They’ll Never Get It

My boycott of network television has been ongoing for many years. It still is. But I took the news of the reboot of ‘Roseanne’ with interest. It was a complete smash with more than 18 million viewers and easily beat the Stormy Daniels porn-a-thon. It came as a shock to many Hollywood types, but then so did Hillary getting crushed by Donald Trump. Somewhere deep in the bowels of some studio in La La Land some big shots may yet get a clue that audiences are sick and tired of the constant conservative bashing in the media today.
Roseanne has been an outspoken supporter of the president, feelings that I doubt very much are shared by anybody else on the show. All I can think of is John Goodman, her TV husband, mocking Linda Tripp on SNL.

According to The New York Times, Trump called the 65-year-old star and former presidential candidate (remember this?) on Wednesday to thank her for breaking ranks with her Hollywood peers and openly supporting him, which she’s done personally and her character will now be doing weekly on her show. A man who fully understands the significance of ratings, Trump congratulated her for its 18.2 million viewers. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed the call to the press Wednesday.

Senate clears two more judicial nominees, 27 total judges confirmed
Karen Gren Scholer was confirmed to the Northern District of Texas Monday by a vote of 95-0. The Senate also voted 85-11 to confirm Tilman Eugene Self III to the Middle District of Georgia.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer faced a stern rebuke from congressional colleagues for citing skin color in voting against a white federal judge nominee earlier this week.

San Diego State University offering course called ‘Trump: Impeachment, Removal, or Conviction?’
A description of the course says the focus will be on the two constitutional grounds for removing a president from office: “Impeachment and removal (25th Amendment),” KUSI News reported.
It will include lessons on possible charges of the independent counsel and the powers of the president. Students in the class will also learn about “presidential immunity from indictment, and grounds for impeachment, removal, or indictment.”

Texans break early voting record after more Dems get involved

Early voting in Texas’ largest 15 counties has hit an all-time high for a non-presidential election year ahead of congressional primaries in the state on Tuesday.
According to data posted on Saturday by the Texas secretary of state’s office, 885,574 Texans voted in the 11 days of early voting that ended Friday, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
That figure far surpasses the 592,153 Texans who voted early in 2014.
Early voting among Democrats surged this year, the Statesman reported. 465,245 Democrats cast their ballots early, compared to 420,329 Republicans. That represents a significant change from 2014, when only 226,730 Democrats voted early, compared to 65,423 Republicans.

The Daily Time Waster

It has snowed every day since Sunday. It’s supposed to stop some time today and start again Thursday night and be non-stop until sometime Saturday. We’ve only gotten about 7″ so far, but may be looking at more than a foot before it’s done. I made a living driving a truck along rural roads for decades, but now that I’m retired I get somewhat stressed out by adverse weather conditions.

Mississippi House Approves Earliest Abortion Ban at 15 Weeks

On Friday, lawmakers in the state House passed HB 1510, by a vote of 79-31, with some Democrats joining in with Republicans to approve it.

According to the Associated Press, Rep. Becky Currie, the bill’s sponsor, said about the 15-week cut-off for abortion, “At that time, it’s time to decide whether you’re going to carry this child or not.”

House Judiciary B Committee Chairman Andy Gipson (R) said the bill is just as much about protecting women as babies.

“Women deserve real health care, not some fake health care that involves the destruction of human life and a woman’s health,” he said.

All of that is a good thing for any party. Except when it leads to large, messy primaries.
In suburban Virginia, for instance, Democrats worked hard to recruit state Sen. Jennifer T. Wexton (Loudoun), a former prosecutor with deep roots in the district, to take on Rep. Barbara Comstock, one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country.

Unless you just returned from a trip to the Himalayas, you know that the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super bowl LII last night. It was the first Super Bowl ever for the Eagles. The city known as “The City of Brotherly Love” once threw snowballs at Santa Claus. After they won the National Conference title two weeks ago the city covered the lamp posts with Crisco, hoping to keep the revelers from climbing them. Didn’t work, so they tried hydraulic oil this weekend. It didn’t make any difference.
There’s such a thing as pride in your favorite sports team. Using it as an excuse to burn and smash just because you want to is another.

Eagles fans are rioting around the city amid reports left-wing group Antifa has infiltrated celebrations and an explosion has been heard. The scenes follow the team securing a historic victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 2018.

SOTU: The Prequel

President Trump will give his first State of the Union speech tonight. It should be far more interesting than Barky’s last one, even just for the agita the progtards will be suffering.

I never watched Obama spew his platitudes and outright lies, mostly because his voice was offensive to me. I may watch part of the speech tonight, but chances are I’ll just recap tomorrow.

Basically it’s a chance for him to tout his successful leadership in growing the economy, stemming the flood of illegal, and promoting America to the world instead of apologizing for her greatness.

The Democrats plan to have at least six — count ’em, six — rebuttals after his speech. The official response will be by some Kennedy (yes,one of THOSE). The most interesting will be by Gasoline Maxine, whose rebuttal will be repeating “Impeach 45! Impeach 45!” over and over until she has a seizure and passes out.

State of the Union To Emphasize Economy, Military Strength

It will focus on five broad topics: the economy, a $1-trillion-plus plan to rebuild infrastructure, Mr. Trump’s new immigration proposal that includes a pathway to citizenship 1.8 million young illegal immigrants, trade policy and a plan to rebuild the military.

“To Congress, the tone will be one of bipartisanship and very forward-looking,” a senior administration official said. “The economic upswing is helping everybody — all groups are benefiting.”

MISS ISABEL JUST TURNED 14 AND IS IN 8TH GRADE AT THE CATHOLIC SCHOOL SHE AND HER SISTER HAVE BEEN ATTENDING THEIR WHOLE LIVES. NEXT YEAR SHE HAS TO GO TO DeKALB HIGH SCHOOL, A HOTBED OF DRUGS, VIOLENCE, AND TEEN PREGNANCY. MY BIGGEST FEAR, ESPECIALLY SINCE SHE IS WELL DEVELOPED FOR HER AGE, IS THAT A BUNCH OF LITTLE SAVAGES WILL TRY TO CHALK HER UP AS ONE OF THEIR ‘BABY MAMA’ CONQUESTS. Teachers in certain school districts will also not evaluate students with traditional testing methods but will rely more heavily upon presentations, projects and activities that students complete outside of the classroom. The students in the program will not receive GPA rankings.

Patrick Hardy, the principal for Illinois’ Proviso East district, said the program isn’t a perfect solution to fix the poor results Illinois’ school districts have regularly produced, but that there’s nothing to lose by trying something new. “We had a school on the brink of failure,” he said.

Trump Admin Freezes Tens of Millions in Aid From UN Agency for Palestinians

The Trump administration is withholding more than half of an aid package to a United Nations agency that helps Palestinian refugees.  The U.S. will still give $60 million to the U.N. Relief and Works Agency but is cutting $65 million from a planned $125 million contribution.

Illinois population trend could lead to one fewer congressional seat for state

ILLINOIS IS AMONG THE HIGH TAX STATES THAT ARE BLEEDING POPULATION. IT MAY LOSE 2 SEATS AFTER THE NEXT CENSUS.

In U.S. Census Bureau estimates released last month, Illinois’ population decreased by 22,000 people from 2014 to 2015. Because of the estimated drop, Election Data Services, a Virginia-based political consulting firm, projects Illinois will lose a representative in the U.S. House of Representatives.

During the 2017 Women’s March on Washington and follow up Women’s Strike, anti-Israel activists attempted to hijack the movement.

Anti-Israel activist Linda Sarsour attempted to steer the movement against Israel, and the Women’s Strike was co-organized by and honored convicted supermarket bomber murderer (and immigration fraudster) Rasmea Odeh.

Ahed Tamimi is the Palestinian teenager, who turns 17 this month, who has been exploited by her parents and supporters in groups like JVP and Code Pink, for propaganda purposes since early childhood. Ahed has been thrust into the spotlight by her parents because they understand, as her father Bassem recently stated, that her blond hair and light skin color makes her appealing to Western audiences.

As we have covered many times, it is nothing short of child exploitation and abuse to encourage children to engage in such dangerous behavior of deliberately trying to provoke the police and soldiers so that cameras can capture the interaction. If the Israeli policeman or soldier reacts, it’s used as a propaganda tool to claim Israeli cruelty to children; if the Israeli policeman or soldier doesn’t react (which is what almost always happens), it is used as a propaganda tool to claim Israelis are weak and scared….

When They’re Out of Power They’re Just Funny

Being a Democrat means you don’t need a conscience or a moral compass. You cater to the ignorant, the lazy, and the morally reprehensible. You blatantly lie to them. Most of them know it and they don’t care. They are motivated by greed,ignorance, and hate. You stand for nothing except enriching yourself at the expense of the the law-abiding people of this country who work and pay the taxes you buy votes with.

When they’re in power, like the dark days of the Obama reign of terror, they specialize in spreading misery to all quarters. Times like these, when they’re relegated to comic relief, they can display a particular pathos born of desperation to be relevant. They will return to the throne one day, but until then they’re just fun to watch.

The collective IQ at the SOTU just skyrocketed

As for Frederica Wilson, the gobs of attention she got for exploiting the wife of a fallen soldier has faded away – an easily forgotten embarrassing memory.

So naturally she thinks her next ticket to cable news is announcing she too will skip Trump’s SOTU address.

Black unemployment is at an all-time low – falling to below 7% for the first time ever.  And the primary beneficiaries of President Trump stemming the flow of unskilled illegal aliens into the country are black Americans.  Now you would think that Frederica, John and Maxine would be more focused on the constituents in their districts than flooding the country will unskilled, cheap labor.  But for the Democrat Party, all that matters are illegal aliens.

American blacks need to understand that they have been cast aside.  Parasites suck the life out of a host then move on.  And the Democrat parasites in Congress have drained all advantage out of the black vote. Now they’ve moved on to illegals.

Since they have nothing to show for their endless years in Congress, all they have left is showboating and demagoguery.  So they put on petty displays for attention and hurl slanderous attacks at the President — all to mask their years and years of inaction.

The battle to shut down Obama’s presidential center

What initially started out as a library has morphed into a 20-acre private “center,” and some environmentalists and historians are unhappy with the Obama Foundation’s plans to swoop in and take over a national historic place.

The Obama Foundation originally said it would house a presidential library on the property and vowed to have the National Archives oversee the facility because of its placement on public land. But that’s no longer the case, and some are balking at the change in plans.

US Military Members Receive Biggest Pay Bump Since 2010

Military members will see their paychecks rise by the largest percent increase since 2010 this week.

At the end of December, President Donald Trump, by way of executive order, mandated a 2.4% pay hike for uniformed service members and a 1.9% raise for federal workers. The Trump administration’s initial budget blueprint called for a 2.1% pay increase, while the House and Senate suggested the 2.4% figure, which was eventually adopted by the president.

Kentucky has just received approval from the Trump administration to implement their work requirements, which mirror their requirements for food stamps. There are 650,000 Medicaid beneficiaries in Kentucky. Many of these individuals do not have any earned income and do not work at all. Under the new requirements, these beneficiaries will have to either work, train, or volunteer for 20 hours a week in order to receive benefits.

According to research from the Foundation for Government Accountability, the number of Medicaid beneficiaries has more than doubled since 2000. Now 75 million are enrolled in the program, which includes 28 million able-bodied adults. In addition, 52 percent of Medicaid beneficiaries that are able-bodied do not work.

NYT Officially Designates Trump A Racist, And Nobody Cares

The New York Times wants to make it official: President Donald Trump is a racist.  On Friday, the editorial board of America’s most influential paper asserted there was no doubt of that.

The editorial was in response to Trump reportedly asking why America takes in so many immigrants from “shithole” countries instead of places like Norway.  “Where to begin?” the Times’ editorial board collectively sighed when reflecting on Trump’s statement. “How about with a simple observation: The president of the United States is a racist.”

It shouldn’t be doubted that folks like Charles Blow and others in the media genuinely believe Trump is a racist for saying “shithole” countries and criticizing illegal immigrants in colorful language. But they aren’t just saying what they believe to get it off their chest.
The commentators wanting Trump to be certified as a racist understand the power of that charge and how it has played out in politics in the past.

It Happens Every Year

This is MLK’s birthday, a national holiday. It is also the day when the Democrats’ blatant hypocrisy is raised to a new level. They use King’s memory to suck up to the useful idiots who are unaware they’re being sold a complete bill of goods. Every other day of the year they stand four-square against everything he stood for. Were he still alive he’d be treated like Justice Thomas, Senator Tim Scott, and every other black who has left the plantation.
But for this one day they invoke his memory, spout platitudes, and preach about living his “dream,” all while spouting hatred for anyone of the wrong color or ideology.

THESE PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE THEIR PRESS CREDENTIAL REVOKED.

Two sourpuss Dems will childishly skip the State of the Union; surely Trump is devastated by the news

House Democrats Maxine Waters and John Lewis will skip President Trump’s first State of the Union address because they’re furious that he allegedly called some impoverished, crime-riddled African nations “sh*tholes.”

“I don’t trust him, I don’t appreciate him, and I wouldn’t waste my time listening to what he has to say,” Waters fumed to MSNBC. “He does not deserve my attention.”

At this point, it really makes no difference that Waters, 79, and Lewis, 77, continue to flout their duties by skipping presidential addresses and meetings. President Trump is moving along with his agenda despite widespread Democratic obstruction.

CNN declared that MLK was an “environmental hero” and a socialist, “before it was cool,” in a tweet Monday morning.

The tweet was sent from the main CNN account with almost 40 million followers. The adjoining article in the tweet was entitled ‘Three ways MLK speaks to our time’ and features a breakdown of MLK’s relevance in today’s political climate.
The article describes how some historians classify MLK as a socialist, and goes on to make the case that socialism is very hip these days for youths who “are developing a distrust of capitalism.”
