ARIZONA: On Thursday, Gov. Doug Ducey added Arizona to the list of states who have opted to end the extra $300 per week in unemployment payments that appear to be an incentive to stay unemployed.

The other states are Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee and Wyoming.

BORDER: [3:55] – As the Army Corps of Engineers restarts construction of the border wall in the Rio Grande Valley, officials in Texas may go one step further to build their own wall for the state.

CATHOLIC: The Vatican has been publicly pushing for all mafia members to be excommunicated while simultaneously blocking an effort by many U.S. bishops to refuse Holy Communion to abortion-pushing politicians like Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.

Pope Francis has also ignored the ardent pleas of Cardinals, priests, and bishops to stop the schism in Germany where hundreds of so-called Catholic priests are publicly blessing homosexual unions.

CRITICAL RACE THEORY: Critical race theory holds that America was founded specifically to promote slavery and that we need to fight racism by eliminating racist attitudes like colorblindness and equal treatment under the law.

On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said the FAUXTUS administration thinks that teaching future leaders of our country that critical race theory is true is not “indoctrination. That’s actually responsible.”

EQUITY: California is busy, busy, busy making its entire education system more woke and less educational. In the lower grades, they’re making math “less racist” by eliminating accelerated classes for high performing students. At the college level, they’re making admission standards “less racist” by eliminating the use of ACT and SAT scores.

FAUCI: [5:21] – Democrats don’t want to look into the likelihood that COVID-19 originated from a Wuhan lab leak.

FAUX-CONOMICS: [:29] – White House economic adviser Cecilia Rouse blames the bad April jobs report in part on Easter being in March this year. Easter was on April 4.

Tweet: “The fact that the Biden Administration has no idea when Easter was, is one of the least surprising things ever.”

FAUXTUS: On May 5, Slow Joe answered questions from the press about the $2.3 Trillion spending plan. He claimed the last five Federal Reserve chairmen had come out and said, “Biden’s plan is going to grow the economy.“

Two of the five are dead. Another two have been relatively silent, but have certainly NOT claimed the plan would “grow the economy.” The fifth one, Janet Yellen, has promoted the plan, but that’s probably because she is FAUXTUS’ Treasury Secretary.

HARVARD HOGG: As soon as the CDC announced that fully vaccinated individuals could stop wearing masks, David Hogg tweeted, “I feel the need to continue wearing my mask outside even though I’m fully vaccinated because the inconvenience of having to wear a mask is more than worth it to have people not think I’m a conservative.”

My favorite tweet response: “Because I’d rather be thought of as a virtue signaling sheep, than someone who is capable of independent thought.”

JACKBOOT: Michigan’s Gov. Gretch is working hard to nail down the Worst Governor Ever title. Now she’s trying to shut down an oil pipeline. The Canadian firm asserts that the federal government has the final jurisdiction in this matter.

EQUAL RIGHTS: They’re supposed to be guaranteed to us “under the law”, but in today’s world, politicians pick and choose which laws they care to enforce.

On Friday, six illegal aliens were welcomed to the FAUX White House where they were described as “undocumented Americans.”

Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a warning that faking a vaccine passport is a crime that may be punished by hefty fines and prison time.

MARICOPA: [2:26] – The Arizona audit has reached a critical point in the hand recount as auditors take on the task of duplicate ballots.

NEW YUCK CITY: While the BLM riots were underway last summer, the NYC City Council passed a resolution that slashed the department’s $6 billion budget by $1 billion. Only about $382 million actually got cut, but between that, people going crazy from COVID restrictions, and the city releasing violent criminals from prison, the Rotten Apple has seen a wave of crime like the bad old days of the early 1990s. So plans are afoot to spend $105 million to build a new police precinct.

PELOSI: San Fran Nan is delighted with the May 7 letter from the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) to the president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

The letter smeared U.S. bishops’ calls to deny Holy Communion to politicians like Pelosi and Biden who publicly promote abortion as “a source of discord rather than unity within the episcopate and the larger church in the United States.” The letter also used the sanitized “pro-choice” euphemism for abortion support.

Speaker Pelosi cited the letter as she stated that she can make up her own mind on the matter. However, the prohibition on giving Communion to those who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin has been a part of Church discipline for centuries. All ministers of the Eucharist have a moral obligation to follow this discipline, and no bishop (or pope) has the power to prevent it.

SUSPICIOUS TIMING: Faced with skyrocketing inflation, a catastrophic jobs report, and gas shortages, the FAUXTUS administration is suddenly taking a virus victory lap.

On Thursday, the CDC announced that, because of the “continuing downward trajectory of cases,” fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks while indoors.

VAX: [:51] – Ohio is trying to lure folks into taking the untested gene therapy mislabeled as a “vaccine” by offering vaccinated Ohioan lottery tickets. Five vaccinated residents will win $1 million each.

IMO, it would be cheaper and more effective to encourage the widespread use of ivermectin, save lives, and let herd immunity happen naturally.

“This is the same district that banned Dr. Seuss and ‘Huckleberry Finn’ as being ‘offensive,’ yet they’re having children read pornography that violates every code of conduct in their sexual harassment training,” said one parent who did not want to be named.

LCPS’ response was to publish a notice on its web site reminding parents that if they feel a book is not appropriate for their student, they may request an alternate text be assigned. Riiiight … like they’re really providing copies of all the books to the parents to pre-read, instructing kids to NOT share the smutty stuff with their more sheltered friends, and somehow squashing the natural desire to read what has been forbidden.

I looked up Loudoun County Public School’s English Curriculum Guide for 9th grade. To their credit, the required reading list includes Medea, Of Mice and Men, Odyssey, Romeo and Juliet, To Kill A Mockingbird, and Twelve Angry Men. I’m familiar with some of the titles on the suggested reading list and read them myself in high school.

However, I noticed that the books the parents read from were not on either list, though they do appear to be best sellers and teachers choice books at Amazon. One wonders how parents are supposed to pre-read and have time to object to books that aren’t even listed.

Most of the excerpts were from Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany Jackson, described at Amazon as “a gripping novel about the mystery of one teenage girl’s disappearance and the traumatic effects of the truth.”

One was from #MurderTrending by Gretchen McNeil, described at Amazon with “WELCOME TO THE NEAR FUTURE, where good and honest citizens can enjoy watching the executions of society’s most infamous convicted felons, streaming live on The Postman app from the suburbanized prison island Alcatraz 2.0.”

Neither book is listed on Goodreads’ “Teen Smut” list … which makes me shudder to think how bad the ones listed must be. Ick.

The LCPS’s non-apology to the outraged parents notes that there are several books available for each segment of the “Reading Strand.” One wonders why they feel any need to assign the salacious stuff. Are the teachers getting off on it? Or is it just easier for them to get kids to read the smutty books than the non-smutty books?

With a median household income of $136,268, Loudoun County is the wealthiest county in the country among jurisdictions with a population of 65,000 or more. The public school system employs nearly 12,000 people. The county is home to Dulles International Airport, one of the three major airports in the larger Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area. Dulles handles 90% of the international passenger traffic in the Baltimore–Washington region.

The “bad for the environment” excuse given was as faux as the number of votes allegedly cast for Joe Biden. under the excuse that such a method of transporting oil and fuel came with a whole host of problems for the environment.

FAUXTUS’ Climate Envoy John Kerry now tells us that, well, yes, pipelines are better. Which begs the question … WHY did they really shut down the Keystone XL pipeline?

LGBTQ: Kelloggs has released a new woke cereal so kids can get a big dose of leftist propaganda in the morning. On the side of the box, kids are asked which genders they prefer to use.

Kellogg’s has not created a page for this cereal, so I looked at Froot Loops, the one it most closely resembles. A 39 gram serving (1-1/3 cup) contains 12 grams of sugar, 210 mg of salt, and four different food dyes.

After spaying or neutering, the cats who qualify are placed with property and business owners who also qualify. Once placed, the business becomes responsible for providing food, water, shelter, and healthcare. The cats’ presence alone is usually enough to deter rodents, while any that do try to move in will be hunted and caught. Cats work better than other common methods such as poison, gassing, or traps, the Humane Society reports, providing a “reliable, permanent solution and a win-win situation for both humans and cats.” It’s a win-win solution for Chicago, which has rated #1 Rattiest City six years running.

GAS CRISIS: After nearly seventeen minutes of obsessing about Liz Cheney, Meghan McCain tried to change the subject to something average Americans actually care about: the gas crisis. “Today a gallon of gas, average price is $3.01. Last year it was $1.85. … We have a gas shortage in America. It’s like the ‘70s and the Carter administration again.” Goldberg and Behar instantly jumped on Biden talking points … it’s a private company that suffered a cyber attack … then cut to a commercial.

JENNER: She is running for Governor of California and she seems to totally have the whole lying thing down. She told CNN she didn’t vote in the 2020 November election. The record shows she did.

LOCKDOWN: In 2020, COVID-19 lockdowns shaved 3.5% off U.S. GDP even as the federal government spent more than $2.6 trillion in relief measures. Millions of children fell behind in learning and nearly 100,000 businesses closed for good.

Conventional wisdom holds this was worth it because lives were saved by shutting workplaces and schools and telling people to stay home. But “The Backward Art of Slowing the Spread” – a new study by University of Chicago economist Casey Mulligan – shows that organizations that adopted prevention protocols became safer places than the wider community.

“The available data from schools, hospitals, nursing homes, food processing plants, hair stylists, and airlines show employers adopting mitigation protocols in the spring of 2020. Coincident with the adoption, infection rates in workplaces typically dropped from well above household rates to well below.”

MEDIA MALPRACTICE: News coverage of Slow Joe’s early days = 65% of the stories centered around his ideology and policy agenda; 35% around his character and leadership.

News coverage of Trump’s early days = 26% of the stories centered around his ideology and policy agenda; 74% around his character and leadership.

Another significant difference in their coverage is that while the negative Biden stories modestly outnumbered the positive ones, negative stories about Trump exceeded positive ones by four-to-one.

ST. LOUIS: St. Louis is already one of the most dangerous cities in America with 194 murders last year. That didn’t stop Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) from celebrating the city’s idiotic decision to cut the police budget by $4 million.

Toxicologist tells CDC “Stop the vaccine”

On April 23, 2021, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices held a meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. During the time set aside for public comment, molecular biologist and toxicologist Dr. Janci Chunn Lindsay, Ph.D., called for an immediately halt to the production and distribution of all COVID-19 vaccines. Her reasons include fertility, blood-clotting concerns (coagulopathy), and immune escape.

Her 3-minute comment is currently (5/14 5:46 am) posted at YouTube. It’s not likely to stay there, but to be honest, it’s hard to understand, because she was talking very fast, trying to get it all in during her allotted 3 minutes. She ran out of time before she got to her final point, but the author of the blog (URL below) got it from her in writing. I have added some bolding and graphics to make it easier to scan.

TRANSCRIPT:

Hi, my name is Dr. Janci Chunn Lindsay. I hold a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Texas, and have over 30 years of scientific experience, primarily in toxicology and mechanistic biology.

In the mid-1990s, I aided the development of a temporary human contraceptive vaccine which ended up causing unintended autoimmune ovarian destruction and sterility in animal test models. Despite efforts against this and sequence analyses that did not predict this.

I strongly feel that all the gene therapy vaccines must be halted immediately due to safety concerns on several fronts. Covid vaccines could induce cross-reactive antibodies to syncytin, and impair fertility as well as pregnancy outcomes.

First, there is a credible reason to believe that the Covid vaccines will cross-react with the syncytin and reproductive proteins in sperm, ova, and placenta, leading to impaired fertility and impaired reproductive and gestational outcomes.

Respected virologist Dr. Bill Gallaher, Ph.D., made excellent arguments as to why you would expect cross reaction, due to beta sheet conformation similarities between spike proteins and syncytin-1 and syncytin-2.

I have yet to see a single immunological study which disproves this. Despite the fact that it would literally take the manufacturers a single day to do these syncytin studies to ascertain this [once they had serum from vaccinated individuals]. It’s been over a year since the assertions were first made that this [the body attacking its own syncytin proteins due to similarity in spike protein structure] could occur.

We have seen 100 pregnancy losses reported in VAERS as of April 9th. And there have [also] been reports of impaired spermatogenesis and placental findings from both the natural infection, vaccinated, and syncytin knockout animal models that have similar placental pathology, implicating a syncytin-mediated role in these outcomes.

Additionally, we have heard of multiple reports of menses irregularities in those vaccinated. These must be investigated.

We simply cannot put these [vaccines] in our children who are at .002% risk for Covid mortality, if infected, or any more of the child-bearing age population without thoroughly investigating this matter.

[If we do], we could potentially sterilize an entire generation. Speculation that this will not occur and a few anecdotal reports of pregnancies within the trial are not sufficient proof that this is not impacting on a population-wide scale.

Secondly, all of the gene therapies [Covid vaccines] are causing coagulopathy. [Coagulopathy when the body’s blood clotting system is impaired.] This is not isolated to one manufacturer. And this is not isolated to one age group.

As we are seeing coagulopathy deaths in healthy young adults with no secondary comorbidities. There have been 795 reports related to blood clotting disorders as of April 9th in the VAERS reporting system, 338 of these being due to thrombocytopenia.

There are forward and backward mechanistic principles for why this is happening. The natural infection is known to cause coagulopathy due to the spike protein. All gene therapy vaccines direct the body to make the spike protein. Zhang et al in [a scientific paper published in the Journal of Hematology & Oncology] in September 2020 showed that if you infuse spike protein into mice that have humanized ACE-2 receptors on blood platelets that you also get disseminated thrombosis.

Spike protein incubated with human blood in vitro also caused blood clot development which was resistant to fibrinolysis. [Fibrinolysis is the body’s process of breaking down blood clots]. The spike protein is causing thrombocytic events, which cannot be resolved through natural means. And all vaccines must be halted in the hope that they can be reformulated to guard against this adverse effect.

Third, there is strong evidence for immune escape, and that inoculation under pandemic pressure with these leaky vaccines is driving the creation of more lethal mutants that are both newly infecting a younger age demographic, and causing more Covid-related deaths across the population than would have occurred without intervention. That is, there is evidence that the vaccines are making the pandemic worse.

It is clear that we are seeing a temporal immune depression immediately following the inoculations and there are immunosuppressive regions on spike proteins, as well as Syn-2, that could be likely causing this, through a T-cell mediated mechanism. If we do not stop this vaccine campaign until these issues can be investigated, we may see a phenomenon such as we see in chickens with Marek’s disease.

We have enough evidence now to see a clear correlation with increased Covid deaths and the vaccine campaigns. This is not a coincidence. It is an unfortunate unintended effect of the vaccines. We simply must not turn a blind eye and pretend this is not occurring. We must halt all Covid vaccine administration immediately, before we create a true pandemic that we cannot reign in.

Dr. Stephanie Seneff, Ph.D., a senior research scientist at MIT and expert in protein synthesis, believes that Dr. Lindsay’s hypothesis is correct.

“I absolutely share these concerns. The potential for blood clotting disorders and the potential for sterilization are only part of the story. There are other potential long-term effects of these vaccines as well, such as autoimmune disease and immune escape, whereby the vaccines administered to immune-compromised people accelerate the mutation rate of the virus so as to render both naturally acquired and vaccine-induced antibodies no longer effective.”

Like Dr. Lindsay, Dr. Seneff believes we need to immediately halt Covid vaccine campaigns.

BACK THE BLUE: On Tuesday, a man armed with a pistol opened fire on students at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte during the last day of classes. Two people were killed and four injured, three seriously. Law enforcement officers disarmed the shooter who is now in custody.

BORDER: A Texas farmer found five migrant girls, ranging in age from 11 months to 7 years, abandoned on his ranch. One was so dehydrated, he thought she was dead.

The girls had no food or water, and temperatures were rising, but when he called Border Patrol, he had trouble getting through, probably because they are overwhelmed by the huge numbers swarming the border since FAUXTUS reversed every border control Trump created.

The farmer, who is in his 70s, said he has lived in the area his entire life and has never seen such an influx before. “We need to go back – at least Trump administration had it under control here.” he said.

CALIFORNIA: The teachers union in San Francisco announced that high school seniors will return to classrooms on Friday. But they’ll only be there for one to three days and it’s not because the stinkin’ union cares about ensuring students receive in-person teaching. It’s so that the public schools can qualify for $12 million in state reopening funds.

PRAY: Children playing in the street claim they saw an image of Our Lady of Fatima appear on top of the church in the municipality of Cristina (Minas Gerais, Brazil).

One girl claims Our Lady spoke to her. “She kept telling us to pray, all the time. Her voice was low and she spoke like this: ‘pray, pray.’ She spoke very softly in our ear,” the girl said.

The parish priest says the images shared on social networks are under investigation. “When we talk about an apparition, it is a very delicate thing. It is studied and analyzed.”

VAX: Two young mothers have become paralyzed after receiving COVID-19 vaccine shots. Brandy McFadden of Nashville got her second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine on April 16. By the following afternoon, McFadden said she couldn’t walk and had excruciating neck pain. Now, she has regained movement in her arms and can wiggle her toes. Doctors have no idea what’s wrong with her.

Rachel Cecere of Pittsburgh woke up paralyzed from the neck down 12 hours after her first dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. The doctors also can find no cause for her condition. Nearly three weeks after being hospitalized, she still had no feeling in either leg and could only move the left one. While she had regained strength in her upper body, she still felt weakness in her left hand and was unable to lift her daughter.

The government and the vaccine companies have full immunity. So if you get this vaccine and you have an adverse reaction, you’re on your own. You probably are going to lose your job and all your bills will be your responsibility. Pfizer’s official PR response to reports of adverse reactions states that “serious adverse events that are unrelated to the vaccine are unfortunately likely to occur at a similar rate as they would in the general population.”

Right. Cuz perfectly healthy women are all the time waking up paralyzed for no reason whatsoever. /sarc

EUTHANASIA: In 2002, Belgium passed a euthanasia law that supposedly only applied to patients in a “medically futile condition of constant and unbearable physical or mental suffering that cannot be alleviated, resulting from a serious and incurable disorder caused by illness or accident.”

In 2014, the law was expanded to allow doctors to end the lives of children of any age. By 2017, almost 20% of deaths by euthanasia in Belgium were carried out on patients displaying symptoms common with aging. Not surprisingly, Belgium has universal – aka, government-run, one-size-fits-some, tax-funded – health care. Severely disabled kids are expensive. So are old people who obviously aren’t going to ever recover from being old.

Since Belgium chose to go down this evil road to Hell, they’ve recorded a 100-fold increase in the number of Belgians who get legally offed by doctors and hospitals.

In 2016 and 2017, three children younger than 18 were put to death – a 17-year-old suffering from muscular dystrophy, a 9-year-old who had a brain tumor, and an 11-year-old with cystic fibrosis. In 2012, a woman who was physically healthy was euthanized on the order of an oncologist.

I’ve always believed that, five minutes after the “right to choose to die” gets passed, it becomes the “duty” of the disabled or depressed or aged person to stop being a nuisance to the living. I think the following illustrates this mentality perfectly. In The Netherlands, they also have universal health care and legal euthanasia. I read once where a Dutch doctor said he wouldn’t ever want to be seriously ill in a Dutch hospital, because they pull the plug so readily. And I have a Dutch friend with a very manageable disability who told me she had been having a bad day and made the mistake of letting her housekeeper know she was struggling. This woman told her, “Why don’t you just die and get it over with?”

IDAHO: On Monday, Governor Brad Little signed a law to prohibit taxpayer funding to any group that aborts unborn babies, helps women get abortions or counsels women for abortions. It also would ban abortion-related activities in health clinics in public schools. Exceptions would be allowed for hospital funding and abortions when the mother’s life is at risk.

LIVES FOR LIES: The Left has done all it can to suppress and/or demonize the fact that ivermectin is a safe, inexpensive, and effective treatment for COVID-19. The latest horror story comes from Elmhurst, Illinois, where a hospital flatly refused a family’s request that their loved one receive the drug. The family took it to court and won, but the hospital actually still refused to administer the drug! Finally, an outside doctor was allowed to come in and do it. The family attorney told FOX 32 that, after just one dose of ivermectin, the patient is already showing signs of improvement.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY: On Monday, FAUXTUS’ Department of Health and Human Services announced it will be enforcing Section 1557 and Title IX’s prohibitions on discrimination based on gender identity.

CatholicVote President Brian Burch said the move is a prelude to strong-arming doctors and hospitals into administering puberty blocking drugs and performing sex-change surgeries, regardless of their best medical judgment, against their consciences, and in violation of their religious beliefs.

Burch called it “yet another attack on faith-based private health care.”

TRANS: Rev. Megan Rohrer was the first transgender person to be ordained, the first to serve as a pastor, and now the first to be elected to serve as a bishop. Not surprisingly, this has all happened within the Sierra Pacific Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) – i.e., San Francisco/Berkley area.

TWITTER: It’s easy to see who the Oligarchy stands with … and who they stand against. The last incident happened on April 26 and marked the first time in nearly four years. … Four years? Hmmm.

JACKBOOTS: The University of Massachusetts at Amherst has slapped a one semester suspension on three freshman females who appeared on social media without face masks while outdoors and off-campus on a Saturday. All three are honors students.

The girls, who received no first offense warning and were barred from taking final exams, rendering their entire $16,000 semester completely invalid.

And if they’re stupid enough to want to return to Umass-Amherst … I’m sorry, but why would they?! … they’ll have to reapply after their suspension expires.

I’m thinking they need to apply to a new school right now … say one in a sensible state like Florida. I hope they find one that lets them test out of the classes they took, but were not allowed to complete.

PELOSI: If a Republican had done this, they’d be shrieking RAAACISM on the morning news. But, since it was Fancy Nancy, it was just an honest mistake that could happen to anyone.

UNEMPLOYMENT: As the economy reopens, businesses are finding it difficult to find people to fill available positions. One reason appears to be overly generous COVID-19 unemployment benefits. Republican governors in Arkansas, Montana, and South Carolina are ending the gravy train. Florida is expected to follow.

VAX: Gov. Phil Murphy, D-NJ, is considering a plan where New Jersey would pay people to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Recently, Maryland launched a program to pay state employees $100 to become fully vaccinated. West Virginia is offering $100 savings bonds to 16- to 35-year-olds who get vaccinated.

WASHINGTON: Gov. Jay Inslee has signed a new law requiring K-12 educators to be trained in critical race theory.

CHINA: China is the world’s largest producer of greenhouse gas emissions. At 27% of the world’s total, China surpasses the combined output the U.S. (#2 at 11%), India (#3 at 6.6%), plus all 27 European Union member states.

COVID-19: The American Journal of Therapeutics has published a research paper calling for ivermectin to be “globally & systematically deployed” as a treatment for COVID-19. The Globalist Left has maligned ivermectin and suppressed information about its effectiveness, because they don’t want us to be free.

DNA: In 1995, school teacher Mary Catherine Edwards was sexually assaulted and then drowned in her own bathtub. Police collected DNA from the scene, but no suspects. However, in early 2020, police entered the crime scene DNA profile into GEDmatch, a web service and public DNA database.

They found more than 30 corresponding DNA files that allowed them to narrow the suspect pool down to two brothers. One had no criminal record. The other, Clay Foreman had a sexual assault on his record that bore similarities to Edwards’ murder.

Police collected some of Foreman’s trash and confirmed his DNA was a match. He is awaiting trial.

EDUCATION: Catholic school students scored significantly better in both math and reading than did public school students. It didn’t matter where the schools were located.

To get these superior results, Catholic schools somehow manage to spend less per pupil than do public schools. And the parents who send their children to Catholic schools get stuck paying twice, since they get no public school tax relief to help compensate them for their tuition payments.

ELECTRIC CARS: [16:19] – A recent survey of Californians who had purchased an electric vehicle between 2012-2018 found that about 20% switched back to a gas-powered car. Most indicated that charging the batteries was too much of a nuisance.

FAUXTUS ECONOMY: The April jobs report showed how quickly a new administration can change the economy. Economists expected we’d add one million jobs last month and bring the unemployment rate down to 5.8%. Instead, we added only 266,000 jobs and the unemployment rate went up to 6.1%.

FLORIDA: On Wednesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a round of one-time $1,000 bonuses for first responders—including firefighters and law enforcement officers. “We’re funding the police and then some.”

JAPAN: [1:29] – The coastal town of Noto in western Ishikawa Prefecture was awarded 800 million yen ($7.3 million) by the central government as part of an aid program aimed at boosting local economies damaged by the pandemic.

The town used 25 million yen ($229,000) of the aid to cover part of the cost of installing the 13 feet high and 29.5 feet long giant squid. The point was to raise awareness about the town’s fishing industry and increase tourism. Squid is a local delicacy in Noto.

I can’t help wondering how many toddlers are going to crawl inside that thing and refuse (or be unable) to come out again.

Activists are not happy. And as someone who believes their true leader is Satan, I am not surprised in the least that they have no compassion for the victims of their evil policies.

VAX: Watch this [4:55] – A doctor explains how mRNA “vaccines” (aka, “untested gene therapies”) work, says he has many patients who regrets getting them, and explains how important the early treatments are in reducing the death rate.

GRAMMY NOTES: For me, the main thing about the 18th birthday was that it marked when I was no longer legally responsible for them, so no longer had any right to offer unsolicited advice. It also marked when I began to transition my half of our relationships from parent/child to adult friends. Actually getting to the latter took years of patient waiting, holding my tongue, and prayer. But I’m there now with all three and I couldn’t be happier!!

As they were growing, I also used 18 a lot as a start for counting down to where they were, as in, this is how many years I have left to get them ready to be old enough to vote, sign a contract, go so far into debt that they end up declaring bankruptcy, and enlist in the military to go get shot at in places they never heard of before. I made lists of life skills a legal adult needs to have, then worked on teaching them those skills before they were on their own.

I remember one of them going through a really bad patch with high school academics, particularly math. Her teacher (inappropriately!) cornered her sister to ask her why her parents didn’t “care” that she was failing. I explained to all of them that we were more than happy to help with homework if asked and would even be willing to micromanage after school and week-end time IF ASKED. But we were not going to force a teen who was just a hop, skip and a jump from adulthood to do what needed doing.

We believed it was better to let her try and fail, when the consequence of failure was summer school, than to let her continue being immature into adulthood when the prices of failure were things like bankruptcy, homelessness, and hunger for herself and maybe one or more children.

We occasionally got crap from people like said Math teacher for our parenting style, which my husband called The Sieve Method. Basically, our job was to sieve reality for them. When they’re newborns, we had to be like our water filter that doesn’t even work unless the water goes through it under pressure. As they got older, we reduced the sieve to coffee filter, strainer, colander, etc. until by 18 they would be ready to stand under the waterfall of reality without drowning.

It seems like maybe we got a whole lot right, because we couldn’t be prouder of our grown kids. And when we see and hear them parenting the way we did, it’s just … ::sniff:: … LOVE!
