GENE THERAPY SHOTS: The CDC just published the results of a new study into the effectiveness of the so-called “vaccines” in preventing hospitalization for COVID-19.

Their data show the shots not only do not prevent infection (which true vaccines should do) nor hospitalization (which is their big claim to fame), but also that their effectiveness fades over time.

The study involved 3,889 healthy adults ages 18 and over, who had no known prior SARS-CoV-2 infection and who received both doses of either the Moderna or the Pfizer/BioNTech mRNA Gene Therapy Agent (GTA) more than 14 days before succumbing to COVID-19. (There were not enough Johnson & Johnson candidates to make their data meaningful.)

During the first four months after achieving “fully vaccinated” status, 93% of the Moderna group and 88% of the Pfizer/BioNTech group had not been hospitalized for COVID-19. After 120 days, the so-called “effectiveness” of these agents declined to 92% for Moderna vs. 77% for Pfizer/BioNTech.

The study concluded, “Two-dose regimens of the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccines provided a high level of protection against COVID-19 hospitalizations.” Read that one again. Then consider that, according to my reading of the report (the link is below if you want to check my work), they did not track the number of non-hospitalized COVID-19 breakthrough infections in the group studied. There was also zero mention of early treatment protocols.

*True vaccines introduce a weakened or killed sample of the disease-causing agent to trigger the immune system to make an antibody key to that agent. I’m pretty sure their effectiveness is measured by how many breakthrough infections occur, not by how many of the breakthrough infections result in hospitalization and/or death.

GRAMMY NOTES: This graphic reminded me of something that happened to me when I was 2 years old, waaaaay before seat belts or car seats. My mother was driving and I was standing on the seat beside her. I remember putting my foot on to the door handle, which in that model opened the car by going DOWN. I told my mother once that I remembered it all, which amazed her because I was so young. But hey, it was traumatic to say the least! She filled in the blanks which included that she had just finished a right hand turn (I know the exact corner) so thankfully was going slowly when I opened the door. She said that as soon as she realized I was flying out the door, she laid on the horn and turned the car so no one else could hit me.

I remember her racing around the car to get me. I told her I thought she was really mad at me for falling out of the car. Now that I’ve been in similar situations with my kids (and now a grandkid!), I know she wasn’t mad. She was terrified!

I don’t remember going to the doctor, but apparently, I was fine. It made a heck of an impression though, because as soon as seat belts and later child car seats became available, I was an ardent user and supporter. I remember a baby sitter telling me she had put my not-talking-yet daughter into a car seat to run some errands, then got into the driver’s seat and started to pull out of the driveway. She said my kid kicked up a HUGE fuss, yelling at her and pointing to her waist. She finally realized she hadn’t buckled herself in and my kid was going nowhere until all the belts were fastened. 🙂

Next, we were told it was more important not to offend China by calling it the Chinese Coronavirus or the Wuhan Flu than it was to find a treatment.

Next, people started to get wise to the incompetence, and they started doing normal things. The incompetents would scream “super-spreader,” yet no super-spreader events were ever proven. People began to demonstrate they could manage the virus for themselves.

Next, states and locals started to drop the masking, and those states endured public recriminations, yet the infection rate continued to drop despite the dire predictions of the incompetent.

Next, we were told by a presidential candidate that he had a plan to shut the virus down. This implies that a virus can be shut down and that he actually had a plan to do something effective. Both now seem to be proven incompetent statements from someone with no real clue.

Next, an injection was developed that we were told was a vaccine, and administration of it began.

Next, the control group test data were corrupted by the injection maker by administering the drug to all participants in the trial. This has never been done before.

Next, virus variants were detected in other countries, and specifically, they were detected in South America.

Next, we opened the southern border to all.

Next, the American people found out that Big Government and Big Tech are colluding to block important information that is contrary to the approved messaging about the virus and the “vaccine.“

Next, we have legislation called COVID relief, but really, more than 80% of that money went to political paybacks and pet projects having nothing to do with COVID.

Next, the illegal aliens detained at the border were jammed into small spaces and not tested at the border. Many illegals were sent to other states in the dead of night to be tested later.

Next, we are over a year into the pandemic, and we have one treatment approved by the FDA. Despite indications that there are at least three successfully in use around the world — Remdesivir, ivermectin, and hydroxychloroquine — the FDA has only reluctantly added Remdesivir for people after they are hospitalized.

Next, we find out that the CDC is making policy based on recommendations from the teachers’ union. We have yet to learn who else is dictating COVID policy to the CDC. China, perhaps?

Next, we find out that the illegals being dumped in the country are not being tested or reported to the local authorities.

Next, we find out that two of the drugs called a vaccine did not meet the legal definition of “vaccine.”

Next, we find out the FDA is trying to change its definition of “vaccine” without comment or notice.

Next, we are told by the current White House occupant that the unvaccinated are a risk to the vaccinated. How can that be if the vaccine works and protects the vaccinated? Or is it not legally a vaccine?

This list took less than an hour to generate. I am sure that readers at AT can expand it.

The current White House occupant is upset that we are not just accepting the standard of incompetence that has been displayed. We are researching options for ourselves; keeping our friends and neighbors safe; and making our own decisions, as Americans have a history of doing.

A virus-like this cannot be contained or shut down. It can only be managed, and part of managing a virus is treatment options. The incompetence and the denial of the FDA, NIH, and CDC to use proper science to validate treatment options continue to hinder our ability to manage this disease.

Please keep this list of incompetence in mind as you try to determine whom to trust in the days and months ahead. This truly is a “pandemic of the incompetent.”

My family has significant autoimmune issues, so we’ve wrestled with vaccine decisions for many years. The doctor who helped us most when the kids were little had a simple formula. How prevalent, how dangerous, and how treatable is the disease vs. what is the vaccine’s track record with respect to effectiveness and safety. There is a new factor that we only recently become aware of which is what, if any, connection does a vaccine have to abortion.

We’ve applied these to the COVID-19 vaccines and believe that the vaccines are experimental and dangerous. So while, yes the disease is prevalent, it is also becoming increasing less dangerous as it mutates. Also, it is highly treatable and, while we both have age and health conditions on the con side, we also don’t smoke or drink, we live a largely chemical free life (e.g., organic food, air/water filters) and keep our zinc, and Vitamins C and D levels high.

This decision could potentially cost us access to medical care if mandates move to banning doctors/hospitals from allowing us in the door and/or Medicare refusing to pay for any care whatsoever. As far as that goes, well, I’m kinda hoping – with a nod to the fact that schadenfreude is a sin – that the problems the ‘rona vaccines are causing will soon become so obvious that the Left just drops the mandate thing and moves on to shrieking about something else … like climate change or racism.

Anyway, there still is an issue Dearest and I needed to talk through and pray about, which is, if we catch the China virus, our doctor is definitely going to want us to get Regeneron-COV immediately. And Regeneron-COV was tested on those aborted fetal cell lines from the 1960s.

As I’ve reported here before, the spoken guidance from my church’s leaders ranges from black to white. On one side are those who believe that using any product developed with and/or tested on the 1960 cell lines constitutes an unacceptable level of cooperation in the grave evil of abortion; on the other side are those who believe the two abortions from which the cell lines originated happened a long time ago, plus there are no non-abortion-tainted alternatives, plus anti-vaxxers are evil and want your grandma to die.

The Catholic Church’s written guidance on the use of such abortion-tainted products is more nuanced. A screenshot of the key paragraph is above. The full 8 page doc is available at the pdf link below. It is an interesting read that I highly recommend. Among other things, it lays out the levels of cooperation in abortion and their moral significance. As the screenshot above shows, the use of COVID-19 vaccines and Regeneron-COV falls into the “least of these” categories, which is “passive material cooperation.”

In short, the ethical burden for us is to weigh the cost vs. benefit carefully and prayerfully before making a decision. We will each stand alone before Almighty God at judgment, so freedom of conscience is paramount in Catholic teaching. But it must be a well-formed conscience. Just doing what is easiest won’t fly.

Dearest and I tossed the issues around last night. Regeneron-COV is reportedly safe and effective and we both have compelling co-morbidities to consider so, while we’re not going to love it, I think we’ve both decided it is the most ethical choice for us to get the shots should we contract COVID-19.

CANADA: Nearly 13,000 airline employees in Canada have banded together to fight mandatory COVID-19 jabs as a condition of employment in the aviation industry. Their website says,

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says people who refuse the vaccine are “endangering others” and he has “no sympathy” for their complaints about discrimination.

DELTA AIRLINES: Thousands of Delta Air Lines employees were pressured into getting the COVID shot after the company declared it was imposing a $200 monthly healthcare surcharge for unvaccinated workers enrolled in the company’s account-based healthcare plan. Roughly 16,000 unvaccinated Delta employees have thus far held out.

To avoid the surcharge, employees must either get the shot or obtain a medical or religious exemption. There do not appear to be any carve-outs for those who have already attained natural immunity to COVID-19. Unvaccinated employees must wear a mask while indoors and submit to weekly COVID testing.

In addition, the airline will only provide COVID pay protection to fully vaccinated individuals who are experiencing a breakthrough infection.

MEDICAL TYRANNY: A hospital in Georgia has flatly refused to honor the requests of two seriously ill patients, their family members, and their doctor to try hydroxychloroquine. The hospital has also refused to release the couple into their daughter’s care, so she can take them to a different hospital that will follow the couple’s wishes. The hospital said the daughter had to be vaccinated before she could take charge of her parents … who are already infected.

An Alabama hospital is refusing to treat a 43-year-old husband and father of two with ivermectin and Vitamin C as requested. He is in the ICU where his condition is steadily worsening.

A Chicago Catholic hospital refused a patient’s request for ivermectin and refused to let her be taken to another facility. She’s dead now.

The following is part of a homily entitled “God Is Not Mocked” that was given on September 5, 2021 – the 15^th Sunday After Pentecost – at Notre Dame Monastery in Australia. I don’t know the priest’s name.

“What I am about to say here may strike some as being somewhat political. It is not political; it is pastoral. I speak these words as a Catholic Priest, a Benedictine Monk and as a Doctor in Moral Theology. …

“Let’s be clear. There is no moral responsibility to receive the vaccine. I’m going to explain why.

“For there to be such an obligation, a number of conditions would need to be met. Assuming there is a real danger:

1) the vaccine would have to present no ethical objections at all in its development;

2) it would have to be certain in its effectiveness;

3) it would have to be safe beyond doubt;

4) there would have to be no other options to protect oneself and others against the virus.

“Now, none of these conditions are met.

“The gravest objection [is that] all the vaccines currently available are made using and therefore abusing an innocent baby. It is the ultimate and gravest form of child abuse ever, and it is astounding that anyone could think God will actually bless such crimes by allowing them to save humanity. …

“Secondly, … the vaccines have not been properly tested; they are still on trial. This is not a debated point. It is clearly stated on the websites of those who produced them. … The whole world is being treated as an immense laboratory in which you and I are expected to be the Guinea pigs.

But we do have a word for them and this word is for everyone, including authorities, both civil and religious of every rank. It is a strong word. That word is this:

“Beware. Our conscience stands firm on this issue. If you wish to pressure us, know that you are violating the voice of a well-formed conscience, that is the voice of God Himself. You should also know that international law condemns severely the use of moral persuasion when it comes to that taking of any medication that is experimental. This sort of thing has been done before. It was perpetrated by the same people who put yellow stars on the shoulders of the Jews, and then ultimately decided that they had a better, more final, solution for them. Beware. We’ve heard many times that the fetal tissue used in the development and testing of vaccines, drugs, and cosmetics is not a big deal morally, because the cell lines originate from a small number of fetuses “ethically and legally aborted” back in the 1960s.

The Very Well Health article below claims that since the 1960s, no additional fetal cells have been harvested to use in the creation of vaccines. And in 2017, the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy for Life said that because a lack of vaccinations represents a serious health risk, it’s not morally problematic for Catholics to use vaccines developed with the cells “derived solely from two fetuses originally aborted in the 1960s.”

Unfortunately, this claim and the Vatican’s assurances don’t line up with the facts. In January 2018, Dr. Stanley Plotkin, M.D. (the man credited with developing the Rubella vaccine) testified under oath about the use of dozens of aborted, second trimester fetuses in the development of a particular vaccine. He notes the Catholic church says he’ll go to Hell for it and that he will be “glad” to do so.

TRANS BISHOP: The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) just installed its first openly transgender bishop on Saturday during a ceremony at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco with 65 bishops and more than 150 pastors in attendance.

Bishop Megan Rohrer will lead the Sacramento-based Sierra Pacific Synod, which includes almost 200 congregations in California and Nevada. The 41-year-old biological female uses the pronouns “he” and “they” and is married to “his” wife, Laurel. The couple has two children.

TRUMP: Heads up to my fellow Trump supporters … beware of giving your email to any Trump group. I’m now on multiple lists, all of which send me nearly daily “Donate Now” begging emails. I wouldn’t mind it so much, but their “unsubscribe” functions do not work. So EVERY DAY, I have 4 or 5 of these “DONATE NOW” things in my spam folder!

P.S., I also had a bad experience with the Trump 2020 campaign store. They took my money immediately, but didn’t ship for 6 weeks! When I complained, they said, “That’s what everybody does.” No, it isn’t. I do the majority of my shopping on-line. Almost NOBODY charges UNTIL THEY SHIP.
