You can also utilize the candidate pages for adding links and information about specific candidates that others might find useful in deciding how to vote in the upcoming primaries or how to get more involved. News items should still be posted on the daily grudge, but this will give everyone a place to look for candidate-specific information, rather than hot issues.

I’ve added a link there, as well as on the Candidates page, to the GOP Primary Debate Schedule (which includes links to archives of each past debate). Don’t Forget…the first of two debates in New Hampshire is tonight at 9pm EST on ABC, followed by a 9am EST (yes…that’s AM!) debate on NBC. As I drove around this morning,alone with my thoughts as I delivered my papers, I got to thinking about Obama’s naked power grab.The more I thought about it the more he reminded me of Yul Brynner in The Ten Commandments.Both believed they descended from heaven to rule as some sort of god on earth.When the Pharaoh spoke he’d point a finger and say: ‘so let it be written-so let it be done.’ The scribes would scratch his words on parchment and issue his edicts to the unwashed masses who worshipped at the many temples he had built to himself.Notice the similarities?Pharaoh took half the straw from the Israelites and told them their quota of bricks must remain the same.Pharobama takes half of what his subjects have and scolds them for being greedy for not giving more for him to use as he will.
Both caused masses of humankind great hardship and deprivation merely because they felt it was their birthright to do so.The people should be grateful to be ruled by an omnipotent being and willingly sacrifice everything in service to him.

Before I saw this article I had it figured out.Pharobama is picking fights intentionally with congress and the senate knowing full well they won’t buy into it.Then he waggles a finger and wails they are a ‘do nothing’ congress.This was his stated plan all along.I recall reading somewhere when he finished his Hawaiian vacation he planned on getting the tax holiday extended for a year then devoting the rest of the year to campaigning for reelection.Maybe someday we’ll have a president who takes time out from running for office to actually do something for the country.

President Obama’s chief campaign strategist David Axelrod said today,

Imagining myself as one of the millions of monkeys who have been stuck underneath Obama’s butt the past few years got me thinking about that scene in Shrek, you know when Shrek is climbing up to Fiona’s castle with Donkey following close behind?

So speaking of Obamanomics … there were some celebrations when the unemployment rate dropped last month. But much of that drop was people leaving the labor force.
The official “unemployment rate” is not a counting of how many people who want jobs do not have jobs. It is a counting of how many people who do not have jobs are actively looking for new jobs.
Let’s say you’ve been looking fruitlessly for five months and realize you’ve exhausted every job listing in your area. Discouraged, you stop looking, at least for the moment.
According to the government, you’re no longer unemployed! Congratulations!
Actually, what happens is … they move you off the “unemployment” list and on to the “discouraged workers” list.
The current unemployment rate is 8.6%. But the real JOBLESS rate (including discouraged workers) is 11%. When you add in the “underemployed” — i.e., people working part time who want full time, and people working at jobs beneath their qualifications — the result is 20% or one in five.
That’s the number we should really be watching, hoping and praying will go down, because that is the number that represents real Americans who are not working at all or as much as they want or at the jobs they’re qualified for.

L.N. Smithee -As a fellow black conservative, nobody wanted to believe there was more to Cain than met the eye more than I did. The first two alleged settlements didn’t necessarily mean much. Sharon Bialek was the typical Allred foil — a worldly woman who has made big honking mistakes and should have known better, but who wants to blame everybody but herself. When Karen Kraushaar decided she didn’t want anyone asking why she asked for a JFK School of Business scholarship as settlement for a separate harassment claim, the whole distraction was dissolving into thin air.
Then, came the bombshell. No, not Ginger White; Cain’s brain freeze when it came to Libya. His sneer about not needing to know the king of “Bekibekistanstan” was troubling, but not fatal; his inability to articulate what his problem with Obama’s Libya policy was.
Ginger was icing on the cake, especially when he asserted that even though he gave her money, and they had a longtime “friendship” his wife was in the dark about the entire time, there was no sex. That crossed over into Clinton territory. The whole thing became a circus when Cain would announce that he was going to talk to his wife. What kinda BS is that, when the guy is treating a meeting with his spouse as if it’s an international summit?
I’m done with Cain. Maybe he and Mark Sanford could open up a pizza chain in Argentina.

Also, color me MEGA disappointed in Glenn Beck over this brain fart. As reported at Legal Insurrection:

I know Newt has his problems which is why he isn’t my primary candidate. And if you don’t support him in the primaries I totally understand. But to say he’s exactly like Obama, and on top of that, to say that a Tea Party member is racist for supporting Newt over Obama, that is absolutely absurd and in my opinion enough for me to discontinue watching Beck in any format, forever.

The 5-year funding is running out soon and the pro-abortion Obama administration recently notified the USCCB it would not be renewed, because of the Catholic program’s ban on abortion funding and/or referral.
Newt Gingrich issued an official statement about his position on abortion
“As I have stated many times throughout the course of my public life, I believe that human life begins at conception. I believe that every unborn life is precious, no matter how conceived. I also believe that we should work for the day when there will be no abortions for any reason, and that every unborn child will be welcomed into life and protected by law.…That is why I have supported, and will continue to support, pro-life legislation that not only limits, but also reduces, the total number of abortions, with a view to the eventual legal protection of all unborn human life.”
He also said that, if he becomes the GOP nominee and defeats pro-abortion President Barack Obama, he will implement a pro-life agenda immediately after being sworn in as president.
