The First Shots

Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump exchanged the first fiery salvos in what was most likely an inevitable civil war within the GOP.

After voting to acquit Trump, China Mitch McConnell publicly condemned Trump, basically saying he had promoted insurrection by spouting “false statements, conspiracy theories, and reckless hyperbole” after the 2020 election. He also condemned Trump’s “increasingly wild myths — myths — about a reversed landslide election.”

He said that Trump was “practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day. No question about it. The people that stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president.”

While McConnell acknowledged that Democrats have engaged in reckless remarks that may have incited violence, he insisted that Trump’s rhetoric was worse and that he had only voted to acquit because he thought it was unconstitutional to impeach a man who is no longer in office.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said on Monday that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s “scathing speech on the floor of the Senate” did not represent the viewpoint of the majority of the GOP.

Calvin Freiburger wrote a scathing condemnation of McConnell at LifeSiteNews.

[Excerpt] The narrative that Trump’s election challenge provoked the riot is not a good-faith argument; it’s a post-hoc justification for continuing to hold Trump responsible after the original theory, that Trump’s January 6 speech inspired it, fell apart upon reviewing Trump’s actual words and learning that the rioting was started by people who either left the speech early or skipped it entirely.

But McConnell is parroting it anyway.

Democrats are ascendant, the Left is as fanatical as it has ever been, the GOP is divided, and countless conservatives feel more abandoned by their party than ever before … yet instead of trying to address the concerns of 61 percent of Republicans in a productive way and re-unify the Right in time to ward off looming threats, McConnell chose instead to pander to Democrats, to the media, and to the hive of donors, lobbyists, and hangers-on that comprise the dominant culture of Washington, D.C. In short, this “leader” sided yet again with the Swamp against the people he’s ostensibly there to lead.

Trump’s reply to China Mitch was scorching.

The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political “leaders” like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm. McConnell’s dedication to business as usual, status quo policies, together with his lack of political insight, wisdom, skill, and personality, has rapidly driven him from Majority Leader to Minority Leader, and it will only get worse. The Democrats and Chuck Schumer play McConnell like a fiddle—they’ve never had it so good—and they want to keep it that way! We know our America First agenda is a winner, not McConnell’s Beltway First agenda or Biden’s America Last.

In 2020, I received the most votes of any sitting President in history, almost 75,000,000. Every incumbent House Republican won for the first time in decades, and we flipped 15 seats, almost costing Nancy Pelosi her job. Republicans won majorities in at least 59 of the 98 partisan legislative chambers, and the Democrats failed to flip a single legislative chamber from red to blue. And in “Mitch’s Senate,” over the last two election cycles, I single-handedly saved at least 12 Senate seats, more than eight in the 2020 cycle alone—and then came the Georgia disaster, where we should have won both U.S. Senate seats, but McConnell matched the Democrat offer of $2,000 stimulus checks with $600. How does that work? It became the Democrats’ principal advertisement, and a big winner for them it was. McConnell then put himself, one of the most unpopular politicians in the United States, into the advertisements. Many Republicans in Georgia voted Democrat, or just didn’t vote, because of their anguish at their inept Governor, Brian Kemp, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and the Republican Party, for not doing its job on Election Integrity during the 2020 Presidential race.

It was a complete election disaster in Georgia, and certain other swing states. McConnell did nothing, and will never do what needs to be done in order to secure a fair and just electoral system into the future. He doesn’t have what it takes, never did, and never will.

My only regret is that McConnell “begged” for my strong support and endorsement before the great people of Kentucky in the 2020 election, and I gave it to him. He went from one point down to 20 points up, and won. How quickly he forgets. Without my endorsement, McConnell would have lost, and lost badly. Now, his numbers are lower than ever before, he is destroying the Republican side of the Senate, and in so doing, seriously hurting our Country.

Likewise, McConnell has no credibility on China because of his family’s substantial Chinese business holdings. He does nothing on this tremendous economic and military threat.

Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again. He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country. Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First. We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership.

Prior to the pandemic, we produced the greatest economy and jobs numbers in the history of our Country, and likewise, our economic recovery after Covid was the best in the world. We cut taxes and regulations, rebuilt our military, took care of our Vets, became energy independent, built the wall and stopped the massive inflow of illegals into our Country, and so much more. And now, illegals are pouring in, pipelines are being stopped, taxes will be going up, and we will no longer be energy independent.

This is a big moment for our country, and we cannot let it pass by using third rate “leaders” to dictate our future!

Tyler O’Neil at PJ Media admits that McConnell started it and deserved a rebuke, but thinks Trump went too far. Not me. I’m fed up to the teeth with RINOs like Mittens Romney, China Mitch, the recently back-stabby Nikki Haley, and my own greatly disappointing Rep. Tom Reed.

Bits & Bytes

ASH WEDNESDAY: Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. During Lent, we believers set aside extra time for repentance, fasting, reflection on Christ’s life.

The ashes that Catholics receive on their foreheads come from the burned, blessed palms of the previous Palm Sunday. The Vatican published guidelines for distributing ashes during the pandemic. Some churches are going with drive through to limit exposure.

CATHOLIC: “What he is doing now is usurping the role of the bishops and confusing people.” – Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City, KS

CUOMO: On Monday, New York’s Democratic governor unapologetically doubled down on blaming “toxic politics” for the decisions that he and his administration made that first killed thousands of elderly nursing home patients and then tried to cover it up.

New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin wrote, “A second Emmy would not be good enough for that performance. Only an Oscar will do. After all, it takes an uncommon actor to pretend to be telling the truth and nothing but the truth when you are telling everything but the truth.”

Cuomo’s fellow Democrats are so underwhelmed by the whole thing that one of them wrote to the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences requesting they rescind Cuomo’s Emmy.

Queens Councilman Robert Holden wrote, “The Academy awarded Governor Cuomo ‘in recognition of his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic & his masterful use of TV to inform and calm people around the world’. We now know that his TV appearances and clout were used to mislead the public regarding how their loved ones died.”

IMPEACHMENT: On Sunday, Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD) declared the failed impeachment of former President Donald Trump a “dramatic success.” He also said he believed it was the “most bipartisan impeachment in history.”

Two Democratic presidents have been impeached and acquitted once each, while one Republican president has been impeached and acquitted twice. In all four cases, all of the Democrats voted party line. It was only Republicans who crossed party lines, appearing to have possibly listened to the evidence and voted their consciences, rather than voting as the party dictated.

Of the four trials, the one that was both most historic and most bipartisan was that of Democrat Andrew Johnson.

First of all, it occurred while he was still in office. Trump’s second impeachment was clearly aimed not at removing a criminal from the White House, but at preventing him from running for a second term in 2024.

Second, Johnson was tried on eleven charges, while Trump was tried on only one.

Third, the vote to acquit Johnson was just one short of the 2/3 needed to remove him from office. Trump’s vote was ten short.

And fourth, Johnson had ten of the 45 Republicans cross party lines. Trump had only six of the 50 Republicans do so.

KAMALA LIES: Jerknalists and so-called “fact checkers” are letting VFAUXTUS get away with repeating the much debunked fabrication that Trump left no vaccine stockpile or national strategy or plan for vaccinations.

Under Trump, the vaccine was created and approved faster than almost anyone thought was possible. And while they were in the process, Trump’s Operation Warp Speed had vaccine manufacturers geared up to be ready to begin distribution the minute the FDA gave its approval.

On January 22, Bloomberg’s leftie news rag reported that the Trump administration had recently hit its goal for a million vaccinations a day. And Anthony Fauci has admitted that there was already a plan in place before FAUXTUS took office.

LARRY ELDER: Election irregularities, the narrow margin in the 2020 presidential count, and lack of voter trust in the process [12:33]. N.b., this is worth watching, even if you’ve been paying attention. As an extra, at the end, Elder plays a recording of a Los Angeles city councilman who was unable to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

MEDIA COMEUPPANCE: Trump’s impeachment lawyer did an awesome job rebutting this idiotic jerknalist’s bias [2:00].

MEDIA MALPRACTICE: On January 8, the New York Times published a story stating as fact that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was beaten to death during the January 6 riot by a Trump supporter wielding a fire extinguisher. The story was repeated frequently by other media sources and appears to be generally believed by those who have been paying attention.

But the story was just a rumor, based on anonymous sources who were not in law enforcement. And now the fishwrap of record has published a retraction that will no doubt be widely ignored by those same media sources that pushed it in the first place.

On February 4, it was revealed by medical experts that Sicknick did not die of blunt force trauma. In fact, there is apparently so little evidence Sicknick was physically injured at all that the cause of death is still under investigation.

On CSI, toxicology results come back at lightning speed, but according to board-certified toxicologist, Alan Hall, MD, some of the tests take days, weeks, and even months. So it seems likely the cause will become apparent when these kinds of test results come back.

NATIONALIZED HEALTHCARE: Death panels are real in the UK, where all healthcare is “free.” Of course, it isn’t really free; everybody pays for it with high taxes. But not everyone benefits from it.

The Royal Mencap Society, a charity based in the United Kingdom that works with people who have learning disabilities, has reported that their constituency has faced shocking discrimination in and obstacles to accessing healthcare throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Many have had cuts made to their social care support and inappropriate Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) notices put on their files.

NOBEL PEACE PRIZE: Father Pedro Opeka, a Catholic missionary priest, has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his decades of work in Madagascar with the poorest of the poor who live on the site of a garbage dump. Father Opeka has founded villages, schools, food banks, and even a hospital to serve the poor.

Given the kind of people the committee has seen fit to reward in recent years, his chances are slim to none, which is a shame, since the money prize would actually go to people who really need it.

PARLER: It’s back! “Parler is being run by an experienced team and is here to stay. We will thrive as the premier social media platform dedicated to free speech, privacy and civil dialogue,” says Mark Meckler, Interim CEO at Parler

Parler was first launched in August 2018, but was taken offline by Amazon on January 10. Parler officials say their new platform is built on robust, sustainable, independent technology, that it isback online for current users this week, but will be ready to sign up new users by next week.

PERSECUTION: Trump’s impeachment lawyer, Michael van der Veen, has been targeted for punishment by the Left. His family has been terrorized. His life has been threatened. His home has been vandalized. And his business has been invaded. But don’t hold your breath waiting for Pelosi et al. to condemn this politically motivated violence.

PRESIDENTS’ DAY: Biden’s lackluster Presidents’ Day call for unity got ratio’d big time. [1:30] – CLICK https://twitter.com/bennyjohnson/status/1361401104244875268 [2:12] to see Trump celebrated in West Palm Beach.

CLIMATISM: More than 2.5 million people in Texas are currently experiencing rolling blackouts as temperatures remain in the single digits in many parts of the state. The Lone Star state is currently short of electricity because half of the Texas wind fleet (the largest in the nation) is iced over and incapable of generating electricity. Additionally, the natural gas infrastructure Texas has become so reliant upon has also frozen up.

Texas’s experience highlights the perils of becoming overly reliant upon wind and solar (which depend upon the weather) and natural gas (which relies upon just-in-time delivery), rather than coal or nuclear power (which store weeks’ or months’ worth of fuel near the power plant).

FAUCI: My grands in Texas have been back to school since August.

IMPEACHMENT 2.0: Nancy Pelosi is now the only House Speaker in U.S. history to have presided over TWO failed impeachments.

The seven Republican senators who voted Trump guilty are already facing backlash from within the GOP, where Trump remains a popular figure. Sadly, of the seven, two (Collins, Sasse) were just re-elected to six year terms and two (Burr, Toomey) are not running again. The most vulnerable one is Murkowski, up for re-election in 2022, followed by Romney, up for re-election in 2024.

MEDIA MALPRACTICE: At first I thought the nose should’ve pierced the guy’s brain. But then I thought the heart was more appropriate. On third thought … the dead guy should be dressed as Uncle Sam.

MINNESOTA: Following George Floyd’s self-inflicted death, Minneapolis was one of the stupid places where “Defund the Police” caught on. An unprecedented number of officers quit or went on extended medical leave, dropping the number of experienced officers available by 200.

The ensuing crime wave has resulted in the City Council voting unanimously to spend $6.4 million to hire dozens of police officers. With new recruit classes, the city anticipates it will have 36 new officers available by the end of the year, with another 28 in the hiring process.

I wouldn’t recommend anybody move to Minneapolis any time soon.

TEXAS: On the ground reporting from our New York offspring who married a Texas boy – “This is truly historic weather for us! We’re in single digits, wind chill is below zero, we got about 6″ of snow last night and due to wind, we have snow drifts. Something I’ve never seen in Texas!

Ground is covered in ice under the snow so everyone is hunkered down. Rolling power outages right now. It seems the electric companies are doing a good job though. Power isn’t staying off in our area for too long. House is in low 60s so not a concern!! In an odd way, this makes me feel close to my home roots. And it brings me complete peace.

Please do pray for those without warmth. There are more than two million people in Texas without power right now. This front is huge and spans across multiple southern states so it’s impacting a lot of people and animals.

THE RIG: You can get an electric wheelchair for less, but at $4,750, this light-weight, electric, wheelchair friendly, legal anywhere vehicle, with off-road and storage capacity, is a bargain. Unless you want to hit the beach, then you’ll need one of the $17K types with dune-buggy wheels.

TRANS: LGBTQ activists are trying to ban researchers from studying transgender people, lest they, horrors!, find some way to cure them.

I’m guessing they know perfectly well that they’re all damaged goods, not “born that way”, and that research that supported the truth would limit their ability to make themselves the most super special minority group ever.

VIRGINIA: The Sheriff of Franklin County and four of his deputies all welcomed baby girls into their families within weeks of one another. They got together to mark the rare occasion with this adorable photoshoot. The girls’ onesies say, “My Hero.

GRAMMY NOTES: When Dearest and I are eating together, we play a game of Backgammon, then a hand of Rummy. For Rummy, we started out making two house rules. One was that aces can be both high and low at the same time, so K-A-2 is a valid set. The other is that you can go out with or without discarding.

As we’ve played more, we’ve added a few new ones. One is if you accidentally throw away a playable card and notice it before your opponent does, you can call “Rummy” and take it back without needing to discard again. The “accidentally threw it away” part is an honor thing.

Also, I was really uncomfortable playing 6-6-6, so I asked if we could ban sixes as sets. He was fine with it. We noticed it added an interesting dimension to the game, since it made sixes safer to discard.

Yesterday, we added a variation that should make things even more interesting. Only three sixes is banned; if you can play all four sixes at once, then that is a valid set. 🙂

FEBRUARY 13, 2021: The unconstitutional impeachment ended exactly as predicted, with an acquittal. Fifty-seven senators voted to convict, including all the Democrats plus these seven a**hole Republicans who need to be primaried asap – Sens. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.)

All 43 senators who voted to acquit Trump are Republicans. A conviction required a 67 vote supermajority.

You can read Trump’s statement following the acquittal at the third link below.

BLM/ANTIFA: Don’t hold your breath waiting on Democrats to condemn the violence [7:17] – Eleven protesters were arrested and 2 officers injured during Saturday’s “F*** 12” march in Midtown Manhattan. They also put up barricades in the street, illegally blocking traffic, and burned a U.S. flag and a Blue Lives flag.

At one point, someone pointed at a journalist and yelled, “He’s a cop!” About a dozen protesters surrounded the man, shoving him and beating him with their fists and other objects. He suffered a broken nose.

In Portland on Friday night, black bloc members harassed police officers, screaming “Quit your jobs” at them. They also bashed windows at storefronts and at an urgent care center.

Last weekend, BLM and Antifa demonstrators marched in the streets of Washington, D.C., where protesters tangled with police officers. As the crowd marched down the streets, they chanted threats to “burn down” the nation’s capital.

BLUE CHECK: The slide above was included in the Democrats’ opening argument. The sender of the two tweets, Jennifer Lynn Lawrence, says they falsified the record by adding a blue check mark.

I’ve never been verified on Twitter so why did my Tweet used in the fact-free impeachment include a verification badge? I’m assuming Democrats faked it like they are faking the whole case.”

I went to her Twitter account. It’s true that she does NOT have the blue checkmark that mysteriously appeared in the prosecution’s slide.

She also pointed out that the slimers altered the meaning of the second tweet, claiming she had promised Trump that she’d bring the “cavalry” (mounted military troops), when what she actually wrote was “calvary” (the salvation Jesus won for everyone when he was crucified).

To put it simply, Y’ALL NEED JESUS.”

BOOK BURNING: A Black Lives Matter protester was fired from his job at the library in Chattanooga, TN, after an investigation uncovered that he had removed conservative books and burned them.

Cameron Williams currently faces charges of obstructing an intersection, blocking an emergency vehicle, and taking the Sheriff’s flag from the county jail and burning it at Miller Park. In 2014, he was charged with driving without a license.

BORDER: Because building the wall was a waste of money, the FAUXTUS administration has built a 160,000 square foot facility on 45 acres of land to provide processing capacity for the surge of arrivals at the Rio Grande Valley Sector. The facility is weatherproof, climate-controlled, and is expected to provide ample areas for eating, sleeping, and personal hygiene.

CALIFORNIA: The parent advisory council unanimously supported Seth Brenzel joining the San Francisco Board of Education’s parent committee. But when they submitted his name, the Board of Education members spent two hours debating if he should be approved. At issue was the fact that he is white.

After the lengthy debate, during which the lack of Arab, Vietnamese, and Native Americans on the committee was noted, the school board decided against voting on his appointment at all and asked the council to find alternate candidates that would improve the diversity of the committee.

Speaking of diversity … while Seth is White, he is also a male who shares a mixed race daughter with his husband. The 15-person council currently has only 10 members. Two are Black, one is Asian-American, three are Latinx, one is a Pacific Islander, and three are white. NONE are male. And NONE are homosexual.

When my brother ran a hotel in Los Angeles, he was required to match the local demographics in every department. (He was also forbidden to ask anyone what their racial identity was … but that’s California for you!) Anyway, here is the makeup of the population of San Francisco compared with the makeup of the ten members of the parent committee (in parentheses). It seems very clear to me that the SF School Board’s rejection of Seth Brenzel’s offer to serve on the parent committee is not about diversity, but about hating white men.

Female: 53% (100%)
Male: 49% (0%)
White: 48% (30%)
Asian: 33% (10%)
Latinx: 15.1% (30%)
Other: 6.6% (0%)
Black: 6% (20%)
Mixed: 4.7% (0%)
Same sex married: 3% (0%)
Native American: 0.5% (0%)
Pacific Islanders: 0.4% (10%)

CANCEL CULTURE: Progressives who accuse conservatives of taking part in cancel culture really need to learn this distinction.

CAPITOL SECURITY: Steven Sund was Chief of the U.S. Capitol Police on January 6th. He says his superiors lied when they claimed that nobody at the Capitol asked for additional security support. Sund says he requested assistance six times ahead of and during the attack on the Capitol. Each of those requests was denied or delayed. He warns, “If they don’t get their act together with physical security, it’s going to happen again.”

Oh, puh-leeze. They WANTED the breach and the riot to happen so they could use them as an excuse to impeach Trump and silence and purge his followers from the public square.

CATHOLIC: [30:36] – Father William Kosko, Pastor of St. Henry’s Parish, Buckeye, AZ, gave a homily that is worth hearing.

FARCEBOOK: FB has cancelled the account of Christian conservative actor Kevin Sorbo. Known for his role in the TV series “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys,” Sorbo had half a million followers.

IMPEACHMENT: Democrats have now set a precedent whereby Congress can impeach a president who is no longer in office.

MATH: Getting the right answer has now been declared racist. By all means, People of the Left, let’s make absolutely sure that people of color will NEVER get off welfare.

OIL: The Left bitched endlessly about how Bush supposedly went to war over oil. When we are energy independent, like we were when Trump was in charge, that wasn’t a problem, now was it?!

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS: Fourteen suits, 58 dress shirts, 300 neckties and various other items of clothing that once belonged to Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek have been donated by the show and the Trebek family to a reentry program to be worn on job interviews.

SCIENCE: CLICK https://twitter.com/PinonPost/status/1360030693900845058 [:40] to hear a piece of a New Mexico Senate floor debate about abortion. Democrat Senator Jacob Candelaria says angrily that he got “that same prop” and “threw it in the trash” because “not everyone agrees on when life begins.”

Actually, every scientist agrees that human life begins at conception. Even when you and I were merely a single cell, then two, then four, etc., we were DNA-unique, 100% human, and alive.

What is at issue in the abortion debate is whether that human life is classified under the law as “property” (which can be thrown in the trash) or “person” (whose rights must be protected under the law).

Ironically, back when slaves and women were classified as property, the unborn were classified as persons. Legalized abortion is the only time in our history when a protected group lost rather than gained civil rights.

THE STUPID, IT BURNS: Nikki Haley was publicly critical of Trump’s complaints about Pence certifying the election. I kinda agreed with her, though I wouldn’t have made as big of a deal about it as she did. I think Pence was in a no-win situation and did what his conscience demanded. Shortly thereafter, when Democrats wanted him to do something else, he reminded them that he hadn’t violated his conscience or the law to please his boss and he wasn’t going to do it to please them.

Anyway, Lefties are tickled with Haley (for the moment … the next time she condemns abortion, they’ll hate her again). Among the rah-rah tweets was this pricelessly ignorant one by Sean Penn. Nick Arama at Red State said, “Wow, so much to unpack there. Evangelicals run by the Vatican? And impeachment by the Catholic Church? Not to mention ‘following Satin.’ He probably doesn’t want to talk about sex parties, that’s usually the Democrats’ domain when it comes to scandals.”

This tweet was brought to you by a confused fusion of pre-reformation theology, meaningless political expedience, Bed Bath & Beyond , Dante, and Hollywood weekends.”

Tweeters had fun. “To spend a day in Sean Penn’s brain would be a trip. The Catholic Church has authority over all Christians and the road to hell is paved with satin and lace.

I’m Jewish, so I’m not familiar with these Evangelical Catholic sex parties. Are they as fun as they sound?

And finally, “Don’t do drugs, kids.”

GRAMMY NOTES: For Valentine’s Day, Dearest and I assembled our new Mascot puzzle. Such dear faces! 🙂 ❤

AOC Traumatized After Car Being Driven by Ted Cruz Backfires

traumatized

WASHINGTON – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was unable to work Friday after being traumatized from an incident involving a fellow politician. A day before, AOC had accused Senator Ted Cruz of trying to have her murdered during the unrest at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Whether it’s climate change, economics, or anything Republican-related, AOC is considered the drama queen of all drama queens. She accused Ted Cruz’s words of making her a marked woman, when Cruz did nothing of the sort. Still, she pretends to be on edge.

On Friday morning, as Senator Cruz cruised into the Capitol parking lot in his 2008 Chrysler LeBaron, his car backfired. Cortez and several of her aides screamed and hit the ground. According to witnesses, Cruz was laughing his ass off in his car at the sight.

The shaken congresswoman, unable to work the rest of the day, was only able to tweet after the incident. “Sen. Cruz tried to shoot me with his car today. As much as I would like to work with him on issues we can agree on, I refuse to do so with someone who continues targeting me.”

Cruz responded, saying, “Give me a break. My car backfired. The engine timing is off, maybe a cracked distributor cap, I don’t know. I need to get it checked out, but I just haven’t gotten around to it. Good lord, where does she come up with this stuff?”

At first, Cortez thought she had narrowly escaped sniper fire, like Hillary Clinton imagined she had. But after talking with aides, she determined Cruz had tried to shoot her with his car.

“I don’t know what, like, backfiring is, but I’m going to call a gun store and ask them. If I can save even one drama queen from being the victim of a backfire, it’s worth it.”

When told that backfiring was the by-product of a combustible engine, she first said she didn’t know that cars were a type of gun. Then, she insisted this is another reason to rid our world of fossil-fueled engines. AOC claimed that future engines, powered by flower petals, would never backfire.

Impeachment Hypocrisy

On Friday, former President Donald Trump’s legal team went on the offensive, using a strategy many conservatives have recommended.

They argued that Trump did not use any inciting language on January 6th, before the breach of the Capitol, but that numerous members of Congress have done so repeatedly over the past two years. Then they played lots and lots of videos.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said the 2016 election was “hijacked.” She has also called the president both an “imposter” and a “traitor.” And she recently referred to her Republican colleagues in the House as “the enemy within.

Speaker Pelosi never called the violent left-wing anarchists who conducted a sustained assault on a federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon, “insurrectionists.” Instead, she called the federal law enforcement officers protecting the building “storm troopers.”

When violent mobs destroyed public property, she shrugged it off saying, ”People will do what they do.

In one instance in 2018, referring to anger over migrant children being separated from their parents, she told reporters, “I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be when people realize that this is a policy that they defend.”

She also said on multiple occasions, “You have to be ready to throw a punch.”

Other Democrat leaders have followed her example.

  • Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), during a 2020 appearance on MSNBC, said, “There needs to be unrest in the streets for as long as there’s unrest in our lives.”
  • Vice President Kamala Harris encouraged people to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which bailed out defendants charged with murder, violent felonies, and sex crimes.
  • President Joe Biden and a number of senators spoke to crowds on multiple occasions about beating Trump up.
  • Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) objected repeatedly to 2017 electoral results, something that supposedly is a threat to democracy if Republicans do it.

The point clearly went over Sen. Richard Blumenthal’s (D-CT) head. Afterwards, he told reporters, “They’re trying to draw a dangerous and distorted equivalence. I think it is plainly a distraction from Donald Trump inviting the mob to Washington.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said that the prosecution’s case presented “virtually no argument” on how Trump’s conduct meets the legal standard of incitement. “The House managers focused a great deal on the president, using words like ‘fight or fight like hell.’ Well if that constitutes incitement, then every single political candidate in America is guilty of incitement. Because I guarantee you all 100 senators in that chamber have stood on the stump and said we need to fight or fight like hell.”

CANCEL CULTURE: MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano, who starred in the Star Wars show “The Mandalorian“, has been fired for comparing criticism of conservatives to the oppression of Jews in Nazi Germany.

But, unlike the Left which eats its own, the Right takes care of its own. The Daily Wire has picked up Carano with an offer to let her develop, produce and appear in an upcoming film.

Carano says, “I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.

Ben Shapiro said, “This is what Daily Wire exists to do: provide an alternative not just for consumers, but for creators who refuse to bow to the mob.”

CATHOLIC: [15:37] – CINO Pelosi says that promoting abortion and slandering pro-lifers is “for the children.” EWTN interviews Pelosi’s archbishop, Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, about his criticism of Pelosi. “Killing children in the mother’s womb is evil.”

In related news, Catholic University of America (CUA) chaplain has come under fire for pressuring the university’s Students for Life chapter to cancel its invitation to pro-life activist Abby Johnson. The CUA College Republicans group hosted the event instead, while the pro-life group’s president resigned “because of how I was pressured, against my conscience, by the University Chaplain in his capacity as adviser.”

COVID-19: The CDC is now recommending “intubation kits” at vaccine sites. Know why? Probably because the VAERS reports include many cases of anaphylactic shock so severe that multiple doses of epinephrine were not sufficient to restore breathing and intubation and ventilation were required.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, M.D., a world-renowned microbiologist living in Germany says masks and social distancing are unwarranted, while the COVID-19 vaccine is “downright dangerous.” His book, Corona: False Alarm?, gives the facts and figures.

DEMOCRAT vs. REPUBLICAN: A data mining geek has found that the best predictor of voting trends, bar none, is marital state.

In the presidential race, married men voted 56% Trump – 42% Biden, while married women voted 52% Trump – 48% Biden. Married couples voted for Trump at a higher rate in 2020 than they had in 2016.

While it is true that conservatives are more likely not only to get married, but also to stay married, researchers suspect that getting married tends to make couples become more conservative, particularly if they have children.

EATING THEIR OWN: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the son of former U.S. attorney general Robert F. Kennedy, nephew of former president John F. Kennedy, and reliable left-wing Democrat, has fallen prey to the Left’s ever-changing, yet always-rigid standards.

RFK Jr. is the founder of Children’s Health Defense (CHD). In recent years, he has been an outspoken critic of harmful vaccines. Too bad for him that the Left’s speech police are currently pimping the COVID-19 vaccine. Because he posted negative information to his Instagram, the platform has banned him.

At the time his account was removed, he had over 800,000 followers.

GERMANY: A German court has fined a Christian minister €8,100 for “inciting hatred.” His actual “crime” consisted of defending the biblical definitions of gender and sexuality.

MASKS: Campaign Joe said he would mandate 100 days of mask-wearing; now he’s saying a whole year. Meanwhile, the science shows that, outside of a medical setting, masks make no statistical difference in case rates.

Iowa’s Republican Governor Kim Reynolds has lifted the state’s mandate on masks, physical distancing and size limits on gatherings, urging Iowans to make their own decisions.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS: For the second time in two years, seven-year-old Skylar’s dad stood her up. But this time, her 11-year-old brother Christian was prepared to step in. He said, “She deserves to know that a man can keep his word and that she’s really special.”

His mom posted her pride in her son on Facebook saying, “Just know that I’m raising someone a GREAT HUSBAND one day.” Yes. And a great DAD too!

SUICIDE REGRET: Watch this! [10:10] – In the four seconds he had between stepping off the Golden Gate Bridge and hitting the water, Kevin Hines called out to God to save him.

I thought I had to die, and I was wrong.”

As he struggled in the water, he prayed not to drown. To his amazement, and the amazement of onlookers, a sea lion kept him afloat, pushing him above the water until the Coast Guard arrived.

A year to the day after his suicide attempt, Kevin’s father father took him back to the Golden Gate Bridgeand encouraged him to throw a flower in the water. When he did so, a sea lion popped above the water.

The Suicide Prevention Lifeline in the USA is 1-800-273-8255.

The Canadian Suicide Prevention service is 1-833-456-4566.

TEXAS: CLICK on the link to see the embedded video report of a Peeping Tom who managed to evade two cops, but not the victim’s Texas Mom. [2:02]

TWITTER: Former President Donald Trump has been permanently banned from Twitter. Twitter’s CFO Ned Segal says they won’t let him back on EVER, not even if he runs for president again in 2024.

Project Veritas has also been banned forever and ever. I’m soooo sure The Donald and James O’Keefe are both weeping into their Cheerios over being booted off this loser platform.

I mean … it’s kind of like having the kids at the nerd table telling you to go sit with the other cool kids at the jock table, isn’t it?

VAX DEATHS: The Brits have revealed that 244 people, including 8 unborn babies, have died in Britain shortly after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine injection.

The Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine is implicated in 143 of the deaths and 5 miscarriages; the Oxford University/AstraZeneca vaccine is implicated in 90 of the deaths, plus 3 of the miscarriages.

The brand of vaccine was not specified in three of the deaths.

ZOMBIE IMPEACHMENT: The same Democrats who have repeatedly encouraged political violence on the part of their own followers have acknowledged that President Trump did urge the “Save America” rally to march peacefully.

BUT, he only said it ONCE in the whole 11,000 word speech! And he, like, said “fight” or “fighting” TWENTY times. Oh. Em. Gee.

GRAMMY NOTES: Our Texans had freezing rain for half a day straight! Army Princess sent a bunch of photos from their yard. The left one is a rubber tree plant, while the right is a close-up of the lawn.

My sil is such a sweetheart. They have a bird nesting in the rafters of their covered deck. He aimed his grill at her and turned it on low to provide some warmth during the frigid temperatures.

BIDEN: In the past, FAUXTUS has spoken approvingly about committing violence against political opponents.

  • In 2016, Biden said he wanted to take Trump “behind the gym.
  • In 2018, Biden said he wanted to take “behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.”
  • In 2018, Biden said of Republican Kevin Cramer, “I’d like to give him a high threshold of pain. I’m serious. I’m really serious.”
  • In 2018, Biden repeated the remark about wanted to hurt Cramer at another venue.
  • In 2020, Biden told a Detroit factory worker “you’re full of sh-t” and challenged him “to go outside with me.”

The second URL below gives 28 times the Left Stream Media and Democrats either excused or endorsed violence committed by Left Wing activists.

BLM: On January 10, protesters at a BLM rally shoved Tara Anne Szczepanski around, sprayed her with silly string, spat on her, hit her with a skateboard, smashed an egg on her head, knocked her cellphone to the ground with an umbrella, and smeared a dirty diaper in her face. The crowd shouted, “Don’t protect her. She’s for Trump.” Two men were recently arrested for their participation in the assault.

CLICK https://twitter.com/PoAmBrotherhood/status/1348364665626251267 [:45] to see a black man assault Tara, a black woman, because Black Lives Matter … or something.

CAPITOL BREACH: Worth watching – CLICK https://www.facebook.com/cherry.walker1/posts/10221974220959248 [19:09] to hear Candace Owens look amazing AND speak coherently for 19 minutes about “mostly peaceful protests” vs. the “Capitol Hill Riot.” Why is this so amazing? She just gave birth and has a nursing newborn!

CHALLENGING ELECTIONS: When Republicans do it, it means the end of democracy. When Democrats do it, they’re champions of truth, justice, and the American way. Two very tight 2020 elections were recently called for the Republican candidate and both Democrats are crying foul.

In Iowa, loser Democrat Rita Hart wants the House of Representatives review the election and determine if action needs to be taken. The Republican won by just 6 votes, but Hart contends nearly two dozen valid ballots were not counted.

In New York, loser Democrat Anthony Brindisi has taken his case to the courts. To make it all the richer, Brindisi has hired a lawyer from the now infamous law firm Perkins Coie to, get this, look into the troubling possibility that tabulation machine errors disproportionately affected Brindisi. Yeah, those exact same tabulating machines we’re not allowed to talk about on social media, cuz THERE WAS NO VOTER FRAUD.

CHILD LABOR: This is true.

CHUDS: Acronym for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller. Originated with a 1984 awesome horror flick.

This term is regarded as the WORST possible insult you can dish out on the social media circles today. When you call someone a CHUD, you’re basically calling them every foul name you can think of in just four characters.

Alternatively, people who are not suffering from Biden Voter Regret.

CUOMO: Following a March 2020 state mandate, hundreds of New York nursing homes were forced to take more than 9,000 recovering coronavirus patients. This number is 40% higher than what the state’s health department had publicly disclosed.

During a recent conference call, Cuomo’s secretary told New York Democratic leaders that the governor’s office purposely hid the actual number of deaths, because the Trump DOJ was investigating the situation.

Basically, we froze,” she said. “We weren’t sure if what we were going to give to the Department of Justice, or what … was going to be used against us … if there was going to be an investigation.

Reportedly, at least some of the Democratic leaders on the call were underwhelmed by the apology and not ready to forgive Cuomo for the position he has put them in.

DEMONIC FOES: Skepticism about spiritual matters has become the dominant outlook in our culture, even among Christians. I once had an argument with the chair of the Theology Department at a well-known Catholic university who stated, without knowing a single thing about me, that the fact that I believe in demons and claim to have experienced their presence means, unequivocally, that I am cuckoo pants.

That’s why I’m sticking this plug in here for a new book titled Demonic Foes by Dr. Richard Gallagher, a practicing psychiatrist and medical school professor who is considered the world’s leading psychiatric authority on demonic possession. He has 25 years of experience working with people who have been possessed, attacked by demons, or have various kinds of paranormal abilities.

ELECTION FRAUD: CLICK https://media.gab.com/system/media_attachments/files/064/543/374/original/457cb7964fdff126.mp4 to see the EVIDENCE that foreign adversaries hacked the 2020 presidential vote [2:50] – Because they didn’t want four more years of Trump making America even greater!

Also, a hand count of the 2020 presidential presidential vote in Antrim County, Michigan, showed the Dominion vote tabulation machines had given Biden 6000 votes that should have been President Trump’s. They called it merely a localized “glitch”, certainly not evidence of widespread election fraud.

Extraordinarily, the exact same “glitch” has now been revealed in the Town of Windham, New Hampshire where a hand count of paper ballots proved that the Dominion machines cheated every Republican candidate of roughly 300 votes. Who can believe it since there was NO VOTER FRAUD?!

FETUSES IN VACCINES: 2018 testimony, under oath, by Stanley Plotkin, an American physician who worked for many years as a consultant to vaccine manufacturers [9:30] – I’ve seen statements claiming that the fetal cells used in vaccines come from lab-grown cells originally harvested from a tiny handful of babies who were aborted way back in the 1970s.

This testimony proves that this is a lie. Plotkin also admits that orphans and disabled kids were used in the development and testing of vaccines.

HOGG: Gun control activist David Hogg (20) has announced he is going into the pillow business so that his besties on the left will have a leftie purist alternative to MyPillow for all their pillow needs.

Tweeters are having fun mocking him.

Will your pillow business involve, at any point, the sale and manufacture of actual pillows?

It’s like they really believe they can run a business based entirely on a virtue signal. Let’s see if that works out.”

If I gave my 10 year old a little seed money, he would be far more competent at making and selling pillows (or anything else) than Hogg and his band of merry men.

PELOSI: Claudia Tenney has waited three months for her win to be certified. Normally, family is welcome at the swearing in ceremony. Not this time. Tenney says she was informed her son would not be allowed to watch from the gallery during “several exchanges” with Pelosi’s office through “text from staff and in person.”

Tenney’s son, Trey Cleary, is a 2013 graduate of the Naval Academy and a captain in the United States Marines who has served in Iraq. If Captain Cleary were a danger to democracy, it’s a good chance Capitol security would know about it. It’s a better chance Tenney’s opposition would’ve been shouting it from the rooftops during the campaign.

To my mind, his exclusion was just plain spite, something which Nancy “Devout Catholic” Pelosi ought to know (but clearly does not care) is a very serious sin.

The Catholic Catechism: “Sin committed through malice, by deliberate choice of evil, is the gravest. … If it is not redeemed by repentance and God’s forgiveness, it causes exclusion from Christ’s kingdom and the eternal death of hell.” (paragraphs 1860-1861)

PURGE: YouTube has shut down LifeSiteNews’ account and removed all their videos completely. LifeSiteNews anticipated this and has put its content up at Rumble.

VAX DEATHS: In Kentucky, four seniors died the same day they got their COVID-19 vaccinations, while four more in Arkansas died after a week. They were all frail, so these may not be vaccine related, but what the hell?! Some of these people had RECOVERED from the disease!

Everybody knows that natural immunity is superior to vaccinated immunity. Why the hell are people who have recovered being vaccinated at all?!

CLASSIC COACH: Buzz’s PE teacher mentioned his interest in lacrosse, so Mama and I scanned the internet for mentions of my brother, particularly ones I don’t already have printed out for our genealogy binder.

I was so touched to find one of his players, who now coaches, has included him and his “Five Offensive Commandments” in a “Classic Coaches” blog! I need a tissue.

ELECTION FRAUD: [3:41] – I don’t know how this video has managed to escape the purge, but it’s still available at YouTube as of 12:45 am on 2/11/21.

The video shows evidence that an ability that should NOT EXIST in U.S. voting machines not only does exist, but was employed to help steal the race for FAUXTUS. That function is called “weighted race distribution.” Where this function was employed, votes for Biden were weighted at more than 1.0 while votes for Trump were weighted at less than 1.0.

The evidence is obvious and very easy to see in this particular example. Here it appears that someone used a variation where every vote, regardless of who it was for, was split .659 for Biden and .322 for Trump.

IMPEACHMENT: Senate Democrats and RINOs Ben Sasse, Pat Toomey, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney, and Bill Cassidy voted 56 to 44 to proceed with the unconstitutional impeachment trial of private citizen Donald J. Trump.

Jeffrey Lord read through all 77 pages of the Democrats’ impeachment charges and found 75 lies. Lord is a contributing editor to The American Spectator, a former aide to Ronald Reagan and Jack Kemp, an author, former CNN commentator and staunch Trump supporter.

Lie # 1: The very first sentence reads: “This trial arises from President Donald J. Trump’s incitement of insurrection against the Republic he swore to protect.

Fact: President Trump did no such thing. I had a front-row seat at his speech on the White House Ellipse. I listened to every word. (Here is the text if you want to read for yourself. https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/donald-trump-speech-save-america-rally-transcript-january-6) The President recounted his views of what had happened in different states when it came to running the elections in their state. Then he said this: “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”

Read the rest at the second link below. But be warned, it’ll raise your blood pressure if you do!

JANUARY 6: A number of the FBI affidavits that have been filed against accused participants in the Capitol breach support our belief that the violent participants were already prepped to break into the building before they came to Washington.

Other evidence shows that federal law enforcement agencies had prior knowledge of a planned attack and that then-President Trump offered support from the military, but was refused.

It’s pretty obvious that a bunch of people wanted the incursion to happen so they could do exactly what they’re doing … demonize the right as violent insurrectionists who need to be silenced and removed from the public square.

MAXINE WATERS: [2:18] – In 2018, Maxine Waters was recorded at least twice encouraging her followers to get up in the faces of Trumpers and make sure they know they are not welcome to show their faces in public. They took her at her word.

Now, she says that her urging supporters to be increasingly “confrontational” and “forceful” against Trump allies was not actually meant to incite violence. Besides, in her opinion, it doesn’t compare to what Donald Trump said!

What she said in 2018: “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

On January 6th, then-President Trump told his supporters, “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”

After the violence erupted, he tweeted, “Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!

A half-hour later, he tweeted, “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!

MEDIA MALPRACTICE: In a surprisingly brazen article, “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election,” Time magazine brags about the “well-funded cabal of powerful people”, an “informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans” who engaged in a “conspiracy” to defeat Trump.

But far from admitting that they were “rigging the election”, the Time article claims proudly that “they were fortifying it.” What we call “election fraud”, Democrats call “a heroic grassroots movement intent on salvaging our democracy and preserving the integrity of this and future elections.”

MIKE PENCE: The Young America’s Foundation has announced that longtime ally and 48th Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, will formally join their team as the Ronald Reagan Presidential Scholar.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS: When 8-year-old Tallulah realized the fellow who delivered their packages was deaf, she learned to sign “have a good day” so she could say hello to him. It made his day! He taught her how to say “good morning, have a good day” before giving her a thumbs up. The two have become “lockdown buddies” who see each other once or twice a week.

CLICK the link below to see the embedded video. It’ll warm your heart!

RULES: Nancy Pelosi had metal detectors installed outside the House floor so that none of her fellow elected representatives could bring a gun into the chamber. And when a couple of GOP reps failed to go through the detectors, she slapped them each with a $5k fine. The fine for second offenses is $10k. (There is also a mask mandate for reps. First offense $500. Second offense $2,500.)

But as per usual with elitist Democrats, it’s “rules for thee, but not for me.” It didn’t take long for Pelosi to ignore her own rule. Multiple members report seeing her do it, but when Republican lawmakers asked the Sergeant-at-Arms to impose the penalty, he responded that the U.S. Capitol Police had not reported the incident.

Only the USCP can determine whether an individual has failed to complete security screening as only the USCP has sufficient training to determine compliance with USCP screening procedures. I have directed that the USCP produce and provide unusual incident reports on any individual who fails to complete security screening without exception. I have not received any unusual incident report from the USCP concerning the Speaker of the House.

IOW, Queen Pelosi gets to do whatever the hell she pleases, so shut up.

SAINT OF THE DAY: February 11 is the feast of St. Lucius, who was the bishop of Adrianople in the fourth century. He was martyred by the Arian emperor Constantius II in 350 AD for opposing the Arian heresy. Arianism was arguably the worst crisis the Christian church ever faced … until modern times.

Arianism was a 3rd and 4th century heresy started by an Egyptian priest named Arius who taught that Jesus was created within time by the Father. Arianism is also called Heteroousianism, because it taught that the Father and the Son have different essences or substances.

Arianism was declared a heresy at the First Council of Nicaea in 325, which reaffirmed Trinitarianism (aka, Homoouisianism), which is that Jesus is the second Person of the Trinity, who shares the divine substance with the Father.

Ousia refers to the essential nature or ‘substance’ of God. Hetero-, of course, means different while homo– means same.

Another way to understand the distinction is that Arianism holds that Jesus is sempiternal, meaning to have a beginning, but no end. (Humans and angels are sempiternal.) By contrast, the three Persons of the Trinity are co-eternal meaning they had no beginning and will have no end.

Modern variations on Arianism include Islam and Mormonism.

TDS: Unlike Obama Derangement Syndrome, which was cured when he left office, Trump Derangement Syndrome persists … like a malignant cancer.

ZOMBIES: William Jacobson describes what to expect from the “Night of The Living Dead-on-Arrival Impeachment Trial.

GRAMMY NOTES: Apparently, St. Nicholas said Mass and the rest are lining up to receive communion. 🙂

BORDER: [2:58] – The stoppage was not just a stupid political move, but the immediate stoppage is just wasteful. Besides laying off workers, they’ve got thousands of dollars worth of uninstalled wall that has to be paid for. At the very least, FAUXTUS could’ve done a phase down to finish what’s been ordered and give workers time to find new jobs.

CLICK (or not) https://twitter.com/CurtisHouck/status/1358835902743797762 [1:50] to hear Psaki blow smoke about FAUXTUS’ immigration policy, which allows illegal aliens to stay in America even after they deal fentanyl and heroin, commit fraud, commit assault, drive drunk, and launder money.

FLORIDA: City of Oldsmar [15:29] – On February 5, a hacker breached Oldsmar’s water treatment plant and increased the amount of sodium hydroxide by a factor of one hundred (from 100 parts per million to 11,100 parts per million).

Sodium hydroxide (aka, lye) is used in the water treatment process to counter the acidity of the water and balance the ph levels. In a concentrated level, the acid could have caused burns. After the hacker exited the system, the system operator immediately corrected the increase, so no one was hurt.

ILHAN OMAR: On February 5, Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI-07) and Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI-08) introduced a bill called the “Oversight for Members And Relatives Act” or the “OMAR Act.” If enacted into law, it would outlaw the practice of political candidates pocketing campaign funds by hiring their spouses.

The FEC shows that Ilham Omar’s 2019-2020 campaign paid nearly $2.8 million to her husband, Tim Mynett’s political consulting firm. In the third quarter of 2020, the $1.1 million that went to Mynett’s firm, E Street Group LLC, constituted nearly 70% of money spent by the campaign that quarter.

Omar says it’s all okay, because her adulterous relationship with Mynett, that resulted in two divorces, didn’t start until after her campaign was using the E Street Group. According to reporter David Steinberg, Ilhan not only left the father of her children but also had him fired back home in Minnesota.

JANUARY 6: [1:18] – According to Mark Meadows President Trump offered Capitol Police, national guard and even offered the Department of Defense to help protect Washington DC prior to the January 6th protests. Each time, he was told no.

MINIMUM WAGE: A member of the White House Counsel of Economic Advisers basically said, “So what?” to a new report by the Congressional Budget Office that shows a federally-mandated $15/hr minimum wage would destroy 1.4 million jobs.

MLB: A new revision to the COVID rules requires every players, on-field staff and non-playing personnel who require access to them at ballparks must wear an electronic tracking device while in engaged in team activities. For now, vaccinations are voluntary.

NFL: The league started bowing to the Left in 2016 and has since seen ever-decreasing fan participation. In the latest episode of “Get Woke, Go Broke”, Sunday’s Super Bowl hit a new low for viewership … and this despite the coronavirus forcing potential in-person fans from attending.

On a related note, Washington Post printed a liberal-pearl-clutching article about how problematic it is that the Buccaneers football team name glorifies piracy.

OUT LOUD: Elitism on display [:41] – In January, the Massachusetts Undersecretary for Climate Change, David Ismay, said the following during an on-line meeting with the Vermont Climate Council.

60% of our emissions that need to be reduced come from you, the person on your street, the senior on fixed-income. Right now there is no bad guy left, at least in Massachusetts, to point the finger at and turn the screws on and no break their will so they stop emitting. That’s you. We have to break your will. … That’s you. We have to break your will.”

PANDERING: The New York Slime demonstrates how pointless it is to bend the knee to the Left. Athletic events, particularly violent ones like football, are and forever will be tarred with the right-wing brush.

POLITIFACT: In November, Clara Hendrickson reported at Politifact that there was no evidence that ballots were smuggled into the Detroit counting hub at the TCF Center.

This week, The Gateway Pundit published video of a white van dropping off ballots late at night inside the TCF Center.

Afterwards, Clara Hendrickson reported at Politifact that, just because the video obviously shows ballots being secretly smuggled into the TCF Center hours after the deadline, it doesn’t prove there was any election fraud.

RELIGION: I prefer “radical” myself, because it means “arising from or going to a root or source; basic.” Radical Christians are the best people. Radical Muslims are the worst.

SAINT OF THE DAY: St. Scholastica (d. 543) was St. Benedict’s sister. St. Benedict founded his famous monastery for men at Monte Cassino, while St. Scholastica founded her monastery for women about five miles away. St. Benedict appears to have been spiritual director to both groups. Three days after St. Scholastica died, St. Benedict had a vision of her ascending into Heaven.

SNARK: CLICK https://twitter.com/CurtisHouck/status/1357514541966520322 [1:51] to hear Tucker Carlson take “overheated news guy” down about 20 pegs.

CLICK https://twitter.com/thenewsoncnbc/status/1357125038772748290 [1:19] to hear Shep Smith’s absurd report.

Bonchie at Red States writes, “The religious devotion to mask wearing is probably the most ridiculous thing to come out of the current pandemic. Over and over, data shows they don’t work. We’ve seen larger infection spikes in heavily mask mandated states than states that don’t have mandates at all. There appears to be almost no correlation between mask wearing and infection levels, likely because masks are simply an ineffective means of mitigation. You can blame that on a variety of issues, whether it be the type of mask, a lack of proper sanitation, or not ‘double masking,’ which is the latest fetish. Regardless, the fact that masks aren’t working remains almost undeniably true.

Further, when specifically talking about Florida, Smith’s outrage is more than misplaced. Florida has done things right. They’ve remained open so as not to destroy their economy, they’ve protected the most vulnerable, and they’ve created one of the top vaccination regimes in the country. All of that has added up to a death rate that’s barely half of the most disastrous blue states. The continued focus on them by hacks like Smith is purely political. You know what’s much more ‘shocking’ than some happy people buying groceries in Florida? The fact that New York continues to be a dumpster fire, or the fact that California, for all their lock downs and mask mandates, is doing terribly right now. You’d think a journalist would have an ability to separate the wheat from the chaff in this situation and do some real reporting.

Tucker’s take down is deserved because these people need to be shown for what they are. Shepard Smith is not a newsman. He’s a partisan, and an especially cynical one given his propensity to play-act mental breakdowns on air over things he deems impure. Florida doesn’t deserve his scorn. They deserve his praise. Past that, he should focus his attention on one of the many blue states that can’t even get their vaccines given properly, not some Twitter video of people deciding to not be miserable in a state that’s doing well.”

SPRINGSTEEN: [2:10] – There’s a very odd line in Bruce Springsteen’s Super Bowl appeal for national unity. At :33, he lists “between servant and citizen” as one of the great divides in our nation. Apparently, in Bruce-World, all the housekeepers, groundskeepers, and nannies are illegals.

Also by Unity Bruce = “I love Australia. If Trump is re-elected I’ll see you on the next plane.”
