Super Sunday Stuff

It doesn’t matter whether you plan to watch the annual spectacle that happens in a little while. To some it is the finale to the yearly season of large men beating each other up. My wife knows nothing about the game but watches for the commercials, which are the most expensive advertising spots in the medium. This year will be tainted by a bunch of rich black men whining about how stupid standing for our anthem is and how all cops are racists who shoot innocent black men in the back for fun. The NFL has a commissioner named Roger Goodell who just signed a 5 year extension with an annual salary of $50 million and a private plane for life. The owners surrendered to the players’ terrorism and will divert $100 million from legitimate charities and hand it over to grievance clubs like BLM and other socialist causes. It’s turned in to a bunch of crap. This makes it:

Everything about how far professional football has fallen and how the NFL celebrates the obscene, the vulgar, the dangerous, and the foolish will be on full display as that song blares as the Eagles take the field.
We do not know whether the Eagles will be kneeling prior to the big game as they have during the season. Or whether they will be following the dictates of their union which, after accepting $100 million from the owners, decided that white racism and police brutality were not so bad after all.
Meek Mill will not be there. He’s in the joint. The slammer. All for a violating his parole over and over and over. All for committing crimes over and over and over.
The Eagles don’t think that is fair. Don’t you know that crime is the new black entitlement? The mayor and district attorney of the City of Brotherly Love certainly do: That was their platform during their recent elections.
The Eagles and Meek Mill adopted each other, with the Eagles and other Meek Mill partisans selling eager reporters on one fairy tale after another of police misconduct, judicial corruption, and circumstantial evidence.

The #2 man at the FBI, Andrew McCabe was pushed out/resigned/terminated yesterday. The fact is he was placed on ‘permanent leave of absence’ until March when he can retire with full benefits… to the tune of $1.8 million. He will likely then get a six-figure job as a lobbyist on J Street where old politicians go to continue raking in big money. Congress voted to release the FISA memo, which will once again demonstrate how dirty and morally bankrupt the Democrats are and how deeply the system has been corrupted. Despite all the sh*tstorm, I still maintain nobody of any import is going to jail.

The Two Republicans Who Voted Against The 20-Week Abortion Ban
I GET SO TIRED OF THESE TWO.

The Senate voted 51-46 in favor of the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which was short of the 60 votes required to proceed to a final vote under current Senate rules.

Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine both voted against the bill, which would have prohibited abortions on unborn babies after 20 weeks, the age at which they can feel pain, with exceptions in cases rape, incest or to save the life of the mother.

Former Democrat Congresswoman Corrine Brown Turns Herself In To Prison, Still Draws Her Congressional Pension

SHE WAS SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS…SHE’LL BE OUT IN TWO OR THREE AND WILL IMMEDIATELY GET RE-ELECTED.

The bus paused at the prison complex’s entrance and waited for Bishop Kelvin Cobaris to cross the highway and get on board.  Cobaris had parked across the street from the prison, awaiting Brown’s arrival. Cobaris, who is the president of the African American Council of Christian Clergy, described himself as Brown’s spiritual advisor.

It’s unlikely that we will be able to see Corrine Brown’s mug shot. Unlike county and state corrections facilities, federal prisons rarely release mug shots.  Brown will continue to collect her Congressional pension while she’s in prison until the appeals process has been exhausted.

Take it from a veteran of Watergate.

One: There is no such crime as Russia/U.S. “Collusion.” The man who is running for President can talk to anyone he pleases. So can anyone who works for him. They can talk about anything except to disclose secret defense material.

Two: The Special Prosecutor is not a friend of Mr. Trump. He’s been in bed with Trump haters from the word “go”. He has no special place in history unless he hurts Trump very badly. He’s not going to just walk away from this without the trophy of inflicting heavy duty damage on Trump.

Three: Mr. Trump does not have to answer anyone’s f–king questions. He’s President. He can’t be cited for contempt. He can’t be indicted. He cannot be prosecuted especially for the non-existent crime of “collusion.” If he does not have to answer the questions and if the media will hurt him as much as they possibly can no matter what he does, why should he answer questions — especially under oath?

Mr. Trump, sir, this man wants to hurt you. Don’t help him. When you get back to D.C. from Davos, explain that you spoke too hastily, that you had not consulted your counsel. That you will have a look at written interrogatories and consider answering them with the help of your lawyers. Mr. Trump, this man, Mr. Mueller, is part of a conspiracy to drive you from office.

McConnell Announces Vote on Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced Wednesday that the Senate will vote next week on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act which would ban abortion at 20 weeks, the point at which science increasingly shows unborn babies feel pain.

“Last week Americans from all across the country, including many from Kentucky, came here to Washington to speak up for unborn children whom our legal system has denied the right to life,” McConnell said, referencing the recent March for Life.

Judge acquits Sen. Menendez on some charges

A federal judge has acquitted New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez and his friend Salomon Melgen of several charges, according to a new order filed Wednesday.

The order from Judge William Walls comes days after the Justice Department announced that it would retry its case against Menendez. The original trial, which took place in the fall of 2017, ended after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict on any of the 18 counts in the case.

Cuomo wants to let Dreamers go to college for free

Cuomo tucked a provision in his $168 billion budget plan that would amend state education law to make the undocumented students eligible for the Excelsior Scholarship program, which covers tuition costs for students from families with incomes of up to $125,000.

On Tuesday, he said the state would continue providing Medicaid to Dreamers regardless of any federal changes to the Deferred Action Childhood Arrival Program, or DACA.

Mayors boycott White House meeting after administration threatens sanctuary cities

The leaders of New York, Chicago and New Orleans were among the Democrats who snubbed the Tuesday afternoon event after the Justice Department sent a threatening directive to their cites and 20 other cities and counties over their sanctuary policies regarding immigrants.

New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, president of the mayors conference, also said the Justice Department’s attack on so-called sanctuary cities moved him to boycott the White House meeting.

“I cannot in good conscience as president of the Unites States Conference of Mayors go to a meeting under false pretenses,” he said.

The list of invitees made public by the White House did not include Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, whose city is also one that the Trump administration has challenged over sanctuary policies. His office said he was invited and opted not to attend.

On Thursday, January 18, 2018, the House Intelligence Committee quietly voted to make a memo documenting abuse of the FISA program available to fellow House members.

Shortly afterwards, Rep. DeSantis (R-FL) said the material is “deeply troubling” and raises serious questions about the ‘Russian collusion’ investigation.

Investigative reporter Sara Carter said the FISA memo is so explosive it could end Mueller’s investigation.

Hillary Clinton is in the middle of this, because her campaign paid for the phony Russia dossier which was then used to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on her political opponent, then-candidate Donald Trump.

Bill Clinton is a liar

We knew this, of course. He lost his law license for lying under oath. But he apparently didn’t learn anything about the value of honesty or the cost of getting caught, cuz he’s been outed for lying again.

When Hillary presumed to chastise President Trump for allegedly calling Haiti a “sh**hole nation,” a bunch of folks pointed out that the Clintons had a lot of responsibility for the current condition of Haiti, since they had looted Haiti relief money to pay for Chelsea’s wedding.

Bill Clinton tweeted,

No Clinton Foundation funds—dedicated to Haiti or otherwise—were used to pay for Chelsea’s wedding. It’s not only untrue, it’s a personal insult to me, to Hillary, and to Chelsea and Marc.

He included a link to a WaPo “fact checker” article saying it wasn’t true. Cuz we ALL really TRUST the Washington Post about anything to do with the Clintons, right? ::snort::

All eyes on Sen. Hatch as he weighs reelection bid
The political spotlight is shifting to longtime Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) as he considers whether to run for reelection in 2018. They have showered praise on the powerful Senate Finance Committee chairman for helping to shepherd the GOP’s tax overhaul through the upper chamber.

Much of the intrigue surrounding Hatch’s decision is centered on Mitt Romney, who reportedly plans to run for the seat if Hatch retires. If Hatch retires, Romney would become the immediate front-runner and would be expected to clear the field for the seat.

Trump and Romney have had a contentious relationship over the years. Romney waged a public campaign to stop Trump’s nomination in 2016. In one speech, he called Trump a “phony” and a “fraud.”  More recently, Romney denounced failed Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore hours after Trump endorsed him.

Asked earlier this month whether he was trying to prevent Romney from filling Hatch’s seat, Trump dodged the question.  “He’s a good man. Mitt’s a good man,” he said.

Israel will name a new train station after President Trump announced the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv will move to Jerusalem
The nation’s transportation minister Israel Katz said Wednesday that the station, if approved and built, will be a thank you to Trump for his “courageous and historic decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the state of Israel.”

Oldest daughter had to work at the hospital yesterday, so her family is coming over this afternoon for pizza and to exchange gifts. Big Sis works at a restaurant and has to work at 5:00. She needs to put gas in her car and pay for insurance. Her parents make them work for what they want. RJ detassels corn and puts it in a savings account that he can’t withdraw from without mom’s signature. I’m so proud that our kids are raising our grandchildren with a sense of responsibility and respect. I think that’s the greatest gift they could ever give me. Maybe we did something right.

CBO: At Least 4.5M Anchor Babies in U.S.

According to the CBO, there are 4.5 million anchor babies in the U.S. under the age of 18-years-old. This estimate does not include the potentially millions of anchor babies who are older than 18-years-old.

Should President Trump’s administration not enact major reforms to end illegal immigration — including constructing a border wall and ending birthright citizenship — the CBO estimates that at least another 600,000 anchor babies will be born to illegal alien parents in the next 10 years.

Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) once opposed birthright citizenship, saying in 1993 that “no sane country” would reward illegal aliens with U.S. citizenship for their children.

White House to remove historic Jackson Magnolia
The Jackson Magnolia that’s been in place behind the White House since the 1800s will be cut down, according to a report.

“The overall architecture and structure of the tree is greatly compromised and the tree is completely dependent on the artificial support,” documents obtained by the cable news outlet read. “Without the extensive cabling system, the tree would have fallen years ago.

The historic tree was planted after Andrew Jackson’s inauguration in 1829. Jackson’s wife, Rachel, died after he was elected in 1828, and according to CNN, the former president wanted to plant a sprout from his wife’s favorite magnolia tree from their farm in Tennessee.
Former first lady Michelle Obama took a seedling from the iconic tree in 2009 and brought it to the Department of Agriculture, where it could grow at the agency’s garden, and former President Barack Obama gifted a seedling from the tree to the people of Cuba in 2016.

Though the tree will be removed, another Jackson Magnolia will reportedly be planted there.

President Donald Trump wants Americans to think he re-invented Christmas.

But critics counter that Trump is promoting a version of the holidays that excludes members of other religions, and that his crusade to bring back Christmas is part of a larger attempt by the president to define America as a country for white Christians alone.

Is there anyone who carries himself better in word, in sentiment, in temperament, in optimism?”

Let’s close with the late-night comedians, who double down on the media’s arrogance. On CBS, Stephen Colbert told the president: “You’re the glutton with the button. You are a regular Gorge Washington. You are the presi-dunce, but you’re turning into a real prick-tator.” He added, “the only thing your mouth is good for” is acting as a holster for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s penis.

That’s how classy 2017 was, because there’s one thing at which liberals feel they excel: unifying the country with civil discourse.

Black Unemployment Rate Lowest in 17 Years

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the unemployment rate for black Americans is the lowest it has been since the year 2000, 17 years ago.

  • In November, the national unemployment rate for black Americans, ages 16 and over, was 7.3%.
  • The last time it was 7.3% was in the year 2000, during the months September, October and November.
  • During the Bush and Obama years (2001 -2016), the black unemployment rate fluctuated between 7.7% and a high of 16.8%.

NFL Cancels Final ‘Sunday Night Football’ Game Of Season

The NFL announced Tuesday that the final “Sunday Night Football” game of the season has been canceled, according to CNN.  The league had yet to announce who would play during the primetime game next Sunday, but with the chance that none of the matchups would have playoff implications for one or both of the teams, they opted not to schedule the game.
The other problem the league faced was broadcasting a game on New Year’s Eve, which would invite lower number of viewers traditionally on that night. Instead, fans can settle in for seven games at kick-off at 1 p.m. eastern Sunday and a total of 9 games starting at 4:25 p.m. eastern time.

In a season plagued with lower ratings due to the national anthem protests, the league’s decision was not surprising
