Former Clinton campaign lawyer Marc Elias has been revealed to have paid for the ‘dirty dossier’ on Donald Trump.  Campaign lawyer Marc Elias hired research firm Fusion GPS back in April 2016.  The firm then hired British intelligence agent Christopher Steele, who compiled the dossier.  He lists both the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee as clients.  DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz appointed him to a special task force.  Clinton’s press secretary said the candidate ‘may have known’ about funding the dossier.  A Wasserman Schultz spokesman said she was ‘not aware of anything’ about the arrangement.
