Hillary Clinton At Reid Retirement Party: ‘Not The Speech I Expected To Give At The Capitol After The Election…’
Hillary Clinton referenced her monumental loss to Donald Trump during her first appearance on Capitol Hill since the election.
“After a few selfies taken in the woods, I am thankful to be here.”
“I grateful to Senator Reid for inviting me,” she said.

Good riddance Harry Reid
This is Reid’s morality: Win, at any cost, by any means necessary. It’s a toxic worldview, and his years as a Senate leader have poisoned the institution he professes to love.
With a simple majority vote and over strenuous objections from members of both parties, Reid torched decades of Senate precedent by taking away the Senate minority’s ability to block most presidential nominations.

Obama to appear on ‘The Daily Show’ with Trevor Noah
“As this unprecedented election year comes to an end, President Barack Obama will appear as a guest on ‘The Daily Show with Trevor Noah’ on Monday, December 12,” Comedy Central said in a statement.
The show segment will be recorded inside the White House and will air at 11 p.m. It will also likely be Obama’s very last appearance on the program as president.

He told CNN: ‘Are there folks whose primary concern about me has been that I seem foreign, the other? Are those who champion the “birther” movement feeding off of bias? Absolutely’

John Kelly, Trump’s Homeland Security pick, gave a remarkable speech 4 days after his son died serving in Afghanistan

HOW WONDERFUL IT WILL BE TO HAVE PEOPLE OF INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER LEADING OUR COUNTRY ONCE AGAIN.
Four days earlier, Kelly’s 29-year-old son, Marine 1st Lt. Robert Michael Kelly, stepped on a land mine while leading a patrol in southern Afghanistan. He was killed instantly.
John Kelly, President-elect Donald Trump’s reported pick for Homeland Security chief, never spoke of his fallen son by name during the speech to the Semper Fi Society that he had committed to give long before his son’s death. According to the Post, the elder Kelly made one request to the officer who introduced him: “Please don’t mention my son.”
Kelly, 66, is the highest-ranking military officer to lose a child in combat in Iraq or Afghanistan — a burden of war that thousands of so-called Gold Star military families like his must bear.

The collapse of the political Left
It’s been a tough decade for the political left. Eight years ago a Time magazine cover portrayed Barack Obama as Franklin Roosevelt, complete with cigarette and holder and a cover line proclaiming “The New New Deal.” A Newsweek cover announced “We Are All Socialists Now.”
Leftist politicians supposed that ordinary voters with modest incomes facing hard times would believe that regulation and redistribution would help them. Evidently most don’t.

Pastor Gregory P. Fryer of New York City’s Immanuel Lutheran Church said the idea just came to him one day.
“I thought about it for years,” the 65-year-old told WNYW-TV, “but I’m getting older and I thought, ‘I better do it if I’m gonna do it.’”
So a desk and chair hit the corner of East 88th and Lexington outside the church, along with a couple of yellow signs: “Spiritual Help 5¢” and “The Pastor Is In.”

The Art of Getting It Done

There was a discussion on Redeye Radio this morning on the subject of the democrat prospects of gaining any ground in two years is bleak. Sorry I can’t find the piece they were reading from, but here’s the gist:

The Democrat Party is bound to the climate alarmists and green energy scammers.  Of the eight Rust Belt states, they lost all but one, and Trump came within one point of winning deep-blue Minnesota.

The working people in those states have watched as more and more environmental regulations have pushed once-thriving industries out and more and more of their hard-earned tax money has gone to subsidize wind and solar companies that cannot sustain themselves without government handouts.

Apparently the leftists are more worried about offending the Greens than they are of being a viable party.

Meanwhile, Trump has hit the ground running, naming people who know business to right the ship of state as more and more businesses are poised to return jobs to the U.S. anticipating a cut in corporate taxes and the easing of crushing regulations.

Donald Trump And The Art Of Getting It Done: Not president yet, he’s already restoring hope in the American dream.

They also told us that globalization is an irreversible trend, that it’s therefore impossible to rescue manufacturing jobs, that the economy and the world are in a certain order and that only the foolish or naive would seek to overturn it.
Then Mr. Trump arrived on the scene.
For a new hire who doesn’t start work for another six weeks, he has been a whirling dervish of decision-making, deal-making and status quo-busting.
The man hasn’t even clocked in yet, and he’s already saving American jobs, reassuring allies, striking fear and anxiety in our enemies and standing for freedom and free enterprise.

Trump Asks for List of All Companies Planning on Leaving US – Will Call Each One Individually

Last week Donald Trump warned companies that were planning on leaving the United States.
CNN reported:  “Companies are not going to leave the U.S. anymore without consequences,” Trump said Thursday at the Indiana plant where the company makes furnaces.
Trump said that those consequences would include paying higher tariffs on imports. Carrier announced in February that it would lay off workers and move those jobs to Mexico.

US Steel CEO hopes to bring back jobs they were forced to let go during ‘depressive’ era…THOUSANDS of them
The American steel industry may bring back thousands of jobs now that Donald Trump will be president.
Mario Longhi, the CEO of US Steel Corporation, said the domestic steel industry may be able to rehire up to 10,000 employees who were laid off during the recent economic downturn.
The steel industry has laid off more than 16,000 workers since January 2015, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Longhi blamed the firings on cheap foreign steel products being illegally dumped in the United States.

Trump Appreciates How Work And Self-Esteem Are Related

THIS IS A SIMPLE CONCEPT THE LEFT CONTINUES TO IGNORE

Donald Trump seems to have intuitively understood that a lot of working class Americans are demoralized. But whereas the solution from liberals was free money — and the message from conservatives was that everyone should be an entrepreneur — most Americans don’t want to collect welfare or start a small business, they just want jobs.
It’s a simple, yet profound, concept. As Arthur Brooks wrote back in 2010, “Earned success gives people a sense of meaning about their lives. And meaning also is a key to human flourishing.”

Even anti-Trump working-class voters are having second thoughts
Robert James stood outside the Carrier plant just before the president-elect addressed workers at the refrigeration and heating assembly factory.  James would never dream of voting Republican: “For all of my life the Democrats have been the party of the working guy, had my back. But if I am being really honest, and this is tough to admit, but I can’t remember the last time they did anything to improve the dignity and value of my job” — a point that didn’t really crystallize for him until it became personal: until his job was saved. By a Republican.

How Union Bosses Sold Out Their Workers
The 2016 election exposed deep divisions in America, but none deeper than that between the leadership of organized labor and its membership. Union bosses spent some $100 million in member dues to try and elect Hillary Clinton and other Democrats across the country. It wasn’t money well-spent.

Don’t buy the lie that Obama’s leaving behind a healthy economy
After eight years of blaming America’s problems on George W. Bush, the press that got the election wrong is rolling out a new line — that President Obama is handing President-elect Donald Trump a booming economy.
That takes some brass.
The truth is that the Obama years have been among America’s worst for the economy. His eight years will go down in history as the Great Recession, even though for much, even most, of the span, we weren’t technically in a recession.
It just felt that way. And no wonder. Obama’s is the only modern presidency that failed to show a single year of growth above 3 percent, a point Trump stressed during the campaign (and that was conceded even by the website Politifact).
Plus, the Obama economy failed to prosper even though the Federal Reserve had its pedal to the metal. Its quantitative easing, $2 trillion balance-sheet expansion and zero-interest-rate policy all produced zilch.

Washington Prepares for Trump’s Executive Eraser

Trump’s determination to tap his executive authority next year in all its many forms will demand sharp legal advice and patience. Some regulatory reversals he has in mind, for instance, are predicted to take two or more years to accomplish. Other Obama policies will be easier to erase.

Trump Selects Oklahoma AG Fighting EPA Regulations to Lead EPA
THIS PICK HAS ENVIRO-WEENIES GOING BALLISTIC

The Oklahoma attorney general, who the New York Times described as a “hero to conservative activists,” is one of the Republican attorneys general who formed an alliance with the country’s top energy producers to put a stop to Obama’s regulatory agenda.
Pruitt, along with Greg Abbott of Texas, planned a legal effort starting in 2014 to counter the Obama administration’s string of regulations, including on climate change. Their efforts resulted in a 28-state lawsuit against Obama’s climate change rules, which is expected to move to the Supreme Court.

Trump Day One To-Do List: Repeal $1.7 Billion Of Dodd-Frank Rules
THE TWO JERKOFFS ON BARRY’S LEFT (THE ONES HOLDING IN THEIR COLOSTOMY BAGS) ARE THE MAIN CULPRITS IN THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

The Dodd-Frank financial “reform,” passed by Democrats and signed into law by President Obama in 2010, is arguably the most misguided and economically harmful piece of legislation ever imposed on the country (the second, arguably, is ObamaCare).
As we’ve noted in this space before, one of the main reasons the economy has been stuck in neutral for the past six years has been the millstone of a 2,300-page law that has spawned multitudes more pages of costly and economically foolish regulations. The law has calcified the credit markets, forced community banks out of business, and unleashed an unaccountable, out-of-control agency that goes by the innocent-sounding name of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Ohio approves bill to ban all abortions after the heartbeat of the fetus is first detected
The so-called ‘heartbeat’ abortion bill has been approved by Ohio’s state House. It would see almost all abortions banned after the first heartbeat is detected. AS IT SHOULD BE.

[CtH: I have long said that the standards for determining death should be the same ones for determining life.  Currently, the standard for determining life is whether or not the baby’s nearest kin want him or her to live, while the standard for determining death are cessation of heart beat and brain activity, both of which are detectable in fetuses before many women suspect they’re even pregnant. Of course, if the euthanasia creeps get their way, we’ll make death like abortion where the people who are most likely to resent the expense and bother of caring for the helpless individual gets to decide whether or not to off him or her.]

Whoa: Liberals Mull Scheme to Temporarily Seize Control of Senate, Confirm Obama’s SCOTUS Nominee
On January 3, 2017, Democrats will hold the majority in the Senate for a few minutes, until the newly-elected Senators are sworn in. Biden could convene the Senate in those few minutes and call for a vote. The majority could then suspend the rules and vote in Merrick Garland. The key here is that VP Biden would have to be willing to convene the Senate and recognize Senator Dick Durbin instead of Mitch McConnell.  Durbin moves to re-nominate Garland, and Senate Democrats then vote to confirm him. They will have a quorum for those few minutes. It’s bold. Garland would be confirmed by 34 Democrats and no Republicans.

Valerie Jarrett: Trump Victory Was ‘Soul-Crushing,’ ‘Punch to the Stomach

Jarrett said, “We were surprised by the outcome of the election. It kind of was like a — I’m not sure what the right analogy would be, but like a punch in the stomach, let’s say. Soul-crushing might be another description. But that’s the democracy that we have. The people get to decide and the elections matter and we have to get about the business of doing our jobs.”

Barack “MeToo!” Obama
Donald Trump began a Thank You Tour this past week to celebrate his victory with those who supported him in the election.  Naturally, “MeToo!” Obama decides he needs to do a tour as well.
Fox News Chief National Correspondent Ed Henry told Fox & Friends this morning that behind the scenes, Obama’s advisors are planning a Farewell Tour in mid-January before he leaves office.
Not for the same reasons, of course.  Trump is doing it to thank us; Barack “MeToo!” Obama is doing it so people can thank him. Amazing, isn’t it?
Obama flies to Hawaii in less than two weeks and will stay there until after the New Year. Then, he’ll hop aboard Air Force One, return to Washington just in time to launch his Farewell Tour.
Said Ed Henry: “I’m told there’s at least three cities that President Obama will be giving major speeches in arenas. One of them is Chicago, his sort of adopted hometown. They’re looking at the United Center there, where the Chicago Bulls play.”
He can’t wait three weeks and do a little tour on his own dime?  What’s wrong with holding a “I’m a Private Citizen Now” tour?  I guarantee, tens of thousands of Americans who didn’t vote for Obama would turn up to celebrate that.
No. Obama wants to do this because he is continuously being upstaged by the man who will replace him.  And nobody puts Barry in the corner!

The Seven Harsh Realities of Life for Millennials

15095471_1286620684694337_8763702303038569669_n

7 Harsh Realities Of Life Millennials Need To Understand
1. Your Feelings Are Largely Irrelevant

2.. You Cannot Be Whatever You Want To Be

3. Gender Studies Is A Waste Of Money

4. If You Live In America, You’re Already In The 1%

5. You Don’t Have A Right To It Just Because You Exist

6. You DO Have The Right To Live As You Please — But Not To Demand People Accept It

If you want to cross-dress, smoke marijuana, drink lots of alcohol, have lots of sex, and, yes, even go to school for gender studies, then by all means, go for it. Government should not be allowed to legislate people’s behavior as long as it doesn’t infringe upon someone else’s rights, but that doesn’t mean society isn’t allowed to have an opinion.

7. The Only Safe Space Is Your Home

No matter where you go in life, someone will be there to offend you. Maybe it’s a joke you overheard on vacation, a spat at the office, or a difference of opinion with someone in line at the grocery store. Inevitably, someone will offend you and your values. If you cannot handle that without losing control of your emotions and reverting back to your “safe space” away from the harmful words of others, then you’re best to just stay put at home. Remember, though: if people in the outside world scare you, people on the internet will downright terrify you. It’s probably best to just accept these harsh realities of life and go out into the world prepared to confront them wherever they may be waiting.

Farmers push back against animal welfare laws

All hogs in Massachusetts will be able to stretch their legs and turn around in their crates and all hens will be able to spread their wings under a law passed in November by voters in the state.
Laws like this one, which strictly regulate how farm animals are confined, are becoming more common across the U.S., as large-scale farming replaces family farms and consumers learn more about what happens behind barn doors.
Farmers acknowledge that some people who do not spend much time on farms may object to some of their practices. But they say that they do not abuse animals and that their practices are the most efficient and safest way to keep up with demand for food. And, they say, complying with restrictions on raising poultry and livestock like those approved in Massachusetts are costly for them and for consumers.

The Obamas, who will officially move out of the White House on Jan. 20, are expected to leave soon for their annual Christmas trip, which last year lasted from Dec. 18 to Jan. 3.

So Many Topics, So Little Space

IT’S OFFICIAL:

CHECK OUT WHAT THEY WROTE:
This is the 90th time we have named the person who had the greatest influence, for better or worse, on the events of the year. So which is it this year: Better or worse? The challenge for Donald Trump is how profoundly the country disagrees about the answer.
It’s hard to measure the scale of his disruption. This real estate baron and casino owner turned reality-TV star and provocateur—never a day spent in public office, never a debt owed to any interest besides his own—now surveys the smoking ruin of a vast political edifice that once housed parties, pundits, donors, pollsters, all those who did not see him coming or take him seriously. Out of this reckoning, Trump is poised to preside, for better or worse.

House passes sweeping legislation to aid veterans
IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME
“More veterans, including many at risk of homelessness, will receive the care and benefits they need and deserve,” he continued. “VA hospitals will have better management of mental health counselors and emergency room doctors. Veterans’ families will be helped by extending critical education benefits to surviving members. Work will finally begin to help descendants of veterans exposed to toxic substances.”
The bill, which now moves to the Senate floor, was part of Congress’s response to scandals within the Veterans Affairs Department that saw soldiers waiting so long for doctor appointments that some died. Some VA health clinics were over-prescribing opioids, and the VA had a massive backlog of claims benefits.

Luthy, a disabled Air Force vet, had been struggling to find work since he needed his service animal, a dog named Charlotte, to be with him. But he got hired for a part-time job at a Lowe’s in Abilene, Texas. Hiring Luthy meant Lowe’s was also hiring Charlotte.
“We were interviewing people for his position. And he was one of the applicants. And so he showed up for the interview and he had Charlotte with him,” Jay Fellers, a human resource manager at Lowes, told CNN affiliate KRBC.

Bikers for Trump secure space for inauguration amid several planned protestsbikersTHERE WILL BE THOUSANDS OF GROWNUPS TO KEEP THE ADOLESCENTS IN LINE
Groups planning to protest President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration next month monopolized the National Park Service permits to use public spaces around Washington during the event — until Bikers for Trump showed up.
Bikers for Trump founder Chris Cox said he had to negotiate with National Park Service officials to find space for the motorcyclists because anti-Trump groups had scooped up nearly every location for their “disruption” events surrounding the Jan. 20 inauguration.
Securing a designated area for the thousands of bikers expected to roll into Washington to watch Mr. Trump take the oath of office is crucial to avoiding clashes between the two sides, he said.
“We’ve already won. There’s no reason for these guys to be going shoulder to shoulder against the Black Lives Matter and the rest of the [protesting] guys,” Mr. Cox said. “This is a victory tour.”
The bikers are accustomed to being outnumbered and face-to-face with protesters, having often set themselves up as buffers between demonstrators and supporters at Trump rallies.

GOP Readies Cuts to Federal Workforce Under Trump Reductions part of long-sought civil service overhaul
One major plan is being readied by Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The Utah Republican calls it “high on our agenda.” While details remain sketchy, it would likely mean big changes to the generous retirement benefits given federal workers, mainly by looking to shift new employees from a defined benefit into a market-based 401(k).
He is also interested in making it easier to fire workers who perform badly and wants to reduce the federal civilian workforce, which currently numbers 2.1 million employees, not including U.S. Postal Service employees.

Georgetown Installs Work of Art Honoring Hillary Clinton as ‘Beacon of Dignity and Guiding Light’
Tax-funded installations help residents ‘move forward’ after Clinton defeat
OH GOOD LORD
The artwork, titled “Red, White, and Hillary Blue Diamonds,” consists of five aluminum frames illuminated by LED lights. The diamond-shaped structures are installed in three locations, where they serve “as gateways into Georgetown.”
The installations are “dedicated to former Senator Hillary Clinton, who is the beacon of dignity and guiding light, as a thank you for her strength as we move forward,” according to a placard next to the art.

For GOP lawmakers, an attempt at harmony — and a potential collision course with Trump
What most would not say is how willing they will be to oppose Trump outright. In many instances, these Republicans have forced themselves into ideological and rhetorical contortions to accommodate the populist views of their party’s new standard bearer.
When Trump talks protectionist tariffs, Hill Republicans discuss “comprehensive tax reform.” When Trump says he will build a border wall, GOP lawmakers refer to “securing the border,” perhaps without a physical barrier. When Trump talks about getting tough with China, lawmakers play down any major policy shift.

Kerry ‘fesses up about Obama’s ‘red line’
THESE TWO ASSCLOWNS WOULD F*CK UP A ONE-CAR FUNERAL
Secretary of State John Kerry told a painful truth on Sunday, admitting that President Obama’s “red line” fiasco in Syria “cost us significantly” by leading other nations to see America as weak.
UH, LURCH, THEY ALREADY KNEW YOU WERE WEAK
Kerry on Sunday fell back on two excuses. First he argued that it was a “misperception” that Washington had been weak, since Assad did give up (many of) his chems. But even he had to admit that “it doesn’t matter. It cost. Perception can often just be the reality.”
He also faulted Congress for not immediately OK’ing the use of force once the president asked — without noting that Obama, in the year after he drew the red line, never laid a bit of groundwork with Congress (or with America’s allies) for enforcing it.
If you issue a threat, then don’t even prepare to make good on it, all you’ve really made is … an empty bluff.

Uh Oh: Half Of Detroit’s Ballots Might Be Disqualified Due To Errors
CORRUPTION IN DETROIT? I’M SHOCKED! SHOCKED!
Michigan’s largest county voted overwhelmingly for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, but officials couldn’t reconcile vote totals for 610 of 1,680 precincts during a countywide canvass of vote results late last month.
Most of those are in heavily Democratic Detroit, where the number of ballots in precinct poll books did not match those of voting machine printout reports in 59 percent of precincts, 392 of 662.

This Will Be the Last One

Pearl Harbor plus 75 years
It’s the 75th anniversary of the “date which will live in infamy,” the early morning peacetime attack on Pearl Harbor that in just 30 minutes claimed 2,043 American lives — a one-day death toll that would not be exceeded until 9/11 — and unleashed a war in the Pacific that would kill millions more.

This is likely the last milestone commemoration of Pearl Harbor: The few remaining survivors are all well into their 90s. All too soon, Americans’ last first-hand links to The Greatest Generation will be gone.

But Americans should never forget what happened on that bloody day: the perfidy, the tragedy and, most of all, the bravery and unbelievable heroism.
The treachery of the attack, and the huge losses suffered, stunned Americans — but it also unified and galvanized them into a grim determination to persevere at all costs until total victory was won.

The nation saw much the same immediately after 9/11 — but, unlike Pearl Harbor, that unity was short-lived.

So, as we pay tribute to the heroes of Dec. 7, 1941, let us all remember also how America pulled itself up from that dark day and secured the ultimate revenge: victory.

The remains of this Pearl Harbor sailor, and many others, are finally coming home

Edwin Chester Hopkins’ casket was draped with an American flag that had hung above the state Capitol
It was a grand funeral, one of the most memorable this New England town had witnessed, for a young man who had perished just past his 19th birthday. All that was lacking were the copious tears one would expect for someone whose death was so tragic and premature.
None of the several hundred mourners had met Hopkins, not even his near relatives. He was truly an unknown soldier, but the sense of loss, of what might have been, was still palpable. Hopkins was one of 2,403 Americans killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, the date that would live in infamy.
As the nation prepares to mark the 75th anniversary of the surprise attack, more and more of those who died that day are finally returning home.
This year alone, the remains of more than 20 sailors from the Oklahoma have been identified and reburied with full military honors — some at Arlington National Cemetery and others at their hometowns.

White House: Some ‘Embittered’ WWII Vets Will Get Over Japanese Leader’s Pearl Harbor Visit
IT JUST MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL TO SEE WHAT THIS BAG OF BASTARDS WILL STOOP TO DISHONOR THESE HEROES
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said during a press conference Monday it was natural for World War II veterans to be “embittered” about Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to Pearl Harbor, but they should get over it for the sake of America.
But Earnest followed up by saying those veterans should overcome those feelings for the good of the country.
“Yes, there may be some who feel personally embittered,” he said. “But I’m confident that many will set aside their own personal bitterness, not because they’re personally satisfied by the words of the Prime Minister, but because they recognize how important this moment is for the United States.”
White House’s extraordinary insult to heroes of World War II as it accuses veterans.

THIS BUNCH OF EFFEMINATE GASBAGS WOULD PISS THEMSELVES IF THEY WENT THROUGH WHAT THE PEOPLE THEY’RE MOCKING DID. SO GLAD WE’RE ALMOST RID OF THEM.

Japan PM Abe won’t apologise at Pearl Harbor: government
Tokyo (AFP) – Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will honour war dead but won’t apologise when he becomes the first Japanese leader to visit Pearl Harbor this month, a top government spokesman said on Tuesday.
The move follows Barack Obama’s historic May trip to Hiroshima, the first by a sitting US president, where he spoke of victims’ suffering but offered no apology for dropping the world’s first nuclear bomb.
“The purpose of this visit is to commemorate war dead, not to apologise,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told a regular press briefing in Tokyo.

I DON’T HAVE THE WORDS TO EXPRESS THE REVERENCE I HAVE FOR THOSE WHO SUFFERED AND PAID THE ULTIMATE PRICE SO THAT WE CAN LIVE THE WAY WE DO. THE DEPTH OF THE GREATEST OCEAN DOES NOT COMPARE TO THE DEPTH OF CONTEMPT I HAVE FOR THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY WHO NO LONGER CARE, IF THEY EVER DID, ABOUT ANYTHING BUT THEMSELVES.
IN 1941, THE NATION CAME TOGETHER AND EVERYONE SHARED IN THE SACRIFICE THAT LED TO ULTIMATE VICTORY. AFTER 9/11 THE UNITY LASTED ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE THE MEDIA WENT BACK TO THE BUSINESS OF ATTACKING GEORGE W. BUSH AT EVERY TURN. I WAS AND REMAIN THANKFUL THAT HE WAS OUR PRESIDENT AND NOT MR. GLOBAL HUCKSTER, WHO WHINES TO THIS DAY.
MAY WE ONE DAY BE DESERVING OF WHAT THESE MEN DID FOR US.

The Truth About the Pipeline

If you listen to the leftists media the Noble Red Man is standing up to the eeeevil oil people who are trying to desecrate their sacred land by ramming an oil pipeline though their burial grounds and fouling their drinking water. If you believe that crap, shame on you. An Obama-appointed judge ordered a halt to construction, setting off heap big celebration with much fire water and smokum heap big bowls of locoweed. Even a bunch of white eyes have gotten in on the fun, leading some Injuns to complain they were treating their gig like Burning Man.

Left Pushes Misinformation in War Against Dakota Access Pipeline
THE BUILDERS OF THE PIPELINE, ENERGY TRANSFER PARTNERS, HAD INVESTED $3.5 BILLION BEFORE THE INDIANS RAISED ANY OBJECTIONS
When it comes to the plight of the American Indian, liberal hypocrisy shines.
On Sunday, the anti-pipeline agitators gained something of a victory after the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers refused to grant the project a permit needed to finish construction — the company will likely be forced to reroute the pipeline.
Their concern is hardly surprising, given the plethora of false stories and fake news regarding the protests. Indeed, one widely circulated story even asserted that police had been given the green light to shoot protesters.
Of course what these hysterical reports — which range from highly exaggerated to patently false — fail to mention is that some of these “peaceful” pipeline protests are anything but. Protesters have attacked police, set fires, and damaged private property.
Moreover, even those who are protesting peacefully do so for a shaky cause. The pipeline will not be constructed on native land, but on private property north of the Standing Rock reservation.
Nor will the pipeline harm the water supply, as it will be built underneath the Missouri River.
“The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers held 389 meetings with 55 tribes to confer on the DAPL. In addition, 29 open houses, public meetings, and regulatory hearings were held throughout the four states where the pipeline travels. The Three Affiliated Tribes of North Dakota even voted unanimously to approve the project on Dec. 2, 2015,” Kain wrote.
Given all of the evidence, it seems clear that resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline was drummed up by interests who stand to gain financially should the pipeline not be built.
It’s hardly surprising then that Russell Kirk, the traditionalist conservative intellectual and godfather of the American conservative movement, was a fierce proponent of the American Indian cause, and after the 1973 Wounded Knee incident reportedly said he would have stood proudly in arms with the members of the American Indian Movement.
No one can deny that Native Americans have a lot of things to be angry about — but the Dakota Access Pipeline isn’t one of them.

Trump Supports Dakota Pipeline And Will Review Obama’s Rejection
THERE’S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN
Trump has pledged to overhaul the nation’s energy policy in a way that favors energy companies, and a reversal of the pipeline decision would fulfill that pledge. He has also said he will find a way to reverse the Obama administration’s rejection of TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL pipeline.
The Trump administration can probably overturn the Corps’ decision in Dakota and issue the required easement soon after taking power, Elvira Scotto, an analyst at RBC Capital Markets, said in a note Sunday night.
Congress, too, may get involved. Asked Monday if lawmakers will challenge the Army Corps decision, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said, “I think we’ll get a new administration, we’ll get new eyes, and there’s always a possibility.”

Hundreds of Dakota Access protesters march through a BLIZZARD in protest after Trump says he could REVERSE decision to halt pipeline construction

Trump said he will revisit the decision to halt construction when he takes office
Protesters braved a heavy blizzard at the Standing Rock Sioux reservation
Camp cheered on Sunday when U.S. Army said it would halt project’s final stage
APPARENTLY, THE WHISKEY WAS RUNNING LOW
A group of Aztec dancers joined the march. One of the group, Sergio, told DailyMail.com: ‘We are here in solidarity against DAPL. We are here in celebration and prayer, showing support our brothers and sisters here in North Dakota.’
THEY PROBABLY SAID: THE HELL WITH THIS…WE’RE GOING BACK TO MEXICO, WHERE IT’S WARM!
This female protester, Brown Buffalo Calf Woman, said she believed the time had come for people to stand up and protect the water
Brown Buffalo Calf Woman….ISN’T THAT MICHELLE OBAMA’S INDIAN NAME?

White House (not the Army) halts Dakota Access Pipeline work yet again
HOW MUCH LONGER BEFORE WE GET RID OF HIM??
As NBC News was reporting yesterday, both Energy Transfer Partners (the owners of the project) and both of the state’s senators called foul and said that these delays and harassment would end once Obama leaves office.
Energy Transfer Partners, the company behind the project, denounced the decision Sunday night as “a purely political action.”
Just to be clear, this obviously wasn’t a move which was made in a vacuum by the CoE. This came straight from the White House with the backing of the Justice Department. It was over a month ago when the Army began making noises about “looking at an alternate route” in response to the protests. But keep in mind that the current route is the one which the Army already approved and it was that approval which formed the basis for the state Public Service Commission’s decision to provide final approval. That approval was twice challenged in court and upheld both times.

Just Plain Tuesday

Can it be January already? Please? I’m getting a little sick of the crappy attitude the left has amplified since they got whupped. Is anybody else just a little nervous about the phony recall? Hillary can’t win, but the goal was to delegitimize Trump the way they did with W. after Florida 2000. All I can say is it’s a good thing he won by a big enough margin to overcome the rampant fraud that’s coming to light.

Half of Detroit votes may be ineligible for recount
One-third of precincts in Wayne County could be disqualified from an unprecedented statewide recount of presidential election results because of problems with ballots.

WHAT’S GOING ON? Trump Loses 16,648 Votes in Pennsylvania In the Last Week
Massive voter fraud in Pennsylvania has been identified. The final certified results in Pennsylvania show Donald Trump winning the state with 2,961,658 votes, while former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won 2,913,903 votes. The difference is 47,755 votes. This is what is now reported after absentee ballots were counted as reported on Friday, December 2nd.
This means that of the 20,736 absentee ballots cast, 18,467 went to Clinton— This is highly suspect.
What’s Going On?
In addition, there were 41,120 more votes cast for President than for the Senate race in Pennsylvania when looking at the final tallies. This too is suspect.
50124343Over the weekend, voter fraud was reported in Nevada where Jill Stein and Hillary Clinton have not requested recounts. Of course this is because Hillary was awarded Nevada’s Electoral College votes in the election. Pennsylvania is one of the three states Stein and Clinton have chosen for recounts.

Federal judge orders recount in Michigan, placing Electoral College votes at risk
SO NICE TO HAVE FEDERAL JUDGES ON THE PAYROLL WHEN YOU NEED THEM
Goldsmith’s order thus puts Michigan’s 16 Electoral College votes at risk if the state cannot complete a hand recount of every ballot within the next eight days or if Goldsmith’s order is not overturned on appeal.

Obstruction Ahead: Senate Dems Plot Course to Delay or Derail Trump Cabinet Picks
Senate Democrats are preparing to put Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks through a grinding confirmation process, weighing delay tactics that could eat up weeks of the Senate calendar and hamper his first 100 days in office. Multiple Democratic senators told POLITICO in interviews last week that after watching Republicans sit on Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court for nearly a year, they’re in no mood to fast-track Trump’s selections.

Bill Whittle’s Firewall: Hillary’s Final Disgrace

Lift the Vote: Evangelicals Made the Difference in Florida, Other Swing States
“Trump carried the Evangelical vote by an overwhelming 81-16 margin,” Lift the Vote said in a statement released last week, citing preliminary exit polling data from a Pew Research report released on November 9, the day after the election.
“That represents a three point increase for Trump over Romney’s percentage four years ago, and a five point decline in support for Clinton versus Obama … a total eight point swing,” Lift the Vote noted.

Senate Majority Leader McConnell Against Free Speech – Surrendering FCC to Obama
Multiple DC sources have confirmed to GotNews that an effort to give Democrats control of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for months into Trump’s presidency is actually being led by Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell himself.
McConnell has reached an agreement with President Barack Obama and Democratic Senator Harry Reid to trade away control of the FCC for in exchange for confirmation of his own staffer, Neil Chatterjee, to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)

WI Lawmaker: Dems Are Stalling, Recount Will Not Be Completed, State Will Be Forfeited– WON’T COUNT FOR TRUMP
All of the votes in Wisconsin have to be certified by December 13 before electors meet on December 19 to formally cast their votes.
Duffy noted that Jill Stein and Hillary Clinton operatives in Dane County Wisconsin, where liberal Madison is located, are deliberately slowing down the vote counting process (primarily by doing a hand recount) in an effort to disenfranchise Wisconsin electors from being able to cast their votes for Trump.

“They want to slow walk the vote counting so they can somewhat get a stain on the election of Donald Trump and start his presidency off with mud throwing and dirt throwing,” said Duffy.

Kerry: Trump ‘elected chieftain’ — but America has other leaders too
CHIEFTAIN? DID HE REALLY USE THAT WORD?
President-elect Trump may have been “elected chieftain,” as Secretary of State John Kerry put it, but his policy priorities will be constrained by a need for consensus.
The outgoing secretary of state underlined the point by noting that “even in countries that are totalitarian by most measurements, there’s a lot of consensus-building … our future is not defined just by an election. I guess that’s the bottom line of what I’m saying.”

University’s ‘Whiteness Forum’ takes ‘critical look at whiteness’

Students at Cal State San Marcos on Thursday hosted a “Whiteness Forum” as part of a communications class they are enrolled in, setting up more than a dozen displays that highlighted what they contend is how white privilege has oppressed people of color in a variety of ways.
A “Make America White Again” display included an image of Donald Trump’s baseball hat and argued his campaign has led to a wave of hate crimes.
Other displays: “Gentrification is the new Colonialism,” “Stand up for Standing Rock” and a “Wheel of Whiteness.”

•Students at George Washington University, site of a recent walkout to demand a “sanctuary campus” to protect illegal immigrant students, say they favor defiance of other federal laws, too.

Hillary Supporter Bashes Elderly Woman Over the Head with Chair – Puts Gash in Her Forehead
A REAL TOUGH GUY
An argument over the recent election ended with one Donora, Pennsylvania, supporter of Hillary Clinton charged with assault after hitting a 69-year-old woman over the head with a chair, according to police.
Matthew Pugh, 27, was arrested on November 30 on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, and reckless endangerment, after allegedly attacking the elderly woman in the lobby of a high rise, according to the Observer-Reporter.

That Reminds Me

On yesterday’s post about the wrong words to songs, Mindful said this:

I actually saw the Kingsmen in the early 70s (whatever the lineup was by then) at a friend’s college homecoming. In the acoustically awful gym. With it cranked up too high to make out the words. So it was perfect Louie Louie.

That got me to thinking of my first concert. It was in 1965.My friend from 4H invited me to come with his family to the Rockford YWCA to see a Chicago band named The New Colony Six.It was in the gym and the band was on the stage, dressed in their Paul Revere and the Raider-type outfits. There were a number of Chicago bands who had local hits, like the Buckinghams and the Cryan Shames.Everybody knew the big time bands, like Chicago(originally Chicago Transit Authority, whose first gig was at bar near where I lived called the Cinnamon Cinder in 1967)and,of course,Styx.Any group who had a record tried to get it played on the midwest powerhouse,WLS 890AM.I started listening to it on my 6 transistor radio when I was about 13.
The only bands I heard in college were REO Speedwagon, all music students from the University of Illinois, who were doing a gig at the National Guard Armory with The Chambers Brothers. We also saw a texas band called Bloodrock.I was dating a girl who was a senior at Northern Illinois University in 1972 and she was on the ticket committee. They had mini-concerts,with the likes of Joan Baez and Mountain(Mississippi Queen).
The big concert was held at the NIU Fieldhouse and starred Reginald Dwight…also known as Elton John.It was just before his Honky Chateau album came out.I got to go to the after-party(at the Holiday Inn,where else?) and never heard anybody swear as much as Elton did. There was so much pot being smoked at the concert you could get a contact high.
Those were great times.A lot of happy memories of where you were and what you were doing when you first heard a song.It was fun.Surfin’,hot rods, losing a girlfriend,Motown, all harmless and it made you feel better about everything. So sad that what passes for music today celebrates violence, the degradation of women and blatant drug use.You don’t hold somebody when you dance. The dances today are close to what we used to call foreplay.
I would be remiss not to mention Rockford’s own hometown heroes,Cheap Trick.Rick Neilsen’s parents were both music teachers and owned the biggest music store in town.I remember sitting across the street on a Saturday afternoon watching a big U-Haul being loaded with amps and equipment from the store. At that time, their name was The Fuse.I actually had a music appreciation class at Rock Valley Junior College with Nielsen.I worked my tail off,got a “C”.He showed up for class about twice and aced it.Go figure. The drummer,Bun E. Carlos,(real name:Brad Carlson) went to Harlem High School with my child bride. He was class of 1967,same as her.
Times change, music changes.I haven’t listened to music since the hair metal days of the 80’s.(yeah,I listened to disco in the 70’s,but I won’t admit it.)but it is what it is,I guess. My grandkids think I’m a little strange, but their grandkids will probably think the same thing.

THIS IS THE STATION ALL YOUNG KIDS LISTENED TO:
