions to the Pfizer vaccine. The reactions may have been triggered by polyethylene glycol (PEG), a compound in both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., CHD chairman and chief legal counsel, said: “As we told the FDA in September, studies show that one in seven Americans may unknowingly be at risk of experiencing an allergic reaction to PEG.”
“At the very least, everyone should be screened for anti-PEG antibodies before getting the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines,” Kennedy said. “It is unconscionable that instead, the FDA and CDC are encouraging people to go ahead and risk a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction and just assume that someone will be on hand to save them.”
