It has snowed every day since Sunday. It’s supposed to stop some time today and start again Thursday night and be non-stop until sometime Saturday. Mississippi House Approves Earliest Abortion Ban at 15 Weeks
On Friday, lawmakers in the state House passed HB 1510, by a vote of 79-31, with some Democrats joining in with Republicans to approve it.
According to the Associated Press, Rep. Becky Currie, the bill’s sponsor, said about the 15-week cut-off for abortion, “At that time, it’s time to decide whether you’re going to carry this child or not.”
House Judiciary B Committee Chairman Andy Gipson (R) said the bill is just as much about protecting women as babies.
“Women deserve real health care, not some fake health care that involves the destruction of human life and a woman’s health,” he said.

Obama ‘wants to know everything’ … when he’s not supposed to be asking about the Clinton email case and when he said he hadn’t been involved in it in any way.
Newly revealed text messages between FBI paramours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page include an exchange about preparing talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to give to President Obama, who wanted “to know everything we’re doing.”
In texts previously revealed, Strzok and Page have shown their disdain for Republicans in general, as well as Trump, calling him a “f—ing idiot,” among other insults.
Among the newly disclosed texts, Strzok also calls Virginians who voted against then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s wife for a state Senate seat “ignorant hillbillys.”

Taking back the House will be harder than Democrats think

Judge criticized by Trump may end up determining fate of border wall, report says
US District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, whom President Trump accused of being biased in handling the Trump University case during the 2016 election, will hear a case on Friday to decide whether the president’s proposed wall along the southern border can get waivers for environmental laws.
If Curiel rules against President Trump, the administration’s effort to secure the border between the US and Mexico could come to a halt.
Curiel, an Indiana native who was nominated to the federal bench by Barack Obama in 2011, was criticized by the president in 2016 for certifying class-action lawsuits that claimed Trump University was fraudulent.

Clay Jr. began paying family members from his campaign’s coffers almost immediately after entering Congress in 2001. Michelle Clay, his sister, has been the biggest beneficiary of the payments.
Michelle Clay is the owner of the Law Office of Michelle C. Clay LLC, a firm located just outside of Washington, D.C. The law office’s address appears to be a residential home in Silver Spring, Maryland. Little information is available online about the firm, which does not have a website.

VA shoots down feminist request to change its 60-year-old motto, a quote from Abraham Lincoln
The Department of Veteran Affairs shot down a request to make its motto gender-neutral, according to a Friday report.
The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America demanded the department changed what it called an outdated and sexist motto, reported Stars and Stripes. The VA’s nearly 60-year motto is “to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan,” an excerpt from former President Abraham Lincoln’s second inaugural address
The VA responded to the November request to change its motto by saying the current motto accurately reflects “the heart of our noble mission.” But the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America was none too pleased with the refusal.
“They’re missing the point that women don’t feel comfortable at the VA,” said Allison Jaslow, executive director of the group. “We want to be respected and appreciated as much as male veterans are, and the motto is symbolic of overall challenges.”
